TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION VIBRATED WHILE DRIVING 30 TO 60 MPH. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION. ON ONE OCCASION, THE RPMS INCREASED WHEN THE GEAR WAS SHIFTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 37751621. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
CAR SUDDENLY STOPS ACCELERATING WHILE DRIVING (THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY). CVT TRANSMISSION REPLACED AT 9,000 MILES (YES, BRAND NEW CAR) AND NOW NEEDS NEW CVT FOR SAME PROBLEM AT 69,000 MILES, HOWEVER THIS TIME NOT UNDER WARRANTY. TWO TRANSMISSION FAILURES UNDER DANGEROUS CIRCUMSTANCES WITH NO WARNING! NOT A GOOD TRACK RECORD NISSAN.
THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS IN THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. NISSAN IS ACCEPTING NO RESPONSIBILITY AND ISSUING NO RECALLS. MY VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN I'M DRIVING CAUSING ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 40MPH AT 4-5 RPM, THE GAS PEDDLE DOES NOT WORK YOU CAN FEEL THE PULL ON THE CAR THERE IS NO POWER. I NEED TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS TO NOT BLOW MY TRANSMISSION BUT THEN I DROP TO ABOUT 20MPH AND ON HIGHWAYS OR EVEN SIDE ROADS THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. BECAUSE THIS ONLY HAPPENS HERE AND THERE (3 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH) AND NEVER PREDICTABLY, THE DEALERSHIP IS SAYING THEY CANNOT FIX OR DO ANYTHING TO THE CAR WITHOUT THE ISSUE HAPPENING THERE UNDER THEIR SUPERVISION. AS I STATED, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND WELL DOCUMENTED FROM CURRENT AND PREVIOUS NISSAN OWNERS AND EVERYONE'S DESCRIPTION OF THE INCIDENTS ARE IDENTICAL. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED ON ALL VEHICLES BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.
I PURCHASED A 2016 ROGUE SV (VIN [XXX], I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE I BROUGHT IT HOME. I HAD THE HEAD UNIT REPLACE NO LESS THAN 4 SEPARATE TIMES BECAUSE IT WOULD STOP WORKING AND GO BLACK. THE CAR HAD LESS THAN 10,000 MILES ON IT. I WAS TOLD IT WAS BEING REPLACED WITH A "BRAND NEW UNIT". THE DEALERSHIP FORGOT TO TRANSFER MY XM SUBSCRIPTION TO THE NEW UNIT, SO WHEN I CALLED TO ACTIVATE I FIND OUT NOT ONLY IS IT NOT NEW, ITS 4 YEARS OLDER THAN THE CAR I OWN. WHILE REPLACING THIS THE TECHNICIANS DESTROYED THE SURROUNDING TRIM. LAST JUNE MY CAR STARTED STALLING OUT, THIS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE ENGINE DIED BUT THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS STAYED ON. IT HAS DIED AT GAS STATIONS, STOP LIGHTS AND PULLING ONTO A ROADWAY. IT CONTINUES TO SHUDDERS AT STOP LIGHTS. NISSAN WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE EVENTS SO I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT HOME. LAST WEEK MY ROGUE BEGAN TO PUSH 6000 RPMS WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY, PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND I NEVER MADE IT ABOVE 45MPH. DURING THIS EVENT THE CAR WOULDN'T GO BELOW 4000RPMS, THIS EVENT LASTED ABOUT 30MINS. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND WE HAVE VIDEO OF THE EVENTS, ABOUT 15 MINUTES WORTH. I WAS TOLD THIS WEEK THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAD SENT THE ISSUES TO NISSAN, AND THAT WITH THE VIDEO/THE COMPLAINTS THAT NISSAN WOULD REPLACE AND FIX WHAT THEY BELIEVED TO BE THE PROBLEM, SOMETHING WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE DEALERSHIP THEN CALLED MY HUSBAND AND TOLD HIM THAT WE COULD PICK UP THE VEHICLE AND TAKE IT HOME. THEY TOLD HIM THAT "NISSAN CREATED A TECHNOLOGY" THAT IS NOW INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE SO THE NEXT TIME AN EVENT HAPPENS IT WILL RECORD IT, TO CONTINUE DRIVING IT FOR A 1,000 MILES. I FEEL UNSAFE IN THIS VEHICLE. I DO NOT TRUST THIS VEHICLE TO DELIVER MY DAUGHTER AND I SAFELY AND RELIABLY TO OUR DESTINATION. MY PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG LIGHT TURNS ON EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A PASSENGER OR NOT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I COULD BE DRIVING ALONE AND IT IS TURNING ON AND OFF.
