PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT HAS MOISTURE CONTENT INSIDE THE HOUSING. *TR
Upon driving the vehicle on the freeway or highway at an accelerated speed, the hood shakes up and down rapidly, and appears as though it could potentially pop open. The hood is locked when driving and there have been no accidents on the vehicle. Nissan has had multiple recalls of their hood latch for the mid-size cars like the Altima and also the Pathfinder, but I believe the Rogue is also affected. I first noticed it in 2020, and it has been this way for a couple of years, and when I asked the dealerships, they told me there’s been no recall for the Nissan rogue so I had always thought it might be normal (albeit concerning); it wasn’t until this past May when a friend who worked at Nissan mentioned about the latch recalls for the other cars, that I decided to look into it. There is no recall for the Nissan rogue for the hood latch but I believe the 2016 Rogue is also affected by a faulty hood latch. The hood feels locked when parked, but upon driving on a freeway or at an accelerated MPH above 45/50, it seems as though a lot of air gets under the hood and forces it to shake up and down. It is very unsettling and seems like another common issue for 2016 Rogue drivers.
MY WIFE AND (3) MONTH OLD GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER EXPERIENCED A LOUD BOOM OUT OF NO WHERE I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AND MADE SURE THE BABY AND MY WIFE WERE NOT INJURED AND THEN I BECAME VERY ANGRY THAT THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED LIKE THIS AND PUT MY BABY LIFE IN UNNECESSARY DANGER. NISSAN SAYS-IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT AND NOW WANT ME TO FILE ON MY INSURANCE A CHARGE MORE THAN 2,100.00. I HAVE 1 QUESTION... DOES EVERYONE RIDING NEED TO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES NOW?!! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING OUT OF HIS DRIVEWAY AT LOW SPEEDS, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN OF MCKINNEY (3800 S CENTRAL EXPY, MCKINNEY, TX 75069) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND DETERMINED THAT THE FRONT SPRINGS STOPPER AND BALL JOINTS WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE 51,748. *BF
CAR BEGAN LOSING POWER WHEN ACCELERATING AND SHUTTERING BEFORE FINALLY CATCHING GEAR AND MOVING. CAR WOULD ALSO EXHIBIT A "WHINING OR WHIRLING" NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING. EVENTUALLY THE CAR BEGAN VIBRATING FROM THE BACK END AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. TOOK CAR TO ABC NISSAN IN PHOENIX AND THEY DIAGNOSED WITH FAILING REAR DIFFERENTIAL. WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT NISSAN CUSTOMER CARE AS CAR WAS 4 YEARS OLD AND 70,000 MILES. CUSTOMER CARE DRAGGED OUT A "NOTHING WE CAN DO FOR YOU" RESPONSE" FOR NEARLY 1 MONTH. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WHEN TURNING INTO TRAFFIC AS INTERMITTENTLY, THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN MAKING A TURN.I AM WORRIED NOW THAT THE NOTORIOUS CVT TRANSMISSION WILL GO OUT NEXT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG SENSOR WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED WITH AND WITHOUT A PASSENGER BEING SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE LOCAL DEALER, ORR NISSAN LOCATED AT 2323 VIKING DR, BOSSIER CITY, LA 71111, WAS CONTACTED REGARDING THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
Both Headlights on low beam do not light up road infront of you although they used to no problem, the regular headlights are so dim it is almost impossible to see without having high beams on. However driving with high beams puts headlights directly in the eyes of oncoming traffic.. improper lighting is dangerous! When driving at night, I must use highbeams or you can not see far enough ahead to confirm nobody walking on side of road and road ahead is clear. This started occurring at approx.. 40,000 miles, my last rogue never had this issue. I have not taken to dealership yet but need to now that I see some of the complaints and our issue is not a bulb.there has been no warnings or messages for this issue to repair ourselves we are unable to do so because it's not a blub it's the direction of the low beam lights have changed we do not know what has caused this we just started noticing we were unable to drive at night securely and did not have $ to take to dealership. Yes my car can be inspected if you are able to do so. I will be taking to mechanic asap I will upload report. This is an ongoing safety issue
