TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WITHOUT PROPERLY SLOWING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF A BRAKE FLUID LEAK; HOWEVER, THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WENT FROM FULL TO EMPTY ONCE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DIRECTIONAL CONTROL BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED ONCE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.
TODAY, NOV 26, 2019, A DRY, SUNNY DAY NEAR BOSTON MY BRAKES ON 2010 MURANO FAILED AND CAR REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT AT ABOUT 10MPH. PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR , CAR SLOWED SLIGHTLY BUT WAS UNABLE TO STOP WITH PLENTY OF SPACE TO DO SO IN NORMAL CONDITIONS. UNABLE TO STEER AROUND IT DUE TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC ON LEFT AND HILL ON RIGHT. DAMAGE TO BOTH CARS. POLICE RESPONDED AND CAR EVENTUALLY TOWED TO BODY SHOP.. NOTICED SIMILAR COMPLAINTS BUT WHY NO RECALL?
I TOOK MY 2010 NISSAN MURANO LE AWD TO MAUS NISSAN OF NEW PORT RICHEY, FL BECAUSE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT WAS FLASHING. THIS WELL MAINTAINED, GARAGE KEPT VEHICLE WITH 74500 MILES, 95% OF SERVICE/MAINTENANCE DONE BY NISSAN, WAS IN PRISTINE CONDITION, SINGLE DRIVER,NO ACCIDENTS, AND RARELY EVEN A PASSENGER. WHEN I RETURNED 3 DAYS LATER, I WAS TOLD THE LIGHT WAS STILL FLASHING EVEN THOUGH THEY REPLACED THE "K88201AAOE SENSOR SIDE AIRBAG CENTER". I WAS BILLED $1840.81 FOR THIS REPAIR THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I WAS THEN TOLD THE DIAGNOSTICS SAID THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE "SEAT OCCUPANT SENSOR" FOR AN ADDITIONAL $4210.81 BECAUSE THE PART WAS INTEGRATED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT SO THE WHOLE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HAD TO BE REPLACED! I WAS THEN ADVISED TO CALL NISSAN'S CORPORATE CUSTOMER CARE AT 1 800 NISSAN1. MY MAUS SERVICE CONSULTANT SAID SHE HAD SEEN CUSTOMERS WITH "130000 MILES AND A BLOWN TRANSMISSION" AND CUSTOMER CARE HAD COVERED THE REPAIR. SHE ALSO SAID THAT THEY WOULD LIKELY REIMBURSE MY $1840.81 SINCE THE REPAIR DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE AND DETAILED MY SITUATION. A WEEK LATER THEY CALLED TO TELL ME THAT MY REQUEST HAD BEEN DENIED. I REACHED OUT TO MAUS NISSAN VIA THEIR FACEBOOK AND WEB PAGES AS WELL AS A YELP AND GOOGLE REVIEWS. ATTACHED ARE COPIES OF MY INVOICE, ADDITIONAL REPAIR ESTIMATE AND THE ONLY NON AUTOMATED REPLY FROM WITH MAUS NISSAN.
THIS SYMPTOM OCCURS AT ALL SPEEDS. WHEN BRAKES ARE DEPRESSED, THE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. BRAKES DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY CAUSING INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE. THIS ISSUE IS A HAZARD FOR OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD AROUND THE VEHICLE. THE SYMPTOMS THE VEHICLE IS EXHIBITING ARE IDENTICAL TO 2009 MURANO'S THAT HAVE BRAKE MODULES AND ECU'S RECALLED. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM USE PENDING REPLACEMENTS OF THE SAME COMPONENTS RECALLED ON THE PRIOR YEAR MURANO'S. THE COST OF THE REPAIRS IS IN EXCESS OF $2000 AND SHOULD BE AT THE EXPENSE OF NISSAN FOR INSTALLING FAULTY COMPONENTS. THIS FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM CAN BE FATAL IF NOT ADDRESSED, ALL MURANO'S WITH FAULTY BRAKE COMPONENTS NEED TO BE RECALLED BEFORE IT COSTS THE LIVES OF INNOCENT PARTIES. THE EXPENSE OF THE REPAIR OUT OF POCKET MAY DISCOURAGE SOME OWNERS FROM TAKING APPROPRIATE MEASURES, INCREASING THE RISK. TROUBLE SHOOTING OTHER COMPONENTS TO AVOID THE COSTLY PARTS REQUIRED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM IS A BURDENSOME EXPENSE FOR THE OWNERS AND INCREASES THE SAFETY HAZARDS OF MURANO'S ON THE ROAD.