-CAR HAS 56,000 MILES -A FEW TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS, IT HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP -YESTERDAY, IT HAPPENED A LOT, AND SEVERAL TIMES I EVEN PUSHED THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR, AND NOTHING HAPPENED...THEN IT SUDDENLY REVVED AND SHOT FORWARD AFTER A FEW SECONDS. TERRIFYING. -I RESEARCHED AND IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE, BUT TODAY THE DEALER SAID THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE NO ERROR CODES, ETC., ARE SHOWING UP.
FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS I'VE NOTICED MY TRUCK WILL HAVE PROBLEMS ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW HARD I PUSH ON THE PEDAL IT JUST SITS THERE THEN JUMPS INTO ACTION. IT MAKES DRIVING IN STOP AND GO RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC HORRIBLE. YOU WANT TO MOVE WITH TRAFFIC NOT RUN INTO THE BACK OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. AND TO TOP OFF THE WEEK THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT COME BACK UP AFTER BEING ROLLED DOWN. IT TAKES AT LEAST A MIN OR TWO BEFORE IT STARTS TO COME UP. BUT IT DOESN'T ROLL ALL THE WAY UP WITH OUT YOU HOLDING THE BUTTON.
THE 2016 ROGUE SL AWD MAKES A POPPING NOISE WHEN MAKING SHARPER TURNS IN EITHER DIRECTION SUCH AS WHEN PULLING INTO OR OUT OF PARKING SPACES. IT ALSO DOES IT WHEN BACKING OUT AND CUTTING THE WHEEL. THE CAR IS LOW MILEAGE AND SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS TYPE OF ISSUE.
REAR VIEW MIRROR FELL OFF WHILE BEING ADJUSTED BY DRIVER AND TOOK A CHUNK OF THE WINDSHIELD GLASS WITH IT. THE CAR IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD AND HAS THE ORIGINAL WINDSHIELD AND REAR VIEW MIRROR. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION OF A CITY STREET AT THE TIME.
SEAT BELT - BACK DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WOULD NOT FASTEN. THE METAL PORTION OF THE BELT WOULD NOT "CLICK" INTO THE SEAT PIECE. PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LESS THAN 30 DAYS AGO FROM CARMAX, SO IT IS COVERED BY THEIR 30-DAY WARRANTY. HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THIS ISSUE REVIEWED AND RESOLVED AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.
ABOUT A YEAR AGO (2018) MY CAR STARTED OCCASIONALLY LOSING POWER AFTER I HAD STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN AFTER DRIVING ON A CITY STREET OR GETTING OFF THE HIGHWAY. I WOULD PUSH THE GAS PEDAL AND MY CAR WOULD NOT MOVE UNTIL ABOUT 5 SECONDS LATER. IF I KEEP DRIVING WHILE THIS HAPPENS, EVENTUALLY THE CAR WILL NOT GO OVER 40 MPH, THE RPMS WILL GO UP TO 4K-5K AND THE ENGINE WILL REV WITHOUT GAINING SPEED. IT WILL THEN START LURCHING FORWARD AND JERKING BACK AND FORTH. I FINALLY FIGURED OUT THAT IF I STOP AND THEN RESTART MY CAR, THE ISSUE SUBSIDES. HOWEVER, THIS ISSUE HAS STARTED HAPPENING MORE AND MORE FREQUENTLY. I WOULD ESTIMATE DRIVING THE CAR FOR AN HOUR, IT WILL HAPPEN 7-8 TIMES (WHEN TURNING THE CAR OFF, THEN ON AGAIN). IT MAKES DRIVING DANGEROUS WHEN I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE WHEN NEEDED OR WHEN MY CAR IS JERKING UNCONTROLLABLY. MY STRUTS ALSO KEEP SQUEAKING WHEN I GO OVER SPEED BUMPS OR ANY OTHER BUMP. THE DEALER REPEATEDLY TELLS ME IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE BUT NOTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED SINCE IT'S NOT A SAFETY ISSUE.
