DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER SUN VISORS WILL NOT STAY IN THE UP POSITION. THEY HANG DOWN AND BLOCK THE VIEW ALL AROUND. WE HAVE FIXED THEM 3 TIMES ALREADY. THE WARRANTY HAD JUST EXPIRED HE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED AND NISSAN WANTS TO CHARGE $175 EACH TIME IT BREAKS.
WHILE I WAS TOLD THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED PREVIOUSLY IN THE VEHICLE (AROUND JUNE 22, 2015), I EXPERIENCED IT ON 7/6/15. I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT @ 68 MPH. I SLOWED TO TAKE AN OFFRAMP LEFT ONTO A CONNECTOR AND PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR TO REGAIN SPEED. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE; THE ACCELERATOR HAD NO POWER--EVEN WHEN PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. THE CAR BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. IT WAS A BUSY TIME OF DAY, AND THERE WAS A CAR BEHIND ME. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND PRESSED IT AGAIN; THIS TIME IT WAS RESPONSIVE. IN ADDITION TO THE LOSS OF POWER, THE CAR 'HITCHED' AS I WAS DRIVING AND BRAKING, AND THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AFTERWARDS--NOT JUST ON TURNS. ON 7/7, I CALLED NISSAN SERVICE. I DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN UNTIL THEY FIT ME IN (THURS., 7/9). THE DRIVE TRAIN IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, AND I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A CRT REPROGRAMMING RECALL THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, BUT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WAS HAPPENING, SO THEY WOULD RUN MULTIPLE DIAGNOSTICS AT $125 OR MORE A PIECE. AFTER MULTIPLE DIAGNOSTICS AND A TECHNICIAN DRIVING MY CAR 44 MILES, SERVICE "COULD NOT DUPLICATE CONCERN," DID NOT KNOW OF ANY LIKE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR, HAD PERFORMED THE RECALL, AND SENT ME HOME AT NO CHARGE (?) ON 7/10. AFTERWARDS, I DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS. ON 7/16, IT SEEMED SAFE, AND MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING WITH ME IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT HAPPENED AGAIN--ON A BUSY ROAD! THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON TOO. WE STOPPED; I TOOK A PICTURE, IMMEDIATELY EMAILED IT TO SERVICE, & SWITCHED DRIVERS. THERE'S NO RESPONSE YET. NISSAN ONLINE FORUMS ARE FULL OF 2013 PATHFINDER (AND NISSAN CRT MODEL) OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS, BEING TOLD SIMILAR THINGS, AND HAVING TRANSMISSIONS (CRT) REPLACED BUT IT HAPPENING AGAIN. NISSAN WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT SEEMS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH THE CRT & THIS MODEL.
THE RECALL FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAG IS NOT ARMED WAS PERFORMED IN 2014. I NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THIS LIGHT UNTIL AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. SINCE THEN, IT OCCURS PERIODICALLY FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, DESPITE A PASSENGER OF FROM 80 LBS TO 215 LBS. I TELL THEM TO SIT BACK HARDER OR LIFT THEIR BUTT UP AND SIT DOWN AGAIN TO SEE IF THE LIGHT GOES OFF. SOMETIMES IT DOES WITH THE HEAVIEST PASSENGERS, BUT NOT WITH THE LIGHTEST. THIS IS VERY INTERMITTENT AND THE DEALER REPS CAN NEVER DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I SUSPECT THE ISSUE IS IN THE SENSORS IN THE SEAT, BUT WHO KNOWS? OBVIOUSLY, THERE ARE MANY OTHER PATHFINDERS WITH THE SAME ON-GOING PROBLEM AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW IF THE AIRBAG IS REALLY INOPERATIVE OR WHETHER IT WILL WORK DESPITE THE LIGHT. I DON'T WANT TO FIND OUT EITHER! FORTUNATELY, I DRIVE CAREFULLY.
I GOT A NISSAN PATHFINDER PLATINUM 2013, WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 40 MPH, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD IT STOPPED ACCELERATING FOR A GOOD 5 TO 15 SECONDS, EVEN THU I PRESSED THE GAS MEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. THAT HAPPENED VERY OFTEN NOW. I TOOK IT TO THE SUTHERLAND NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN FORT MYERS , FLORIDA, THEY WERE TELLING IT COULD BE THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I ENCOURAGE EVERYBODY WHO HAS THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR NISSAN VEHICLE TO COME FORWARD AND COMPLAINED. THAT CVT TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE AND THAT DIRECTLY PUT PEOPLE LIFE IN GREAT DANGER.
