AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF BEING STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL I FELT AND HEARD THE VEHICLE ENGINE REV UP, THE CAR THEN BEGAN TO JOLT FORWARD EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS STILL ON THE BRAKE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE FUEL GAUGE WAS VERY ERRATIC. EVEN IF THE GAS TANK WAS FULL, THE NEEDLE WOULD REMAIN AT 3/4 OR HALF WAY. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AND FOUND AN ERROR CODE, WHICH MEANT THAT THE FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT WAS DEFECTIVE. THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THROUGH RESEARCH, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED A VERY COMMON FAILURE WITH NISSAN VEHICLES; HOWEVER, NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS DEFECT. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND NISSAN STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 58,000. UPDATED 09/24/08. *LJ UPDATED 09/30/08. *JB
I FILLED MY TANK UP ONE DAY AND AFTER GETTING IN THE VEHICLE IT SHOWED EMPTY ON THE TANK AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I FOUND OUT IT WAS A FUEL SENDING UNIT THAT WENT BAD. I WAS AT 38,000 MILES ON THE NISSAN PATHFINDER AND THE WARRANTY WAS UP CONVENIENTLY. THE BILL FOR FIXING THIS IS OVER $400. I HAVE NOT FIXED IT YET BECAUSE I KNOW THERE IS GAS IN THERE AND IT DRIVES FINE, BUT MY WIFE GOES HAY WIRE ABOUT IT EVERY TIME SHE FILLS UP THE TANK AND IT STILL SHOWS EMPTY. I WISH NISSAN WOULD SEND A RECALL OR TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN TO GET THIS FIXED FOR FREE. I SOUNDS LIKE THERE ARE MANY PROBLEMS OF THIS SAME NATURE. *TR
FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED CAUSING FUEL GAUGE TO IMPROPERLY SHOWING CORRECT FUEL LEVELS. POSSIBLE CHANCE OF RUNNING OUT OF FUEL DUE TO INCORRECT READINGS. AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL AND CAUSE A DANGEROUS SITUATIONS ON THE ROAD OR TO OTHERS SAFETY. *TR

MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER SE WITH 22K MILES HAD THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT COME ON AND THE DTE (DISTANCE TO EMPTY) INDICATOR BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. SINCE THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY I TOOK IT TO A DEALER. AS WITH COMPLAINT NUMBERS 10200004 AND 10176618 THE PROBLEM WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. THE DEALER REPLACED THE PART AND IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. *TR
THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER FAILED. THIS IS THE UNIT THAT SENDS HOW MUCH FUEL YOU HAVE REMAINING TO THE GAUGE. BECAUSE OF THIS I RAN OUT OF GAS TWICE. THIS UNIT WAS RECALLED IN THE NEXT MODEL YEAR/SAME GENERATION. I HAD TO REPLACE THE PART AT A COST OF $372. *TR
AT 56000 MILES MY CARS COMPUTER AND FUEL GAUGE DECIDED TO MALFUNCTION. I FILLED THE CAR UP WITH GAS AND IMMEDIATELY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE FUEL GAUGE WILL NOT GO BELOW 1/2 TANK. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER IT IS A FUEL SENDING UNIT THAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND IS A $400 REPAIR. THIS CAR IS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD AND NOW I AM HAVING TO SPEND $400 SO I CAN TELL IF I HAVE GAS! UPDATED 12/31/07 *JB
THERE IS AN EXHAUST SYSTEM NOISE WHEN A PERSON SITS IN THE REAR SEAT. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO REPLACE THE FAULTY EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE EXHAUST SYSTEM HAS SHIFTED TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE CAR CAUSING THE NOISE. *TR
I BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER WITH 38,958 MILES 2 WEEKS AGO WHEN MY 'DTE' (DISTANCE TO EMPTY) INDICATOR BEGAN MESSING UP. THE SUV IS RUNNING FINE LIKE IT ALWAYS HAS. MY DTE INDICATOR SHOWED ------ AND THE GAS GAUGE SHOWED ZERO GAS AND THE LIGHT WAS ON. I KNEW I HAD AT LEAST 1/2 TANK OF GAS. AFTER FILLING UP, EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL. THURSDAY EVENING, 8/16/07, THE DTE SHOWED -------, BUT THEN CORRECTED ITSELF AND WAS FINE. ON 8/17/07, THE 'SERVICE ENGINE SOON' LIGHT CAME ON. I REPLACED THE GAS CAP, HAD THE OIL CHANGED, AND IT STILL STAYED ON. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE SUV TO AUTOZONE TO HAVE THE CODES PULLED FROM THE COMPUTER. THE CODE IS P0463: DEFINITION-FUEL SENDING UNIT CONDITION. SHE INDICATED IF THE CAR IS RUNNING FINE, WHICH IT IS, THE FUEL PUMP IS FINE, THERE COULD BE A BAD SPOT ON THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. OF COURSE, WE CANNOT JUST PURCHASE THE 'FUEL LEVEL SENSOR' WITHOUT PURCHASING THE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. THIS WILL BE A PRICEY REPAIR AT $420.00 FOR THE PART ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH NISSAN DUE TO THE NEWNESS OF THIS BODY STYLE. IN APRIL OF 2005, I CHOSE TO PURCHASE A BRAND NEW 4X4 SUV FOR DEPENDABILITY AND NO WORRIES TAKING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL AND AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES. A REPAIR OF THIS MAGNITUDE ON A LESS THAN 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE IS NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND WHEN PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. EVERY MOM PANICS WHEN THE 'SERVICE ENGINE SOON' LIGHT COMES ON, HOPING YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN MAKE IT TO WHERE YOU ARE GOING SAFELY. I FEEL THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING THIS ON ALL NEWER NISSAN PATHFINDERS. THIS IS PART OF THE GAS TANK WE ARE DEALING WITH. I DOUBT I WILL EVER PURCHASE A NISSAN AGAIN. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND NOT DUE TO OPERATOR ERROR, HOWEVER, I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THIS FIXED. *JB

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE GAVE INCORRECT READINGS AND WOULD INDICATE THAT THERE WAS FUEL IN THE FUEL TANK WHEN IT WAS EMPTY; WHEN FULL, IT WOULD INDICATE THAT THE TANK WAS EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RELATED RECALLS. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO VERIFIED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000. FILLED UP MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER (6CYL) AND NOTICED THAT THE GAUGE WAS READING "EMPTY". MINUTES LATER MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I KNOW ABOUT THE ISSUE WITH THE GAS CAP, SO I MADE SURE IT WAS INSTALLED CORRECTLY. THIS MIS-READING LASTED FOR 2 DAYS, THEN CORRECTED ITSELF. THIS HAS OCCURRED 2XS AND IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. NISSAN HAS A MORAL OBLIGATION TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, BUT FROM WANT I AM READING, THEY REFUSE TO. WHAT A SHAME. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. HE STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHEN HE PLACED THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION. AS A RESULT, IT CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO CRACK, AND CHIPPED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. HE ALSO NOTICED SMOKED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND A THIRD PARTY INVESTIGATOR TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. AS OF JULY 24, 2007, THE INVESTIGATOR HAS NOT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THREE MONTHS PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT, THE AIRBAG LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE. THE DEALER PERFORMED AN AIRBAG SENSOR TEST, AND STATED THAT THE DEFECT WAS CORRECT. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 40,000.