THE ACCELERATOR SENSING IS ERRATIC. SEEMS ACCENTUATED WHEN TURNING EITHER DIRECTION. WHEN TURNING AND LEAVING A STOP, OFTEN INSTEAD OF ACCELERATING PROPORTIONALLY TO ACCELERATOR DEPRESSION, IT WILL ACTUALLY SLOW DOWN INSTEAD OF SPEED UP. THIS COULD BE QUITE DANGEROUS WHEN TURNING INTO THE PATH OF AN ONCOMING VEHICLE THAT IS FAR ENOUGH AWAY THAT NORMAL ACCELERATION WOULD PLACE YOU OUT OF THE ONCOMING CARS' PATH. INSTEAD, YOU MAY BE SLOWED ENOUGH UNEXPECTEDLY TO BE IN THAT ONCOMING CARS' PATH. MENTIONING THIS ON A FORUM ON THE WEB BROUGHT A RESPONSE THAT QUESTIONED THE PROPER FUNTIONING OF THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. THIS FAILURE IS INTERMITTENT. ONE NEVER KNOWS WHETHER THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP WHEN TURNING WILL MEET THE EXPECTED AND REQUIRED RESULT. INTERMITTENT UNINTENDED SMALL BURSTS OF ACCELERATION OCCUR SPORADICALLY WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE SLOWLY THROUGH A PARKING LT FOR INSTANCE. I LIKEN IT TO A DIRTY OR DEFECTIVE VOLUME CONTROL ON AN OLD RADIO, WHERE TURNING THE KNOB TO INCREASE VOLUME HAS LITTLE TO NO EFFECT UNTIL YOU TURN IT FAR ENOUGH TO REACH A NON-DEFECTIVE SPOT IN THE CONTROL AND THE VOLUME IMMEDIATELY JUMPS SIGNIFICANTLY.
THE SRS LIGHT ON MY 2016 NISSAN ROGUE WENT ON. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY TOLD ME THEY NEED TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG TO TRY AND SOLVE THE ISSUE WHICH IS VERY COSTLY. THEY TOLD ME THERE IS A 50/50 CHANCE THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WHICH EXCLUDES ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THE AIRBAG SYSTEM SHOULD NOT BE HAVING ISSUES THIS EARLY ON IN THE CAR'S LIFE. THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT/COLLISION. I DEFINITELY THINK THIS HAS TO BE A DEFECT WITH THE CAR ITSELF. AND I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COSTS OUT OF POCKET. THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE.
TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 59,000 MILES. TRUCK JUST STOP AND LOST POWER. IT WOULDN'T GO INTO GEAR ACCELERATE OR ANYTHING. THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DOING 55MPH IT JUST SHUT DOWN AND THANK GOD I WAS ABLE TO ROLL TO THE SHOULDER. THERE WAS NO WARNING.
DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE HOOD OF THE NISSAN ROGUE IS LATCHED BUT THE ACTUAL HOOD WILL MOVE (FLAP) WHEN DRIVING OVER 45-50 MPH. THIS STARTED THE SAME DAY THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO GET IT IN BECAUSE OF WAIT TIME AT THE LOCATION. I HAVE WENT TO THE PLACE WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AT CARMAX, BUT THEY SAID IT WAS A PROBLEM THAT NISSAN INFORMED THEM ABOUT AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. NISSAN TOLD THEM THAT THERE WERE MANY OTHER VEHICLES THAT HAVE THE SAME DEFECT BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE CAR WAS MADE AND THE ONLY SOLUTION WAS TO TIGHTEN THE HOOD TO A CERTAIN EXTENT ACCORDING TO CARMAX. AFTER LEAVING THE LOCATION AND 3 DAYS LATER THE HOOD OF MY CAR IS FLAPPING AND MOVING EVEN MORE THAN BEFORE, I FEEL LIKE THIS WILL EVETUALLY LEAD TO ANOTHER PROBLEM BECAUSE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE HOOD MOVING WHILE DRIVING AND THE PERSON AT THE CARMAX LOCATION WAS AWARE OF HOW MUCH IT WAS MOVING DURING A TEST DRIVE. I HAVE TRIED TO LOOK UP INFORMATION ABOUT THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I WAS TOLD IT WAS AN ONGOING PROBLEM, BUT AS OF NOW I HAVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING RELATED TO THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING. I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN THAT STATE BECAUSE IT COULD GET WORSE AND EVENTUALLY BECAUSE OF THE SPEED OF THE HIGHWAY I DRIVE ON (70MPH US 1 NC) IT COULD POSSIBLE AFFECT THE LATCH OR SOMETHING ELSE.
SUNROOF TEMPERED GLASS EXPLODED WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, NOTHING ABOVE ME BUT BLUE SKIES. THIS APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT OF SOME KIND.
