Ok I have this problem with my upper oil pan. It has been discontinued. I have called around to dealerships because you cannot purchase it at a part store. I have a bad oil leak coming from it. How do I go by replacing it?
I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR SMOKING ONCE I START DRIVING. I HAVE TO CONSISTENTLY ADD MOTOR OIL AND IT SMOKES MORE. MY MECHANIC TELLS ME HE RAN TWO DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND NOTHINGS COMING UP. THEN MY DAUGHTER AND GRANDDAUGHTER WERE ON RT 130 IN PENNSAUKEN NJ MY SUV JUST STALLED AND WOULDN'T LET ME GIVE IT GAS. THEN IT JUST JUMPED INTO GEAR. IT DID IT TWICE WHILE CARS WERE SPEEDING BY TRYING TO AVOID REAR ENDING ME. MY HEART FELT LIKE IT FELL INTO MY SEAT. I HAD TO PUT MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON UNTIL I COULD FIND A SPOT TO PULL IN.IT HAPPENED AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. RIGHT NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. I HAVE TRANSPORT MY MOTHERTO HER HEART DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS. HOWEVER I TOO SCARED TO DRIVE.
WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY (IN MIDDLE OF NOWHERE)CAR STARTED JERKING/SHAKING/VIBRATING & CLUNKING/BANGING SOUND, FELT LIKE DRIVING OVER MILLIONS OF NAILS. CAR COULD BARELY DRIVE AT 40 MPH IN SLOW LANE W/HAZARDS UNTIL I COULD GET TO SAFETY AN HOUR AWAY. CAR CANNOT GO ABOVE 5 MPH TO GET IT HOME. RPM GOING WACKY NO POWER WHEN STEP ON GAS BUT ENGINE REVS. ENGINE LIGHT ON STEADY THEN FLASHES WHEN CAR GETS GOING AT ONLY 5 MPH (CANNOT GO FASTER) BUT I FINALLY GOT THE CAR HOME & I WAS SAFE. NOW CAR CAN'T BE DRIVEN & MUST BE TOWED TO A GARAGE. CAR HAS OIL LEAK & I REPLACED THE OIL PAN ALONG WITH FAULTY ALTERNATOR WHICH KILLED BATTERY JUST 2 MONTHS AGO. BOUGHT CAR USED 2/1/20. HAS 110,000 MILES NOW. ENGINE HOT/SMELLS HOT BUT TEMP GAUGE DOESN'T REFLECT THAT. I WAS NEARLY KILLED ON FREEWAY BY PASSING TRACTOR TRAILERS & TRAFFIC HAVING TO SPEED BY ME RECKLESSLY WHEN IT HAPPENED TO AVOID COLLISION-NO WARNING. VERY DANGEROUS & SCARY. I SEE THERE ARE NEARLY 600 OTHER CASES EXACTLY LIKE THIS!!! SINGLE MOM WITH 2 KIDS IN CAR - VERY DANGEROUS. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED. IT SOUNDS BY READING COMPLAINTS THAT IT'S THE TRANSFER CASE?
THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAPPENS EVERY DAY AND SOMETIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC!
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN ON ME. I TOOK IT TO 2 MECHANICS AND THEY BOTH SAID THE MOTOR SEIZED. THEY MENTIONED THAT THE CAR WAS BURNING OIL AFTER THE FACT. THERE WAS NO SIGNS ON MY DASHBOARD. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE ON THE CAR THAT I NOTICED WAS THE CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING A BIT SLUGGISH . I'VE REPLACED THE TIMING CHAIN AND FUEL PUMP. THE CAR ONLY HAS 96,600 MILES. THE MECHANIC CAN'T GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER JUST THAT THE MOTOR SEIZED .
MY CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING WHEN THE AIR INTAKE COMES LOOSE. THIS IS HAPPENING CONSTANTLY. I HAVE NARROWLY ESCAPED 2 ACCIDENTS. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION BOTH TIMES. I NOW HAVE TO MAKE SURE THIS CONNECTION IS SECURE BY STOPPING EVERY FEW MILES OF DRIVING AND EACH TIME BEFORE I START OUT FOR THE DAY.

