IF CAR IS IN DRIVE BUT STATIONARY (LIKE IN A TRAFFIC LIGHT), THE ENGINE STARTS TO VIBRATE SUBSTANTIALLY FORCING THE DRIVER TO SHIFT TO NEUTRAL. BY DOING THE ABOVE THE CAR CAN MOVE BACKWARD IMPACTING OTHER VEHICLES, CARS ETC.
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE WITH CRUISE SET ON 74 WITHOUT WARNING CAR STARTED TO DECELERATE PUSHED PEDAL TO THE FLOOR RPMS WENT UP BUT CAR WOULD NOT GO LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO SIDE OF ROAD, GAGES SHOWED NORMAL. TURNED ENGINE OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES TRIED TO MERGE BACK INTO TRAFFIC BUT CAR WOULD NOT MOVE, AFTER SITTING ON HIGHWAY IN OVER 98 DEGREE HEAT IN SOUTH MISS OVER AN HOUR THE CAR MOVED BUT WOULD NOT GO OVER 60 MPH TOOK SEVERAL HOURS OF HAVING TO STOP AFTER SO MANY MILES AND LETTING IT COOL OFF I FINALLY MADE IT HOME. TURNED A NORMAL 45 MINUTE PLESANT DRIVE INTO A 4 HOUR NIGHTMARE. IT HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE SO I AM PAYING A NOTE ON A CAR I CANNOT USE WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT WHICH IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI IS MOST OF THE YEAR. CAN NOT AFFORD TO TAKE TO A MECHANIC BUT I HAVE RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM HOWEVER AND FOUND OUT IT IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR CAR.
CAR HAS BEEN LOSING POWER SINCE 70,000 MILES. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY, CAR WILL SUDDENLY LOSE ACCELERATION ALTHOUGH YOU ARE PRESSING ON THE GAS. MULTIPLE TIMES AT STOPLIGHTS, STOP SIGNS, ETC. YOU CAN PUSH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR WILL BARELY MOVE. SEVERAL TIMES UPON PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC CAR HAS DECELERATED. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH MY CHILD AND IT.
I'VE OWNED THE CAR ABOUT A YEAR. IT HAS 77,000 MILES ON IT. RECENTLY THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEGUNH TO FAIL WHEN ENCOUNTERING THE SLIGHTEST OF INCLINED SLOPES ON THE HIGHWAY. IT WILL SUDDENLY DROP OUT OF CRUISE CONTROL AND LOSE ABOUT 10MPH, DROPPING TO AROUND 60 MPH. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED, I LEFT THE HIGHWAY, STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE UNTIL I CHANGED TO LOW GEAR. MY ALLISON TRANSMISSION GUY TELLS ME HE'S REPLACED A LOT OF THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND THEY HAVE THE POOREST WARRANTY OF ANY TRANSMISSION, ONLY 1 YEAR OR 12,000 MILES. HE SAID I PROBABLY WOULD NOT GET ANOTHER 77,000 MILES EVEN WITH A NEW TRANSMISSION.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, MY ROGUE STARTED SLOWING DOWN WITH NO WARNING. I WAS DOING 70 MPH AND ON CRUISE CONTROL. THE RPMS WENT TO 4000 AND I TOOK IT OFF CRUISE AND PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR BUT IT KEPT GETTING SLOWER. I WAS LUCKY TO WORK MY WAY TO THE RIGHT AND GET OFF THE INTERSTATE BUT HAD TO STOP AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RAMP. AS I PRESSED THE GAS TO GO , I COULD NOT MOVE AND WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED. I HAD THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR BUT STILL IT WOULDN'T GO THEN FINALLY TOOK OFF ROUGHLY. I TURNED IT OFF AT THE GAS STATION THEN RESTARTED IT AND TRIED THE GAS. IT WAS A LITTLE HESITANT BUT IT EVENED OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. MY ROGUE HAS 56000 MILES ON IT. I BOUGHT IT WITH UNDER 20000
2013 NISSAN ROGUE TRANSMISSION NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN MAIN STREET MY ROGUE I IMMEDIATELY LOST THE MAJORITY OF MY ACCELERATION AND WAS FORCED INTO THE BUS LANE TO KEEP FROM THE VEHICLES BEHIND ME FROM REAR ENDING ME. UPON RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE ITS CLEAR THE NISSAN HAS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THEIR CVT TRANSMISSION DESIGN AND THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE LOST NEARLY ALL ACCELERATION ON THE HIGHWAYS AND IN OTHER DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENTS. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW BY NISSAN AND NEEDS A RECALL TO PROTECT THE CONSUMERS DRIVING WITH SINCERELY YOUNG TRANSMISSIONS THAT ARE FAULTY AND DANGEROUS WHEN ON PUBLIC ROADS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, VEHICLE LOOSES ACCELERATION. WILL NOT ACCELERATE EVEN WITH GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOUR CAR DROPS TO 40-50 MPH IN A 70 MPH ZONE.