IN OCTOBER OF 2018 I TOOK MY SUV WITH PICTURES TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I TACHOMETER WAS GOING UP TO HIGH I WAS PUTTING ON THE GAS BUT MY VEHICLE WASN'T MOVING. THEY HAD IT FOR THREE DAYS AND SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. I WENT BACK TO HAVE MY OIL CHANGED AND I LET ME KNOW I WAS STILL HAVING THE PROBLEMS. NOTHING EVERY DONE. ON SATURDAY I WENT AN GOT GAS AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I TOOK IT TO O'REILLY TO SEE WHAT THE CODE SHOWED IT SAID DTC P0776; PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID B. THERE WAS A YOUNG MAN THAT WORKED ON CARS THERE AND HE EXPLAINED TO ME THE ISSUE WAS IN THE TRANSMISSION. HE SAID THIS DOESN'T OCCUR OVER NIGHT AND HAD I TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND I TOLD HIM YES AND HE TOLD ME TO CALL THEM. I CALLED THEM THIS MORNING AND THE SERVICE MANGER TOLD ME I NEVER COMPLAINED AGAIN AND I DID BUT NOTHING WAS DONE. MAYBE IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T PURCHASE IT FROM THEM. I HAVE 66,000 MILES THIS A SHAME THEY DON'T CARE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
TAMAR RECALL - THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT SHOWS THAT THE SEAT IS UNOCCUPIED WHEN SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR CORRECTLY AND THE RPM READING WAS INACCURATE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND "FRONT END COLLISION" APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
As reported now for 3 years that my heat does not work. It’s unsafe and I can not have my children in these cold conditions. I love my rouge but the lack of help repairing this heat issue is ridiculous. I am not paying now $1500+ when I reported this under warranty.
OUR 2016 NISSAN ROGUE RANDOMLY BLOWS ICE COLD AIR WHEN THE HEATER CONTROL IS SET FOR HEAT. LOOKING ONLINE I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM.
THE CAR ALWAYS SEEM TO FEEL AS IF IT NEEDED A WHEEL ALIGNMENT. I UNDERSTAND IT NEEDS A CONTROL ARM, WHICH WAS NEVER FIXED BACK IN 2019 WHEN I BROUGHT IT. THE CAR MIGHT HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BEFORE I BROUGHT IT... I DIDN'T HAVE ANY ACCIDENTS WITH THIS CAR.
I reported my steamed up headlight assemblies to NISSAN while performing oil change and tire rotations early on after my purchase which was 12302016 so end of year model clearance. The moisture in the headlamp affected night visibility. Felt safety concern but told the small weep hole was part of the product design. Why would any manufacturer put a weep hole on the headlamp if it is sealed w/ gaskets & engine compartment assembly sealed w/ gaskets at bulb/wiring harness? While driving in snow/rain, dirty water enters the assembly causing the temporary fogging affecting vision, especially after a warm day and moisture trying to escape via evaporation. ONLY PURE WATER CAN EVER EVAPORATE & DEBRIS DIRT left behind is impossible for owner to clean as this is CLOSED HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. Other complaint within a few years of ownership was the oxidation of the poor quality plastic used on the headlight assembly. I BOUGHT A CAR COVER to reduce sun damage once I had issues since this affects safety/driving visibility. I cannot drive w/ HIGH BEAMS in a CITY. I only have 55K miles as I have other vehicles that I drive & am very disappointed as I must now replace the entire two headlight assemblies BUT DO NOT WANT ANY OEM PRODUCT as I see their product as DEFFECTIVE and POOR DESIGN. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN WITH VISIBILITY WHEN USING HEADLIGHTS which is OK if on due to rain during the daytime BUT NIGHT TIME VISIBILITY is TERRIBLE. Reported finally up the chain at NISSAN but want to report to your safety division. I cannot believe they were able to get away with this design FLAW & dismiss our concerns over safety for years. Told $2,000 for them to replace but I don't want their DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES so now forced to research and purchase elsewhere with NO WEEP HOLE. All headlamps should be factory sealed and whoever thought this was a way to avoid issues with poorly manufactured and sealed headlight steam complaints just made situation worse!
TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 69450 MILE SOLENOID COMPARTMENT B INSIDE TRANSMISSION DEALER SAYS TRANSMISSION NEEDS REPLACING CAR OUTSIDE OF WARRANTEE FOR POWERTRAIN OF 60000 MILES. CAR TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING WHILE ON HIGHWAY IN CRUISE CONTROL RPM REVIVING HIGH WITHOUT PRESSING THE ACCELARATOR EVENTUALLY STOPPED HAD TO TOW TO DEALER.