THE TRANSMISSION IS SHOT AT 115, 000 MILES! JUST DIED ON THE INTERSTATE. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND SUDDENLY CAR DIED, SHE BARELY COULD GET CAR ON SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. TOOK CAR TO OUR NISSAN MECHANIC AND HE SAID THIS YEAR WAS KNOWN FOR BAD TRANSMISSIONS.
MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO CONTINUES TO STALL AFTER REPLACING THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR 3 TIMES. MY ISSUES SEEM TO FIT THE DESCRIPTION DEFECTIVE INTAKE AIR DUCTS. AIR INTAKE DUCTING SEPARATES FROM RESONATOR CAUSING ENGINE TO STALL. I FOUND A RECALL CAMPAIGN BULLETIN, NTB09-038, JULY 16, 2009. THIS RECALL WAS DENIED BY CLAY COOLEY NISSAN IN AUSTIN, TX ON NOV., 27, 2017.
I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, GOING ABOUT 70 MPH. MY VEHICLE DIDN'T WANT TO RUN PROPERLY. I WAS UNAWARE OF THE ISSUE, I THOUGHT IT WOULD STRAIGHTEN UP AFTER A FEW MINUTES. WELL, MY CAR JUST SHUT DOWN. I WAS LUCKY I MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY BEFORE AN ACCIDENT HAPPENED. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE SHOP IN THE TOWN I RESIDE IN. HE DIAGNOSED IT, AND SAID NISSAN MURANOS WERE KNOWN FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. HE PUT IT BACK TOGETHER, AS IT HAD SEPARATED. I DID SOME PERSONAL RESEARCH ON THE PROBLEM, AND SAW THERE WAS A RECALL CAMPAIGN FOR THE GENERATION 1 MURANOS (2003-2007), I THEN DID A VIN # CHECK, AND THERE WAS NO KNOWN RECALLS FOR MY VIN. I ALSO SAW DURING RESEARCH, THAT THERE WERE THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE. I REACHED OUT TO NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS, THEY MADE ME AWARE THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE DUE TO THE AGE AND MILEAGE OF THE VEHICLE. I THEN MADE THEM AWARE THIS WAS A BIG SAFETY HAZARD FOR MYSELF, AND OTHER MOTORISTS. THEY THEN TRANSFERRED THE CASE TO A REGIONAL CASE SPECIALIST. THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST, AGAIN, TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I THEN, EXPLAINED THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS PROBLEM. THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST THEN TRANSFERRED ME TO A SUPERVISOR. THE SUPERVISOR THEN CALLED ME BACK, AND TOLD ME YET AGAIN, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. THIS IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE TO ME THAT JUST BECAUSE, BY POLICY, THEY WON'T COVER REPAIRS THAT COULD LEAD TO THE EXTENT OF TAKING SOMEONES LIFE. I HAVE TOLD THEM EVERYTHING I INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE MAKING RIGHT AND/OR LEFT TURNS. BROWN'S DULLES NISSAN IN STERLING, VIRGINIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 149,000.
INTAKE BOOT SEPARATES FROM THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THE ENGINE STALLS. THIS CAN AND HAS HAPPENED TO ME AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. TOTAL LOSS OF POWER AND CONTROL. MECHANIC HAS WORKED ON IT REPEATEDLY AND IT KEEPS COMING OFF. AT BEST IT WILL STAY IN PLACE FOR A COUPLE MONTHS BEFORE IT COMES OFF AGAIN WITH NO WARNING. TOLD MY CAR IS NOT COVERED BY RECALL BUT HAVE EXACT SAME PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN RECALL.
ENGINE STALLS TO GAIN SPEED FROM 20MPH TO 40MPH SPECIALLY DURING HOT DAYS. IT SLIPPED WHILE DRIVING BOTH, CITY STREETS AND OR HIGHWAYS. SPEED PEDAL CAN BE PRESSED COMPLETALY WITHOUT INCREASES OF SPEED.