WHILE DRIVING, VEHICLE LOOSES POWER, ACCELERATION, PRESSING ON GAS AND NOTHING HAPPENS, SHIFT CAR TO NEUTRAL AND PRESS ON GAS AND RPM"S GO UP, SHIFT BACK TO DRIVE, PRESS ON GAS AND RPM'S DON'T MOVE, VEHICLE DOES NOT GO. ALL THE TIMES THAT IT HAS HAPPENED WE HAD TO COAST EITHER TO THE SIDE OF ROAD, OR TO NEXT LIGHT. THIS IS A REAR END COLLISION WAITING TO HAPPEN, THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE!!! TOOK CAR TO NISSAN DEALER, BUT SINCE CAR DID NOT DETECT ANY ERROR CODES, DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO FIND FIX, BUT THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG WITH CAR, HTTP://WWW.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM WENT UNTO THIS SITE AND FOUND MORE THAN 100 COMPLAINT SIMILAR TO MINE, ABOUT CAR LOOSING POWER. SOMEBODY HAS TO LOOK INTO THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT OR DIES. THIS IS MY WIFE'S CAR AND I HAVE A 3YR OLD AND A 2YR OLD THAT SHE DRIVES AROUND, PLEASE, SOMEONE LOOK INTO THIS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE CVT WAS REPLACED ON TWO PREVIOUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS NOT WORKING AGAIN. FIRST TIME FIXED BY NISSAN BASED ON RECALL ISSUED. ONCE AGAIN THE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG LIGHT IS INDICATING THE PASSENGER SEAT IS NOT OCCUPIED WHEN IT IS BEING OCCUPIED. DO NOT KNOW IF AIRBAG IS WORKING OR NOT. THE VEHICLE IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AT 37,530 MILES. NISSAN HEADQUARTERS WAS NOT HELPFUL; TOLD ME TO TAKE BACK TO DEALER AND HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AT MY EXPENSE. TOLD TO CALL BACK AND ADVISE THEM OF RESULTS; THEY WOULD THEN TAKE IT UNDER ADVISEMENT!
I HAVE EXPERIENCED AN INCREASED IN BRAKE, EVERY TIME I HIT SLIGHTLY THE GAS PEDAL ON MY 2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER PLATINUM..AND I WAS DRIVING AROUND 15 TO 20 MILES/HOUR, I DON'T KNOW WHY NISSAN HAS PUT IN THE MARKET A CAR WITH SO MANY BUGS.
MY PATHFINDER HAS ALREADY HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED ONCE AND IS STILL HAVING ISSUES. SINCE THIS PAST THURSDAY, IT HAS BEEN HESITATING OR FEELING LIKE IT IS IN NEUTRAL WHEN IT IS IN DRIVE. I TOOK NOTE OF THE LATEST ONE TODAY. I WAS STOPPED (ON A MAJOR STREET) WAITING FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO PASS. IT DID, AND I ACCELERATED TO TURN LEFT AND THE CAR FELT LIKE I HAD PUT IT IN NEUTRAL. IT WAS SLOWLY ROLLING BUT NOT ACCELERATING AS I CROSSED OVER THE ON-COMING LANE AND CONTINUED WITH MY LEFT TURN. I CHECK TO SEE IF IT WAS IN DRIVE (IT WAS) AND CHECKED THE SPEED (20MPH) BECAUSE I HAD BROUGHT IT IN LAST WEEK WHEN IT DID IT THE FIRST THREE TIMES, AND THEY ASKED ME WHAT SPEED I WAS GOING WHEN IT HAPPENED. THE TIME PRIOR TO THAT I WAS CHANGING LANES ON THE HIGHWAY (INFRONT OF A LARGE TRUCK) AT ABOUT 50 MPH AND WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE, I GOT THE SAME FEELING. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! THE TIME PRIOR TO THAT, I HAD BEEN AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED, I CROSSED OVER THE FIRST SECTION OF THE RED LIGHT THEN TURNED LEFT AND ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE BUT IT (AGAIN) FELT LIKE I HAD THROWN IT INTO NEUTRAL. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR A SECOND TO LET OTHER CARS PASS IN CASE IT STALLED ON ME. THE FIRST TIME WAS JUST WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS HAS ME EXTREMELY SCARED AS IN TWO OF THE SITUATIONS, I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF I COULDN'T ACCELERATE TO MOVE AND A CAR PLOWED INTO ME.
