WHILE COMING OFF RAMP VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP, CAUSING CONSUMER TO LOSE CONTROL OF VEHICLE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND DEALER REPLACED SUSPENSION SYSTEM.*AK
WHEN GOING AROUND A CURVE OR SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP VEHICLE SHUTS OFF. CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
THE TRUNK LID ON MY 2002 NISSAN SENTRA GXE IS FREE FALLING AND HAS INJURED MANY. THE DEALER STATES THAT MY TRUNK IS WITHIN NORMAL OPERATION FOR MY VEHICLE. I CONSIDER IT TO BE VERY DANGEROUS. IT HAS FALLEN ON THE TOP OF CHILDREN'S HEAD AND SHOULDERS CAUSING MUCH PAIN. I HAVE INVESTIGATED TO DISCOVER THAT ALL THE TRUNK LIDS OF THE 02 SENTRA'S THAT I TESTED ARE FREE FALLING. THE 04 SENTRA'S DO NOT HAVE THIS SAFETY FLAW. I AM VERY WORRIED THAT THIS IS GOING TO SERIOUSLY HURT SOMEONE. SINCE THE PURCHASE OF MY VEHICLE 5 CHILDREN UNLOADING BACKPACKS FROM MY TRUNK HAVE BEEN INJURED BY THE TRUNK LID FALLING ON TOP OF THEIR HEAD. I'M REPORTING THE INCIDENT DATE AS THE PURCHASE DATE BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THEN. THE INJURIES HAVE OCCURRED BETWEEN THEN AND NOW, 3/28/2004. PLEASE NOTE THAT MY TRUNK HAS FALLEN MANY TIMES WITHOUT CAUSING INJURY. I WOULD SAY THE ATTEMPT TO INJURY NUMBER TO BE 300 TIMES. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. *JB
2002 NISSAN SENTRA EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH SHUTTING DOWN AS WELL AS FAULTY BRAKES.***NO ANSWER REQUIRED***. *MR THE SERVICE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. REFER TO RECALL CAMPAIGN# 03V455000. THE BRAKES WERE FAULTY, THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY DUE TO LEAKING AND WOULDN'T CHARGE, THE FAN BELT HAD CRYSTALLIZED, NOISE HAD COME FROM THE ENGINE DUE TO THE RADIATOR, THERE WAS A MALFUNCTION OF THE COMPUTER WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO FLOOD WITH GAS. *SC
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2002 SENTRA SE-R SPEC V IN FEB OF 2002. I HAVE HAD MAJOR ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, BEFORE THE CAR WAS EVEN A YEAR OLD I HAD TO TAKE IT IN FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS 3 TIMES. THEY REPLACED MY TRANSMISSION 2 TIMES. THE SECOND TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT WAS WITH A 2003 TRANSMISSION. I HAVE ALSO TAKEN MY CAR IN 2 TIMES FOR THE ENGINE. MY ENGINE HAD TO BE REPLACED 2 TIMES. BOTH TIMES MY ENGINE WAS FOUND WITH NO OIL IN IT EVEN THOUGHT IT WAS FAR FROM BEING DO FOR AN OIL CHANGE. MY CAR CONSUMES OIL AND I AM CONSTANTLY HAVING TO ADD. THESE PROBLEMS ARE EXCESSIVE AND RIDICULES FOR A CAR THAT IS NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH ENGINE SURGED UP TO 30-35 MPH ,AND CONSUMER LOST CONTROL, HITTING TELEPHONE POLE. ENGINE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATING. DEALER CONTACTED.*AK
TRUNK FAILED TO OPEN. ASSEMBLY LOOSE AND KEPT FALLING INTO VALET MODE. THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT IN THEY ACTED LIKE I WAS STUPID EVEN THOUGH I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM TO THEM. ALL THEY DID WAS PUSH IT UP OUT OF VALET MODE AND SEND ME HOME. PROBLEM PERSISTED SO I RETURNED AND TOLD THEM THAT IT MUST BE LOOSE OR FAULTY. IT WAS FIXED THAT TIME AND HAS BEEN OK EVER SINCE.
THE THROTTLE GOT STUCK WIDE OPEN, THE FLOOR MATS ARE NOT SECURED ENOUGH WHICH CAUSE THE PROBLEM, IF THIS HAPPENS TO A INEXPERIENCED DRIVER THEY COULD BE KILLED VERY EASILY! *AK
RECALL LETTER REGARDING THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE ENGINE MAY STOP RUNNING WHILE BEING DRIVEN DUE TO CONTAMINATION OF THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) BY THE INNER LINING MATERIAL (RECALL# 03V-455, 03V-477). *PH
RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED FOR THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE ENGINE WOULD STOP RUNNING ON 2002 NISSAN SENTRA.*MR THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THERE WAS A WAITING LIST FOR THE RECALL. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT SHE WOULD BE CONTACTED AS TO WHEN TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIRS. BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED IT STALLED EXACTLY AS THE RECALL STATED IT WOULD (RECALL# 03V-477000). *NM

2002 GXE NISSAN SENTRA EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH ACCELERATION.*MR WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS PRESSED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. ONCE THE CONSUMER APPLIED MORE PRESSURE THE VEHICLE WOULD LURCH FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE BUT THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *NM
2002 NISSAN SENTRA SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE CAR STOPPED RUNNING.*MR THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM AS STATED IN THE RECALL NOTICE. *JB
2002 NISSAN SENTRA WITH ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO PRE-CATALYTIC CONVERTER. CONSUMER STATES THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM CAUSING ENGINE FAILURE. HE STATES THAT HE WASN'T EVEN INFORMED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED UNBURNED FUEL IS BURNED IN THE PRE-CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. WHEN THE UNBURNED FUEL WAS BURNED IT CAUSED DISINTEGRATION. IT WAS THEN SUCKED INTO THE ENGINE CAUSING CYLINDER WALL DAMAGE, WHICH RESULTED IN THE ENGINE BURNING EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL. THE CONSUMER STATED HE EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM WHICH COST HIM THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. *JB
WHILE STEERING THERE IS A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE. DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF PROBLEM.*AK
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICTED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE VENTS IN VEHICLE. TOOK TO DEALER. *AK
ENGINE CONTINUED TO MAKE NOISES UPON STARTING EVEN AFTER RECALL WAS PERFORMED. *PH SINCE THE WORK WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE, THE CONSUMER HAD 14 OIL CHANGES, ON ONE OF FOUR OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE WAS NOTED AS HAVING LOW OIL. *JB
WHILE PULLING INSIDE OF THE GARAGE, THE VEHICLE STALLED. OWNER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE OWNER THAT THE HEAD GASKET HAD BLOWN AND THE ENGINE WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *NM