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated she saw moisture located inside the passenger’s side headlight that caused the bulb to be blown. The contact stated the headlight warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and had the headlight assembly replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure with the driver’s side headlight. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE MY AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON. THE ACTIVE CODE FROM THE DEALERSHIP IS B0020 AND MY PERSONAL SCAN TOOL CODE IS B0020-13. THE DEALERSHIP SAID I WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC UNIT FOR $1,100 AND IF THAT DOES NOT WORK MY DRIVER SIDE AIR MODULE FOR $3,000. MY WARRANTY DOES NOT OVER ANY OF THE REPAIRS. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OR NEEDED ANY BODY WORK.*DT

WHEN MOVING DOWN HIGHWAY 289 NORTHBOUND IN FRISCO, TEXAS AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND LOSE POWER, AND EVENTUALLY STOPPED MOVING WHILE THE GAS PEDAL WAS ENGAGED. FOR A FEW MINUTES I WAS STUCK IN THE RIGHT LINE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR. I EVENTUALLY TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE VEHICLE ENGAGED THE TRANSMISSION. AND WHEN I STARTED TO MOVE AGAIN THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND WHEN I GOT UP TO ABOUT 25 MPH AND THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED A SECOND TIME. AND I WAS STALLED A SECOND TIME ON THE HIGHWAY. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR A FEW HUNDRED YARDS TO A TURNOUT. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD AND AVOID A DANGEROUS COLLISION. I HAD TO BE TOWED A FEW MILES TO MY HOME WHERE THE VEHICLE IS NOW LOCATED. *TR
A/C DOES NOT WORK. THERE IS A ROARING SOUND WHEN THE FAN IS ON "HIGH" BUT LITTLE TO NO AIR IS BLOWING. WHAT LITTLE AIR COMES OUT IS HOT. THE TEMPERATURE IS SET TO 60 DEGREES AND STILL HOT AIR BLOWS. THIS IS MY SECOND SUMMER TO BE WITHOUT ANY AIR CONDITIONER. YOU MAY ACCIDENTALLY GET A FEW MINTUES OF COLD AIR FIRST THING IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE ENGINE GETS HOT AND THEN IT'S GONE. IN THE AFTERNOON YOU DO NOT GET ANY COLD AIR. I SEE MULTIPLE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON MANY WEBSITES. WHEN IS THE NHTSA GOING TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST NISSAN?

WIRING HARNESS IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IS SHORTED OUT AND NEEDS REPLACED. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE THE GENERATED A VOLUNTARY RECALL FOR 2008-2013 NISSAN ROGUES. THE RECALL WAS R1421.
BEARING WORN OUT IN TRANSMISSION AT 67000 MILES; THE ONLY WARNING I HAD WAS A NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR WHEN CAR WAS IN MOTION SOUNDED LIKE THE SPIN CYCLE OF A WASHING MACHINE, NO NOISE HEARD WHEN CAR WAS STOPPED NO WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD BUT HAD TO REPLACE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION
WHEN AN ADULT PASSENGER SITS IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG "OFF" LIGHT ON THE DASH REMAINS ON!!! INDICATING THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS TURNED OFF EVEN THOUGH AN ADULT PASSENGER IS SITTING ON THE SEAT. AT REST AND IN MOTION.
I HAVE HAD MY NISSAN FOR A YEAR AND LOVE IT. HOWEVER WHENEVER I SLOW DOWN TO STOP, OR TAKE OFF, I HAVE NOTICED MY DRIVER SEAT WILL GLIDE FORWARD AND SOMETIMES CLICK OR CLUNK, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST BECAUSE I AM A MORE HEAVIER GUY. I STARTED READING MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME YEAR AND MAKE NISSIAN WERE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES. IT HAS BEEN HAPPING ON AND OFF SINCE ABOUT MARCH 2020 WHEN I STARTED TO REALLY REALIZE IT.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW TO MOVE OFF FROM A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED AND OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CONTACT THE LOCAL DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT NEITHER THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST NOR THE REPAIR WERE COVERED UNDER THE VEHICLE WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,000.
BAD AC/HEATER CONTROL. KNOWN ISSUE, NISSAN SERVICE BULLETIN #NTB15-045E I PURCHASED A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2016 NISSAN ROGUE IN 2017 IS NOW WINTER AND THE HEATER HAS FAILED. I TOOK IN IN FOR OIL CHANGE AND BRAKE WORK, BUT WHEN I GOT IT BACK THE HEATER WASN'T WORKING AND THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T HAVE ANY CLUE WHY. THEY HAVE REPLACE THE CONTROL SENOR BUT THAT DIDN'T HELP. THEY ARE NOW CLAIMING IT'S THE HOSES/RADIATOR AND SOME OTHER STUFF. MY HEATER FAILING, AND NOT ABLE TO DEFROST/DEFOG MY WINDSHIELD MEANS THAT I CAN'T SEE, AND IF I GET STUCK ON THE ROAD I HAVE TO HEAT TO STAY WARM AND ALIVE (I TRAVEL FOR WORK AND CAN BE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATE). THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL AND EVEN THOUGH NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT IT, THEY HAVE NOT MADE A RECALL ON IT.
