SINCE THE DAY WE BOUGHT THIS BRAND NEW 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER VEHICLE THE ORANGE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED ALMOST ALL OF THE TIME WHILE PASSENGER IS IN THE FRONT SEAT. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO CHERRY HILL NISSAN DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 4 TIMES COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT BEING ON EVEN WITH AN ADULT PASSENGER SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT. (AND THEN WITH NO ONE SITTING IN THE SEAT - SOMETIMES THE LIGHT IS ON, SOMETIMES IT IS OFF) ALL THOSE TIMES I GOT AN EXPLANATION THAT IT IS JUST A SOFTWARE GLINCH AND THEY TRY SOME FIX THAT DOES NOT WORK. THEY UPDATED THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE BUT TO DATE ALMOST EVERY SINGLE TIME THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL COME ON. I'M JUST WORRIED THAT IF THE VEHICLE WILL GET IN AN ACCIDENT AND SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THE FRONT, THAT SOMEONE IS NOT PROTECTED FROM THE IMPACT.I HAVE CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHO TOLD ME NOT TO LET ANYONE SIT IN FRONT SEAT - THAT'S NOT A VERY GOOD SOLUTION AND FOR THE COST OF THE VEHICLE I SHOULD BE ABLE TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO SIT IN MY FRONT SEAT ESPECIALLY WHEN DUE TO THE # OF PEOPLE I NEED TO USE THE FRONT SEAT.
INSIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKE ALL OF A SUDDEN (DRIVER SIDE)! NEED TO ROLL DOWN WINDOW TO OPEN DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE WHICH IS CONCERNING IN CASE EMERGENCY AND CANT ROLL DOWN WINDOW, WONT BE ABLE TO OPEN CAR TO GET OUT!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 29,000.

I AM DRIVING MY 2013 PATHFINDER AND FROM TIME TO TIME, ON THE HIGHWAY OR LOCAL ROADS, EVEN AT TAKE OFF I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING HAPPENS. THE REVS DO NOT RISE, THE TRUCK DOES NOT ACCELERATE. I CAN PUT THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR AND STILL NOTHING. IT HAPPENS ROUGHLY ONCE EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. I LET GO THE ACCELERATOR AND PRESS IT AGAIN AND IT IS BACK TO NORMAL. THE TRUCK IS WARM EVERY TIME IT HAPPENS, SO I CANT SAY IT IS BECAUSE I AM DRIVING THE ENGINE COLD.
SUN VISOR. THE PLASTIC PIECES THAT GIVE THE VISOR THE ABILITY TO BE MOVED AND HOLD THE VISOR IN THE DESIRED POSITION ARE KNOWN TO FAIL WITH FREQUENCY. THE RESULT IS A VISOR THAT FLOPS AROUND ON THE ROD MOUNT AND WILL NOT STAY IN THE UP POSITION SNUG TO THE HEADLINER. IT WILL NOT STAY IN ANY POSITION ACCEPT HANGING DOWN DUE TO GRAVITY. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT OBSTRUCTS THE VIEW OF THE DRIVER. THIS HAPPENS TO BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES AND OBSTRUCTS VISION WHEN EITHER SIDE HAS FAILED.
THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN MAY 2015. THE VEHICLE HAD 54K MILES. WITHIN 45 DAYS OF PURCHASE NOTICED THAT WHILE PULLING INTO TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE. THIS WAS ALSO NOTICED WHEN BEGINNING FROM A COMPLETE STOP. TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO LIBERTY GMC IN PEORIA, AZ WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS SENT TO NISSAN AND THEY DID SOME REPROGRAMMING. GOT THE CAR BACK AND IT CONTINUED THE SAME ISSUES. TOOK BACK A WEEK LATER AND SUPPOSEDLY THEY PUT A NEW TRANSMISSION ON THE VEHICLE. WELL HERE WE ARE 1 YEAR LATER AND THE SAME ISSUES ARE HAPPENING AGAIN. THIS TIME WITH THE ADDED BONUS OF A CLUNK WHEN YOU HIT THE ACCELERATOR. WILL BE TAKING IN AGAIN NEXT WEEK. SECOND ISSUE IS WITH MY WIFE ( WHO IS 8 MONTHS PREGNANT) SITTING IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT THE LIGHT SAYING AIRBAG IS OFF STAYS ON. NISSAN SEEMS TO NOT BE TAKING SOME OF THESE ISSUES VERY SERIOUSLY.
DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP. IT BLOCKS VIEW OF ROAD TO FRONT.
PASSENGER AIRBAG MONITOR LIGHT STAYS ON WITH AN ADULT SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS HAPPENS OFTEN.