TAKATA RECALL. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AFTER AN HOUR THE CAR LOST POWER AND WON'T GO ANY FASTER AND STARTS TO SHAKE AS THE GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR. NO POWER UP HILL AND THIS VEHICLE PROBLEM SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY AS IT COULD LEAVE THE DRIVER STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ON A LONG TRIP.
WHEN I DRIVE OVER 60MILES OVER 30 MINUTES ENGINE SOUND DIFFERENT AFTER THAT I MADE STOP ON STOP SIGN CAR IS NOT MOVING FOR 1 OR 2 MINUTES. THIS HAPPEN SINCE I BOUGHT NEW CAR FROM NISSAN FILLER. WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY OR CITY ROAD, THE CAR LOOSE ACCELERATION, I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND WAIT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE THEN START DRIVING AGAIN AND IT SEEMS OK UNTIL I SLOW DOWN DUE TO TRAFFIC OR TURN AT CORNER, THE CAR LOOSE ACCELERATION. THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON ALTHOUGH THE CAR WAS TURN OFF. I HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION EVEN WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD IT TOWED TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO THE DEALER (NISSAN OF SILSBEE, 3490 HIGHWAY 96 BYPASS, SILSBEE, TEXAS 77656) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE CAUSED BY METAL SHAVINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
VEHICLE HAS 87000 MILES ON IT AND FOR THE LAST YEAR (SINCE 67000) IT WILL RANDOMLY LOOSE POWER, OFTEN ON THE HIGHWAY CAUSING A DANGEROUS SITUATION. WE HAVE BEEN STRANDED TWICE 4+ HOURS FROM HOME ON THE WEEKEND. THIS WAS AN OFFICIAL RECALL FROM NISSAN ON PRIOR YEAR ROGUES. WHY IS THIS DANGEROUS AND EXPENSIVE FIX NOT BEING COVERED NOW?
TAMARA RECALL: VEHICLES ACTS LIKE IT'S GOING TO DIE WHEN I AM IN GEAR AND STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN ETC.
LOSS OF ACCELERATION DUE TO OVERHEATED TRANSMISSION; MY 2013 NISSAN ROGUE WITH 66,000 MILES ON IT STARTED TO LOSE ACCELERATION ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE (65MPH TO 30MPH). I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH ROGUES, AND THAT MY TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS BASICALLY GETTING SO HOT IT WAS BOILING AND HAD CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE TO MY VALVE BODY. I HAD TO REPLACE THE VALVE BODY AND PUT IN AN EXTERNAL COOLANT SYSTEM WHICH COST $2700. THE REPAIRS WERE NOT COVERED BY NISSAN AS MY TRANSMISSION WARRANTY WAS ONLY UP TO 60,000 MILES, HOWEVER THIS IS A SERIOUS MANUFACTURING ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY NISSAN.