2016 NISSAN ROGUE SL AWD FORWARD EMERGENCY BREAKING SYSTEM GIVES WARNING WHEN THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS SPORADICALLY, DAY OR NIGHT, WET OR DRY ATMOSPHERE, AND AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS (STRAIGHT STRETCHS OF HIGHWAY, 4 WAY INTERSECTIONS, STOPLIGHTS, RAILROAD CROSSINGS, BRIDGES/OVERPASSES). IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE MULTIPLE TIMES AS WELL AS ANOTHER LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP EXPRESSING THIS ISSUE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY SENSOR WAS BAD SO IT WAS REPLACED AND THE CODES WERE ERASED FROM THE SYSTEM. THIS ISSUE STILL HAPPENS AFTER THAT REPAIR. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SERVICE ADVISORS THAT IT'S BECAUSE THE SENSOR IS DIRTY OR IT'S SOMETHING THAT JUST HAPPENS. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER REPAIR WHO STATE THEY ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH ME BUT THEY ONLY KEEP MY CAR FOR A FEW HOURS OR A DAY AND HAVE A TECHNICIAN DRIVE IT TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE WITH NO SUCCESS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IF THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE THEN THERE IS NO REPAIR FOR IT. I UNDERSTANDT THAT BUT, I AM SCARED THAT IT IS GOING TO ACTUALLY ACTIVATE WHILE I AM TRAVELING TO AND FROM WORK ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED. MY "I THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE BASED OF SAFETY FEATURES VEHICLE" DOES NOT FEEL SO SAFE ANYMORE. I WILL NOT LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE VEHICLE ME OUT OF FEAR THAT I MAY CAUSE THEM HARM WITH THIS ISSUE.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS SCRAPE AGAINST THE HOOD OF THE CAR WHEN LIFTED FOR CLEANING/REPLACING. THIS DAMAGED THE PAINT.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER (HARBOR NISSAN, 4336 TAMIAMI TRAIL, PORT CHARLOTTE, FL 33980) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR HANDLE WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,300.
THE CAR HAS IDLING ISSUES AND ISSUES WITH HARD VIBRATIONS IN THE FRONT AREA OF THE VEHICLE. THE RPM'S WERE ADJUSTED BUT THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE AND I WAS TOLD IT IS THE WAY THE MOTOR SITS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT HAVING THIS ISSUE WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN MARCH OF 2018. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR MOVING OR IF I AM TURNING OR WHERE I AM DRIVING. THIS ISSUE PERSISTS.
WHILE ENTERING A LEFT TURN LANE (UNSURE OF SPEED AS WAS SLOWING FOR THE RED LIGHT), VEHICLE BUMPED A CURB ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. DID NOT GO OVER IT, BRUSHED AGAINST IT. NO BODY DAMAGE EXCEPT SOME SCRAPING ON THE RIMS OF THE WHEELS. THE TIRES REMAINED INFLATED. HOWEVER, THE SENSOR DETECTED IT AS A SIDE IMPACT, AND DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAGS (NOT THE STEERING WHEEL, JUST THE SIDE) DEPLOYED, INJURING AND DISORIENTING THE DRIVER. VEHICLE WAS UNDER CONTROL, AND DRIVER WAS IN NO DANGER UNTIL AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY ASSERTED THAT THE SENSOR ACTED PROPERLY AS THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A ROLL OVER (THEN SHOULDN'T ALL OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED?). THE SENSOR IS WAY TOO SENSITIVE AND DANGEROUS AS I WAS SEVERELY DISORIENTED (AND MAY HAVE BRIEFLY LOST CONSCIOUSNESS) FROM THE AIRBAGS AND AM LUCKY THAT I OR SOMEONE ELSE WAS NOT MORE SERIOUSLY INJURED. FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT, THE INSURANCE AGENT, THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER, ETC. WERE SHOCKED THAT THE AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED IN THIS SITUATION. BRUSHING CURBS IS WELL WITHIN THE NORMAL PARAMETERS OF DRIVING AND SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED THE AIRBAGS TO GO OFF.
CAR DOES NOT GO INTO GEAR. SLIPS OUT OF GEAR WHEN DRIVING. WILL NOT ACCELERATE AFTER STOPPING. IT REVS UP AND THEN ACCELERATES QUICKLY ALMOST CAUSING ME TO HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME.
