A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS ASSOCIATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V517000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.

CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLD HAS BEEN NOTED, AND/OR.POSSIBLE MALFUNCTION OF CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WELDED TO MANIFOLDS. 118,500 MILES. REPLACEMENT MANIFOLDS/CATS COST IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND LABOR INTENSIVE. SO-CALLED "COMMON PROBLEM" WITH TITANS. IMO, THIS PROBLEM MAY POSSIBLY SEND CO2 TO PASSENGERS IF NOT CORRECTED, NOT TO MENTION POOR VEHICLE PERFORMANCE AND POSSIBLE SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE IF NOT CORRECTED. NISSAN SHOULD CERTAINLY INITIATE A RECALL ON THIS DANGEROUS PROBLEM.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE WHY HASN'T THEIR BEEN A RECALL ON ANY TITANS THAT ARE HAVING CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, WHICH CAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIRS.

MY HUSBAND WENT TO SEE HIS MOM AND ABOUT 20 MILES FROM OUR HOME APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES AWAY FROM DESTINATION THE TRUCK STARTED VIBRATING AND SPUTTERING THEN THE ENGINE STARTED MAKING A LOUD CLANKING NOISE THEN SHUT OF MECHANIC SAID THE ENGINE WAS BLOWN PRIOR TO ALL THIS ENGINE STARTED CUTTING OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN WE WENT TO DO OUR SMOG CHECK IT FAILED BECAUSE OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE HONEYCOMB WAS COMPLETELY GONE. *TR
I FOUND MY TRUCK HAS 3 RECALLS THAT NEED TO BE DONE. BUT MY EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS ALSO CRACKED I HAVE HEARD OF THIS BING A KNOWN PROBLEM AS WELL. IT HAS BEEN CRACKED AND LEAKING FOR A WHILE BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN DRIVING IT TO MUCH SEENS IT'S BEEN LEAKING.

WAS TOLD DURING YEARLY STATE VEHICLE INSPECTION THAT IT WOULD NOT PASS DUE TO CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ON BOTH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE. I WAS 19 DAYS OUT OF WARRANTY, BUT ALMOST 23,000 MILES UNDER. THIS IS A PLEASURE USE TRUCK THAT AVERAGES ROUGHLY 7000 MILES PER YEAR AND SOMETIMES ISN'T DRIVEN FOR WEEKS. I HAVE HAD IT SERVICED BY THE DEALERSHIP FROM THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. SOUGHT ASSISTANCE FROM NISSAN AMERICA BUT WAS DECLINED WITHOUT EXPLANATION. IT'S CLEAR THAT BOTH DID NOT CRACK AFTER THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE WARRANTY. IT IS ALSO CLEAR, BASED ON ONLY A FEW MINUTES OF INTERNET RESEARCH, THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD AND WELL PUBLISHED PROBLEM. THE FACT THAT IT WON'T PASS A STATE INSPECTION SPEAKS TO THE DANGER OF SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY DUE TO EXHAUST FUMES ENTERING THE CABIN. WHY HAVE YOU NOT FORCED A RECALL? THE MANIFOLDS BEING REPLACED HAVE NO DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS TO PREVENT FUTURE FAILURES. NISSAN NEEDS TO BE FORCED TO CORRECT THEIR DESIGN ISSUES. REPLACING FAILED PARTS WITH IDENTICAL PARTS, THAT ARE SURE TO FAIL, IS NOTHING MORE THAN RETALIATION FOR BEING FORCED TO HONOR ANY SORT OF WARRANTY AND A "GOTCHA" TO THE CONSUMER. *TR

2006 NISSAN TITAN EXHAUST MANIFOLDS CRACKED AGAIN. FIXED AT DEALER AT 62,837, REPLACED BOTH EXHAUST MANIFOLDS WITH NEW ONES. NOW AT 118023 MANIFOLDS ARE CRACKED AGAIN, OUT OF WARRANTY AND DEALER WILL NOT REPLACE. THIS IS NOT A CHEAP REPAIR SOMEWHERE AROUND $2900 TO FIX BOTH. I HAVE HEARD MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND HAD I KNOWN PREVIOUSLY I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE. NISSAN REPLACED THE FAULTY MANIFOLDS WITH THE SAME NEW FAULTY MANIFOLDS. *TR
TICKING NOISE FROM ENGINE AREA ESPECIALLY UNDER MODERATE ACCELERATION, DEALER INSPECTED AND SAID MY EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE CRACKED AND WOULD COST 3K TO FIX . NISSAN CUSTOMER RELATIONS REFUSES TO HELP IN ANY WAY EVEN THOUGH MY TRUCK IS ONLY 4000 MILES PAST MILEAGE LIMIT. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT IS A SAFETY HAZARD (EXHAUST FUMES CAN ENTER CAB) AND NISSAN REFUSES TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. *TR

HAVE GONE TO NISSAN FOR THE REPAIRS .NISSAN HAS STATED THAT ITS A KNOWN ISSUE ON NISSAN TITANS FOR THE YEARS OF 2004-2007 BUT WON'T REPLACE IT. WAS QUOTED FOR THE REPAIR OF $3,000. ITS JUST OUT OF THE MILES ON THE 80K/8YEAR EMISSIONS WARRANTY, BUT STILL TIME FRAME.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WAS CRACKED DUE TO DEFECTIVE MATERIAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
MY 2006 TITAN STARTED VIBRATING LIKE RUNNING OVER RUMBLE STRIPS ON SIDE OF HIGHWAY. TOOK STRAIGHT TO DEALERSHIP. WAS TOLD THAT THE COOLING SYSTEM SPLIT AND CONTAMINATED THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR REPLACED $7313.56. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR ANYTHING. AFTER READING MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME THING ON OTHER NISSAN VEHICLES, THERE NEEDS TO BE AN INVESTIGATION AND A RECALL ON THE COOLING SYSTEM THAT CAN CAUSE THIS AMOUNT OF DAMAGE. *TR