WHEN I DRIVE MY 2013 NISSAN ROGUE FOR OVER AN HOUR THE TRANSMISSION SWITCHES TO SAFETY MODE AND REDUCES THE SPEED IN THE VEHICLE. ONCE IT COOLS DOWN IT DRIVEA NORMAL. TJIS HAS PUT ME IN VERY DANGEROUS SITUATIONS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. DID ALL OF UTS SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND ALSO PAID DEALERSHIP EXTRA FOR A CVT TRANSMISSION EVALUATION. THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY. VERY DANGEROUS TO LOOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING.
DEACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING MAINLY LONG TRIPS. WE FIRST NOTICED 2 MONTHS AGO. NO RECALL WAS EVER SENT TO US. MY ORIGINAL WARRANTY IS OVER NOW.THIS IS UNSAFE AND WORRISOME , WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO FIX IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AFTER A HALF AN HOUR. THE FAILURE OCCURRED A FEW TIMES PREVIOUSLY AND THE VEHICLE HESITATED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO JEFF WYLER NISSAN (8680 COLERAIN AVE, CINCINNATI, OH 45251, (513) 385-1400) AND DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CONTACT COULD NOT REMEMBER THE DETAILS. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO MATT CASTRUCCI NISSAN (3013 MALL PARK DR, DAYTON, OH 45459, (855) 299-1946) TO BE DIAGNOSED AND THEY HAD TO "DROP THE PAN". THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD PAY 60% OF THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
AFTER DRIVING VEHICLE FOR OVER AN HR IN WARM TO HOT WEATHER OR WHEN TOWING THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOSSES ABILITY TO ACCELERATE AND SEEMS TO ENTER LIMP MODE. BASED ON RESEARCH MANY OTHERS ALSO HAVE SAME COMPLAINT AND EITHER REQUIRE TRANSMISSION REPLACE OR A LARGER TRANSMISSION COOLER. AS VEHICLE IS JUST OVER A MONTH OUT OF WARRANTY EVEN AFTER EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEM IN DEC ON TRIP(IN WARRANTY TIME PERIOD) NISSAN WILL NOT COVER REPAIR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS YOU CAN NOT MOVE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON FREEWAY MAX SPEED IS 5-60 DOWNHILL 40S UPHILL. NISSAN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON 2007-2010 AND NEED TO DO THE SAME HERE.
I PURCHASED MY CAR IN 2016 WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY A LEASE. WHEN I GOT THE CAR I NOTICED A WHIRRING SOUND AS I APPLIED THE GAS AND A LOW PULL AS IT COASTED DOWNHILL. SEVERAL DIFFERENT PEOPLE I ASKED ABOUT THIS STATED IT WAS NORMAL. I'VE NEVER DRIVEN OR OWNED A NISSAN BEFORE AND I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS THE WAY THE CAR DRIVES. A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, AFTER DRIVING TO GET MY SON FROM COLLEGE, THE CAR BARELY WENT ABOVE 60 MPH AS I PRESSED THE GAS. I PULLED OVER, THOUGHT IT WAS TOO HOT OR MAYBE A BAD BATTERY (HAD IT TESTED, STILL GOOD) OR MAYBE THE FUEL INJECTOR. I STOPPED AND GOT SOME FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER AND LET MY CAR REST FOR A BIT BEFORE HEADING 2 HOURS BACK HOME. IT NEVER HAPPENED AGAIN UNTIL THIS PAST FRIDAY. HAD THE CODES READ WHEN IT BECAME SLUGGISH AND WAS GIVEN P1778 CODE. ULTIMATELY, MYSELF, MY DAUGHTER AND MY 2 FOSTER DAUGHTERS GOT STUCK IN TRAFFIC B/C MY CAR BARELY MOVED AT ALL DURING STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. I HAD IT TOWED AND WHEN THE MECHANIC CHECKED IT THAT MONDAY MORNING HE CONFIRMED THAT MY TRANSMISSION WAS BAD AND TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER, THAT NISSAN HAS HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS W/ IT AND IT SHOULD BE UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, WHICH REPAIRS MAY OTHERWISE RUN B/W $3000.00-$4000.00. UPON MY RESEARCH, CONTACT W/ NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THE DEALER I'VE COME TO UNDERSTAND THAT MY YEAR (2013 NISSAN ROGUE) IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A BURDEN AND DANGER TO CONSUMERS THAT NISSAN HAS BEEN AWARE OF AT LEAST SINCE 2003 YET HAS NOT BEEN VIGILANT ENOUGH TO FIX. I ALSO SEE WHERE THERE HAVE BEEN AND CURRENTLY ARE CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS AGAINST NISSAN REGARDING THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS. I HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. PLEASE HELP!!!
