2022 Nissan Frontier Brakes Problems

On repeated times the ABS system dash light has turn on together with the cruise control, and ABS systment has stop working for certaing time periods. When the vehicle is left turn off for a few hours the ABS system starts working again

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer however, the cause of the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that various undisclosed brake components were replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the vehicle inadvertently accelerated and almost crashed into her home. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 32,000.

Recall for issue with braking system where vehicle can roll when in park. Nissan has not provided a remedy in a timely manner.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, he attempted to slow for traffic ahead of his vehicle. The contact stated that the brakes failed to operate as needed. The contact pumped the brake pedal and the vehicle stopped. The contact stated that there no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was no failure found. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact stated that the failure had become a recurring failure and he was afraid to drive the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle had begun to show electrical failure with the power door locks. The contact stated that the door locks would not lock properly or the locks would open independently. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,400.

On 2 recent occasions the truck's warning lights flashed on the dash and the vehicle applied the brakes for no apparent reason. The first occurance the dealer in Fairfield, Ohio, guessed there may have been debris blocking the camera eye. On the second occurance the dealer in Springdale, Ohio, could find no recalls or reason for the malfunction. Our concern is this malfunction will happen when the vehicle is going 70 MPH on an interstate.

The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the RPM’s increased and the vehicle revved up and jolted forward. Additionally, while driving, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was taken back to the same local dealer. The manufacturer was contacted by email and phone but failed to respond.
