WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE OFF-RAMP GOING APPROX. 35 MPH, THEN TURNING LEFT, MY 2020 NISSAN ROGUE SV AWD, SUDDENLY AND AUTOMATICALLY CAME TO AN ALMOST COMPLETE STOP. I WAS ABLE TO CRUISE TO THE SHOULDER AND AVOID BEING HIT BY A VEHICLE BEHIND ME.
DRIVING DOWN INTERSTATE ON NICE CLEAR DAY WITH MINIMAL TRAFFIC, CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 70MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE CRUISE DISENGAGES, WARNING LIGHT BEGINS TO APPEAR ON DASH SHOWING 2 CARS COLLIDING WITH AUDIBLE ALARM INFORMING ME THAT THE FRONT RADAR IS OBSTRUCTED. CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT WORK AND ANY ATTEMPT TO USE CRUISE CONTROL IS MET WITH AUDIBLE ALARM AND WARNING THAT FRONT RADAR IS OBSTRUCTED. I STOP, CHECK ALL RADAR/SENSORS FOR DEBRI... EVERYTHING IS FINE, NO BUGS, NOT DEBRI, NO OBSTRUCTION. I RESTART ENGINE, SAME WARNING APPEARS BEFORE I EVEN PUT TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE. START DRIVING, SAME SITUATION, FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTED, CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE. AFTER 10 MILES OR SO THE FLASING LIGHT GOES OFF, EVERYTHING RETURNS TO NORMAL, CRUISE CONTROL WORKS PROPERLY. CAR MAY EXPERIENCE THIS OROBLEM TWICE IN HUNDRED MILE TRIP ON PERFECTLY CLEAR DAY. OTHER TIMES IT MAY NOT HAPPEN AT ALL ON A 100 MILE TRIP. WHEN THIS DOES HAPPEN IN HEAVY TRAFFIC THE SITUATION BECOMES DANGEROUS QUICKLY BECAUSE THE AUTOMATED BRAKING IS DISABLED AND IF THE RADIO IS ON IT'S EASY TO NOT REALIZE THE SYSTEM IS OFF UNTIL YOUR SPEED IS REDUCED SIGNIFICANTLY. I HAVE HAD 2 CLOSE CALLS BECAUSE OF THIS - ONE WITH A CAR IN FRONT OF ME STOPPING ABRUPTLY AND THE SYSTEM FAILED TO MAINTAIN THE SELECTED GAP BETWEEN MY VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME SO I HAD TO VEER ONTO THE MEDIAN TO AVOID A COLLISION; THE SECOND TIME THE CRUISE ABRUPTLY DISENGAGED TRAFFIC BEHIND ME ALMOST RAN INTO ME WHICH CAUSED VEHICLES BEHIND ME TO HAVE A CLOSE CALL. SO FAR THIS PROBLEM HAS ALWAYS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY OR INTERSTATE, NEVER IN TOWN. SOMETIMES WHEN IT IS RAINING REALLY HARD THE SAME WARNING LIGHT & AUDIBLE ALARM WILL SOUND, HOWEVER CRUISE CONTROL REMAINS OPERATIONAL AS DOES THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING. SO IT APPEARS TO WORK PROPERLY AT TIMES.
CAR DRIVING ALONG NORMALLY WHEN SUDDENLY AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKE APPLIED ITSELF..THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN FIRST MONTH OF OWNERSHIP..FIRST APPROACHING BRIDGE..2ND ON RESIDENTIAL ROAD AND THIRD WHEN BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY. AT NO TIME DURING THESE STOPPAGES WAS A VEHICLE OR OTHER OBSTACLE CLOSE BY.. TEXTED SALESMAN WHO ADVISED TURNING OFF ABS.. WILL CALL TOMORROW TO DEALER ( TODAY SUNDAY) TO ATTEMPT TO HAVE FIXED.. DON'T THINK THERE'S RECALL YET BUT THERE ARE CLASS ACTION SUITS .. VEHICLE WAS MOVING ON ALL 3 OCCASIONS
MY EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED AS I WAS DRIVING. I WAS GOING APPROX. 35 MILES PER HOUR ON A CITY STREET WHEN IT HAPPENED. IT MADE A LOUD GRINDING SOUND AS IT JERKED MY VEHICLE TO AN IMMEDIATE STOP IN TRAFFIC, CAUSING ALL THE SEAT BELTS TO JERK TIGHT AS WE WERE THROWN AGAINST THEM. IT ONLY LASTED FOR A SPLIT SECOND AND I WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING.