WHILE DRIVING PANORAMIC SUNROOF EXPLODED WITHOUT CAUSE. I WAS DRIVING ON 1604 2/14/2020 AT APPROX 4:30 PM IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON SMOOTH SURFACE WHEN THE SUNROOF BURST. NO DEBRIS WAS SEEN AND JUST WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A SHOTGUN BLAST. PULLED OVER TO DISCOVER THE SUNROOF HAD BURST UPWARD AND OUTWARD.
THE SEATBELT IS STUCK
SITTING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE, TRAFFIC WAS MOVING VERY SLOW (STOP AND GO) AS I DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND JOLT. I RELEASED THE GAS PEDAL AND TRIED AGAIN AND RECEIVED THE SAME RESULT. ONCE I WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE MORE I WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE. I THEN TOOK MY VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC WHERE HE EXPLAINED MY TRANSMISSION WAS GOING TO STOP WORKING AND I WILL NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. HE HAD A MACHINE THAT WAS HOOKED UP TO MY VEHICLE SHOWING THE CVT CODE. I DID NOT THINK TO ASK FOR A COPY OF THE READ OUT.
BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR OUR 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO DRIVE. IT HAS 16,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS STARTED SHUTTERING AND LURCHING UPON ACCELERATION. AT ONE POINT SHE WAS DRIVING IT ON A BUSY FOUR LANE HIGHWAY AND IT STARTED LURCHING AND THE CAR DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. LUCKILY SHE WAS ABLE TO MOVE TO THE SHOULDER. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE. MY HUSBAND WENT TO PICK IT UP AND IT DID IT AS HE WAS LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP. HE IMMEDIATELY TURNED AROUND AND LEFT THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THEY ARE SAYING THAT IT MAY BE THE BELT INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION.

THE CONTACT DISCONNECTED THE CRUISE CONTROL HOWEVER, THE RPM CONTINUED TO BE FLUCTUATED FROM 2,000 TO 3,000. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE 2016 NISSAN ROGUE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTIED TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT THAT WAS FOR 5 YEARS OR 60,000 MILES WHICH WAS EXTENDED TO 10 YEAR OR 120,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED THE CONTACT CASE NUMBER 38531446. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
Unlike other car this car don’t warn for seat belts. Blind spot lights frequently appers for the vehicle even though the vehicle is opposite direction divided highway .while driving the tires makes unpleasant sound like its not aligned properly .
ANOTHER VEHICLE IMPROPERLY TURNED LEFT IN FRONT OF ME AS I WAS TRAVELING THROUGH A CITY INTERSECTION CAUSING SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. NOT A SINGLE AIRBAG DEPLOYED IN MY VEHICLES. IT APPEARS TWO SENSORS WERE HIT BY THE IMPACT.*DT*JB
AFTER DRIVING CAR HEATS UP AND THE CAR TAKES OFF DANGEROUSLY SLOW. I'VE BEEN HIT ALMOST 6+ TIMES DO TO THAT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TAILGATE DOOR AND FUEL TANK WOULD OPEN INDEPENDENTLY WHILE PARKED AND NOT IN OPERATION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT ONE DAY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN HIS DRIVEWAY. THE VEHICLE SLIPPED OUT OF PARK, ROLLED DOWN A HILL, AND HIT A TREE IN HIS YARD. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND NO INJURIES OCCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT INITIALLY CALLED RON MARHOFER NISSAN(247 HOWE AVE, CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH 44221) WHERE THEY REFERRED HIM TO THE MANUFACTURER. ONCE THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER, THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THEY WOULD SEND AN INVESTIGATOR TO HIS LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GRAND BLANC NISSAN(8346 HOLLY RD, GRAND BLANC, MI 48439) WHERE THE INSPECTOR INFORMED HIM THAT THEY FOUND NO DEFECTS WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.*DT THIS IS CORRESPONDENCE TO NISSAN. NISSAN INSPECTED CAR BUT COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM NOR DUPLICATE THE OCCURRANCE THEREFORE THEY SAID WAS NOT A PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE AND THEY WOULD DO NOTHING. NISSAN WOULD NOT LET ME WATCH AS THEY INSPECTED VEHICLE NOR WOULD THEY GIVE ME COPY OF THE REPORT. THEY SAID THE REPORT WAS PROPRIETARY. I DISAGREE. I FOUND OUT 34000 OF THIS MODEL WAS RECALLED FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM THE YEAR BEFORE IN 2015. SEE ATTACHMENTS. *JB*JB
