ON JANUARY 23, 2015 THERE WAS A RECALL OF MY VEHICLE. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED BY MY DEALER OF THE RECALL. I JUST SAW IT TODAY WHEN CHECKING MY CREDIT KARMA ACCOUNT. MY NISSAN DEALERSHIP SHOULD HAVE INSPECTED THE KICK PANEL WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR ON MY CAR FOR DAMAGE. IF NO DAMAGE WAS DETECTED, MY VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A WATERPROOF SEAL FOR THE HARNESS. IF DAMAGE WAS FOUND, THE DEALER WAS TO INSTALL A NEW HARNESS CONNECTOR AND THE WATERPROOF SEAL.
THE FUEL GUAGE IS JUMPING AROUND. I HAVE READ DOZENS AND DOZENS OF ISSUES WITH THIS SAME THING WITHOUT ANY REAL RESOLUTION. *TR
I FILLED UP MY GAS TANK. TURNED THE GAS CAP UNTIL IT CLICKED AND DROVE AWAY. A FEW DAYS LATER MY CAR GIVES ME A WARNING THAT MY GAS CAP ISN'T TIGHT. I TIGHTEN THE GAS CAP HOWEVER THE WARNING KEEPS POPPING UP WHEN I START MY CAR. THE WARNING EVENTUALLY GOES AWAY BUT MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. I BUY A REPLACEMENT GAS CAP FROM THE PARTS STORE HOWEVER THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS DOES NOT GO AWAY. A FE DAYS LATER THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNED OFF. EVERYTHING IS FINE I GO TO GET GAS AND TIGHTEN MY GAS CAP. A FEW DAYS LATER THE GAS CAP LIGHT WARNING SIGN COMES ON AGAIN. THE ENGINE LIGHT FOLLOWS A FEW DAYS LATER. I TAKE THE CAR TO THE AUTO MECHANIC SHOP AND HE TELLS ME I NEED AN AUTHENTIC NISSAN GAS CAP. HE ORDERS ONE AND PUTS IT ON AND RESET THE ENGINE LIGHT. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY CAR. I RIDE AROUND A FEW DAYS AND THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYS OFF. I GO TO HAVE MY CAR INSPECTED BY THE STATE FOR THE EMISSIONS TEST EVERYTHING IS FINE. A FEW DAYS LATER MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. I TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT MECHANIC SHOP AND HAVE THEM TEST THE CAR. THEY TELL ME THE READ OUT SAYS IT'S A SLOW LEAK FROM THE GAS CAP. HE TIGHTEN THE GAS CAP AND RESET THE ENGINE LIGHT. A FEW DAYS LATER THE I RECEIVE A WARNING SIGN ABOUT THE GAS CAP AND THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THE GAS CAP WARNING AND ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON AND GOING OFF FOR OVER FOUR YEARS NOW. BOTH MECHANICS TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINE IS NOT RECOGNIZING THE GAS CAP. IT'S AN AUTHENTIC NISSAN GAS CAP I PURCHASED EARLIER THIS YEAR. ONE MECHANIC TOLD ME NISSAN HAS A BULLETIN OUT ABOUT THE GAS CAP BUT HAS NOT COMPLETED A RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND THE IGNITION KEY DID NOT WORK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE "NOT DETECTING THE KEY" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING AND UNABLE TO KEEP UP WITH TRAFFIC. WAS FORCED TO MOVE VEHICLE OFF ROADWAY. BEHAVED LIKE NOT GETTING ENOUGH GASOLINE. TO RESTORE BACK TO NORMAL, HAD TO SHUT ENGINE OFF AND RESTART ENGINE. WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE NORMAL WITH NO EXCESSIVE TEMP. OR HUMIDITY. ROADWAY WAS FLAT AND EVEN.