ONE MONTH AFTER THE FIVE YRS WARRANTY THE AIRBAGS LIGHT IS ON ALL THE TIME. IT APPEARS SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING AND INACTIVE.
I DID NOT GET ANY INDICATIONS FROM MY CAR THAT I WAS LOOSING POWER ON THE INTERSTATE. I PUSH THE GAS PEDAL AND NOTHING. I WAS DRIVING FOR OVER AN HOUR AND THAT IS WHEN IT HAPPENS. UNFORTUNATELY THIS HAS HAPPEN MORE THAN ONCE. AT TIMES IT START TO SLOWS DOWN. ONE TIME WHEN I GOT OFF THE INTERSTATE AND STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND IT ALMOST DIED AT THE INTERSECTION. NOW I SEE IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM I WOULD LIKE NISSAN TO FIX THIS BECAUSE THIS COULD BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR ME OR ANYONE DRIVING THIS. I ALMOST GOT HIT MY A TRUNK, AND A CAR ON THE INTERSTATE I DON'T TRUST THIS CAR ANYMORE. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO FIX IT RIGHT...
THE CVT BELT CAUSES THE CAR TO STALL OUT WHILE IN DRIVING CONDITIONS. WHILE DRIVING AND PULL UP TO A STOP WHILE THE CAR IS AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE THE CAR WILL STALL AND WON'T TAKE OFF. SOME INTERSECTIONS I HAVE APPROACHED HAVE ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS SO TO THIS PROBLEM. I FEAR FOR MY FAMILY AND THE OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.
I BOUGHT MY NISSAN ROGUE IN DECEMBER 2013 BRAND NEW. WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED, THE CAR HAS ROUGHLY 60,000. JUST LAST SUMMER 2018, AS I WAS DRIVING TO ATLANTA ON I- 20 WEST MY CAR STARTED TO DECELERATE WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 75 MPH AFTER 40 MINUTES INTO MY TRIP. I WAS SO NERVOUS, AS I CONTINUED TO PUSH THE GAS BUT NOTHING HAPPENED AS CARS SPEED UP BEHIND ME. I MERGED OVER TO THE RIGHT LANE TO AVOID CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WHILE IN THIS LANE SEMI TRUCKS QUICKLY STARTED TO APPROACH BEHIND ME AND THAT'S WHEN I KNEW SOMETHING WAS TERRIBLE WRONG. I MERGED OFF THE NEAREST EXIT FOR MY SAFETY. I FOUND SOMEWHERE TO PARK AND TURNED OFF MY VEHICLE. I RESTARTED IT AND PRECEDED TO MY DESTINATION WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. THIS SAME THING HAPPENED LATER THAT YEAR. I DID GET MY CAR DIAGNOSIS AND DISCOVERED THAT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION BUT THAT COMPANY DIDN'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO DUE THAT REPAIR. RECENTLY, I WENT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND GOT ANOTHER DIAGNOSIS AND THEY SAID IT IS THE TRANSMISSION WHICH WILL COST $4000. I WOULD IMAGINE THAT MY CAR WOULD NOT HAVE THAT TYPE OF PROBLEM WITHIN 4 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP SINCE THIS TRANSMISSION WAS BUILT BY NISSAN. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND SEEN THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD THIS PROBLEMS WITH THIS YEAR MODEL.