The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at highway speeds, the Forward Collision-Avoidance System erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in the middle of the highway. During the failure, there were no other vehicles or objects nearby to cause the system to activate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER BRAND NEW NISSAN ROGUE 2020, SHE WAS HEADED TO WORK AND IT WAS SNOWING. AS SHE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE AUTOMATED EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM LITERALLY SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AT FULL FORCE MAKING HER SLIP AND GO OVER A CURB, MY WIFE DID NOT EVEN TOUCH THE BRAKES ALL SHE HAD TIME TO DO WAS BRACE FOR THE CRASH. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY I WOULD NOT HAVE A WIFE RIGHT NOW THIS HAPPENED ON 01/27/2021. THE COLLISION SYSTEM OF THE VEHICLE CAUSED THIS DUE TO WHAT THE VEHICLE ITSELF IS SAYING MALFUNCTION IN THE FRONT AND REAR COLLISION SYSTEMS. SHE WAS SCARED TO DEATH THE COLLISION SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO STOP ACCIDENTS NOT CAUSE THEM. I HAVE A CLAIM NUMBER WITH NISSAN AS WELL FOR THIS [XXX}. MY VEHICLES RIM IS CRACKED, INNER TIE RODS BROKE, THE COLLISION SYSTEM WILL NOT LET ME DRIVE THE CAR AS WHEN I START MOVING IT THE BRAKES ENGAGE IMMEDIATELY ITS MAKING A HORRIBLE SHAKING NOISE LIKE ITS STALLING AND I CAN HEAR THE BRAKES ENGAGING AND TRYING TO ACTIVELY STOP THE VEHICLE. I DO NOT WANT MY WIFE OR ANYONE DRIVING THIS CAR. THIS IS SUPER DANGEROUS AND I WANT THOSE SENSORS EITHER REMOVED OR NISSAN WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR MY CAR SO I CAN GET A NEW ONE THIS COULD KILL THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IF ITS NOT CORRECTED. SEVERAL OCASIONS MY 2020 NISSAN ROGUE WILL UNEXPECTEDLY BREAK WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL DEALER FOR SERVICE. THEY TOLD ME THEY HOOKED IT UP TO A DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER AND NO ISSUES WERE FOUND. I LEFT IN THE CAR WITH NO REPAIR DONE. OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS THE VEHICLE HAD SEVERAL UNEXPECTED BREAKING OCCURRENCES. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER. HE TOLD ME HE NEEDED THE VEHICLE FOR TWO DAYS AND WHEN COULD I BRING IT IN. WE AGREED ON A DATE AND THE VEHICLE WAS DROPPED OFF. DURING THE TIME BETWEEN CONTACT AND THE APPOITMENT I FOUND NISSAN TECHNICAL BULLETIN TSB NTB18-041C WHICH IS A TSB ABOUT FALSE ACTIVATION OF THE AEB SYSTEM. I BROUGHT THIS TO THE SERVICE MANAGER ATTENTION AND HE SAID HE WOULD LOOK INTO IT. I DROPPED THE VEHICLE OFF AND HE HAD HIS MASTER TECHNICIAN LOOK AT THE VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DROVE THE VEHICLE AND FOUND NO ISSUES. THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER SHOWED NO ERROR CODES. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE TSB I WAS TOLD THAT IT DID NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD TO KEEP A LOG OF WHEN AND WHERE THE FALSE ACTIVATION EVENTS HAPPENED AND THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO. I HAVE ATTACHED THE TSB TO THIS COMPLAINT. WITH NO RESOLUTION TO THIS SAFETY ISSUE FROM THE DEALER AND NOWHERE ELSE TO TURN FOR HELP I AM NOW VERY HESITANT TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE MAY STOP AT ANY TIME AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH.
LANE ASSIST WILL NOT STAY ON EVEN ON FREEWAY OR NEW ROAD. COMES ON AND GOES OFF FOR NO REASON. NISSAN SERVICE PERSON TOLD ME ITS NEW TECHNOLOGY THE ROAD MUST BE PERFECT TO WORK PROPERLY. WHY WOULD YOU PUT IN A TECHNOLOGY TO KEEP YOU IN THE LANE AND IT DOESN'T WORK 30-40% OF THE TIME.