I WAS TRAVELING ON A BLACKTOP ROAD WITH A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MY VEHICLE ABOUT 4 CAR LENGTHS AHEAD. I HAD TO SUDDENLY STOP TO AVOID A DEER ON MY RIGHT SIDE. I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WHICH WAS TURNING LEFT BUT HAD NO BLINKER LIGHTS OR BRAKE SHOWING . AIR BAG ON STEERING WHEEL DID NOT DEPLOY UNTIL AFTER THE CAR STOPPED AND I WAS GETTING OUT OF VEHICLE. AS I WAS PULLING ONTO FREEWAY AROUND 55-60 MPH, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG BLINKS ON AND OFF. IT DOES THIS CONTINUALLY. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF IGNITION OF VEHICLE FOR OVER 15 MINUTES. ONCE I STARTED VEHICLE AGAIN, SAME THING. *TR
1ST ELECTRICAL PROBLEM STARTED WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WHEN ON VACATION AUGUST 2014. NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM AND RADIO WOULD NOT WORK. STEERING WHEEL IF SHARP TURN MADE A LOUD NOISE. HAPPENED FOR 1 DAY AND THEN EVERTHING WORKED AGAIN. 9/24/14 MY NISSAN ROGUE 2013 WAS NOW COMPLETELY DEAD AND HAD TO MANUALLY UNLOCK DOOR. CALLED AAA WHO JUMP STARTED VEHICLE AND STATED REPLACING BATTERY WOULD NOT SOLVE PROBLEM. THE AAA MECHANIC STATED THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM....SOMETHING CONTINUED TO DRAIN THE BATTERY EVEN AFTER THE JUMP START. BROUGHT TO COASTAL NISSAN WHERE I WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE TESTED FINE AND DID NOT HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. NEVER WAS I INFORMED THERE ARE COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND THE ROGUE NOT STARTING. MY VEHICLE IS ALMOST AT THE END OF ITS WARRANTY. 10/21/14 COMING OUT OF THE GARAGE LATE LAST NIGHT WHEN MAKING SHARP TURNS THE STEERING WHEEL MAKE LOUD NOISES. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT GO UP. THIS MORNING THE VEHICLE MADE A CLICKING NOISE BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. THE DRIVERS' SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP OR DOWN ALTHOUGH THE LIGHTS AND OTHER WINDOWS WORK. DECLINED AAA JUMPSTART SINCE THIS HAS BEEN INTERMITTENT AND I NEEDED COASTAL NISSAN TO NOT BE ABLE TO DENY ANY PROBLEM. AFTER CHECKING ON LINE IT APPEARS MANY OTHER NISSAN OWNERS ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE AN AGENCY LIKE YOUR'S TO ENSURE OTHERS ARE AWARE OF SAFETY ISSUES AND DEFECTS IN VEHICLES. I ALSO CONTACTED THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS AT NISSAN PER THE EMAILS I SAW FROM OTHER OWNERS. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEM JUST HAVE VEHICLE TOWED SO NISSAN CANNOT DENY A PROBLEM OR FAIL TO ADDRESS AND FIX IT. *TR

TRAVELING FROM NY TO PA 2 HR TRIP 112MILES 287S TO I78W ALL HIGHWAY SPEED LIMIT 65MPH TRAVEL 70MPH TOWARD THE END OF THE TRIP LOST ALL POWER PEDAL TO FLOOR TRANSMISSION WHINING HAD TO PULL OVER FROM THE LEFT LANE OVER TO THE RIGHT LANE SHOULDER WITH OUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT, WENT TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND NOTICED WHITE SMOKE COMING FORM THE DIP STICK FLUID SEEM TO BE OK, LET IT COOL DOWN FOR ABOUT 15MIN STARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT RAN LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED GOT TO MY DESTINATION WEIRD COMING HAD NO PROBLEM, SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON SEPT. 6, 2014 AND THEY FOUND THE NOISE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION AS WELL AS AN ABS CODE IN THE SYSTEM C1106 CLEARED THE CODE ROAD TESTED THE VEHICLE SAID VEHICLE WAS NORMAL, OTHER PROBLEMS FOUND WERE MID EXHAUST CAT REPLACED AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL COUPLER REPLACED, THIS IS PART 1 OF 3. *TR
