I START DRIVING VERY SLOW OUT OF PARKING SPACE WHEN THE CAR ACCELERATE BY ITSELF, REACHING HIGH SPEED WITHIN SECONDS, THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK AT ALL,FOOT PEDAL OR EMERGENCY BRAKE. IT SEEMS THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS STUCK. MY FOOT WAS NOT IN THE ACCELERATOR BUT CAR CONTINUE INCREASING SPEED. I HAVE NO CHOICE TO COLLIDE AGAINST ANOTHER PARKED CAR AND HITTING A WALL WHERE FINALLY THE CAR STOP. EVEN WHEN THE CAR GOT TO STOP AGAINST THE WALL, THE ENGINE CONTINUE RUNNING ACCELERATED UNTIL I FINALLY SHUT OFF THE ENGINE.
THE CONSUMER'S DAUGHTER OPENED THE SLIDING DOOR OF THE 2000 QUEST INTENDING TO CLIMB INSIDE. THE HEAVY SLIDING DOOR FELL DOWN AND OUTWARD TOWARDS THE PASSENGER ALMOST INJURING HER. *TS ***NAR*** THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIR WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD OVER 100,000 MILES ON IT. *NM
WHILE TRAVELING THE LEFT PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR FELL OFF. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO RETRIEVE THE DOOR BY CALLING ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. THEN, DROVE IT TO THE DEALER, AND THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE RIGHT SIDE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. *AK *SC *JB
THE SLIDING DOOR'S TOP PINS CAME OFF THE TRACK, WHICH RESULTED IN THE PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR DANGLING. ONLY THE BOTTOM HINGE WAS KEEPING THE DOOR ATTACHED TO VAN. *MR WHEN OPENED, THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR CAME OUT OF THE TOP TRACKS, LEAVING THE DOOR SUSPENDED ONLY BY THE BOTTOM SLIDING HINGE. THIS WAS WITHOUT WARNING, HOWEVER, THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR HAD BEEN EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS OF TROUBLE WITH OPENING. THE ROLLERS IN THE TOP TRACKS HAD APPARENTLY BROKEN OFF THE PINS. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT OF THE AMOUNT OF THE REPAIR COST. OTHER PROBLEMS: THE RADIO DISPLY WAS INOPERATIVE. *SC *JB
WHEN TRYING TO OPEN BOTH SLIDING DOORS THEY WOULD NOT OPEN COMPLETELY. OWNER MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEALERSHIP. *AK
MY NISSAN QUEST(2000 MODEL) HAD PAINT CHIPS ON THE HOOD AFTER A YEAR WHEN THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. WHEN WE RELATED THE PROBLEM TO THE DEALER THE COMPANY INSPECTOR CAME OUT TO TELL US THE CAR WAS JUST REPAINTED AND SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A RECORD THAT THE CAR WAS REPAINTED! I WAS SO OUTRAGED THAT THEY HAD THE GALL TO LIE TO ME! BASICALLY THE CAR'S PAINT WAS MARRED AND IT WASN'T EVEN TEN YEARS AFTER THE CAR WAS BOUGHT, AND THEY STILL DID NOTHING. I WISH TO WARN OTHER NISSAN DRIVERS THAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS UNRELIABLE AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON. THAT IS ALL.*AK
WE HAVE A 2000 NISSAN QUEST MINIVAN. WE HAVE ELECTRONIC REMOTES TO LOCK/UNLOCK THE DOORS. OUR 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, JENNA, HAD HER FINGERS ACCIDENTLY SLAMMED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THERESA, THE MOM, WAS INSIDE THE CAR & TRIED TO OPEN THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR TO FREE JENNA'S FINGERS. EVERY TIME THERESA TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR, ALL THE DOORS ON THE VAN WOULD LOCK & THE LIGHTS WOULD FLASH. FINALLY, TONY, THE DAD, WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE AND FREE JENNA'S FINGERS.*AK
TAILGATE WAS IN THE UP POSITION FOR A FEW MINUTES WHEN IT SUDDENLY CAME CRASHING DOWN. RIGHT SIDE METAL ARM ATTACHED TO LIFT GATE HAD SNAPPED AND WAS BENT. NO INJURIES. *AK