THE HEATER WENT OUT ON MY ROGUE ON A VERY COLD MORNING. IT WOULD ONLY BLOW COLD AIR. THIS WAS PROBLEMATIC BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY ISSUE IN DEFROSTING MY WINDOWS. I HAVE TO DRIVE FOR WORK EVERY MORNING. THIS GREATLY CONCERNS MEAN FOR THE SAFETY OF MY WIFE AND 3 MONTHS DAUGHTER. ACCORDING TO RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS IS COMMON PROBLEM, BUT NO SAFETY RECALL HAS OCCURRED YET. ONE WEBSITE STATES THAT, NISSAN RELEASED SEVERAL TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS FOR IMPROPER HEATING/VENTILATION PERFORMANCE, INCLUDING INCORRECT TEMPERATURE OUTPUT AND/OR AIR DELIVERY LOCATION FOR NISSAN ROGUES FROM 2015-17 THE MOST RECENT ' #NTB17-028 AND NTB15-045E, ' INDICATES CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE MANUAL HVAC SYSTEM MIGHT BENEFIT FROM REPLACEMENT OF THE 'FRONT AIR CONTROL UNIT.'
ON 11/13/19 AT 06:18 A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE SWERVED LEFT, THEN RIGHT, STRUCK A UTILITY POLE HEAD ON AT 30 MPH. DRIVER HAD MINOR ABRASIONS. TWO CHILDREN IN BACK BOTH IN FF CAR SEATS SECURED W LOWER ANCHOR TETHER.*DT*DT*DT*DT*DT*DT*DT*DT*JB*DT REAR PASSENGER SIDE: 2Y2M MALE IN COSCO ALPHA OMEGA ELITE (DOM 5/17/2011) W/ MINOR INJURIES FEW ABRASIONS, BRUISES ON HEAD, BIT TONGUE. REAR DRIVERS SIDE: 4Y0M MALE 42 INCHES (38.5LBS DURING LAST EXAM, APPROX 2 MO. PRIOR) IN BRITAX FRONTIER CLICKTIGHT XE WHOSE 5 POINT HARNESS PULLED AND BROKE THROUGH THE PLASTIC FRAMING OF THE SHELL. 4Y/O INITIALLY CRYING & WHIMPERING BUT QUICKLY UNRESPONSIVE WENT INTO CARDIAC ARREST AT SCENE. EVENTUALLY REVIVED, BUT DECLARED BRAIN DEAD. REMOVED FROM LIFE SUPPORT 11/15. AUTOPSY CONCLUDES CHILD DIED OF MULTIPLE BLUNT FORCE INJURIES: ACUTE SUBDURAL & SUBARACHNOID HEMORRHAGE, CEREBRAL SWELLING W/ HERNIATION, HIS, SKULL FXS, PULMONARY CONTUSIONS CAR SEATS REMAINED INSTALLED. EVALUATED IN-VEHICLE 11/14 BY MSP OFFICER WHO IS CPST. NOTED: FRONTIER INSTALLED USING LA STRAP WHICH WAS PROPERLY ATTACHED, ROUTED, & LOCKED TO THE VEHICLE SLAG, TETHER STRAP PROPERLY ROUTED UNDER HER AND ATTACHED TO TA. APPROX. 4 IN. OF SIDE TO SIDE & FORWARD MVMT OF FRONTIER. FROM OFFICERS REPORT: THE 5 POINT HARNESS PULLED AND BROKE THROUGH THE PLASTIC FRAMING OF THE SHELL, CAUSING THE HARNESS AND ADJUSTABLE PORTION OF THE SEAT TO COME FORWARD, WITH THE FRAME STILL BEING ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE CHILD WAS FIRST CONTACTED AFTER THE CRASH IT WAS DESCRIBED TO OFFICERS THAT HE WAS "HUNCHED OVER". (BRITAX THEN UNINSTALLED) I OBSERVED BROKEN PIECES TO INCLUDE A METAL SPRING AND PLASTIC PARTS ON THE VEHICLE SEAT, UNDERNEATH THE CSS. THESE PARTS WERE BROKEN FROM THE BRITAX SAFETY SEAT. FURTHER DAMAGE WAS FOUND TO THE SHELL OF THE SEAT, TO INCLUDE THE HARNESS ROUTING PATH AND MULTIPLE LOCATIONS TO THE REAR OF THE SEAT. TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF HIS PARENTS WHO OWNED A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE CONTACT'S FATHER SUFFERED A DIABETIC SEIZURE. AS A RESULT, HE CROSSED OVER THE MEDIAN AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NEITHER OF HIS PARENTS WERE WEARING THEIR SEAT BELTS AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. BOTH PARENTS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE AND WERE PRONOUNCED DECEASED 36 HOURS LATER. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: 2019-3451 WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED OR IF THE EVENT DATA RECORDER WAS INSPECTED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED IF THE VEHICLE HAD AN AUDIBLE CHIME TO REMIND THE OCCUPANTS WHEN THEIR SEAT BELTS WERE NOT SECURED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. I WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN WHEN ANOTHER DRIVER HIT ME. MY ENTIRE FRONT END IS DESTROYED AND THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH SUFFERED HEAD INJURIES DUE TO THE AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE DOING ABOUT 70 MPH. THE CAR STARTED DECELERATING. EACH TIME I PRESSED ON THE BREAKS IT WOULD NOT GO ANY FASTER THAN 40 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS NEVER CAME ON UNTIL I REACHED THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM TAKE A LOOK AT THE CAR. NISSAN WESLEY CHAPEL ADVISED ME I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION.