I PULLED OUT ONTO ROUTE 125 IN PLAISTOW, NH AT A SET OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND THERE WERE CARS COMING UP QUICK BEHIND ME WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I WENT OVER THE DRAINAGE IN THE ROAD I LOST ALL POWER AND STARTED SLOWING DOWN I HAD NO CONTROL OF MY GAS PEDAL, MY CAR WOULDN'T GO IT WAS JUST SLOWING DOWN FAST. IT WAS SCARY I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED. WHEN THIS HAPPENED I NOTICED MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT LIT UP BLINKING. I HAVE READ MANY HORROR STORIES ABOUT SIMILAR SITUATIONS AND NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CANT REPLICATE IT SO WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I COULD HAVE BEEN HIT HARD BC I WAS JUST GOING ALONG WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR PRETTY MUCH ALMOST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, NO BRAKES, NOTHING. THE DEALER HAS OFFERED TO TAKE MY CAR FOR A PERIOD OF TIME TO DRIVE AND GIVE ME ONE IN THE MEANTIME TO TRY AND SEE IF THEY CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS SERIOUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN IN FAST MOVING TRAFFIC AND THIS WAS TO HAPPEN TO ME OR ANYONE WITH THIS CAR AGAIN. *TR
On June 25, 2013, I purchased a 2013 Rogue. Within 17 months I experienced transmission problems. I had 2 mechanics test drive the Rogue and both said to bring the vehicle back to the dealership and have the transmission checked - which I did. The dealer said he saw no problem, but the vehicle kept making noise and hesitated to accelerate and I kept complaining to the dealer (East Coast Nissan) located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, who has now been out of business for a few years. I went to Riverside Nissan in Hackensack, NJ. All I got from the dealership was they would do a maintenance check and if there was a problem it would show up. They found nothing wrong. I took the vehicle to my mechanic, and he said to bring it back to the dealer. Now, after almost 10 years of owning the Rogue, Riverside Nissan found what I have been complaining about for over 9 years. The problem took a week to find because the problem was sporadic. I should not have to pay the charges for repairs because the problem has occurred many times over the last 9 years. I have attached the e-mail from Riverside Nissan showing what is wrong with my Rogue. The vehicle has only approximately 60,000 miles (6,000 to 7,000 a year) and has been continually maintained so I should not have had a problem except my Rogue had faulty parts from the start and the repair should be covered by Nissan.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED PASSENGER SIDE WITHOUT AN OUTSIDE OBJECT COMING IN CONTACT WITH THE VECHICLE. *TR
THE GAS FILL LINE IN THE RIGHT WHEEL WELL IS NOT COVERED COMPLETELY FROM ROCKS THROWN UP BY TIRE THE CAR SHOULD COME FROM THE FACTORY ALL COVERED. *TR
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT KEEP GOING ON AND OFF WHILE ON A TRIP 150 MILES AWAY FROM HOME. CALLED THE DEALER SERVICE DEPT. AND THEY SAID THEY COULD LOWER THE SENSOR TO RECOGNIZE ME (104 LBS) TO MAKE AN APPT. CALLED ON 7/21/14 TO SCHEDULE APT AND WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE ELSE THAT IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW TO LOWER THE WEIGHT SENSORS AND THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. DANGEROUS AND RIDICULOUS. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. FEELS LIKE AND SEEMS AS IF MY CAR GOES INTO CRUISE CONTROL BY ITSELF. I LOSE RPMS AND CANNOT ACCELERATE UNTIL I SLIGHTLY BRAKE THEN GO AND ACCELERATE. NO LIGHTS ARE COMING ON, AND I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALER WITH NO RESULT. THEY TRIED TESTING IT AND RECREATING, BUT NO OUTCOME. *TR
THE INTERIOR HANDLE ON THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR DOES NOT ALLOW THE DOOR TO BE OPENED; THE DOOR CAN ONLY BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. THERE IS A COMPONENT ON THE INSIDE (HIDDEN WHEN LOOKING AT THE DOOR HANDLE) THAT IS BROKEN. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE IN AN EMERGENCY, AS THE BACKSEAT PASSENGER MUST RELY ON SOMEONE TO OPEN THEIR DOOR IN ORDER TO EXIT THE CAR. THE HANDLE OPENED UNTIL ABOUT A YEAR OF USE; WE WERE IN PARK, THE ENGINE WAS OFF, AND WE REALIZED THE REAR DOOR COULDN'T BE OPENED FROM THE INTERIOR. EVER SINCE, THIS DOOR CAN ONLY BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. THE DOOR HANDLE HAS NOT BEEN ABUSED; THIS RESULTED FROM NORMAL USE.