I HAVE HAD A CONSTANT PROBLEM WITH MY 2005 PATHFINDER. THERE IS AN ANNOYING LOUD SQUEALING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER TWICE. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A BAD BELT TENSIONER AND WAS REPLACED AT ABOUT 1500 MILES. THE SECOND TIME WAS A BAD BELT AT ABOUT 4500 MILES. I JUST HAD MY 30,000 MILE SERVICE AND THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT FINE NOW THE NOISE IS BACK LOUDER THEN EVER.*AK
MY FUEL GAUGE AND MILES UNTIL EMPTY GAUGE ARE BOTH SHOT. THEY WORK ONCE IN A WHILE, BUT MOST OF THE TIME THE DTE READS 0 AND THE GAS GAUGE IS ON E. ALSO MY SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE THIS PROBLEM STARTED AT APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES. THERE ARE 3 COMPLAINTS THE SAME AS THIS ONE AND BEING THAT MY 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, I AM FORCED TO PAY $400 TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM WHEN IT IS OBVIOUSLY HAPPENING TO OTHERS. 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER LE. PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WEIGHT SENSOR IN THE SEAT DOES NOT CONSISTENTLY DETECT THE PRESENCE OF MY WIFE WHO IS ~120 LBS. IT DOES INTERMITTENTLY DETECT HER AS WELL AS OUR 90 LBS DAUGHTER. WE CONSIDER THIS TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY DEFECT. WE HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE AND HAD THE CAR TO THE DEALER TWICE. NISSAN CORPORATE WILL DO NOTHING TO FIX THE DEFECTIVE WEIGHT SENSOR AND WILL NOT ADMIT THAT IT IS MALFUNCTIONING. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON 4/11/05. THE SEAT BELT FAILURE BEGAN ON 2/1/07 AT 32,000 MILES. WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WAS NOT LATCHED AND THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THE WARNING SEAT BELT LIGHT CAME ON, BUT THERE WAS NO WARNING SOUND TO ALERT THE DRIVER THAT THE SEAT BELT WASN'T LOCKED. ON 2/3/07, THERE WERE ADDITIONAL REPAIRS TO THE SEAT BELT SYSTEM. HOWEVER ,THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER ORDERED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE, AND WAS CURRENTLY TALKING TO NISSAN TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. ON 2/4/07, THE CONTACT ADVISED THE DEALER THAT THE HEATER VENT CONTROL MOTOR THAT ADJUSTS THE VENTS WAS CONSTANTLY ON BLOWER MODE. THE HEATER VENT CONTROL WOULD NOT CHANGE TO THE DEFROST POSITION WHEN SELECTED. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE VENT MODULATOR MOTOR ,AND THE HEATER FAILURE WAS RESOLVED. THE CONTACT WANTED THE SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM REPAIRED PRIOR TO THE WARRANTY EXPIRING. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,369.*AK CONSUMER STATES HISSING NOISE COMING FRONT RIGHT REAR DOOR EVEN WHEN RADIO IS INOPERABLE. UPDATE 4/9 *TR

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THE TERRIBLE SQUEALING/SCREECHING/CHIRPING NOISES EVIDENTLY COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF MY BRAND NEW 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED AND SUPPOSEDLY BEEN "FIXED" BY SCHAIERS NISSAN OF LONG BEACH WHO SAID IT WAS THE "BELTS" THAT NEEDED REPLACING, HOWEVER, NOT LONG AFTER THAT, THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. WE HAVE TAKEN THE SUV THREE TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, THEY HAVE KEPT IT TWICE OVERNIGHT ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. FED UP, WE EVEN ATTEMPTED TO TRADE THE SUV IN FOR ANOTHER PATHFINDER IN THE HOPES OF NOT HAVING TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE ANY LONGER. THE DEALER WAS NON-COMPLIANT AND HAD NOTHING COMPARABLE OR EVEN WORTHWHILE TO OFFER. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO SETTLE WITH DRIVING A NEW VEHICLE THAT SOUNDS LIKE ITS AN OLD VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OR PROPER COMPENSATION FOR OUR TROUBLES? IT IS NO ISSUE OF OURS THAT THE SUV IS MAKING SUCH HORRIBLE NOISES ON ITS OWN. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, SO WHY DON'T THEY FIX IT??!!*JB