ABOUT AT LEAST HALF OF THE TIME THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IS OCCUPIED BY AN ADULT, THE INDICATOR LIGHT IS ON SAYING THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS TURNED OFF. THE VIN HAS NO CURRENT RECALLS SO IT APPEARS THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER MUST HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, YET IT IS STILL CONTINUING. IT HAS HAPPENED AT ALL SPEEDS.
THE IPDM (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE) WAS FOUND INOPERABLE. THIS RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE NOT BEING ABLE TO BE STARTED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED IN THE GARAGE PREVIOUS TO THE EVENT AND WAS UNABLE TO BE MOVED FROM THE GARAGE UNDER ITS OWN POWER FOLLOWING THE EVENT. NO DETERMINATION WAS MADE ON WHAT LED TO THE IPDM BEING RENDERED INOPERABLE.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE S AWD WITH ABOUT 30,034 MILES ON IT. THE NEXT DAY AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 75 MILES IT STARTED JERKING AND STALLING IN TRAFFIC, AND HAVING ISSUES GOING FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND DRIVE TO REVERSE. ON THE DAY AFTER, WHICH IS TODAY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND INSTEAD OF DRIVING FORWARD WHILE IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS ON OUR SIDE WALK WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD SON AND I INSIDE. MY FIANC AND I ATTEMPTED TO GET THE VEHICLE TO SHIFT GEARS AND WE WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. IT SEEMS AS IF THE CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAME TO PICK IT UP VIA TOW.
AFTER ABOUT 60K MILES, I NOTICED MY 2016 NISSAN ROGUE STARTED TO BECOME SLUGGISH. IT WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY. I HAD TO REV IT UP TO AT LEAST 4 OR 5 RPM TO GET IT TO EVEN TAKE OFF. THERE WAS A DELAY IN RESPONSE TO ME PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. THE ENGINE STARTED TO SHUDDER AND SHAKE MORE THAN BEFORE. I FELT LIKE I HAD TO FLOOR IT TO EVEN GO 30. THIS WAS VERY SCARY WHEN PULLING IN FRONT OF TRAFFIC THAT WAS ALREADY GOING 60 ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY ENOUGH TO KEEP UP WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. AT 70K, IT EXPERIENCED SEVERAL EPISODES OF COMPLETE FAILURE. I'LL DESCRIBE ONE OF MY EXPERIENCES AS BEST AS POSSIBLE. AFTER DRIVING THE ROGUE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR IN STOP AND GO RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, I DECIDED TO STOP AT STARBUCKS TO CALM MY NERVES. I WAITED IN THE DRIVE THROUGH FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. WHEN PULLING OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY, MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 15MPH. I WAS FLOORING IT, TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC, BUT THE VEHICLE SIMPLY WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I PULLED INTO THE CENTER LANE, AND TURNED MY CAR COMPLETELY OFF. I SET FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. THEN I STARTED THE ENGINE BACK UP. IT RAN FINE AFTER THAT. HOWEVER, THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT CONTINUES TO OCCUR. I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE A PLACE TO PULL OVER, BUT WHAT IF I'M NOT SO LUCKY NEXT TIME? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I TRIED TO CROSS A BUSY STREET AND MY VEHICLE JUST STOPPED? I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY WITH MY KIDS INSIDE! I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES. THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG AND NO RECALLS, BUT DID DO A TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE UPDATE. THAT DID NOT HELP. THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJURED!!!!