THE AIRBAGS ON MY 2016 NISSAN ROGUE NEVER DEPLOYED. I WAS DRIVING 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I HAD A SNEEZING SPELL. MY EYES CLOSED AND MY ARM JERKED THE WHEEL DURING THE SPELL. MY CAR TURNED INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE OFF THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT HAPPENED SO FAST THAT I NEVER EVEN APPLIED THE BRAKES. MY CAR PLOWED THROUGH THE THICK WOODS AND TREES FOR OVER 500FT AT FULL HIGHWAY SPEED.. FINALLY COMING TO REST AFTER MAKING HEAD ON CONTACT WITH A BIG TREE. WHEN MY CAR WAS BEING TOWED OUT OF WOODS, THE TOW TUCK DRIVER FOUND THE AIRBAG SENSOR BROKEN OFF UNDERNEATH THE CAR. I HAVE INCLUDED SEVERAL PICS FROM THE ACCIDENT SCENE AND FROM THE TOW YARD WHERE MY CAR WAS BROUGHT. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR FROM THE FORCE OF THE IMPACT. THE RESULTING DAMAGE RESULTED IN THE CAR BEING A TOTAL LOSS WITH INSURANCE COMPANY . PICTURES SHOWING THE INSIDE OF THE CAR REFLECT THE FACT NO AIRBAGS EVER WENT OFF. I ALSO INCLUDED A PICTURE SHOWING THE BROKEN OFF SENSOR SITTING ON MY HOOD. BY THE GRACE OF GOD I WAS NOT SERIOUSLY HURT IN THE CRASH. BUT I AND REPORTING THE CRASH BECAUSE THE NEXT PERSON MAY NOT BE SO LUCKY. THERE CLEARLY IN A DESIGN FLAW. YOU WOULD THINK IF THE SENSOR BRAKES OFF, THAT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY RELEASE THE AIRBAGS. CLEARLY NOT THE CASE IN MY ACCIDENT.
CAR ONLY HAS 63,000 MILES ON IT AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND SENSOR IN MY CAR WENT OUT AND MY CAR WAS PROPERLY MAINTENANCE LIKE IT SUPPOSE TOO. BUT BEFORE THEN A SENSOR WENT OUT ON MY CAR , I NEVER HEARD OF A MANIFOLD GOING OUT EARLY ON ANY VEHICLE FROM ANY MAKER NOT THIS EARLY AND I FELT WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR IT WAS ALREADY DEFECTED. IN GOOD FAITH, I WOULD THINK THE DEALER WOULD HAVE CHECK IT OUT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT, APPARENTLY NOT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON NOVEMBER 11 AND NOW I'M EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS !
WITHOUT WARNING, THE ENGINE IN MY CAR INTERMITTENTLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. THE CAR LOSES POWER TO THE STEERING WHEEL AND BREAKS. BECAUSE THE CAR IS IN MOTION WHEN THIS OCCURS, I CANNOT PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTART IT. I HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND TURN THE KEY TO RESTART IT. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO OCCUR WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR LONGER DISTANCES, ALTHOUGH NOT ON THE HIGHWAY. USE OF THE AIR CONDITIONER OR HEAT SEEM TO MAKE THE ISSUE WORSE. I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASH ONCE PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. THE BATTERY IS STILL ON, SO THE RADIO IS STILL OPERATIONAL, AS ARE ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS. I OFTEN DON'T KNOW THAT THE ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF UNTIL I TRY TO ACCELERATE OR BREAK AND AM UNABLE TO DO SO. IT IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE. I HAVE ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR A 5 POINT INSPECTION AND TO HAVE THEM DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I WAS TURNED AWAY AND THEY ADVISED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE.
THE EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR IS DEFECTED. IN 90 DEGREE HEAT AFTER DRIVING 2.5 MILES IN THE HEAT AIRCONDITIONER STOPS WORKING. TO FIX IT PART NUMBER IS 2773-4BUOA. NISSAN REFUSES TO REPLACE PART CAUSE COMPUTER CANNOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM.