REAR SUBFRAME RUSTED THROUGH AND BROKE IN HALF WHILE DRIVING. CAUSING SEVERE PULL TO THE LEFT AND ERRATIC HANDLING DURING BRAKING.
2010 NISSAN MURANO, (PURCH 11/30/2009) I HAVE A PASSENGER AIR BAG SAFETY CONCERN! (CASE # 37896824) THE RED AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS FLASHING! (WHILE DRIVING AT ALL SPEEDS AND WHILE IDLING) & THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT (YELLOW), REMAINS ON - INDICATES FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF! TOOK MURANO TO NISSAN SERVICE CENTER, TECH DID DIAGNOSTIC TEST - GOT A CODE B1018 OCS IS MALFUNCTIONING. TECH CLEARED CODE, TO TURN OFF THE RED FLASHING AIRBAG LIGHT & SAID IF RED LIGHT STARTS FLASHING AGAIN, COME BACK TO SERVICE DEPT. 1ST STEP TO FIX WOULD BE REPLACE FRONT PSSNGR SEAT ACU ASSEMBLY. (VERBALLY WAS TOLD THEY MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION). RED LIGHT FLASHING AGAIN THE NEXT DAY, DROVE IT FOR 2 WEEKS TO SEE IF THAT WOULD RECALIBRATE RED FLASHING LIGHT, WAS STILL FLASHING AFTER 2 WKS, RETURNED TO NISSAN SERVICE DEPT ON 10/29/19. SAID NEED TO REPLACE THE FRONT PASSENGER CUSHION, (THE OCS FOR AIR BAG IS IN CUSHION) & POSSIBLY AN ACU! I SEE, MURANO HAS HAD SEVERAL PASSENGER AIR BAG RECALLS: THE 2009 MURANO: RECALL # 08V521000 - SAFETY ISSUE - THE OCS CONTROL UNIT LOCATED IN FONT PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION, COULD CAUSE INTERRUPTION OF SIGNAL BETWEEN OCS & ACU - SUPPRESSED AIR BAG COULD FAIL TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE PROTECTION IN A CRASH. RECALL # 08V066000 - SAFETY ISSUE - DUE TO INCORRECT SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING- THE ACU MAY CAUSE PASSENGER AIR BAG TO NOT OPERATE AS DESIGNED IF BATTERY BECOMES SIGNIFICANTLY DISCHARGED - RESULTING IN PASSENGER AIR BAG NOT TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED. 2013 - 2015 MURANO RECALL - SAFETY ISSUE - FRONT PSSNGR OCS COMPONENT MAY INCORRECTLY CLASSIFY ADULT AS A CHILD OR THAT SEAT IS EMPTY DESPITE OCCUPIED - FRONT PSSNGR AIR BAG MAY BE TURNED OFF & NOT DEPLOY IN A CRASH! * I SEE A LOT OF SIMILARITIES IN THE PAST RECALL DESCRIPTIONS WITH WHAT IS OCCURRING TO MY 2010 NISSAN MURANO PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN INTO A FEW CAR ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL OF A SUDDEN GOES SOFT AND I HAVE TO PEDAL IT TO THE FLOOR. EACH TIME I'VE HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER TO AVOID THE ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT WASN'T ENOUGH TO STOP IN TIME. I CAN SEE THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE AS MANY OTHER HAVE REPORTED THE SAME PROBLEM FOR THIS VEHICLE AND YEAR. NISSAN NEEDS TO GET IT TOGETHER AND FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP AS LIVES ARE AT RISK

K FRAME BROKE RUSTED OUT
BRAKE PEDAL IS SOFT, MECHANIC SAY ITS ABS ACTUATOR,NISSAN PART NO.: 47660-1SW0C, ITS SAME PROBLEM, THAT HAVE MURANO 2009 AND RECALL THEM, BUT NOT RECALL 2010
MY CAR STALLED ON ME WHEN IN MOTION AND WONT GO PAST 7MPH, AND EVENTUALLY LOSE POWER AND DRAIN MY BATTERY. I TOOK IT FOR REPAIR BOUGHT A NEW ALTERNATOR,REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR IT STILL DRAIN AND DAMAGE THE BATTERY. I HAVE TO GO BUY ANOTHER BATTERY, A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND IN NO TIME DRAINED THE BATTERY AGAIN. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING REGARDLESS IF ANYTHING IS TURNED ON OR NOT.