VEHICLE LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND ABRUPTLY DROPPED FROM 75 MPH TO UNDER 50 MPH. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JACKIE COOPER NISSAN IN TULSA WHERE IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT.
CAR LOST POWER AS WE WERE ON THE HIGHWAY, GOING FROM 70 TO 40 MPH IN NO TIME. STARTED TO SMOKE. JUST HAD OIL CHANGED AND ALL FLUIDS CHECKED WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. AFTER WE WERE TOWED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND WAITING WE DECIDED TO TRY THE CAR AGAIN TO SEE IF IT WAS WORKING. CAR WENT FINE THE REST OF THE WAY. COMING BACK HOME ABOUT 300 MILES, CAR DROVE OK, BUT IT FELT LIKE THERE WAS SOMETHING OFF. BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT IT NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION AS WELL AS A TRANSMISSION COOLER KIT. TOTAL WOULD BE $5200. CAR ONLY HAS 67000 MILES, PAID IN FULL AT TIME OF PURCHASE, WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 60000 MILES. CONTACTED NISSAN, I WAS TOLD OTHER YEARS HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY ON TRANSMISSION BUT NOT MY YEAR. ALSO FOUND OUT THAT THERE'S BEEN RECALLS ON OTHER YEARS REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION BUT NOT 2013. I SEE THERE ARE MANY, MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THIS ISSUE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CAR AND I REALLY THINK NISSAN SHOULD MAKE RESTITUTION ON THIS PROBLEM. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND AN AIR COOLER NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER OPENED CASE NUMBER: 31451265 AND OFFERED TO COVER FIFTY PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAMARA RECALL TRANSMISSION IS NO LONGER WORKING, THE TRANSMISSION JUST SUDDENLY WENT OUT COMPLETELY.

DRIVING FROM JACKSON HOLE TO LANDERS CAR STALLED ON HWY AND HAD TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR 15 MIN TO COOL BEFORE COULD DRIVE. ENGINE IS TILL RUNNING AT THESE TIMES BUT NO POWER OR DRIVE AND SEEMS LIKE ENGINE IS OVERHEATING. IS SAFTY HAZORD ON ROAD BECAUSE IT WILL STALL OUT WITH NO NOTICE AND NO WAY TO EVEN GET POWER TO MOVE OFF OF ROAD IF COME TO COMPLETE STOP AFTER 2-3 HR DRIVE AND STOP AT LIGHT. SHE STATED SHE WAS ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY WHEN IT SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND A TRUCK FOLLOWING BEHIND HER ALMOST SLAMMED INTO HER. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED AND DECIDED TO DRIVE IT MYSELF ON A 600 MILE TRIP. WHEN I WAS 3/4'S OF THE WAY THROUGH I NOTICED A DROP IN SPEED AND WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR IT FAILED TO GO ANY FASTER. WHEN I TRAVELED UP HILL MY SPEED WENT DOWN TO 30 MPH AND I HAD TO PULL OVER DUE TO TRAFFIC BACKING UP BEHIND ME. I LATER LEARNED THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THE NISSAN CVT. NOW I AM UNABLE TO TRUST TAKING THIS CAR ON ANY OTHER LONG TRIPS DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES. I CAN'T TAKE A CHANCE OF ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER BEING KILLED DUE TO THE INHERENT PROBLEMS THAT NISSAN HAS REFUSED TO REPAIR OR ADDRESS.
ON INTERSTATE I 75, CAR SUDDENLY ACTED LIKE NOT GETTING GAS. SLOWED DOWN BUT WAS STILL GOING. I GOT OFF AND WENT TO AN ADJACENT FORD DEALERSHIP. THE PUT A COMPUTER ON IT AND SAID IT WAS A TORQUE CONVERTER PROBLEM. ADVISED TO DRIVE TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP. WHICH I WAS ABLE TO DO. THEY PUT COMPUTER ON IT AND SAID FORD DIAGNOSIS WAS CORRECT BUT ALSO A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. REF 15-084A. THE DEALERSHIP DID MOT MENTION THAT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A COVERED REPAIR. CHARGES WOULD BE 3600. +.