I HAD THAT NISSAN PATHFINDER PATINUM FOR A WEEK, I NOTICED IT SHUDDERING AND SHAKING WHEN I PRESS LIGHTLY ON THE GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE., ITS LIKE THE VEHICLES SHUTTING DOWN ON ME. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER SUTHERLIN NISSAN IN FORT-MYERS, FLORIDA AND I'M STILL WAITING ON THEM. FOR WHOEVER WHO HAS EXPERIENCED THIS KIND OF SHUDDERING PROBLEM, ITS A VERY SCARY AND FRIGHTENED MOMENT. NISSAN NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE.
I HAVE SEEN THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT COME ON AND OFF FOR THE PAST 10,000 MILES. IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS IT JUST BLINKS ALL THE TIME. THE VEHICLE WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY FOR A TOTAL OF THREE MORE RECALLS, CVT REPROGRAM, HOOD LATCH, AND REPROGRAM THE OCS ( AIR BAG ). I PICKED THE VEHICLE UP, STARTED THE CAR, AND LIGHT WAS STILL BLINKING? IF THE LIGHT IS STILL BLINKING ALL THE TIME, THE PASS SIDE AIR BAG IS NOT OPERABLE? SO THE OCS RECALL IS A WASTE OF TIME, I HAVE READ OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT THERE LIGHT IS STILL ON ALSO! WHAT IS REALLY WRONG WITH THE CAR? WHO IS RESPONSIBLE WHEN AN ACCIDENT OCCURS AND THE PASSENGER IS INJURED? *TR
DRIVER INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE AT 15,000 MILES AND PASSENGER INTERIOR HANDLE BROKE AT 17,000 MILES. YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE USING THE DOOR HANDLE. THE POWER WINDOW HAS TO BE PUT DOWN, THEN YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, THEN REACH OUTSIDE THE CAR TO USE THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE TO GET OUT. THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD IF NEEDING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE IN AN EMERGENCY.
THIS IS A COMPLAINT SUPPORTING NHTSA ACTION NUMBER RQ15001. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED (SHOWING THE AIRBAG IS OFF) WHILE AN ADULT OVER 150 LBS IS SITTING IN THE SEAT. I HAVE HAD IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE COMPLAINT. I ALSO HAVE 2 VIDEOS OF THE ISSUE WHILE TRAVELING IN THE VEHICLE TO PROVE THAT THEIR IS AN ISSUE THAT EXISTS. IT HAS ALREADY HAD THE RECALL DONE ON THIS VEHICLE FOR THIS ISSUE. THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS). *TR
UPON ACCELERATION FROM IDLE OR AT TRAFFIC LIGHT, DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATION PEDAL PRODUCES NO MOVEMENT. YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN, UPON WHICH NO MOVEMENT FORWARD IS CREATED. ALSO, THE PASSENGER FRONT AIRBAG, EVEN WITH A 160 POUND PASSENGER SITS IN SEAT, AIRBAG LIGHT IS STILL TURNED OFF, SUBSEQUENTLY TURNING OFF AIRBAG. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A LOCAL STREET TRAVELING ABOUT 35 MILES PER HOUR. AS I WAS ACCELERATING DOWN THE STREET MY CAR BEGIN TO SLOW DOWN WITHOUT ME HITTING THE BRAKES. I HAD TO TURN IN THE TURNING LANE SO KNOW ONE WOULD HIT THE BACK OF MY CAR. I TOOK MY CAR IN TO THE NISSAN DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT MY CAR. THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING, BUT THE SAID IT WAS A RECALL ON A PART ON MY TRANSMISSION. THEY FIXED IT. I NOTICED THE SAME THING HAPPENED TWO WEEKS LATER. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE TAILGATE/HATCHBACK TRIED TO CLOSE ON WIFE'S HEAD AS SHE WAS PLACING STUFF INTO THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED TO ME. IT OCCURS WHEN THE GATE HASN'T FULLY OPENED YET, BUT FOR SOME REASON, IT DECIDES TO CLOSE INSTEAD OF OPEN WHEN SOMEONE IS REACHING INTO THE BACK. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE RUBBER AND THE ROOF RACKS DETERIORATED CAUSING THE RUBBER TO PARTIALLY DETACH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT FAILURE OCCURRED WITH A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY NISSAN PATHFINDER WAS FIXED UNDER THE RECALL FOR THE AIR BAG. WHILE DRIVING WITH MY 190 LB HUSBAND IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAG WAS OFF. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, EVEN AFTER BEING FIXED. *TR
HAD RECALL ON TRANSMISSION FOR SOFTWARE UPDATE, LEFT DEALERSHIP ONCE IT WAS DONE. COULD NOT ACCELERATE TO GET OFF OF HILL BEHIND THE DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE WOULD ONLY GO IN REVERSE. HAD THE PEDAL DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. *TR
TURNING INTO PARKING SPACE AT MCDONALDS. FOOT ON BRAKES, SHIFT LEVER IN DRIVE, ENGINE SPEED AT IDLE. A BRIGHT RED FLASHING "EMERGENCY" LIGHT APPEARED INSIDE THE SPEEDOMETER RING AT THE NINE O'CLOCK POSITION. SIMULTANEOUSLY ACCOMPANIED BY A COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE. THIS LIGHT IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE OPERATORS MANUAL. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE PORT CHARLOTTE FL DEALER AND CHECKED OUT PERFECTLY. THEIR MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS LIGHT--IT IS NOT IN THEIR MAINTENANCE MANUAL. I HAVE THREE EYE WITNESSES INSIDE THE CAR AT THE TIME. A LARGE SUV WITH NO BRAKES! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? *TR
THERE IS A VIOLENT SHUDDER/JUDDER THAT OCCURS DURING TURNS, UNEVEN ROADS, UP HILLS, SLOWER SPEEDS DURING TRAFFIC. GEARS DO NOT SEEM TO CHANGE AND OPERATE SMOOTHLY. JUDDERS INTO NEXT GEAR LOSING POWER AND CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE THAT SCARES EVERYONE IN THE CAR. AS CONSUMERS WE ALL PURCHASE NEW VEHICLES FOR RELIABILITY AND SAFELY. YOU STICK TO A BRAND YOU KNOW AND TRUST BECAUSE OF PRIOR EXPERIENCES OR WORD OF MOUTH REFERRALS. NISSAN HAS TRIED TO GIVE ME A HARDER TIME FIXING THESE ISSUES BY ASKING TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE OR RECORD WHILE DRIVING, WHICH IS ALSO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL. THESE ISSUES ARE SURPRISINGLY ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET, YET I HAVE NOT SEEN A FIX TO DATE, OWNERSHIP FROM THE MANUFACTURE OF THE PROBLEM OR RECALL. PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE AT RISK IN THESE FAULTY AUTO'S EVERY DAY AND YET NOTHING SEEMS TO BE DONE. AFTER HAVING MY SECOND TRANSMISSION INSTALLED, WHEEL BARRING REPLACED, RUBBER STRIPS FROM ROOF REPLACED AS WELL AS DRIVER VISOR I WILL SOON FILE FOR A LEMON CLAIM. PLEASE TAKE MY ISSUES SERIOUS AND HELP SAVE PEOPLE THAT COULD POSSIBLY LOSE THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF THESE FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS.