MY 2016 NISSAN ROGUE EXPERIENCED AN ABRUPT AND TOTAL FAILURE OF THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD LURCH AND LOSE POWER. THIS ABRUPT FAILURE MAKES ME FEEL VERY UNSAFE FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY THAT RIDES IN THIS CAR, HAD IT STALLED ON THE BUSY ST LOUIS MO INTERSTATES WE WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT AND POSSIBLY KILLED, LUCKILY I WAS ON A BUSY, BUT LESS TRAVELED ROAD AND I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 41,000 MILES ON IT. ONCE I GOT TO THE DEALERSHIP, I INSISTED THAT THEY RIDE WITH ME SO THEY KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND NOT TRY TO SAY THAT THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE WHEN DRIVING IT ALONE. THE SERVICE PROFESSIONAL WAS VERY UPFRONT AND HONEST WITH ME AND TOLD ME IT WAS DEFINITELY THE TRANSMISSION AND NISSAN HAS TONS OF THESE ISSUES WITH THEIR VEHICLES. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR OVER A WEEK NOW FOR A TRANSMISSION REBUILD. HOWEVER, NISSAN IS NOT OFFERING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OR ANYTHING ON IT, EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW THEY ARE FAULTY AND DANGEROUS, I WILL ONLY HAVE 20,000 MILES LEFT ON MY WARRANTY ONCE I PICK MY CARE UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP. NISSAN DOESN'T OFFER LOANER CARS TO THOSE WITH WARRANTY WORK THAT NEEDS DONE, WE HAVE TO PAY $35 A DAY DUE TO THEIR FAULTY VEHICLES, THE LEAST THEY CAN DO IS OFFER LOANER VEHICLES FOR WARRANTY WORK! NISSAN NEEDS TO HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR LEMON VEHICLES AND BE REQUIRED TO BUY THEM BACK ON THE FIRST TRANSMISSION FAILURE. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR, EVEN WITH THE REBUILT TRANSMISSION AND I DON'T THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE MY RESPONSIBILITY TO TRADE THE CAR IN, ROLL OVER THOUSANDS TO ANOTHER VEHICLE LOAN AND PAY $1500 OR MORE IN TAXES TO LICENSE AND TITLE ANOTHER VEHICLE. NISSAN NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS AND THEY NEED TO BE FINED FOR THEIR CONTINUED USE OF FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS AND MADE TO BUY BACK FAULTY AND DANGEROUS VEHICLES.

FEBRUARY 2018 FRONT LEFT SIDE MAKING POPPING NOISE OVER BUMPS AND RUBBING NOISE WHILE TURNING TOOK IN TO SUPERIOR OF FAYETTEVILLE AR. MILES 25999 THEY REPLACED THE STRUTS ON THE LEFT SIDE. JULY 5,2018 TOOK BACK TO MUSKOGEE NISSAN FOR THE RIGHT FRONT POPPING AGAIN AND THEY COULD NOT TELL IF IT WAS THE STRUTS OR THE BEARINGS AND ORDERED AND TOOK BACK IN TO REPLACE, MIND YOU THIS TAKES ANYWHERE TO 5 TO 7 HOURS TO FIX AND THEY HAVE NOT ONE TIME ASK IF I NEED A VEHICLE. THIS HAS PUT ME OUT OF WORK AND I DO NOT EXPECT TO HAVE ISSUES WITH A NEW CAR AT THIS TIME THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND WARRANTY WILL BE UP AT 36,000 AND I HAVE AT THIS TIME 34500.

I HAVE SINCE PARKED MY CAR AND AM WAITING TO GET IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT AS WITH EVERYTHING ELSE THEY WILL TELL ME UNLESS THERE IS A PROBLEM REPORTED THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO.
FRONT COLLISION SENSOR GOES OFF AT RANDOM SPEEDS WHILE TRAVELING FORWARD WITH NO ONE ON THE ROAD AHEAD. THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY APPLIES THE BRAKE IN SOME INSTANCES. THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM ALSO RESETS ITSELF PERIODICALLY. PRIOR SERVICE HAS HAD THE ENTIRE BODY CONTROL MODULE REPLACED, BUT ELECTRICAL ISSUES PERSIST. MULTIPLE DEALERS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH ISSUES ARE STILL PRESENT. SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD BY VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY APPLYING BRAKE RANDOMLY AND NISSAN STILL DOES NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THESE INSTANCE HAPPEN ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.

OUR 2016 NISSAN ROGUE WAS STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION AT 6:30 A.M. ON A CITY ROADWAY WHEN WE HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE AND THE SOUND OF BREAKING GLASS. WE OPENED THE COVER TO THE SUN ROOF AND THE SMALLER SUN ROOF ABOVE THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER SEATS WAS SHATTERED, BUT THE GLASS REMAINED INTACT. WE CHECKED THE SURROUNDING AREA AND COULD NOT FIND ANY OBJECT THAT COULD HAVE STRUCK THE VEHICLE, OR PEOPLE. AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS, THE GLASS WAS BROKEN OUTWARDS FROM THE CAR. THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR, AND VISIBILITY WAS GOOD.