BEGINNING IN NOVEMBER OF 2017, ACCELERATION BEGAN TO HAVE ISSUES. WHEN ACCELERATING, THE CAR WOULD DRAG AND HESITATE BEFORE FULLY DROPPING INTO GEAR. ALL OTHER COMPONENTS WORKED FINE. I WOULD ALLOW THE CAR TO HEAT UP 10-15 MINUTES IN THE MORNING AND THAT DID NOT HELP. SHORTLY AFTER, EACH TIME I STEP ON THE GAS, THE ENGINE REVS TREMENDOUSLY DESPITE THE SLIGHTEST ACCELERATION. THE PIN WILL NOT MOVE THEN MOVE QUICKLY CAUSING A GRINDING/BUZZING SOUND BETWEEN 2K & 3K BEFORE FEELING LIKE IT DROPS I TOM GEAR, EVEN AT 15-25MPH. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES, BUT THE CAUSE CAN NO TO BE DIAGNOSED. IN JANUARY OF 2018, THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON AND THE CAR LOST ACCELERATION. UPON TAKING IT TO THE MECHANIC, I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING TESTED FINE, THE SOFTWARE SIMPLY NEEDED TO BE RESET. AFTER RESETTING, THE LIGHT HAS NOT RETURNED, BUT THE ACCELERATION ISSUE HAS NOT CHANGED. IN MARCH OF 2018 AFTER EXPERIENCING ANOTHER ABRUPT SLOW-DOWN ON A SIDE STREET, I PARKED THE CAR AND SMELLED A BURNING OF SOME TYPE OF FLUID UPON GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. ONCE THE INITIAL SMELL DISPERSED, NO SIGN OF DAMAGE, LEAKING, OR OTHER ISSUE WAS PRESENT. IN APRIL OF 2018, NO FURTHER ACCELERATION ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED, BUT THE WARNING LIGHTS AGAIN CAME ON. AGAIN, NOTHING WAS DIAGNOSED, IT WAS SAID THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF SOFTWARE ISSUE AND SIMPLY NEEDED TO BE RESET AGAIN. SHORTLY AFTER, THE AC UNIT COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. I TURNED OFF THE CAR, RESTARTED AND THE SYSTEM CAME BACK ON, BUT NO MATTER WHAT BLOWS OUT HOT AIR WHICH IS HOTTER OFTEN THAN IF THE HEAT IS TURNED ON FULL BLAST. THE CAR HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND UNDERGONE REGULARLY SCHEDULE MAINTENANCE AND HAS 84K MILES. MY MECHANIC RAN THE VIN AND THERE'S WERE NO OPEN RECALLS, HOWEVER, THE CAR WAS JUST DIAGNOSED WITH AN 'ELECTRICAL ISSUE.'

HALF-WAY THROUGH THE HILLS I LOST ACCELERATION AND CRUISE CONTROL SHUT-OFF. REST OF THE WAY THROUGH THE HILLS WAS IN THE SLOW LANE/EMERGENCY LANE GOING 25 TO 30 MILES PER HOUR. FINALLY MADE IT THROUGH THE HILLS BUT BY THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO EXIT I8 I WAS GOING 20 THEN 15 THEN 10 MILES PER HOUR. AFTER AN HOUR OF LETTING THE CAR SIT I STARTED AGAIN PUT IN IN REVERSE AND THAT'S AS FAR AS I GOT. I HAD NO POWER AT ALL IN "D" OR "L", HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED 51 MILES. AIR BAG LIGHT WOULD NO CUT OFF CAUSING ISSUES WITH AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. I WAS ADVISED BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR MODEL YEARS 2014-2017 FOR SAME ISSUE BUT NOT FOR MY VEHICLE (2013).