JANUARY 8TH MY WIFE BACKED UP THE VEHICLE TO TURN AROUND. WHEN PUT IN DRIVE A TRIANGLE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND VEHICLE LOCKED UP REFUSING TO MOVE FORWARD. COULD SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE AND NO CHANGE. VEHICLE BRAKES ACTED LOCKED UP. HAD TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE FOR 5 MINUTES TO RESET THEM WAS ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD. AROUND 50 MILES ON VEHICLE AT THAT TIME. ON JANUARY 12 TH, 13TH AND 15TH DRIVING HOME IN THE DARK THE FORWARD CRASH LIGHT BLINKS FOR 2 TO 3 MINUTES WHEN THE HIGH BEAMS ARE TURNED ON. WEATHER ON THE 12TH AND 13TH WERE CLEAR AND WAS FLURRIES ON THE 15TH. NO OBSTRUCTION OF THE SENSORS ON FRONT OF VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD 60 TO 100 MILES ON IT ON THESES DAYS. DEALERSHIP SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AND LOOKED AT VEHICLE ON JANUARY 19TH. THE REPORT AND DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS BUT HAVE NO SOLUTIONS TO FIXING THE PROBLEM.
The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the contact heard an abnormal sound. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the front driver’s and passenger’s side strut bearing assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer and had the front driver’s and passenger’s side strut bearing assembly replaced a second time. The contact experienced the failure a third time. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.
I HAVE A 2020 NISSAN ROGUE AND I WAS DRIVING DOWN AN EMPTY ROGUE AND THE AUTOMATIC BREAKING SYSTEM LIGHT KEPT COMING ON. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IF IT AUTOMATIC BREAK WHEN I AM IN THE HIGHWAY. I NOTICED MORE THAN 800 COMPLAINTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT NISSAN IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THEY NEED TO DO A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR KILLED.
DRIVING DOWN OHIO PIKE AFTER A SHORT STOP, CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS DRIVING IN A LOW GEAR OR NOT SHIFTING AND THE MANUAL OPTION WAS NOT ENGAGED. TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 35-45 MPH FOR ABOUT A MILE OR SO WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED TO THE LEFT AND CAR DECELERATED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC TURN LANE. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS IN TURN LANE. I PUT CAR IN PARK, COLLECTED MY THOUGHTS, DAUGHTER REACHED OVER AND PUT HAZARDS ON. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY BUT DRY CONDITIONS. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR TO A PARKING LOT ACROSS THE TWO LANES, TURN THE CAR OFF, RESTAR IT DRIVE IT AROUND THE PARKING LOT AND THEN ATTEMPT TO DRIVE IT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP 3 MILES AWAY. THE CAR STILL SEEMED TO NOT DRIVE LIKE IT WAS IN THE CORRECT GEAR SO PULLED OFF INTO A RESTAURANT PARKING LOT AND EVENTUALLY WAS TOWED TO CLOSEST NISSAN. IT HAS BEEN ONE WEEK, I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY CAR BACK BECAUSE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT RELEASE IT BACK TO ME FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THEY ARE WORKING WITH NISSAN. I WAS GIVEN A LOANER CAR TO GET HOME IN ANOTHER STATE. THIS IS IS A LEASE CAR THAT I AM PAYING FOR AND NOT ABLE TO USE AND NOW I AM SCARED TO DRIVE. AS OF NOW DEALERSHIP TOLD ME A WIRE CAME LOOSE FROM THE COMPUTER.
I was driving approximately 40 mph on a road that was unoccupied by anybody else and the light started flashing and my brakes locked up in the middle of the road for about 3 seconds and then released. I reported it to the Nissan dealership they claimed that there was nothing wrong. I went back to the Nissan dealership after contacting Nissan corporation and they told me that there was a sensor that they had to replace but after they replaced said sensor my rear sonar doesn't work so I believe they just disconnected something and then the dealership took back the paperwork claiming that they were going to do more research on the issue.
THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW ON JUNE 2020. FIRST INCIDENT WAS IN NOVEMBER 2020 I WAS DRIVING AT 55MPH ON A HIGHWAY AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS TURNED ON AND MY CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND THE CAR STARTED BEEPING LETTING ME KNOW OF THE POSSIBLE COLLISION. THERE WAS CLEARLY NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME BUT THANKS TO THIS INCIDENT I CAME SO CLOSE TO CAUSING A MONSTROUS CHAIN EFFECT OF AN ACCIDENT AND COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL IF SOMEONE WOULD HAVE REAR ENDED ME GIVEN THE SPEED EVERYONE IS TRAVELING AND MY CAR SUDDENLY STOPPING. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP IT WAS PURCHASED FROM AND THEY "DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE" AND REPLACED THE ELECTRIC MODULE OF THE CAR. SINCE THAT INCIDENT I AM VERY FEARFUL THAT IT'LL HAPPEN AGAIN. IT'S TERRIBLE THAT I'M DRIVING A CARE I DON'T EVEN FEEL SAFE IN AND STILL PAYING. ALSO THERE'S THIS NOISE COMING FROM THE BACK AXEL'S THEY SOUND LIKE IF THERE BRAKING APART VERY LOUD AND EVERY TIME I BACK UP THEY CAN EVEN BE HEARD AND IT TURNS HEADS AND ITS TERRIBLE AGAIN I'M EMBARRASSED OF THE LOUD NOISE OF IT AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ALL THEY CAN SAY IS "CANT HEAR AND CANT FIX ISSUE SINCE ITS NON-EXISTENT". ALSO THE RADIO RANDOMLY WILL SHUT OFF AND POWER ON AT ANY TIME THEN SPEAKERS START TO SOUND LIKE IF SOMEONE DROPPED WATER INSIDE OF THEM! AND AGAIN THE DEALERSHIPS RESPONSE "NO ISSUE AT THE TIME OF SERVICE" AND THERE RECOMMENDATION IS TO RECORD IT ON MY PHONE WHEN IT HAPPENS. WELL I CANT DO THAT IF I'M DRIVING. THIS CAR IS THE DEFINITION OF A LEMON. NOT HAPPY OF THE PURCHASE AND WOULDN'T RECOMMENDED THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE.
The power assisted rear hatch on my Nissan Rogue on occasion will open to the fullest height then suddenly close again with out any warning. When the hatch comes down, there is no electrical power to re-operate this hatch and is very heavy, dead weight and traps you under the hatch, or smack me in the head depending on my body location at time of closing.. It is hard for me as an adult to re-open the powerless hatch, but it is very troublesome to think about what would happen to a small child if trapped under the hatch. I bought this car used and returned to the dealer on 06/26/23 to report this problem and to have it repaired. Needlessly, the problem still exist. This problem as happened over twenty times and there is no set pattern as to when it will happen. The dealer I purchased this car from is Tri-Cities Nissan 2526 Bristol Hwy Johnson City, TN 37601 (423-952-1953) I am reporting this problem because it is a major safety concern for a small child or weakened senior citizen.
MY 2020 NISSAN ROGUE I ONLY HAD ABOUT 3 DAYS AND I WAS DRIVING TURNING OUT OF A CHURCH PARKING LOT AND IT CUT OFF ON ME. I TRIED TO CRANK IT AND IT WOULD NOT CRANK. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ALSO ON. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED. THE SECOND 2020 NISSAN ROGUE I GOT FROM THE SAME DEALERSHIP, I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE FEB/AEB LIGHT COMING SINCE SEPTEMBER. NO ONE, NO ANIMALS, NO FOG, NO RAIN, NO OTHER CARS ARE NEAR ME WHEN THIS LIGHT KEPT COMING ON, THAT I HAVE VIDEO OF. HAD IT LOOKED AT AT TWO DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIPS ONE FOUND PAST CODES IN OCT AND THE OTHER ON 11/3 SAID EVERYTHING WAS PERFECTLY FINE NOTHING WAS WRONG. ON 11/4 I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35-40 MILES PER HOUR ON A CITY STREET AND MY CAR JUST BRAKED ON ME OUT OF NO WHERE. AND A RED/ORANGE LIGHT WITH A CAR IN THE MIDDLE WITH A SOUND WAVE TYPE SYMBOL BLINKED ON THE DASHBOARD AND WHEN OFF BEFORE I KNEW IT. IT WAS TERRIFYING AND THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS HURT BECAUSE OUR HEADS FLEW FORWARD AND THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. NO CARS WERE IN FRONT OF ME DURING THIS TIME, BUT THERE WERE SOME BEHIND ME THAT COULD HAVE HIT ME AND CAUSED A MAJOR ACCIDENT. THE DEALERSHIPS ARE AWARE AND SO IS NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS, BUT I AM STILL BEING TOLD IT IS OKAY TO DRIVE THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CODES THAT THE COMPUTER CAN FIND.
