TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED AND WOULD NOT REGISTER THE ACCURATE AMOUNT OF FUEL THAT WAS ACTUALLY IN THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. THE FUEL TANK WOULD READ FULL WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY EMPTY OR LOW ON FUEL. THE FAILURE BEGAN TWO YEARS AGO. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 142,034. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE AND THE ODOMETER DISPLAYED INCORRECT READINGS. THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WAS REPLACED AT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THE CONTACT NOTICED NO FAILURES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. SHE FELT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A SAFETY ISSUE AND WANTED TO REPORT THAT THE OTHER VEHICLES WERE NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, STORAGE AUXILIARY TANK) ALSO EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,014. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,440.
I HAVE A 2005 PATHFINDER LE. THE FUEL GAUGE IS SHOWING IN-ACCURATE READING EVEN IF THERE IS NO GAS IN THE TANK IT STILL READS WITH A QUARTER OF THE TANK WHICH COULD LEAD TO THE VEHICLE RUNNING OUT OF GAS AND STALLING THE VEHICLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AS I USE THIS VEHICLE ON LONG TRIPS WITH MY FAMILY. THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN NTB07-069B AUGUST 12, 2009 FOR PATHFINDERS INCLUDING THIS MODEL BUT THE RECALL DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 2005 MODEL WHICH IS ODD THAT THEY WILL BYPASS THE '05 AND START THE RECALL FROM MODEL '06 TILL 08, WHERE, THERE WERE A LOT OF FUEL GAUGE COMPLAINTS. THIS FAILURE HAS BEEN HAPPENING EVERY FILL UP. AND I HAVE BEEN FILLING UP EVERY 1/2 A TANK. *DT
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND COOLANT MIXED TOGETHER WHICH CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO MALFUNCTION AND JUMP GEARS WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH. AT TIMES THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER AND NOTICED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND COOLANT MIXING TOGETHER. THEY STATED THE TRANSMISSION AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000. UPDATED 11/15/10
MANY NISSAN VEHICLES HAVE FAILED FUEL SENSOR UNITS. NISSAN REFUSES TO REPLACE FREE OF CHARGE OR TO ISSUE A RECALL. IT IS IS SAFETY HAZARD NOT TO KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN YOUR VEHICLE. ESPECIALLY WHEN MORE THAN ONE DRIVER HAVE ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE. BY GOOGLING THE PROBLEM I FOUND OUT THAT MANY NISSAN OWNERS HAVE THIS FUEL SENSOR BUG. SEVERAL NISSAN MODELS ARE EFFECTED. *TR
BEGAN AROUND 45,000 MILES. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT DISPLAYS, WITH AN INACCURATE AND ERRATIC FUEL GAUGE READING. VEHICLE SHOWS EMPTY WITH WARNING LIGHT WHILE DRIVING. NO WAY TO TELL HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE VEHICLE AT TIMES AND CONSIDER IT A SAFETY ISSUE. IT IS A KNOWN FAILURE OF THE 'FUEL SENDING UNIT' WITH MANY NISSANS, DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE, NISSAN VOLUNTARILY RECALLED SOME 2006 AND 2008 NISSAN PATHS FOR THE FUEL GAUGE/SENDING UNITS BUT NOT 2005! IT IS THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I TRAVEL WITH MY YOUNG DAUGHTER AND I HAD TO REPAIR AT MY EXPENSE SO THAT I WOULDN'T RUN OUT OF GAS. A YOUNG MOTHER OUT OF GAS AND STRANDED WITH HER YOUNG CHILD ---HOW UNSAFE CAN YOU GET? 2005S SHOULD BE REPAIRED AT THEIR EXPENSE. *TR
NISSAN PATHFINDER 2005 SE ERROR CODE P0463 FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND FAULTY GAS GAUGE, REPLACEMENT COST $400+. *TR
WE BOUGHT OUR 2005 PATHFINDER USED AND UPON GETTING A HALF OF TANK OF GAS OUR GAS METER GOES STRAIGHT TO EMPTY IF IT'S LEFT IDLING FOR A SHORT PERIOD. IT WON'T RETURN TO FULL UNLESS YOU FILL THE TANK BACK UP. IT USED TO RETURN TO THE CORRECT POSITION WHEN WE'D SHUT THE CAR OFF THEN TURN IT BACK ON BUT IT'S NO LONGER DOING THAT UNLESS WE FILL THE TANK BACK UP. IT SEEMS THIS IS A COMMON COMPLAIN ON THIS MODEL AND SEEMS KIND OF DANGEROUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 40 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE BECAME HESITANT TO THE CONTACTS ATTEMPTS TO ACCELERATE. SECONDS LATER, ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE THE BODY ELECTRICAL WIRES WERE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