2005 PATHFINDER SE, ROOF RACK FRONT COVERS KEEP COMING OFF WHILE DRIVING, DESIGN/MOUNTING MECHANISM INSUFFICIENT. IT'S HAPPENED 3 TIMES, DRIVER'S SIDE TWICE, PASSENGER SIDE ONCE. DEALER SAID PARTS ARE ON BACK-ORDER BECAUSE OTHER PATHFINDER OWNERS ARE HAVING PROBLEMS TOO. NISSAN NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MOUNT THESE COVERS, INSTEAD OF JUST KEEP ON REPLACING THEM! *NM
WITH JUST 64,585 MILES ON MY 2005 PATHFINDER LE I STARTED TO EXPERIENCE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND A SOMETIMES DIS-FUNCTIONAL GAS GAUGE. WHILE TAKING THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE WIRING HARNESS RECALL, THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP CHECKED THE CODE AND DETERMINED THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE FUEL SENDING UNIT ASSEMBLY---ESTIMATED PART COST OF $420.00! SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS OVER 60,000 MILES THE PART WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS, BUT BECAUSE OF THE CODE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT PASS THE STATE REQUIRED EMISSIONS TEST UNTIL THE UNIT WAS REPLACED. LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD AND ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. *JB
REAR WINDOWS SOMETIMES WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN. INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AT TIMES. *NM
THE TRANSMISSION IN THE 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER SLIPS AND JERKS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE SLIPPAGE CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RAPIDLY DECELERATE IN TRAFFIC INCREASING THE LIKELIHOOD OF AN ACCIDENT. THE RAPID JERKING OF THE VEHICLE CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO LOOSE CONTROL ON ITS OWN OR FRIGHTEN OR DISORIENT THE DRIVER CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
NISSAN PATHFINDER REAR SPRING DEFECT. VEHICLE CLAIMED TO CARRY 7 PASSENGERS YET WITH ONLY 4 PASSENGERS THE REAR SPRINGS CANNOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE VEHICLE HITS THE BUMP STOPS CAUSING VEHICLE TO LOOSE CONTROL. *JB
I OWN A 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER AND THE VEHICLE IS RUSTING ON THE TAILGATE. THE VEHICLE IS HAS LESS THAN 30K AND IS RUSTING. *JB

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUNVISOR WAS MADE WITH A DEFECTIVE PLASTIC ASSEMBLY AND WHEN DRIVING OVER A ROAD BUMP, THE SUNVISOR WOULD FALL AND BLOCK THE CONTACT'S VIEW OF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 32,695. KMJ
I STARTED FEELING WEIRD SHAKING AND JERKING MOVEMENTS WHENEVER I WENT ON THE FREEWAY GOING AROUND 65 MPH ABOUT A YEAR AFTER I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP (DIRITO BROTHERS, WALNUT CREEK, CA -- THE PLACE FROM WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR) TO CHECK IT OUT, AND THEY TOLD ME THE CAR WAS FINE BUT I WAS STILL FEELING THIS SAME SHAKING. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SHOP FOR THE SAME THING ABOUT TWO MORE TIMES, AND I GOT THE SAME ANSWER. THE CAR ONLY GOT WORSE AND WORSE. AT THE LAST VISIT, WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WAS ALMOST BROKEN, THEY TOLD ME ABOUT A COOLER SYSTEM CRACK AND THEY RECOMMENDED I REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION WITH A NEW ONE. I TOLD THEM I HAD NO MONEY FOR IT, SO WHAT THEY DID WAS FIX THE CRACK, FLUSH THE TRANSMISSION, AND CLEAN IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE INSIDE. AFTER A WHILE, MY TRANSMISSION BROKE DOWN COMPLETELY AND AFTER MY CAR WAS OVER 100,000 MILES, THAT'S WHEN I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE DEALER TELLING ME ABOUT A FACTORY FAILURE -- I DIDN'T QUALIFY BECAUSE THEY ONLY FIXED CARS WITH LESS THAN 100,000 MILES ON THEM. THIS ISN'T FAIR BECAUSE I'VE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ISSUE SINCE LONG BEFORE THE CAR HAD 100,000 MILES ON IT. I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE. I WOULD APPRECIATE THE HELP. PURCHASED 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER FEB 2006. 