THE BACK TRUNK WHEN OPENING HAS A HORRIBLE SCREECHING NOISE AND IS NOT SMOOTH OPENING. JUST BOUGHT THIS AS A USED CAR SO I'M SURE NOT IF I MISSED A PRIOR RECALL. ALSO THE STEERING WHEN I TURN THE WHEEL AT A SLOW SPEED MAKES A LOW GROANING NOISE
ON THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT, WHEN SEAT WARMER IS ON BOTH LOW OR HIGH SETTING, RIGHT SIDE OF SEAT GETS EXTREMELY HOT. IT HAS BURNED ME SEVERAL TIMES AND NOW MY HUSBAND WAS BURNED WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR 10 MIN. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT TURNS ON WHEN PASSENGER IS SEATED AND THE LIGHT TURNS OFF WHEN SEAT IS EMPTY. THIS SEEMS LIKE A VERY BIG SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE AIRBAG WILL NOT GO ACTIVATE WHEN SOMEONE IS SEATED.
THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT WHERE THE CAR WAS HIT IN THE FRONT LEFT DRIVRS SIDE, DAMAGE FROM THE DOOR ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT. CAR WAS PUSHED QUITE A FEW FEET INTO ANOTHER CAR. THE AIR BAGS DIDN'T GO OFF. HEAD AND FACE MADE CONTACT WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW. THE OTHER CAR INVOLVED DEPLOYED THE AIRBAGS. WE BROUGHT IT TO THE WALSER GLASS AND COLLISION IN BLOOMINGTON MINNESOTA. OUR INSURANCE COMPANY, ESURANCE, IS GOING TO SEND THE CAR TO BE HELD AT A SCRAP YARD WHILE THE FINALIZE THE TOTAL LOSS. CAR LOST ACCELERATION WHEN GOING DOWN A LONG HILL AT ABOUT 45 MPH ON THE MAIN ROAD FROM OUR HOUSE TO OUR TOWN. RPM'S WERE GOING UP AND DOWN WITHOUT ANY PRESSURE APPLIED TO GAS OR BRAKES. CAR WAS THEN HARD TO PUT INTO GEAR, YOU COULD GET IT TO ENGAGE AFTER 5-10 TIMES TRYING. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. THIS WAS LESS THAN 2MOS AFTER THE PC490 CAMPAIGN WAS PREFORMED ON MY CAR AND A TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE.
