Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN FLASHING ON MY INSTRUMENT PANEL SINCE SPRING OF 2019. BROUGHT TO A COUPLE DIFFERENT PLACES AND THEY CAN'T CLEAR THE CODE. SAYS NO AIR BAG DETECTED. I HAVEN'T FIXED IT YET...CUZ I AIN'T GOT THE MONEY. WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE THE HEADLIGHTS BECOME DIM, AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE INSPECTED THE HEADLAMP CONNECTOR WAS MELTED AND THE WIRING WAS OVERHEATED. THE HARNESS WAS REPLACED BY A NISSAN DEALER AND IT MELTED AGAIN 3 WEEKS LATER. NISSAN HAS HAD ENGINEERS AND MULTIPLE DIAGNOSTIC SPECIALISTS LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE FOUND NO SOLUTION. IT IS OBVIOUS THEY HAVE USED TO SMALL OF A WIRE ON THE GROUND AND NOT SUPPORTED IT CORRECTLY IN THE CONNECTOR AS THE MELTING ALWAYS BEGINS WITH THE GROUND WIRE. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON OVER 500 TRUCKS.
CAR WAS PARKED ENGINE RUN FLAMES STARTED TO COME UP BY THE BATTERY SIDE .FOUND OUT THAT THE 2012 -2014 FRONTIERS HAD A RECALL FOR WIRE HARNESS CATCHING FIRE.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