HIT A BUMP WHILE BRAKING AND ABS KICKED OFF, THEN THE BRAKES WENT TO THE FLOOR. TRIED TO PUMP BRAKES BUT BRAKES ARE STILL SOFT AND ON THE FLOOR. TURNED OFF IGNITION AND PUMPED BRAKES TO SEE IF THAT WOULD RESET, BUT BRAKES ARE NOT RETURNING BACK TO NORMAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. ALSO, THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED WHILE THE SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 36524907. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.
THIS COMPLAINT IS TO REPORT THE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY JULY 25 2019 WITH 2010 NISSAN MURANO. TRAVELING AT 45 MILES PER HOUR TRAFFIC WAS STOPPED SUDDENLY IN FRONT OF ME. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES, WHICH THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR BUT BARELY ENGAGED. I HAD TO PULL ONTO THE SHOULDER TO AVOID A COLLISION. THIS ISSUE IS PERSISTENT, EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS AND MASTER CYLINDER. NHTSA PLEASE HELP WITH THIS DEFECT WITH THE 2010 MURANO. THE 2009 HAS A RECALL, SO SHOULD THE 2010.
EXPERIENCED SOFT BRAKE PEDALS AFTER THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEMS ACTIVATED FROM HITTING POTHOLES, MANHOLES OR ROUGH ROAD SURFACES. I WAS ABOUT THREE CAR-LENGTHS FROM THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME ON ROUTE 22 (MAJOR HIGHWAY), THAT WAS STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT; THEREFORE, PUT ON MY BRAKES TO STOP. HOWEVER, WHEN I PUT ON MY BRAKES, MY BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR FOR THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP. THIS NOW HAPPENS ON A CONTINUAL BASIS, WHEREBY I HAVE TO ALLOW MORE ROOM BETWEEN VEHICLES TO ALLOW STOPPAGE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE 2009 MODEL YEAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM.
EXTENDED BRAKING DISTANCE. AFTER ABS DEPLOYMENT PEDAL TRAVELLED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND BRAKING COMPROMISED. SAME ISSUE AS 2009 MURANO VOLUNTARY RECALL BY NISSAN. MASTER CYLINDER HAS BEEN REPLACED ON THIS VEHICLE TWICE.
VEHICLE LOSES POWER, INCONSISTENTLY, WHEN BEGINNING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOPPED POSITION, SUCH AS AT A RED LIGHT, LEADING TO NEAR-REAREND COLLISION, ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING DURING THESE OCCASIONS, AND AFTER PUMPING THE ACCELERATOR IT "KICKS BACK INTO FOWARD GEAR. NOW I AM GETTING CODE P1778 (WAS NOT GETTING THIS CODE FOR A LONG TIME WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MANIFESTING THIS LOSS OF POWER).
JUST BOUGHT 2010 NISSAN MURANO FROM INDIVIDUAL. AFTER SITTING COUPLE DAYS DOESN'T CRANK. STARTS IMMEDIATELY UPON HOOKING JUMPER CABLES. BATTERY CHECKED OUT GOOD. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?
I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL NORMALLY AND FELT THE BRAKING ACTION START, AGAIN NORMALLY, BUT WHEN I APPLIED MORE PRESSURE, THE PEDAL WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE BRAKES STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC INDICATED I NEED NEW BRAKE PADS AND MASTER CYLINDER. AFTER THE REPAIRS THE BRAKES STILL DID NOT WORK. THEY FOUND A PROBLEM WITH THE 2009 MURANOS BUT WILL DO NOTHING FOR THE 2010 WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY SAID TOO BAD. CASE NUMBER 36007466
BRAKES ARE SOFT AND DO NOT ENGAGE PROPERLY. BRAKE TRAVEL TIME IS LONGER THAN PREVIOUSLY, CREATING GREATER RISK OF AN ACCIDENT.
VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING ON THE INTERSTATE AFTER STEPPER MOTOR FAILED IN THE TRANSMISSION. RAN AT 4000 RPM BEFORE NOT ACCELERATING.