ON A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER THE FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY WITH ONLY 49,000 MILES ON VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS ALSO LESS THAN 5 YRS OLD. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON AT SAME TIME AND REMAINS ON EVEN AFTER DEALER SERVICING FOR AN UNRELATED PROBLEM. AFTER CONTACTING NISSAN VIA EMAIL TWICE, AND ONCE OVER THE PHONE, NISSAN WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT (ACCORDING TO INTERNET REPORTS) HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS, OF PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME IDENTICAL PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE FORCED TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES FOR THIS PROBLEM. THIS POSES A SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO DRIVERS RUNNING OUT OF GAS, THUS WALKING ON FREEWAYS; WITH THEIR VEHICLES EITHER BLOCKING TRAFFIC OR PARKED ON THE FREEWAY. PLEASE HELP! NISSAN IS NEGLIGENT! *TR
BEGINNING ON OR ABOUT THE DATE REFERENCED, THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION BY SHOWING INCORRECT FUEL LEVEL AND "DISTANCE TO EMPTY" READINGS. FOR INSTANCE, THE GAUGE WILL READ EMPTY WHEN THE FUEL TANK HAS JUST BEEN FILLED. IT WILL ALSO READ FULL WHEN THE TANK IS NEARLY EMPTY. THIS PROBLEM HAS PERSISTED CONSTANTLY TO THE PRESENT TIME. *DT THIS MALFUNCTION ALSO CAUSES THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. THE CODE ASSOCIATED WITH THE SES LIGHT INDICATES A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR. THIS MALFUNCTION CONSTITUTES A SAFETY RELATED DEFECT WHICH COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL IN TRAFFIC, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. IN THAT REGARD, THIS DEFECT IS SIMILAR TO THE ONE ADDRESSED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 10V-075 AND SHOULD RESULT IN A PRODUCT RECALL.
GAS GAUGE FAILURE ON 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER--GAS GAUGE STOPS WORKING, OR WORKS ERRATICALLY. NISSAN HAS DONE A RECALL FOR 2006-2008 VEHICLES, BUT THEY HAVE NOT INCLUDED 2005 VEHICLES, WHICH HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. *TR
NISSAN HAS A WELL KNOWN FUEL GAUGE ISSUE DOES WHICH SHOWS THE TANK AS EMPTY EVEN WITH A FULL TANK. MY WIFE HAS TWICE RUN OUT OF GAS, ONCE IN A MAJOR INTERSECTION, CALLED ME CRYING. THANKFULLY A GOOD SAMARITAN CAME OVER AND PUSHED HER OUT OF INTERSECTION. MY 16 YR. DAUGHTER IS NOW DRIVING THIS CAR AND USES FREEWAY DAILY, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN CAR STOPS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND GOD FORBID IS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS KNOWN ISSUE. A 16 YEAR OLD GIRL SHOULD NOT BE SUBJECTED TO THIS. IS NISSAN GOING TO ADMIT RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED IN THIS SCENARIO? MY ISSUE IS THAT THIS IS NOW BEING RECOGNIZED BY NISSAN AND A RECALL IS BEING INITIATED. MANY 2005 MODELS EXCEPT THE PATHFINDER ARE GOING TO BE FIXED FREE. THEY ARE ONLY GOING TO FIX FROM 2006+ ON THE PATHFINDER. THERE ARE NUMEROUS BLOGS ON THE INTERNET THAT ILLUSTRATE THE 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS EXACT PROBLEM. ARE WE SUPPOSE TO SPEND $600 TO FIX WHAT NISSAN ACKNOWLEDGES AS AN ISSUE AND IS FIXING ON MOST OF THEIR OTHER MODELS EXCEPT THE 2005 PATHFINDER. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. OUR PATHFINDER IS THE 3RD NISSAN WE HAVE OWNED. PREVIOUS MODELS WERE XTERRA AND TITAN TRUCK. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER SE-OR AND THE RADIATOR FLUID INTO THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR AND HAVE BOTH SYSTEMS FLUSHED 2X EACH. THE RPMS WERE HESTATING WHEN EXCELLING OVER 45MPH. THE NISSAN DEALER TRIED RIPPING ME OFF SAYING I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION-SO I WENT TO A REPUTABLE GARAGE. *TR

THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY, AND THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED THE FUEL LEVEL WAS 'FULL'. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ERRATIC. THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE MALFUNCTION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
RADIATOR LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION CAUSING FAILURE WHEN MY FAMILY WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. ALTHOUGH NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THIS CASE, NISSAN REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH THE PATHFINDER AND SOMEONE COULD BE HURT IN THE FUTURE. *TR
2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER MY RADIATOR LEAKS FLUID INTO THE TRANNY COOLING LINES. ITS BEEN TO NISSAN 2-3 TIMES. FINALLY THERE PUTTING IN A NEW TRANNY AND RADIATOR. FORTUNATELY ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. *TR

WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 55 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR READING FUEL LEVELS AT EMPTY AFTER SHE HAD FILLED THE FUEL TANK MOMENTS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.