I WAS ON A TRIP TO THE STORE, ALL OF A SUDDEN MY PATHFINDER ACTED AS IF IT HAD NO POWER WHEN I WAS GETTING READY TO GET GOING FROM A STOPLIGHT. THIS SAME THING OCCURRED SEVERAL MORE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DRIVE. ON ONE OCCASION MY FAMILY AND I WERE PUT INTO AN UNSAFE SITUATION. AS I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A TURN IN AN INTERSECTION MY PATHFINDER HAD NO POWER AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO BE HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. ANOTHER ISSUE IS WITH THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULDN'T GO OFF ONCE I GOT TO A STOPPING POINT. THEY STAY ON AND DON'T GO OFF WITHOUT THE FUSE FOR THE STOP LIGHT BEING PULLED.
AIRBAG LIGHT SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO PASSENGER IN THE SEAT WHEN A ADULT SITS IN THE SEAT
THE TRANSMISSION HAS GIVEN ME PROBLEMS FOR THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF. INITIALLY WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE VEHICLE WOULD SHUDDER AND STRUGGLE TO GET INTO A HIGHER GEAR. THE CAR WOULD GO SLOWER THAN IT SHOULD BASED ON THE PRESSURE APPLIED TO THE GAS PEDAL. THIS SHUDDERING WOULD ALSO OCCUR WHEN ACCELERATING ON THE FREEWAY. I COULD BE GOING 55MPH AND THEN NEEDED TO MERGE OR PASS AND WHEN THE GAS IS PRESSED A STRONG SHUDDER WOULD OCCUR SOMETIMES FEELING LIKE THE CAR WOULD STOP AT ANY SECOND. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE DEALER TWO MORE TIMES. THERE WERE SOME SOFTWARE UPDATES AND EVENTUALLY, LAST JULY, THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. A 2 YEAR OLD CAR WITH APPROXIMATELY 40K MILES. THAT IS UNHEARD OF. AFTER THE TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT THINGS SEEMED TO BE WORKING FINE. EVERY NOW AND THEN I WOULD FEEL A SLIGHT SHUDDER BUT WASN'T SURE IF THAT WAS ACTUALLY OCCURRING BECAUSE OF WHAT I WAS USED TO BEFORE. WELL IT DEFINITELY WAS AND GOT NOTICEABLY WORSE. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR WOULD MOVE AND SEEM TO BE STUCK IN GEAR. I COULD PUSH THE GAS PEDAL DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND WOULD GO NO FASTER THAN 20 MPH. THIS WAS A PROBLEM AS I WAS IN TRAFFIC NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I TOOK IT BACK TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT WAS NEEDED. THE UPDATE WAS APPLIED LAST WEEK AND THE PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORSE. ACCELERATING FROM ANY SPEED WHETHER FROM 0 OR 55 THE CAR GETS STUCK AND DOESN'T GO ANY FASTER, THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN ONE DAY ON THE HIGHWAY AND LUCKILY NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED. THE CAR IS NOW BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP. I HAVE A FAMILY WITH 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND AM AFRAID TO PUT MY FAMILY IN THE CAR. NISSAN HAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED ME WITH THIS AND IT SEEMS THIS IS AN ONGOING AND KNOWN ISSUE FOR 2013 PATHFINDERS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT SPONGY. WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS ACTVATED, THE FAILURE WAS MORE EVIDENT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.
I'VE PURCHASED THIS CAR 18 MONTHS AGO, AND JUST STARTED EXPERIENCING LOSS OF POWER AND JOLTING. IT'S LOSES POWER AND WON'T GO. IT JUST PUTS PUTS PUTS FOOT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE. THE NEXT DAY IT STARTS UP I DRIVE IT TO NISSAN THEY SAID I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. I PAYED 30,000 FOR THIS CAR AND 18 MONTHS LATER I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY FOR THAT I STILL OWE 21,000 ON THE CAR. SO IT'S SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY.

MY CAR LOST POWER BROUGHT IT IN FOR SERVICE NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. AT 89,000 MILES SHOULDN'T NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION BEEN READING UP ON IT AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING TO GET A NEW TRANSMISSION ON THE CVT TRANSMISSION THAT NISSAN IS USING. STARTS WITH A FINDING NOISE WHEN DRIVING LONG DISTANCES THAN JUST LOST POWER WON'T MOVE CAR STILL RUNNING. IT SHUTTERS LIKE PUTS PUTS AND SHUTS OFF. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED. THEY TOLD ME TRANSMISSION IS GOING. I PAYED 30,000 DOLLARS FOR THIS CAR 18 MONTHS AGO STILL OWE 21500 ON IT AND DO NOT HAVE 5000 ON A NEW TRANSMISSION AT THIS POINT I DON'T WANT THE CAR ANYMORE.