I WAS DRIVING ALONG, GOING ABOUT 40 MPH, WHEN SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND I WAS FORCED TO COAST IT TO THE SHOULDER AND RESTART IT AGAIN. I HAD ABOUT 3/4 TANK OF GAS, SO THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. IT HAPPENED AT LEAST TWICE SINCE THEN AND WE HAD IT SERVICED ON YESTERDAY, BUT THE MECHANIC COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. HOWEVER, THIS LOSS OF POWER, ESPECIALLY ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THANK YOU *TR
MY PASSENGER AIRBAG TURNS OFF EVEN WHEN A FULL SIZE ADULT OF THE PROPER WEIGHT IS IN THE FRONT SEAT. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS ON JUNE 1ST 2016. I HAVE CONTINUED TO TRY TO SCHEDULE SERVICE FOR THIS RECALL, HOWEVER, THE DEALER HAS NOTIFIED ME THAT NISSAN HAS STILL NOT MADE THE PART AVAILABLE TO THEM TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE AIR BAG SYSTEM WAS CHECKED AND UPGRADED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FUNCTIONING AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V138000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). DRIVING AT 55 MPH AND NOTICED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WAS LIT INDICATING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS DISABLED. MY WIFE IS OVER 135 LBS AND HAD HER SEATBELT ON. I PULLED OVER AND PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL. DID NOT FIX PROBLEM. PUT IN PARK AND RESTARTED CAR AND LIGHT WENT OUT. THIS HAS OCCURRED PREVIOUSLY AND SOLUTION WAS THE SAME. I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE LIGHT WITH WIFE IN THE SEAT. REPORTED TO DEALERSHIP AND HE SAID SOMETIMES THE ONBOARD COMPUTER GETS CONFUSED AND THE RESTART CLEARS THE ISSUE. HE SAID THE WEIGHT WAS AN ISSUE ALTHOUGH FED GUIDELINES ARE 108 LBS. HE ALSO SAID THAT THE SEATBELT WOULD DO THE JOB AND THAT AIRBAGS WOULD ONLY RESULT IN INJURY TO THE PASSENGER... TOLD HIM I WAS NOT BUYING HIS BS. *TR
WHEN THE CAR IS FULL OF PASSENGERS THE TRANSMISSION STARTS TO MISS SHIFT CAUSING A VIBRATION. FEELS UNSAFE WHEN CARRYING PASSENGERS. ALSO VEHICLES BACKUP CAMERA IS STARTING TO ACT UP. THE VIDEO IS SCREEN HAS LINES THROUGH IT AND SOMETIMES THE BACKUP ALARMS DEACTIVATE. *TR
I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT. I DROVE A FEW YARDS AND THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 25MPH EVEN THOUGH I WAS PUSHING ON THE ACCELERATOR. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS, BUT THE RPM'S WOULD NOT GO UP. I STOPPED AND PUT IT IN PARK, REVVED THE ENGINE, AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AGAIN. IT WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT A MILE UNTIL I PULLED UP TO A STOP LIGHT. AS THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I COULD NOT GET THE CAR TO GO OVER 25 MPH. (I WAS TURNING LEFT AT THE INTERSECTION, SO IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS THAT I COULD NOT GET THE CAR TO ACCELERATE AS I WAS FACING UPCOMING TRAFFIC.) I PULLED ONTO THE SHOULDER AND PUT IT IN PARK AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT THE ADDITIONAL MILE HOME BUT THANKFULLY DID NOT HAVE TO STOP AT A LIGHT AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP HAS RAN DIAGNOSTICS ON IT AND CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, BUT I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT AGAIN. *TR
I AM FILING A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY NISSAN 2013 PATHFINDER, THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR INDICATES THAT IT IS OFF WHEN MY 8 MONTH PREGNANT WIFE IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE TAKEN THIS TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP, BEAU TOWNSEND NISSAN IN VANDALIA, OHIO, TWICE AND THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID IT IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT UNLESS THE SENSOR ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAY SHOWS THE AIRBAG IS OFF. I HAVE BEEN CONCERNED ABOUT THIS FOR MY WIFE'S SAFETY BEING PREGNANT WHEN SHE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I FEEL THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND TAKEN CARE OF IMMEDIATELY. OVER THE PAST TWO MONTH I'VE HAD 4 INCIDENTS WHEN I STOP AT A LIGHT OR SIGN AND WHEN I HIT MY ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO START MOVING AGAIN NOTHING HAPPENS. SOMETIMES I LIFT MY FOOT OFF OF THE PEDAL AND THEM BACK AGAIN AND IT STARTS WORKING NORMALLY. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED, I HAD IT FOR 10 DAYS, I WAS DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED 10-15 MPH AND MY PATHFINDER STARTED JERKING. I THOUGHT I WAS DRIVING ON A BAD PART OR MY TIRE HAD BLOWN UP. VEHICLE JERKS/HESITATES WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE AFTER STOPPING AT STOP SIGN AND/OR RED LIGHT, GOING THROUGH A YIELD SIGN, AND WHEN MAKING TURNS.