THREE SEPARATE INCIDENTS HAVE HAPPENED SINCE LEASING THIS CAR ON SUNDAY EVENING ON NOVEMBER 1, 2020. THE FIRST 2 HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER I LEFT THE SUPERMARKET, I WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT & CHECKED ALL MY MIRRORS AND WINDOWS PRIOR TO PULLING OUT WHEN I FELT IN GUT THAT SOMETHING WASN'T RIGHT, I COVERED MY BRAKES WHILE SLOWLY PULLING OUT AND ASKED MY SON TO CHECK OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THERE HAD BEEN A CHILD INCHES AWAY FROM MY CAR AND I DID NOT SEE NOR WAS ALERTED BY THE VEHICLE. THE SECOND, INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN I RETURNED HOME WITH THE GROCERIES AND MY CHILDREN WERE EXITING THE VEHICLE WITH THE GROCERIES, MY SON THEN CAME BACK TO CHECK TO SEE IF I NEEDED SOMETHING ELSE CARRIED UPSTAIRS AND I DID NOT SEE MY SON AS I BEGAN PULLING OFF, MY SON CHILDREN BOTH YELLED IN VOICES OF DISTRESS..MOM! STOP!!! I SAID, WHAT HAPPENED, HE SAID YOU ALMOST RAN ME OVER. AGAIN, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ALERT ME THAT SOMEONE WAS IN AN AREA THAT I COULDN'T SEE. I COULDN'T LIVE WITH MYSELF IF I CAUSED BODILY INJURY TO MY SON THAT COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE GRAVE DANGER, LOSS OF A LIMB OR DEATH. THE THIRD INCIDENT HAPPENED ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:46PM, I HAD BEEN DRIVING CAUTIOUSLY AS I DO ADHERING TO THE SPEED LIMIT, I NOTICED A BICYCLIST PEDALING ALONG HIS WAY, IT SEEMS AS IF WE WERE HEADING TOWARDS THE SAME DIRECTION SO I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE CAUTIOUSLY AS I WAS APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION TO MAKE A LEFT, I CHECKED ALL THREE MIRRORS AND EVEN LOOKED BACK DIDN'T SEE HIM SO I BEGAN TO MAKE A LEFT AS I WAS TURNING LEFT I COULD SEE HIM IN MY PERIPHERAL VISION APPROACHING THE CROSS WALK. I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED MY VEHICLE GIVING HIM THE RIGHT WAY AND THANKING GOD THAT I DID NOT HIT HIM. AGAIN, MY VEHICLE DID NOT ALERT ME THAT HE WAS ANYWHERE NEAR MY CAR MEANWHILE HE WAS EXTREMELY CLOSE,
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD BUZZING SOUND WITH A FLASHING LIGHT COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER. THE CONTACT WAS MOMENTARILY UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AND THE BRAKES WOULD NOT OPERATE AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO BE STALLING BEFORE SUDDENLY DRIVING AS NORMAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIDDLETOWN NISSAN LOCATED AT 1153 NEWFIELD ST, MIDDLETOWN, CT 06457 WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,300.
Purchased my care in September of 2020. Shortly, after having my car I noticed this orange light flash in dash. I was able to capture a picture. Then, I sent it to my car salesman. He stated that he did not know what it was. So, it has done this several times since then. I researched this light and found out that it is the braking system. Even when there is nothing in the presence of the car it will appear. This is a scary thing. Consumer stated car would stop with nothing in front of it or the speed had not accelerated over 20 miles.
AEB light flashes on and off at random driving times. sent in for inspection no code generated but have videos of each one. Safety feature that is no longer a safety feature, but a hazard to self and others while driving. when ur car stops would be my #1 one indicator especially on the freeway and at random times= accident, the possible death of self and others! no, the dealer cant no regenerate the code. no other inspection except the local dealer. No other warnings. light just randomly appeared 2 days after the purchase of the car, a few months later, etc same pattern. was informed weather, then dirt. NOT sure how a person can avoid weather; fog, condensation, moisture. or bugs hitting ur windshield or review mirrors while driving. I would have to bubble wrap my car for that and those things not to possibly effect this sensor.

SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS ON THE HIGHWAY (55 MPH), IT CAUSED THE DRIVERS BODY TO BE PUSHED FORWARD ONTO THE SEATBELT. THE DRIVER EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT DISCOMFORT AFTER EACH EVENT. LUCKILY THERE WERE NO VEHICLES BEHIND ME AS THE ROGUE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. AFTER THE VEHICLE STOPPED, THE FRONT COLLISION LIGHT WENT OUT AND THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN AS NORMAL.