THE FIRST TIME MY BRAKES WENT OUT I ALMOST WENT TO THE FRONT OF A BUILDING. I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC AND THEY DROVE MY CAR AND SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. A FEW WEEKS LATER MY BRAKES WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE MECHANIC AND THEY DECIDED THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A FEW WEEKS LATER I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AGAIN & IT WOULD NOT STOP. THE BRAKES WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE MECHANIC AND THEY CHANGED OUT THE NEW MASTER CYLINDER WITH A ANOTHER NISSAN MASTER CYLINDER. ALL WAS FINE. A FEW WEEKS LATER AND MY BRAKES STOPPED WORKING AGAIN.
WITHOUT WARNING, WHILE IN MOTION THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. AFTER ANALYSIS, THE MECHANIC THOUGHT THAT IT MIGHT BE THE MASTER CYLINDER. IT WAS NOT, AND HE INDICATED THAT IT WAS THE ABS ACTUATOR OR AN ABS BRAKING ISSUE. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO BRAKE RECALLS AND THAT ANY SERVICE OR INVESTIGATION WOULD BE AT MY EXPENSE. THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 71,600 MILES ON IT AND THE BRAKING SYSTEM CERTAINLY SHOULD NOT BE COMPROMISED AT THIS POINT. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, THAT HAS BEEN HAUNTING NISSAN IN THE PAST, IS MY OPINION. I FEEL THAT NISSAN NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF SERIOUSNESS OF THIS SAFETY.
WHILE DRIVING GOING UP HILL NO LIGHTS CAME ON NO WARNING CAR DIDNT WANT TO PULL.HAD TO ROLL BACK ON HILL WITH KIDS IN CAR PRAYING NOT TO GET HIT.
2010 NISSAN MURANO, IN MAY I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH IN TOWN DRIVING AS I APPROACHED A STREET LIGHT I APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE PEDAL WAS SOFT AND WENT TO THE FLOOR. STANDING HARD ON THE BREAKS I WAS ABLE TO STOP, NARROWLY AVOIDING A REAR END COLLISION. BRAKE FLUID WAS AT A SAFE LEVEL. CHANGED BRAKE PADS. I STILL HAVE SOFT BRAKE PEDAL. I HAVE TO DRIVE EXTRA CAREFUL AND ENSURE I GIVE MYSELF FOUR TIMES NORMAL STOPPING DISTANCE. I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING TO DETERMINE POSSIBLE CAUSE. I SEE MANY ISSUES THAT NISSAN MURANOS HAVE HAD WITH BRAKE ISSUES. BRAKES ARE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE JEOPARDIZING PUBLIC SAFETY. RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT THE NHTSA DEMAND AN INSPECTION AND CORRECTION RECALL FOR THIS KNOWN, WIDESPREAD ISSUE.
TOOK SUV TO DEALERSHIP FOR OIL CHANGE - TOLD I COULD NOT DRIVE CAR BECAUSE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS GOING TO FAIL AND SEALS WERE LEAKING. SUV ONLY SERVICED AT DEALER AND ONLY HAS 64,535 MILES. NISSAN WILL REPLACE TRANSMISSION, BUT SAID I MUST PAY $4,000 FOR SEALS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED. RESEARCHED ON WEB AND SEE THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURES WITH NISSAN. SUV SHOWED NO SYMPTOMS AND WAS DRIVING FINE - DEALER SAID IT WOULD FAIL WITHOUT MUCH WARNING RESULTING IN LOSS OF ACCELERATION AND WOULD NOT LET ME DRIVE SUV. I HAD TO RENT CAR AND APPROVE WORK ON SUV.
'TAKATA RECALL' WHEN TRYING TO STOP ON ROADS THAT ARE HIGHWAY OR CITY AND IT IS RAINING, SNOWING, OR I HIT A POT HOLE AND THE ABS SYSTEM TURNS ON THE BRAKES STOP WORKING AND THE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR.
TAKATA RECALL: SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE WILL NOT STAY UP OR DOWN IN POSITION
THE ABS BRAKE WARNING LIGHT WENT ON 2 DAYS AGO. THE BRAKES SEEMED TO WORK FINE FOR STOPPING, BUT I DID FEEL SOME RESISTANCE WITH ACCELERATION. MY VEHICLE HAS 77,000 MILES. DROPPED IT OFF WITH THE DEALER TODAY. THEY JUST PHONED STATING THAT THE BRAKE ACTUATOR MOTOR FAILED TO THE TUNE OF $3400 AND IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. AFTER A LITTLE ONLINE INVESTIGATION, QUICKLY DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM NISSAN HAD IN THE 2009 MURANO FOR WHICH THEY DID A VOLUNTARY RECALL. THE REP AT ORANGE COAST NISSAN SAID SHE PHONED NISSAN CORPORATE TO SEE IF THEY WOULD HELP AND SHE SAID THEY REFUSED. AT THE VERY LEAST, THEY SHOULD PROVIDE THE PART FOR FREE.