FIRST INCIDENT:WHILE TRAVELING ON THE FREEWAY AT 70MPH(NO USE OF CRUISE CONTROL) GOING UP A STEEP HILL THE CAR SUDDENLY LOST POWER EVEN WITH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR.FORTUNATELY WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOUDER AND STOP THE CAR,AFTER 15 MINUTES THE CAR STARTED AND WE DROVE HOME WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. SECOND INCIDENT:DRIVING FROM CA TO AZ FOR FAMILY WEDDING ON 04/28/2015 AFTER DRIVING FOR APPROX. 3 HOURS USING PERIODIC CRUISE CONTROL (CRUISE CONTROL NOT ON DURING INCIDENT) AND AGAIN DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT 75MPH ON LEVEL GROUND ENGINE LOST POWER AND BEGAN DECELERATING QUICKLY, NOT RESPONDING TO GAS PEDAL( WHICH WAS FLOORED) ENGINE NOT REEVING AT ALL. LUCKY AGAIN TURNED ON HAZARD LIGHTS AVOIDED NEAR COLLISON PULLED OVER ON SHOULDER, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WAITED.TWENTY MINUTES LATER TURNED CAR ON AND CONTINUED TRAVELING. THIRD INCIDENT: EXACTLY THE SAME AS SECOND INCIDENT ONLY HAPPENED ON THE WAY HOME ON MAY 4TH 2015. FOURTH INCIDENT: JUNE 12 2015 WHILE TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY IN A MOUNTAINOUS REGION DRIVING AT 50MPH CAR AGAIN LOST ALL ENIGN POWER(SEE ABOVE INCIDENTS)WITH SAME RESULTS.DURING ALL INCIDENTS THE WEATHER WAS HOT TEMPERATURE WAS AT LEAST 90 DEGREES. THIS IS THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM THAT WAS ADMITTED BY NISSAN FOR PREVIOUS YEARS ; HOT WEATHER, HILLS ETC CAUSING CAR TO GO TO "FAIL SAFE MODE" AND IT IS BEING REPORTED BY NISSAN CAR OWNERS PAST THE RECALL DATES OF 2010. PLEASE DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED.
I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW IN MAY,2013 AND AFTER A WHILE I NOTICED THAT IT WAS MAKING A WEIRD NOISE WHEN GOING AT HIGH SPEED. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT IT AT EVERY SERVICE, AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOTHING, OR THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE IT. IN FEB 2015 I TOOK IT AGAIN AND ASKED THEM TO ADDRESS IT SERIOUSLY, THEY CLAIMED THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE IT BUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS OVER FULL AND THEY FIXED THAT. THEY ALSO SAID THERE WERE SOME TUBES CRACKED AND THEY REPLACED THEM... NOW MY CAR MAKES THE NOISE A LOT MORE, IT IS NOT ALL THE TIME BUT WHEN IT DOES IT IS LOUD AND SCARY. I CONTACTED NISSAN USA AND IT HAS BEEN HARD COMMUNICATING WITH THEM AND I THINK MY CAR IS UNSAFE AND MIGHT BE A LEMON. *TR
MY FATHER WAS HIT WHILE DRIVING HIS 2013 ROGUE WHILE TURNING LEFT. ONCOMING CAR HIT RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE SO HARD THE BATTERY OF THE ROGUE WAS FOUND TWO BLOCKS AWAY. THE CAR WAS TOTALED. MY MOTHER WAS SITTING BEHIND MY FATHER ON THE DRIVER SIDE BACK SEAT. NEITHER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. BOTH SUSTAINED MULTIPLE INJURIES. MY FATHER DIED AS A RESULT. ..UPDATED 12/11/17 *BF *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD RATTLING SOUND IN THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WERE 4,175.