WHILE OPENING THE DOOR TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE THE INTERNAL MECHANISM OF THE DOOR HANDLE STRIPPED AND BROKE, CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THIS TOOK A WEEK FOR NISSAN TO ORDER THE PARTS AND GET IT FIXED. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR MY FAMILY AND I , AS I COULD NOT EXIT THE VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 PATHFINDER AT SLOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WOULD LOSE POWER AND NOT ACCELERATE. IT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 10+ TIMES IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS. THE LATEST TIME I WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN YIELDING TO ON COMING TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE PATHFINDER WAS MOVING ABOUT 5-10 MPH. THE ONCOMING VEHICLE APPROACHING HAD TO SLAM ON THEIR BRAKES SO THEY DIDN'T HIT US (I HAD 6 KIDS IN THE CAR). THE PATHFINDER THEN KICKED IN AND STALLED AT THE FOLLOWING LIGHT AROUND 1/4 MILE DOWN THE ROAD. IT IS INTERMITTENT AND HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE. PATHFINDER IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER AND THEY SAY THAT THEY HAVE IT FIXED BY A BRAKE SWITCH REPLACEMENT. THE REGIONAL CONSUMER SPECIALIST FROM NISSAN NA ASSIGNED TO US STATED HE WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY ACCELERATION PROBLEMS AT ALL IN PATHFINDERS. *TR
LEFT FRONT INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE OFF. YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE POWER WINDOW HAS TO BE PUT DOWN, THEN YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, THEN REACH OUTSIDE THE CAR TO USE THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE TO GET OUT. *TR

MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED BY NISSAN FOR THE AIRBAG SENSOR FAILING TO RECOGNIZE WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER OCCUPYING THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX THE ERROR IN THE SENSOR. HOWEVER, AFTER THEY "FIXED THE PROBLEM," THE SENSOR CONTINUES TO INDICATE THERE IS NO PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHILE OCCUPIED, AND THE AIR BAG IS NOT TURNED ON. WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT THIS THE MOST RECENT TIME THE VEHICLE WAS IN FOR SERVICE AT THE DEALERSHIP (NISSAN OF OMAHA), THEY TOLD ME THAT THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN FIXED, AND EVEN IF IT INDICATES THE AIRBAG IS TURNED OFF, IT IS ACTUALLY ON. NOT ONLY DID THEY FAIL TO FIX THIS SAFETY PROBLEM, BUT THEY ALSO LIED ABOUT IT WORKING! THIS IS VERY DECEITFUL, AND COULD BE A MAJOR LIABILITY ISSUE AND LAWSUIT DOWN THE ROAD. *TR
WE HAVE TAKEN OUR 2013 PATHFINDER IN FOR BRAKE EVALUATION PRIOR TO THE EXPIRATION, AND JUST AFTER MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY RAN OUT. THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD INTERMITTENTLY STOP AT THE SPECIFIED PEDAL DISTANCE, AND THEN LOSE PRESSURE AND GO TO THE FLOOR. WE HAD THIS EVALUATED BY NISSAN, AND A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP TO WHICH WE WERE TOLD WE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE MASTER CYLINDER BY BOTH. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED, AND WE HAVE NO BEEN TOLD THIS IS POTENTIALLY A BRAKE BOOSTER ISSUE WHICH NISSAN HAS RECEIVED MANY COMPLAINTS ON YET HAS NOT REMEDIED THE SAFETY ISSUE. SO FAR WE HAVE SPENT OVER $600 WITH REPLACING BRAKES, ROTORS, MASTER CYLINDER, AND LABOR. NOT TO MENTION OVER 5 TRIPS TO GET EVALUATIONS AND REPAIRS.