AT ABOUT 58000 MILES SEPT 2019 I FIRST NOTICED ISSUES WITH ACCELERATION AND NOISE. I WAS ABOUT TO GO OUT OF TOWN AND WAS AFRAID TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK MY CAR TO NISSAN OF BOWIE. THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THERE WERE NO CODES ACTIVATED AND NO RECALLS ON THE CAR. HE GAVE ME A LIST OF OTHER CONCERNS FOR MY CAR (BRAKES, ROTORS, AND TIRES). I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND DID NOT DRIVE OUT OF TOWN AS PLANNED. MY HUSBAND REPLACED MY ROTORS, BRAKES, AND TIRES. STILL THE CAR WAS SHAKY. NEXT TRIP OUT OF TOWN WAS IN MAY 2020. MY CAR STALLED OUT WHILE WE WERE ON THE HIGHWAY TO VISIT MY FAMILY IN KENTUCKY. WE WERE AN HOUR AWAY FROM OUR HOTEL AND DROVE EXTREMELY SLOW. NO DEALERSHIPS WERE OPEN ON SUNDAY. WE TOOK MY CAR TO COYLE NISSAN IN SOUTHERN INDIANA. THIS TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THEY EXPLAINED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS COMPLETELY TRASHED AND OUT OF WARRANTY. I TRIED TO SEE IF MY INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD COVER IT. A SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT THIS LOCATION TOLD MY INSURANCE COMPANY THERE IS NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO DAMAGE THE TRANSMISSION. IT GOES OUT ON ITS OWN. THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS. I CALLED THE NISSAN WARRANTY PEOPLE TO GET SUPPORT. THEY AGREED TO PAY PARTS AND NOT LABOR. WHILE I WAS STRANDED OUT OF TOWN AND STUCK IN A HOTEL, I HAD TO PAY 2000 DOLLARS FOR LABOR TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD AND RETURN TO MARYLAND. I FILED A BBB AUTOLINE COMPLAINT AND THEY SAID THEY ONLY HELP WITH CARS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD. MY SECOND TRANSMISSION WAS PUT IN ON MAY 14TH AND WENT OUT LESS THAN TWO WEEKS LATER ON MAY 27TH. I NOTICED ISSUES THIS TIME AS SOON AS WE HEADED TO MARYLAND. IT STALLED OUT COMPLETELY WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AGAIN. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE. I AM STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON THIS CAR AND AM ON A THIRD TRANSMISSION. THERE WAS A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST NISSAN FOR THE EXACT TRANSMISSION IN 2019 ON OTHER MODELS. *TR
MY VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN I'M DRIVING CAUSING ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 40MPH AT 4-5 RPM, THE GAS PEDDLE DOES NOT WORK YOU CAN FEEL THE PULL ON THE CAR THERE IS NO POWER. I NEED TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS TO NOT BLOW MY TRANSMISSION BUT THEN I DROP TO ABOUT 20MPH AND ON HIGHWAYS OR EVEN SIDE ROADS THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. AS I STATED, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND WELL DOCUMENTED FROM CURRENT AND PREVIOUS NISSAN OWNERS AND EVERYONE'S DESCRIPTION OF THE INCIDENTS ARE IDENTICAL. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED ON ALL VEHICLES BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. WHEN MY I TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IT STATES THAT MY BATTERY WAS BAD THEN RECOMMEND ME TO CHANGE THE POSITIVE TERMINAL SO I SAY I HAVE BOUGHT THE BATTERY FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY SO THEY REPLACE THE BATTERY THEN I AGREE TO CHANGE THE POSITIVE TERMINAL SINCE IT WAS UNDER $100. AFTER CHANGE BOTH TAKE IT BACK AND DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO START MY CAR UP AND TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY THE FUSE WAS LOOSED SO THEY RELEASE THE CAR TO ME AND IT HAS STALLED AT NIGHT MY MY CHILDREN IN IT AND I HAVE TO GET HELP AND PUSH MY CAR IN KROGER PARKING LOT AND PLAN TO TOW TO THE DEALERSHIP IN THE MORNING. THE NEXT MORNING IT STARTS UP SO I DRIVE TO MY FRIEND HOUSE TO PARK IT THERE AND WAIT UNTIL MONDAY TO TAKE IT BACK, THEY THEN THIS TIME WANT ME TO CHANGE THE CHAISSY CONTROL AND I HAVE TOLD THEM THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ASHEBORO NISSAN (1635 E DIXIE DR, ASHEBORO, NC 27203, (336) 625-2500) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN A IDLE ADJUSTMENT WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 366373323. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO TSB NUMBER: NTB15-048A. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,240.
MAJOR ACCIDENT, SWERVED TO AVOID A DEER AND HIT A POLE. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS BUCKLED AND SEAT BELT DID NOT GET. MY HEAD HIT THE WINDSHIELD, REQUIRING 8 STAPLES IN MY HEAD. HAD THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED, I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD INJURIES TO THE EXTENT I DID.*DT
II PURCHASED A 2016 NISSAN ROUGE ON JULY 9, 2019. FROM DAY ONE I'VE HAD ISSUES WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT BLOWING OUT HOT. WHEN IT'S 85 DEGREES OUTSIDE, THE INSIDE OF MY ROUGE IS AS HIGH AS 91 DEGREE. THERE'S BEEN NO RELIEF AFTER THE DEALERSHIP MADE SEVERAL REPAIRS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A DEFECT AND I THINK NISSAN NEEDS TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