LOSS OF ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. TRANSMISSION WILL GO INTO FAIL SAFE MODE AFTER APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES OF DRIVING REGARDLESS OF WEATHER, OR TOWN OR HWY DRIVING. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED WITH JUST OVER 49,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE HAD IT FOR LESS THAN A MONTH. I DISCOVERED THAT THE RIGHT REAR BRAKE LINE HAS BEEN RUN INCORRECTLY DURING ASSEMBLY. THE LAST INCIDENT OF ON 3/29/18. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN AT THE REPAIR SHOP AND THE DEALER SERVICE AREA IS SAYING THEY CAN NOT EVEN FIND A TSB ON THE ISSUE.

LIFT GATE RUSTED AROUND THE EMBLEMS AND TAIL LIGHTS WITHIN ONE YEAR - THEY REPLACED IT. LESS THAN 8 MONTHS LATER IT STARTED RUSTING AGAIN - THEY REPLACED IT. IS NOW RUSTING AGAIN AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. BLOWS HEAT THROUGH THE VENTS WHEN ALL CONTROLS ARE OFF AND TEMPERATURE IS SET TO THE COOLEST SETTING. LATEST ISSUE IS I WAS DRIVING MY KIDS HOME AT NIGHT AND WHEN I TRIED TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP LIGHT THE VEHICLE ONLY MOVED SLOWLY AT THE RPM WENT ABOVE 4,000 ALMOST CAUSING ME TO GET REAR ENDED. EVENTUALLY I COULD GET TO 50 MPH BUT ANYTHING OVER THAT AND THE RPM'S WOULD RACE OVER 4,000. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AM BEING TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IS SHOT AND IT WILL COST $3,500 AND I ONLY HAVE 95,000 MILES ON IT!

I HAD TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH MY NYS ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE TO GET NISSAN'S ATTENTION ONLY TO RECEIVE A LETTER TELLING MY MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL AND THEY WOULDN'T HELP. HOW CAN AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WHEN SOMETHING OBVIOUSLY BURNED NOT BE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY? I HAVE HAD MY CAR REGULARLY SERVICED AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND HAVE LESS THAN 60000 MILES. THE CAR STILL SITS UNUSABLE IN MY DRIVEWAY.
I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE LIFTGATE ON THIS CAR FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AT LEAST 5 TIMES, AND RECENTLY TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM. THE LIFTGATE HAS GONE FROM INTERMITTENLY OPENING TO NOW NOT OPENING AT ALL. TRUNK IS NEEDED, WHAT CAN I DO?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND LET THE VEHICLE COOL DOWN FOR APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED NORMALLY AFTERWARDS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAD BEEN OCCURRING INTERMITTENTLY SINCE THE SUMMER OF 2016. THE DEALER (HUMMEL'S NISSAN IN DES MOINES, IOWA) DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
AXLES - VEHICLE MAKING A TERRIBLE SOUND WHILE STARTING OUT - FRONT END STARTING SHAKING. LOCATION COMPANY INSPECTED VEHICLE & FOUND TIRED FROM BOTH AXLES NEEDED TO BE REMOVED & AXLES NEEDED GREASED ON 02/05/18. NOISE STARTED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO HAVING THE CAR INSPECTED ON 02/03/2018
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ON A HIGHWAY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, IT BEGAN TO SHAKE AND MAKE A LOUD NOISE. WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES THE CAR BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. AFTER PULLING OVER IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A NISSAN DEALER AND THE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE CVT HAD AN INTERNAL FAILURE WITH NO MOVEMENT. ALTHOUGH NISSAN WAS CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY THEY REFUSED TO ASSIST WITH THE REPAIRS OF THE CAR BECAUSE THE MILEAGE DEEMED THE CAR OUT OF WARRANTY. THERE WERE NO INDICATION THAT THIS PROBLEM WAS GOING TO OCCUR. THE TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND FAULTY AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. AFTER RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM, I DISCOVERED THAT NISSAN HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS OF ROGUES IN THE PAST. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO A AAA CAR CARE CENTER FOR REPAIR.