1ST VISIT TO DEALERSHIP FOR MAINTENANCE REQUESTED DEALERSHIP TO CHECK THE DIRECTIONAL STABILITY (WANDERING) OF THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE VIOLENT SHAKING WHEN THE VEHICLE HITS A BUMP ON THE FREEWAY AT SPEEDS OF 50 MPH OR HIGHER. THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT THEY ADJUSTED AIR IN TIRES. I WAS ADVISED THAT THE MECHANIC HAD ADJUSTED THE CAM AND TOE OF THE FRONT END AND THE ALIGNMENT WAS CHECKED FOR ACCURACY. THE DIRECTIONAL STABILITY WAS IMPROVED, BUT NOT TO ACCEPTABLE STANDARDS. 3RD VISIT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND MY REQUEST TO ROTATE TIRES. AGAIN STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WANDERS AND VIOLENTLY SHAKES WHEN HITTING ANY BUMP. DEALERSHIP CHANGED OIL, ROTATED TIRES AND TEST DROVE THE 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER. I WAS ADVISED WANDERING AND SHAKING WAS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VEHICLE AND THERE WAS NOTHING MORE NISSAN COULD DO. THE WANDERING WAS ATTRIBUTED TO TALL TIRES, SHORT WHEEL BASE AND NO LOAD. MY AREA'S REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE FROM NNA ADVISED ME TO HAVE A CERTIFIED NISSAN MECHANIC FROM A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP GO ON A DRIVE-ALONG TO EXPERIENCE THE ISSUE OF WANDERING AND VIOLENT SHAKING. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND RODE AS THEIR "LEAD TECH" DROVE MY 2005 NISSAN PATHFINDER AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. HE EXPERIENCED THE WANDERING AND VIOLENT SHAKING. HE ADVISED THAT THOSE WERE ALL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VEHICLE. THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND I WAS ADVISED IF I HAD ANY FURTHER ISSUES I COULD WRITE A LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO NNA. I TOO, HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THE SOURCE OF THE LOUD SQUEAK/VIBRATION IS FROM THE FUEL TANK/FUEL PUMP DESIGN. THE VEHICLE BECOMES VERY HARD TO CONTROL WHILE GOING OVER BUMPS AT 55-65 MPH ESPECIALLY GOING AROUND LONG SWEEPING TURNS. APPARENTLY, THE 2004 PATHFINDER HAD A 2 SPRING DESIGN WHICH WAS CHANGED TO A 1 SPRING DESIGN IN 2005. ONCE THE FUEL TANK BECOMES PRESSURIZED (CAR RUNNING FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES), A LOUD, CONSTANT, AND OBTRUSIVE SQUEAK/VIBRATION COMES FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. TO DATE, NISSAN DOES NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THIS WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE SINCE THE VIBRATION IS COMING FROM A CRITICALLY SENSITIVE AREA SUCH AS THE FUEL TANK. SUDDENLY THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL CAME OFF CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO HAVE DIFFICULTY MAINTAINING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER MANAGED TO PULL OVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED AT THIS TIME. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT HE STILL HAS TEMPORARY TAGS ON HIS VEHICLE BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP LOST THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK. WHEN THE VEHICLE TIRE CAME OFF 4 OF THE 6 WHEEL MOUNTING STUDS WERE MISSING AND THE TWO THAT WERE PRESENT WERE LOOSE. THE BRAKE DRUM WAS MOVING AND THE FENDER WAS DENTED. *TC