VEHICLE ABS SYSTEM ELECTRONIC SENSOR TOLD THE CAR THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED CAUSING THE CAR TO SUDDENLY SLOW DOWN, VIBRATE, OVERHEAT. EVENTUALLY IT RUINED MY ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM. NISSAN STATED THE PRESSURE SENSOR AND ACTUATOR ROD FELL OUT OF RANGE. LUCKILY I WAS NOT HIT FROM BEHIND ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS OCCURRED. NOT SURE HOW THIS IMPORTANT COMPONENT CAN MALFUNCTION TO THE LEVEL OF THINKING SOMEONE IS SLAMMING DOWN ON THE BRAKES. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IMMEDIATELY, THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR BEGAN READING SEVERAL VARIOUS INACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FUEL SENSOR AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
MY GAS GAUGE WAS NOT FUNCTIONING (INDICATED EMPTY) AFTER I FILLED THE TANK AND THEN IT WOULD SEEM TO START WORKING AGAIN AFTER DRIVING FOR A FEW DAYS. IT HAPPENS EACH TIME I FILL THE TANK. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS ONCE EVEN THOUGH THE INDICATOR SAID I HAD A HALF TANK. I TOOK IT TO SOUTHERN STATES NISSAN IN RALEIGH AND THEY SAID THE FIX WOULD COST OVER $400. I DID NOT GET IT FIXED SO I JUST HOPE IT WILL HAVE GAS EVEN THOUGH THE TANK WILL READ HALF. *TR
THE FUEL SENSOR ON MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER HAS FAILED. THE CAR REGISTERS THE FUEL TANK IS EMPTY WHEN THERE IS LESS THAN 1/2 TANK. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON APPROXIMATELY 12 MONTHS AGO REGARDING THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR (WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE FUEL PUMP AND ENCLOSED INSIDE THE GAS TANK). NISSAN HAS RECALLED 2006 AND NEWER MODELS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM BUT NOT THE 2005 MODELS. THIS FAILURE CAUSES ERRATIC READINGS IN THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE ON A REGULAR BASIS AND CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO CEASE OPERATION EVEN THOUGH THE GAUGE SHOWS FUEL AVAILABILITY. UNFORTUNATELY MY VEHICLE WILL FAIL ITS UPCOMING STATE MANDATED EMISSION INSPECTION EVEN THOUGH IT HAS NOT EMISSION ISSUE OR FUEL VAPOR LEAK. NISSAN WANTS $600+ TO REPAIR THIS DEFECT. UPON VIEWING NATIONAL WEBSITES IT APPEARS THIS IS A VERY COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THE 2005 NISSAN MODELS. *TR

NOTICED ROUGH SHIFTS IN TRANSMISSION, EVENTUALLY FAILED TO ENGAGE 5TH GEAR. TOOK TO DEALER, TRANSMISSION LINES INSIDE RADIATOR HAD RUPTURED. REPLACED TRANSMISSION, RADIATOR AND LINES AT A COST OF OVER $8000 AND 4 WEEKS TIME. THIS OCCURRED AT 67K MILES. AT 87K MILES, RADIATOR FLUID IS MILKY AND SHOWS SYMPTOMS OF ANOTHER RUPTURE OF COOLANT LINES INSIDE TRANSMISSION. DEALER AND NISSAN USA DO NOT RECOGNIZE THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE OR INHERENT DEFECT IN ENGINEERING. HOWEVER, A SIMPLE SEARCH WILL SHOW AN EXTREMELY LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WITH SIMILAR ISSUES CAUSED BY FAULTY COOLING LINES IN THE RADIATOR RUPTURING CAUSING TRANSMISSION ABRUPT BEHAVIOR AND THE DANGER FOR LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL DUE TO THE FAILURE. *TR
TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT ON ME WHILE TRAVELING WITH FAMILY ON HIGHWAY. THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO FAULTY PARTS NISSAN HAS PLACED ON THE PATHFINDER. MY FINDING TO THE PROBLEMS NOT ONLY INCLUDED TRANSMISSIONS PROBLEMS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT ALSO OTHER DEFECTS IN WHICH THEY ARE UNWILLING TO PAY FOR. I HOPE IT DOESN'T TAKE FOR SOMEONE TO DIE FOR THEM TO GET THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. AMERICANS ARE IN DANGER DUE TO THIS COMPANY AND IT'S CARS! *TR
MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER'S GAS GAUGE DISPLAY SUDDENLY DROPPED TO SHOW 0 MILES ON DISTANCE TO EMPTY WHILE THE GAUGE SHOWED 1/4 OF A TANK. THE DISPLAY THEN WENT TO A FLAT LINE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AT THE INTAKE THE DEALER SERVICE REP GAVE NO INDICATION THAT THEY HAVE SEEN SUCH BEFORE AND THE SECOND SERVICE REP SAID HE HAS SEEN IT ONCE OR TWICE. HE STATED THE REPAIR WOULD BE NEAR $500. AFTER I BALKED ABOUT SUCH HE "MADE SOME CALLS" AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT DOWN TO A LITTLE OVER $300. WHILE LOOKING ON LINE TODAY, I FOUND THAT THERE ARE OVER 36 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON THIS REPORTING AGENCY THROUGHOUT ALL THE FUEL SYSTEM SUB CATEGORIES. THERE IS ALSO A TECHNICAL BULLETIN FROM NISSAN NTB07-069A THAT ADDRESSING SUCH IN PATHFINDERS, FRONTIERS, AND EXTERRA MODELS BUILT PRIOR TO SEPTEMBER 2007. DIAGNOSTIC CODES 0461,0462,0463. WITH THIS BEING THE 37TH COMPLAINT, SHOULD THIS NOT BE INVESTIGATED FURTHER? *TR
THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON FUEL LEVEL SENSORS FOR A FEW OF THE NISSAN CARS AND TRUCKS. UNFORTUNATELY MY 2005 PATHFINDER IS NOT COVERED... MY SES LIGHT IS ON AND I CAN'T PASS THE EMISSIONS TEST TO GET MY TAGS RENEWED. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE WITH NISSAN ON THIS PARTICULAR PART. I CONSTANTLY SHOW EMPTY AND HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS ON OCCASION. I JUST PAID 125 DOLLARS FOR NISSAN TO TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR AND THAT IT WOULD COST 700 TO FIX IT. I WOULDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM FIXING IT, IF THERE WASN'T THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IT IS A PROBLEM AND NISSAN NEEDS TO STAND UP AND MAKE IT RIGHT. *TR

THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION AT THIS TIME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. DRIVING DOWN 4 LANE HIGHWAY AND STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT IN A SMALL TOWN. WHEN LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I TRIED TO PROCEED BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. WHEN I WOULD PRESS THE ACCELERATOR, THE RPMS WOULD GO UP BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. THERE WERE MANY VEHICLES COMING UP BEHIND ME AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND THERE I WAS WITH MY WIFE AND THREE CHILDREN STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY, UNABLE TO MOVE. I HAD TO RISK GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND RUN TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND TRY TO FLAG DOWN VEHICLES COMING AT ME AT OVER 60 MPH AND TRY TO FLAG THEM AROUND MY STRANDED VEHICLE WITH MY FAMILY INSIDE. FINALLY ABLE TO GET SOME ASSISTANCE AND GET VEHICLE PUSHED TO SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE SAME NISSAN DEALERSHIP FIVE TIMES FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM!!!!! EACH TIME THE REPAIR LASTS APPROXIMATELY 12 TO 18 THOUSAND MILES AND THEN I START HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. IN JAN.OF 2012 ,I PAID THE SAME DEALERSHIP FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION AND IN AUGUST ; I ONCE AGAIN HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. EVEN WHEN THE CONTACT FILLED THE FUEL TANK, THE GAUGE WOULD DISPLAY THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EITHER EMPTY OF HALF FULL. WE HAVE A SQUEAKING UNDERNEATH OUR VEHICLE AND IT SMELLS LIKE GAS. AFTER RESEARCHING IT ONLINE WE FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY AND THAT THERE IS NO RECALL. WE ARE WORRIED THAT OUR VEHICLE COULD BE LEAKING GAS DUE TO THE CHANGE IN THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY FROM THE 2004 TO THE 2005 MODEL. OUR GAS GAUGE READS INCORRECTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE COMES ON SO WE SUSPECT IT HAS TO DO WITH THE GASOLINE SMELL AND THE SQUEAKING. WE THINK THAT THERE MUST BE A HOLE SOMEWHERE THAT HAS OCCURRED FROM THE CONSTANT RUBBING OF THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. *TR

THERE WERE NO REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90,526.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTICS. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE FUEL TANK SENDING UNIT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED BY A TECHNICIAN TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. WOULD LIKE NISSAN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR DEFECT AND MAKE REPAIRS AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER. *TR