I WAS PULLING IN TO MY PARKING SPACE AT WORK (IN MOTION) WHEN I PRESSED THE BRAKE, BUT IT WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP. I TRIED THE BRAKE AGAIN, SAME THING. I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER AWAY FROM POLES AND OTHER CARS, SO NOTHING WAS DAMAGED. I HAD IT TOWED TO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP WHERE THEY FOUND THE BRAKES WERE FINE. FLUKE? NO. THOUSANDS OF SIMILAR ISSUES HAVE BEEN REPORTED, BUT NOTHING'S BEING DONE. THIS HAPPENED WITH A 2010 NISSAN MURANO.

IN OCTOBER 2018, DRIVING IN A MODERATE RAIN SHOWER, I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL NORMALLY AND FELT THE BRAKING ACTION START, AGAIN NORMALLY, BUT WHEN I APPLIED MORE PRESSURE, THE PEDAL WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE BRAKES STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUED UNTIL I ARRIVED HOME. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A SERVICE FACILITY A FEW DAYS LATER, THE BRAKES WERE WORKING NORMALLY NOW. THE MECHANIC INDICATED I NEED NEW BRAKE PADS ON THE REAR WHEELS (THE FRONT BRAKES HAD BEEN REWORKED A YEAR PRIOR). AFTER THE REPAIRS THE BRAKES WORKED NORMALLY FOR A FEW WEEKS THEN STARTED GETTING SOFT AGAIN, ESPECIALLY DURING RAIN; THIS CONTINUED FOR 2 MONTHS. IN JANUARY, 2019 I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALER TO HAVE THEM TROUBLESHOOT THE ISSUE. THEY FOUND A PROBLEM WITH THE PREVIOUS REAR WHEEL BRAKE REPAIR. I HAD NISSAN REPAIR THE REAR BRAKES AND BLEED THE SYSTEM. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD FOR 3 WEEKS THEN WHILE MAKING A TURN THE FRONT WHEELS SLIPPED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE PUSHED TO THE FLOOR TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I LATER TESTED THE BRAKES (IN A SAFE LOCATION) BY "SLAMMING" ON THE BRAKES WHILE MOVING 30 MPH. THE BRAKES DID HOLD BUT MY FOOT FELT LIKE IT WAS ON THE FLOOR. THE SOFTNESS LASTED 2 DAYS BUT SEEMED TO GET BETTER WHEN I PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE THE ENGINE WAS OFF. THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED AS OF THIS DATE. I AM VERY CONCERNED BUT HOW DO YOU FIX AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITHOUT THROWING MONEY AT IT? THE BRAKE PROBLEM HAS ONLY OCCURRED ON CITY STREETS. THE 2010 ONLY HAS 32K MILES ON IT.
BRAKES WENT TO THE FLOOR LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE. WENT ON LAWN TO AVOID HITTING A PEDESTRIAN. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN THE PAST FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM THAT RANDOMLY APPEARS. 2009 HAD A VOL RECALL AND THE AFFECTED PARTS INVOLVED ARE IN THIS MODEL YEAR AS WELL. THE DATE CODES SHOW IT TO BE A 2009 PART. NISSAN WOULD NOT ASSIST US. BRAKE RETURNED TO NORMAL OPERATION. VEHICLE HAS UNDER 60K MILES ON IT. OVER $3000.00 FOR REPAIR
THE SEATBELT ON THE SECOND ROW SEATING CENTER HAS STOPPED WORKING IT WORKED FOR A LITTLE WHILE THEN WE NOTICED IT WAS STARTING TO LOCK UP NOW IT DOES NOT BUCKLE AT ALL THEY CLEANED IT WE HAVE CHECKED FOR PENNIES OR ANY DEBRIS BUT IT WILL NOT GRAB THE OTHER PART OF THE SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE'S ALWAYS IS IN PARK MODE BEFORE WE LEAVE AND BUCKLE UP.

THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
MY 2010 MURANO SUDDENLY DEVELOPED A LOOSE DRIVER'S INTERIOR SUN VISOR THAT HAS BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. IT WILL NOT STAY IN THE "UP" POSITION AND WILL DROP DOWN TO THE POINT WHERE IT BLOCKS MY VIEW OUT THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING. FROM DISCUSSIONS AT VARIOUS NISSAN ONLINE SITES, I HAVE FOUND THAT MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM FOR ONE OR BOTH VISORS. SOMETHING INSIDE THE VISOR ITSELF BREAKS AND THE VISOR WILL NO LONGER STAY WHERE ONE SETS IT. I HAVE HAD MINE SUDDENLY FALL DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING OR ESPECIALLY GOING OVER A BUMP, ROAD VIBRATIONS OR SMALL POTHOLE ETC. AND IT WILL NOT STAY UP, SO SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING MY VIEW OF THE ROAD AND TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF ME IS BLOCKED. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
FOR THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS THE CAR HAS HAD VERY SOFT BRAKES, DEPRESSING TO THE FLOOR BEFORE WEAKLY BRAKING. IT SEEMED TO COME ON ABRUPTLY WITH NO CLEAR PRECIPITANT. PUMPING THE BRAKES TEMPORARILY IMPROVES THE ISSUE, BUT ONLY FOR A NUMBER OF SECONDS. THE ISSUE HAS NOT PREVENTED US FROM DRIVING THE CAR, BUT EXTRA CARE HAS BEEN NEEDED IN MAINTAINING DISTANCE FROM THE VEHICLE IN FRONT AND WE KNOW IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. TODAY, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC WHO SAYS THE ISSUE SEEMS TO BE WITH THE ABS UNIT, BUT REQUESTED WE GET A SECOND OPINION DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF REPLACEMENT ($2500). I DID SOME INVESTIGATING AND SEE THAT YOUR ADMINISTRATION CONDUCTED AN INVESTIGATION ON 2009 MURANO'S FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. ON THIS COMPLAINT DATABASE THERE ARE OVER 20 REPORTS OF THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH 2010 MODELS, NOT TO MENTION THE MULTITUDE OF ISSUES REPORTED ELSEWHERE; HOWEVER, THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL OR INVESTIGATION. THE ABS UNIT ITSELF, WHEN SHOPPING FOR A REPLACEMENT, IS APPARENTLY THE SAME AS THAT IN THE 2009. WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN A RECALL ON THE 2010? ARE WE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE IN AN ACCIDENT?
THE VDC, BRAKE, TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON ON THE DASH. I HAD THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED BY NISSAN AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL AND THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THERE CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT AND THEY SAID THEY ARE UNABLE TO HELP ME WITH THE PROBLEM. NISSAN RELEASED THE CAR TO ME KNOWING IT IS UNSAFE. THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $3000.00 TO REPAIR THE CAR. IN 2009,2011,2014-2017 THE SAME PART AND PROBLEM OCCURRED ON THESE CARS AS WELL. WHY IS 2010 NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY? AND LOOKING FOR SOME HELP WITH THE SITUATION.

TRUCK ACCELERATES SLOWLY WHEN TAKING OFF FROM STATIONARY POINT. IT'S A IF IT'S NOT GETTING FUEL OR THE GEARS AREN'T SHIFTING. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW.
THE 2010 NISSAN MURANO IS DIEING IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT HAS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS, AND HIGHWAYS WITHOUT WARNING. REPLACED THE BATTERY ALREADY WITH NO IMPROVEMENT.
(TPMS) TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM. I PURCHASED A 2010 NISSAN MURANO FROM A PRIVATE PARTY LIVING IN ILLINOIS IN APRIL 2018. AT SOME TIME IN NOVEMBER THE TIRE PRESSURE LAMP HAD LIT. I HAVE WEEKLY AIRED THE TIRES AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT SERVICE STATIONS TRYING TO GET THE LAMP ON THE DASH TO GO OUT. TO THIS DAY THE LAMP REMAINS ON AND I HAVE NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF.
THE VEHICLE BRAKING SYSTEM IS FAILING DURING SUDDEN OR QUICK STOPS. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC AND THEY FOUND NO ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE THEY COULD OBSERVE AT THE TIME. THIS WAS ON 8/23/18. THE BRAKES NEED TO BE PUSHED TO THE FLOOR IN ORDER TO SLOW THE VEHICLE, IF AT ALL. THIS HAS HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY, 11/4/18. THE VEHICLE DID NOT WANT TO STOP AND TOOK MULTIPLE PUMPS OF THE BRAKES.
FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT IS BLINKING FOR AIRBAG NOT ON.