THE CONTROL PANEL DISPLAY LOOKS TO BE OUT. IT IS VERY HARD TO READ. IT ONLY DIMS OR BRIGHTENS BUT IS NOT CLEAR ENOUGH TO READ. THIS HAPPENED FROM ONE DAY TO THE NEXT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT 2 YEARS OLD YET AND THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. THIS WAS NOT DUE TO AN ACCIDENT IT APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM SEEMS MORE LIKELY, CAUSE BY A FAULTY ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
ON THE MORNING OF 6/11/2018, WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, I HEARD A LOUD 'GUN SHOT' SOUND. INSPECTION OF MY CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SHOWED NO DAMAGE. DRIVING HOME FROM WORK THAT NIGHT, ABOUT 70MPH, ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD NOISE OVERHEAD. LOOKING OUT MY REARVIEW MIRROR REVEALED THAT MY SUNROOF HAD JUST SHATTERED AND ALL THE CARS BEHIND ME WERE BEING HIT WITH THE SHARDS OF GLASS.
WHEN ACCELERATING ON HIGHWAY OR CITY STREET, I NOTICED VEHICLE BEGAN MAKING A LOUD WHINING/PURRING NOISE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED VEHICLE FROM AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED (AND I DO HAVE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY). THIS WAS A WEDNESDAY SO I WAS GIVEN A LOANER VEHICLE ON THURSDAY WHILE MY CAR WOULD BE IN THE SHOP OVER THE WEEKEND. MONDAY MORNING, NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM DEALERSHIP. TUESDAY, SAME. WEDNESDAY, STILL NO WORD LATE IN THE AFTERNOON SO I HAD TO CALL AND THE SERVICE COORDINATOR INFORMS ME THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION BECAUSE NISSAN STATES THE NOISE THE TRANSMISSION IS MAKING IS NOT "LOUD" ENOUGH. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN OUT ON MY VEHICLE THAT IS TITLED "INFORMATION TO PREVENT CVT REPLACEMENT DUE TO MISDIAGNOSIS OF NOISE" THAT THE DEALERSHIP'S SHOP FOREMAN WENT THROUGH AND THEIR CONCLUSION WAS THAT THIS IS WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. I CALLED NISSAN AND OPENED A CASE. MY CASE MANAGER SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP AND MY CASE WAS CLOSED BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THE SHOP TECHNICIAN AND NISSAN, THERE'S NOTHING "MECHANICALLY" WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE AND IT IS "WORKING PROPERLY" IT JUST MAKES AN UNPLEASANT NOISE. SO I CALLED NISSAN AND RE-OPENED MY CASE AND THE ASSISTANT OF MY CASE MANAGER INFORMS ME THAT MY NEXT STEP WOULD BE TO TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM DIAGNOSE IT AND SEE IF THEIR FINDINGS ARE DIFFERENT. THERE ARE NO NEARBY ALTERNATE NISSAN DEALERSHIPS THAT I CAN EASILY TAKE MY VEHICLE TO. NISSAN IS FORCING ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING MY VEHICLE DESPITE THEM KNOWING THERE IS A KNOWN FAILURE AND EXPECTING ME TO CONTINUE MAKING MONTHLY PAYMENTS FOR A VEHICLE THAT I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A DEALER, BUT THE CONTACT DID NOT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

NOT TOO HAPPY WITH NISSAN SINCE MY RESEARCH LED TO A WEBSITE THAT STATED THE ROGUE WAS IN THE TOP 10 FOR VEHICLES WITH MOST RANDOMLY EXPLODING SUNROOFS.

THE CONTACT CALLED DAVIDSON NISSAN (18423 US-11, WATERTOWN, NY 13601) WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO FILE A HOMEOWNER'S CLAIM AND THE DEALER WOULD THEN PAY FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE RODENT INFESTATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,700. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHEN DRIVING THE POSTED SPEED LIMITS ON EXPRESSWAY THE HOOD FLUTTERS UP AND DOWN. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS NOT SECURELY LATCHED ON. I PULLED OVER MULTIPLE TIMES TO CHECK IF HOOD WAS SECURELY LATCHED AND IT 'WAS DEFINITELY LOOSE. I TOOK INTO NISSAN FOR SERVICING AND THEY SAID IT WAS IN THE SPECIFIED PARAMETER- THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THEIR CUSTOMER CARE LINE TO SEE IF SOMETHING COULD BE DONE. I DROVE BELOW THE POSTED LIMIT FOR FEAR THAT THE HOOD WOULD FLY BACK AND HIT THE WINDSCREEN. THE HOOD SEEMS FLLIMISILY MANUFACTURED AND COULD BE OF STURDIER QUALITY.