2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER HESITATED (SHUDDER) WHEN I ACCELERATED THE VEHICLE FROM A STANDSTILL IN TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY. THE VEHICLE DID NOT MOVE FOR ABOUT 2-3 SECONDS. IT SOUNDED LIKE THE VEHICLES POWER JUST SHUT OFF. AFTER 2-3 SECONDS, THE VEHICLE THEN ACCELERATED. THIS HAPPENS EVERY SO OFTEN FROM A STANDSTILL/PAUSE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR IN TRAFFIC. I HAVE ADDRESSED THE PROBLEM TO MY NISSAN SERVICE DEALER. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. I TURNED THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER ON 12/30/14 DUE TO AN "IKEY ERROR CODE" ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE BODY CONTROL MODULE UNIT HAD TO BE REPLACED. TOO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. LUCKILY I STILL HAVE WARRANTY. DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMETHING MAJOR HAPPENS. *JS

ON SLOW ROAD COASTING BETWEEN 15-20MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND SHAKED FOR AROUND 3 SECONDS UNTIL ACCELERATED ABOVE 20 MPH. ON DEC 17, MADE THE SAME IN ANOTHER ROAD, SAME MPH. YESTERDAY 12/30 DID IT AGAIN. IN ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON THE DEALER, 12/26 INFORMED ABOUT THE TWO (2) FIRST EVENTS. THEY RECORDED IT ON THE JOB; THEY NEED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE MORE TIME IN ORDER TO REPRODUCE. IMO AT THIS TIME, WITH SO MANY OWNERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS SAME PROGRESSIVE DEFECT, IS NO NEED TO LEAVE A VEHICLE DAYS (AND OTHERS PUTTING MILEAGE ON IT) TO REPRODUCE THIS RANDOM PROBLEM IN ADDITION OF THE INCONVENIENCE OF BEING WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION. *JS
2013 NISSAN PATHFINDER ELECTRIC POWER WHEELS MAKES HIGH PITCH NOISE. IT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO ME CAUSING HEADACHES. THE NOISE IS VERY LOUD, I HAVE TO TURN ON THE CD OR RADIO. VEHICLE LOSES ACCELERATION UPON TAKE OFF. IT HAS HAPPENED VARIOUS TIMES BUT BASICALLY IF IM AT A LIGHT OR A COMPLETE STOP AND PRESS THE PEDAL TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR JERKS TO ACCELERATE THEN LOSES ACCELERATION COMPLETELY. IN ORDER FOR ME TO GET ACCELERATION BACK I HAVE TO PRESS THE BRAKES. IT ALSO HAPPENS AROUND 40MPH THE ACCELERATOR WONT WORK ANYMORE AND I JAVW TO BRAKE. IVE TAKEN MY CAR TO NISSAN AND THEY CAN NEVER DUPLICATE. ONE TIME I TOOK IT & THEY FOUND ANOTHER PROBLEM SO THEY REPLACED MY TRANSMISSION EVEN THEN ITS STILL HAPPENING.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR INTO A GRAVEL DRIVEWAY, I BRAKED ON THE PAVEMENT TO MAKE MY TURN, TURNING INTO THE GRAVEL DRIVEWAY, WHEN I PRESSED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW THE CAR, I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKES. THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I HAD TO QUICKLY TURN THE CAR TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND A BUILDING, AND HAD TO SLAM THE TRANSMISSION INTO PARK TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP, ADVISED THEM OF THE ISSUE, AS THEY WERE OVER AN HOUR AWAY, THEY SENT SOMEONE WITH A TRAILER TO COME PICK UP THE CAR. DURING THIS TIME, I ALSO ADVISED THEM OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON WHILE I HAD A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT, STATING THAT THE AIRBAG WAS OFF. MY PASSENGER WAS MY TEENAGE SON, WEIGHING OVER 120 LBS. I ALSO HAD MY HUSBAND IN THE SEAT, OVER 250 LBS, THE LIGHT STILL CAME ON. NISSAN STATED THIS WAS ALL DUE TO A COMPUTER ISSUE, THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER CAR AS I WAS WITHOUT MY CAR FOR OVER 1 WEEK. THEY EVEN TRIED TO SELL ME THE LOANER CAR, THIS SHOULD TELL A PERSON SOMETHING RIGHT?? I HAVE HAD WEATHER STRIPPING COME OFF MY CAR WHILE I AM DRIVING, AROUND THE DRIVER SIDE ROOF, PAINT IS PEELING ON THE REAR BUMPER, SOMETIMES THE CAR WON'T RECOGNIZE MY KEY FOB TO START, STATING INCORRECT KEY ID. THE CAR STALLS, HESITATES, SMOKES, TRANSMISSION "JERKS", LIKE IT WANTS TO GIVE UP, THE AC DOES NOT BLOW COLD AIR, SOMETIMES ITS EVEN WARM. I WILL NOT LET ANYONE DRIVE MY CAR FOR FEAR THAT IT WILL STALL OUT OR NOT STOP. SOMETIMES, WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE, OR IT HESITATES TO MOVE. I HAVE ANOTHER RECALL TO HAVE REPAIRED, THE HOOD LATCH...WITH THE DEALERSHIP OVER AN HOUR AWAY, WORKING FULL TIME, THEY ONLY REPAIR RECALLS DURING THE WEEK, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO HAVE IT FIXED, WHEN THE HOOD LATCH FAILS AND I WRECK? SERIOUSLY, RECALL THE VEHICLE, IT HAS SO MANY SAFETY RECALLS, ITS JUST NOT SAFE.