I PURCHASED A 2020 NISSAN ROGUE SV THAT HAS A POWER ADJUSTABLE DRIVERS SET. THE SLIDE RAIL ASSEMBLY HAS PLAY IN IT WHEN ADJUSTED TO MY DRIVING POSITION. IT ROCKS BACK DURING ACCELERATION AND ROCKS FORWARD DURING BREAKING. I CAN SIT IN THE SEAT STATIONARY AND MOVE IT FORWARD AND BACKWARD WITH MY BODY WEIGHT. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP TESTED SEVERAL OTHER 2020 MODELS AND FOUND 3 OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. ONE OF THEM ROCKED BACK AND FORTH EVEN WORSE THAN MINE. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND WAS TOLD BY THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT THEIR INTERNAL REVIEW WAS " THIS IS A NATURAL OCCURRENCE OF THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS." I OWNED A 2017 ROGUE WITH THE SAME SEAT. THERE WAS NEVER ANY PLAY OR MOVEMENT WITH THE DRIVERS SEAT. MY CONCERNS ARE THAT IF UPON IMPACT EITHER FRONT CRASH OR BEING HIT FROM THE REAR, THIS MOVEMENT IN THE SEAT COULD POSSIBLY RESULT IN THE SEAT BREAKING FREE DUE TO THE IMPROPER GAP BETWEEN THE SLIDE RAIL ASSEMBLY PIECES. IT IS ALSO A SEVERE DISTRACTION TO ME AS THE DRIVER. DISTRACTED DRIVING SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY IN THIS MATTER. MY LAST CONCERN IS THIS. HOW MANY OF THESE FAULTY POWER SEATS ARE OUT ON THE ROADS ALREADY? I DON'T WANT TO SEE A SINGLE PERSON CAUSED HARM DURING A CRASH. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THESE POWER SEATS FROM NISSAN IMMEDIATELY. I took it to Hgreg twice. Because I was loosing air in my passenger tire. They told me there was a nail in it. Hut never plug it. They zip tie the bottom where everything was hanging. NISSAN HAS REPLACED THE DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER WITH AVERAGE SPEED. THE ANALOG SPEEDOMETER IS TO THE RIGHT. THIS MAKES DRIVING THE VEHICLE DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOURSELF TO LOOK TO THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE SPEED. WHEN I FIRST DROVE THE VEHICLE IT WAS ON AVERAGE SPEED WHICH WAS READ 21 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS ACTUALLY DOING 70 MILES PER HOUR. THIS CAN BE EASILY CORRECTED WITH A COMPUTER UP DATE. I WAS TOTAL I COULD PAY FOR AN UPDATE. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY TO KNOW HOW FAST I AM GOING. THIS SHOULD BE STANDARD ON ALL VEHICLES IF THE ANALOG SPEEDOMETER IS NOT IN THE CENTER.
Our 2020 Nissan Rouge SV has experienced a failure of the driver door electric door actuator. It will not lock using the electric door lock buttons inside the car, the button on the exterior door handle, or using the FOB. The result is that you think the car is locked, but the driver door is NOT locked and opening the door causes the car alarm to go off (the car thinks it is locked). The lock can be manually locked and unlocked using the manual actuator (inside the car on the handle). This problem is described on the internet and there is at least one class action lawsuit in discussion (https://sauderschelkopf.com/automotive/nissan-altima-and-rogue-door-lock-failure-class-action-investigation/). This failure could result in safety issues (thinking the door is locked when it is not) both while driving at highway speeds or during an emergency exit scenario where you cannot unlock the door. I think it should be a mandatory recall to fix these door locks by Nissan. In the meantime, I will try to "fix" it in our car (but will save the bad parts). I have not contacted my dealer (don't really like them). There were no warnings other than we started setting off the car alarm when we opened the door that should have been locked.

THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
We have 3 2020 Nissan Rogue SV's in our family. The rear seat belts do not stay up and are too short. We have reported this to the dealer, Gainesville Nissan, and all they say is we know it is a problem, but Nissan does not have a fix. We recently had friends in the car and the rear seatbelt could not be latched because the seat belt catch is too low in the seat to be used. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE RECALL BY NISSAN!!!!!!!!! This has happened since we purchased the car in December of 2019.
Our family owns 3 Nissan 2020 Rogue SV's. In all three the rear seat belts go between the seats and cannot be retrieved from above. I reported this to NHTSA previously and did not receive a reply since this is an extreme safety issue. We are not able to safely transport anyone in the backseat.