THIS IS NOT AN INCIDENT REPORT, BUT RATHER A GENERAL INQUIRY AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THERE HAVE BEEN AN UNUSUALLY LARGE NUMBER OF CRACKED WINDSHIELDS REPORTED BY OTHER NISSAN OWNERS OR REPAIRMEN. THE NEW NISSAN I PURCHASED APPEARS TO HAVE A WINDSHIELD DESIGN THAT LENDS ITSELF TO STRESS CRACKS EASILY! THIS VEHICLE IS NOT YET 7 MONTHS OLD AND YET THE WINDSHIELD WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT HAS CRACKS THAT RADIATED OUTWARD FROM TINY PECKS THAT APPARENTLY WERE CAUSED BY PEBBLES FLUNG FROM THE ROAD SURFACE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE OWNED A VEHICLE THAT CANNOT SUSTAIN A "BULLS EYE" OR "STAR CRACK" AND THE CRACK IS CONTAINED UNTIL I CAN GET IT TO A WINDSHIELD PLACE TO HAVE THE DENT FILLED. COULD THIS BE BECAUSE NISSAN HAS LOWERED THE STRESS FACTOR OR SOMETHING ON THE PRODUCTION OF THIS SAFETY GLASS? IS THE WINDSHIELD UNDER A LOT OF STRESS BECAUSE OF THE CURVATURE OR DESIGN ON THIS MODEL? WILL THIS LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC FAILURE?? *TR
ON APRIL 24, 2014, I WAS A VICTIM IN COLLISION WHEREFORE THE FRONTAL AND BACK AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *TR
PASSENGER 2 AIRBAG LIGHT AT TIMES DOES NOT REGISTER WHEN MY 74 LB DAUGHTER IS SITTING IN THE SEAT BUT IT WILL REGISTER IF MY PURSE IS IN THE SEAT. AT TIMES IT WILL FLASH ON AND OFF THEN STAY OFF. YESTERDAY 5/6/14 I RAN ERRANDS THEN WHEN I WENT TO GET MY DAUGHTER FROM SCHOOL. THE CHECK ENGINE (MALFUNCTION INDICATION LIGHT AS CALLED IN VEHICLE BOOK) CAME ON. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AUTO ZONE AND THE TEST SHOWS ITS THE OXYGEN SENSOR. WAS ADVISED TO CHECK UPSTREAM & DOWNSTREAM SENSORS AS WELL AS CATALYTIC CONVERTER SINCE THESE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO IT AS WELL. I SHOULD MENTION THE EMPLOYEE TELLING ME THIS BUILT NISSAN VEHICLES FOR 23 YRS. TODAY I HAVE AN APPT AT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. I'VE ONLY HAD THIS VEHICLE 3 MONTHS = NOT HAPPY. *TR

WHILE TRAVELING WITH AN 85 POUND PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE FOR APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MINUTES INDICATING THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS "OFF". IT WILL THEN FLICKER BACK ON AND OFF AGAIN. THE PASSENGER IS NOT MOVING AROUND IN THE SEAT, AND SEATBELT IS USE PROPERLY. I TESTED MY THEORY THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS MALFUNCTIONING BY HAVING A 50 POUND CHILD SIT IN THE SEAT, WITHOUT MOVEMENT, WHILE THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. THE LIGHT CAME ON, AGAIN INDICATING THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WAS "OFF" AND THEN WITHIN 2-3 MINUTES FLICKERED BACK INTO THE "ON" SETTING INDICATING THAT IT WOULD DEPLOY IF IN A WRECK. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP TO ASK OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION AND ALTHOUGH THEY DIDN'T KNOW THE INFORMATION OFF HAND, I AM TO TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE. *TR

THE 2013 NISSAN ROGUE I WAS DRIVING WAS STRUCK A GLANCING BLOW STARTING FROM THE CENTER FRONT THROUGH THE DRIVER'S FRONT LEFT QUARTER PANEL AND DOOR. THE FRONTAL IMPACT WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO BREAK THE FRONT SUPPORT EXTRUDED STEEL BRACE IN THREE PLACES AND DECIMATE THE GRILL, LIGHT, BUMPER, QUARTER PANEL AND DOOR SKIN. THERE ARE TWO PROBLEMS I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT. ONE THE SIDE IMPACT AND SEAT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT ALL; HOWEVER THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID DEPLOY SLOWLY AFTER THE IMPACT. IT DID NOT COMPLETELY DEPLOY UNTIL AFTER I EXITED THE VEHICLE. THE SECOND ISSUE IS THAT WHILE THE SEAT BELT PREVENTED ME FROM GOING THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD, THE MECHANISM IN THE SEATBELT IS ALSO DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE THAT STRUCK ME HAD THEIR AIR BAGS TO FULLY DEPLOY. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AS I UNDERSTAND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2011 - 2012 MODELS. WHEN DRIVING UPHILL THE VEHICLE ALMOST STALLS AND ACTS LIKE IT IS NOT GETTING FUEL, IT SLOWS DRAMATICALLY AND TAKES AWHILE TO RECOVER POWER. I CANNOT ACCELERATE. IF THERE IS A VEHICLE BEHIND ME, IT GETS VERY CLOSE, VERY FAST. THIS HAPPENS ON REGULAR BLACK TOP ROADS AND DIRT ROADS.THIS VEHICLE ALSO POPS OUT OF GEAR WHILE DRIVING ON ROUGH DIRT ROADS AND UPHILL (I LIVE ON A DIRT ROAD). THIS IS NOT "OFF ROAD DRIVING." STARTED TO GET A CLICKING NOISE IN STEERING WHEEL WHEN TURNING TO LEFT OR RIGHT. STARTED HAPPENING AROUND 16,000 MILES. TOOK IN TO A NISSAN SERVICE CENTER TO HAVE CHECKED. THE RESPONSE WAS THAT NISSAN CORP. WOULD NOT ALLOW SERVICE CENTER TO "JUST REPLACE PARTS". DEALER TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO? DON'T BE CONCERNED. I HAVE A VERY UNEASY FEEL WHEN DRIVING THE CAR. WAITING FOR THE CLICKING TO BECOME AND ISSUE IN CONTROLLING THE STEERING OF THE CAR. WHILE DRIVING IN TEMPERATURES UNDER 40 DEGREES THE INTERIOR WINDOWS FOG WITHIN MINUTES OF BEING IN THE CAR WHEN THE HEAT IS ON. TURNING ON DEFROST AND OPENING THE WINDOWS DOES NOT HELP. I'VE HAD TO PULL OVER NUMEROUS TIMES TO PREVENT A CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE VISIBILITY IS SO BAD. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WORSE AT NIGHT, BUT DOES HAPPEN DURING THE DAY TOO. WHEN THE WINDOWS APPEAR TO BE CLEAR AND THE CAR IS LEFT OUTSIDE FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES, WHATEVER MOISTURE IS LEFT IN THE CAR FREEZES TO THE INSIDE OF ALL THE WINDOWS CREATING A LAYER OF ICE. IT HAS TAKEN WELL OVER 30 MINUTES AND EVEN CLOSE TO AN HOUR TO GET IT TO CLEAR ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE. BUT ONCE YOU BEGIN DRIVING AGAIN THE FOG ALMOST IMMEDIATELY RETURNS. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN UNEXPLAINABLE MOISTURE IN THE CARPETS AS WELL AS IN THE SPARE TIRE COMPARTMENT. DURING A 3 HOUR CAR TRIP THERE WAS A LAYER OF ICE ON ALL THE WINDOWS THAT NEVER CLEARED THE ENTIRE TIME, DESPITE THE CAR BEING WARM, DEFROST ON, AND IT BEING SUNNY WEATHER. EACH TIME I STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE ENGINE SOUNDED FUNNY. TODAY, THE NISSAN DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM IN THE TRANSMISSION THAT THEY CAN'T REPAIR. NISSAN USA IS REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRANTY. I FIND THIS OUTRAGEOUS THAT A NEWLY PURCHASED CAR OF 5 MONTHS WITH LESS THAN 5, 000 MILES HAS A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. *TR

WHILE I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE SHOP FOR AN AIRBAG ISSUE I AM HAVING. THE LOANER CAR WHICH IS THE 2013 NISSAN ROGUE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. THE DATE AND SPEED ENTERED ARE AVERAGES, BECAUSE OF MULTIPLE EVENTS AT VARIOUS TIMES AND CIRCUMSTANCES. I SELDOM KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE BECAUSE THE GAUGE GOES UP AND DOWN WITHOUT EXPLANATION. SINCE I DON'T DRIVE A LOT I CAN JUST KEEP TRACK OF THE AMOUNT I PUT IN THE TANK AND FILL UP WHEN I THINK I SHOULD. TODAY AS AN EXAMPLE, MY GAUGE SHOWED 1/2 TANK. I SAT IN A PARKING LOT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING WHILE WAITING FOR A FRIEND TO FINISH AN ERRAND. DURING THAT 10 MINUTES, THE GAS GAUGE WENT UP BY ABOUT 1/8 OF A TANK. THIS WAS SITTING ON LEVEL GROUND IN A PLAZA PARKING LOT, SO NO SLANT TO THE TANK TO GIVE A FALSE READING. SO FAR I HAVE HAD NO SERIOUS ISSUES, BUT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM ON OXYGEN, I COULD BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE IF I HAD TO WAIT A LONG TIME FOR HELP. *TR
