The issue involved the switch malfunctioning, causing the washer pump to stay on, spraying wiper fluid on the windshield and continue running until the pump failed, causing the fuse to short out and blow. This causes complete loss of visibility during the malfunction. This is reported widely with the 2017, 2018, and 2020 Nissan Sentra on various web platforms. The entire combination switch has to be replaced for the malfunction to be corrected.