ISSUE HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES IN 1 DAY. WHEN PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR VEHICLE DOES NOT REACT. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE MOVING AT MULTIPLE SPEEDS OR STOPPED. I PRESS THE BRAKE AND GO TO ACCELERATE AGAIN AND IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE. OR I CAN BE STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND PRESS THE ACCELERATOR AND VEHICLE WILL NOT REACT. ISSUE IS HAPPENING ABOUT 4-5 TIMES DURING A 15 MILE DRIVE. THIS IS HAPPENING ON FLAT SURFACES. IT LOOKS LIKE THE RPM INCREASE VERY LITTLE BUT EVEN IF I CONTINUE TO PRESS DOWN FURTHER ON THE PEDAL IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FAILURE OCCURRED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
A FEW THINGS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING WITH MY 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW FEB 2013 AND THE ISSUES STARED RIGHT AWAY. THE ONE THING THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IS THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT'S GOING TO STALL. I WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT FEELS LIKE IT IS IN NEUTRAL ALL OF THE SUDDEN. I WILL PRESS THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING. WHEN TURNING INTO TRAFFIC OR JUST TURNING PERIOD, IT DOES THE SAME THING. IT IS VERY SCARY. I HAVE 2 YOUNG CHILDREN AND THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. I HAVE REPORTED THE PROBLEM NUMEROUS TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO CLAIMS THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM OR DID NOT NOTICE ANY PROBLEMS I WAS DESCRIBING. IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE AS THE VEHICLE AGES. JUST THE OTHER DAY I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN NOT ONLY WAS I EXPERIENCING THIS HAPPENING WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH BUT MY CRUISE CONTROL WOULDN'T ENGAGE (I THOUGHT MAYBE THIS WOULD HELP KEEP THE CAR AT THE RIGHT SPEED) BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN ON . THEN THE ABS & VDC LIGHTS TURNED ON. WHEN I GOT HOME I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE LIGHTS WERE NO LONGER ON. NEXT TIME I TRIED THE CRUISE CONTROL IT WORKED. ANOTHER THING THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IS MY BRAKE LIGHTS WILL STAY ON WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF, NOT EVERY TIME BUT MANY TIMES AND THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES I DIDN'T CATCH IT. JUST THIS MORNING MY BATTERY WAS DEAD AND THE BATTERY IS ONLY A FEW MONTHS OLD. I'M THINKING THESE LIGHTS STAYED ON ALL NIGHT. BEFORE TRYING TO JUMP-START MY BATTERY, WITH THE VEHICLE OFF, THERE WAS A CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE FAR RIGHT OF THE ENGINE. WE WERE ABLE TO JUMP START MY CAR AND IT HAS BEEN WORKING FINE TODAY SO FAR BUT I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALER, YET AGAIN, FOR THESE ISSUES.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CALLED A LOCAL DEALER WHO ADVISED HER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE TECHNICIAN KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

I JUST PURCHASED MY VEHICLE LAST WEEK. WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON AND EVEN WHEN SOMEONE WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS STILL ON STATING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS TURNED OFF. I WAS ADVISED THERE IS A RECALL OUT FOR THIS ISSUE. THIS SITUATION SEEMS SIMILAR TO A COUPLE OTHER RECALLS ON THE 2013 PATHFINDERS. I'M UNSURE IF THE REPAIRS WERE DONE BEFORE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT IF THEY WERE THE ISSUE STILL REMAINS. SINCE THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS FROM MY VEHICLE. EITHER MY VEHICLE WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALLS OR THE REPAIRS WERE ATTEMPTED BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINS. I JUST WANT THE VEHICLE TO BE SAFE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.
OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM IS INCORRECTLY SAYING THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT IS EMPTY, WHEN IN FACT OCCUPIED BY AN ADULT. NISSAN IS SAYING THAT BASED ON MY VIN# MY VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF THE CURRENT RECALL FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM. THIS MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DEATH OF A PASSENGER IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT.
MY PATHFINDER STALLS AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON AN ELEVATED SURFACE. WE JUST BOUGHT OUR 2013 PATHFINDER (53.5K MILES) LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO. IT IS CERTIFIED PRE OWNED AND UNDER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY 7 YEARS/ 100K MILES. WHEN I TOOK THE ISSUE TO THE DEALERSHIP, LAST WEEK, I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR DID NOT THROW A COMPUTER CODE AND WHEN THEY TEST DROVE MY CAR THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES. EVEN AFTER THE MANDATORY RECALLS THE PROBLEM SPORADICALLY STILL EXISTS. SOMETIMES THE LIGHT STAYS ON BRIEFLY AND OTHER TIMES IT STAYS ON UP TO THIRTY MINUTES. I NEVER GET A GOOD EXPLANATION BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OTHER THAN WE CHECKED OR ADJUSTED THE SENSOR. AFTER THREE YEARS I THINK IT IS TIME NISSAN STEPS UP AND FIXES THE PROBLEM PROPERLY. THE DEALER SAID THE ONLY SOLUTION WAS TO REPLACE THE OCS, BUT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO IT AT COST. I THOUGHT THAT IF IT WAS A SAFETY CONCERN THE MAUFACTURER WAS TO REPAIR IT AT THEIR COST NOT MINE.
