INTERMITTANT SHUDDER, VIBRATION WHEN ACCELERATING. VEHICLE HAS 45,000 MILES ON IT; THIS STARTED PROBABLY AT ABOUT 37,000 MILES, WITHIN THE LAST YEAR. BOUGHT IT NEW FALL 2013. HAVE MENTIONED IT TO KRENZEN MOTORS IN DULUTH, MN. THEY HAVE TEST DRIVEN IT BUT HAVE NOT FELT THE SHUDDER. HAVE TOLD THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM AT LEAST TWICE WHEN I'VE HAD THE CAR IN FOR OIL CHANGES. THEY TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION WARRANTY IS 60,000 MILES OR 5 YEARS, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. I'VE REALLY LIKED THE CAR AND HAVE HAD ONLY A FEW OTHER MINOR PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, I'M BEGINNING TO FEEL UNSURE ABOUT DRIVING THE CAR, ESPECIALLY OUT OF TOWN. MY SON HAD A SIMILAR TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WITH HIS 2010 NISSAN INCLUDING LACK OF ACCELERATION. THEY TRADED THE CAR RIGHT AWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (PLANET NISSAN IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA) WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
SIMILAR TO RECALL 16V244000. AIR BAG LIGHT GOING ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH EITHER AN ADULT OR A 12 YEAR OLD GIRL IN THE SEAT. FIRST HAPPENED LAST YEAR, DEALER CHECKED AND RESET THE SENSOR AS A "CUSTOMER COURTESY" SO THERE IS NO PAPER TRAIL. HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE ON VACATION. TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST DEALER WHO AGAIN RESET THE SEAT SENSOR ON 04/19/2017. ISSUE REOCCURRED TODAY, 04/26/2017. SOMETIMES JUST THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON OR OFF. OTHER TIMES, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ON THE DASH WILL ALSO ILLUMINATE. IT CAN OCCUR WHILE STATIONARY, BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, WHILE ON NEIGHBORHOOD ROADS, INTERMEDIATE ROADS AND ON THE HIGHWAY. WE'VE PULLED OVER, SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED THE CAR, NO CHANGE IN BEHAVIOR. IT HASN'T BEEN INTO THE DEALER YET FOR TODAY'S ISSUE, BUT THE SYMPTOMS ARE THE SAME AS THE PREVIOUS TWO TIMES. THREE TIMES IN ONE YEAR WOULD INDICATE A FLAW IN A COMPONENT OR SYSTEM TO ME.
FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED VERY EASILY. STARTED FROM BOTTOM OF PASSENGER SIDE AND WHILE PARKED I SAY THE CRACKS SPREADING UP.

THE CONTACT NOTICED WATER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MORE THAN TWICE, BUT THEY FAILED TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
CVT SLIPS, THROTTLES, MAKE CLUNKING NOISE.
I AM A CURRENT CUSTOMER OF A DEALERSHIP IN GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA. I HAVE BOUGHT AT LEAST 2 BRAND NEW NISSAN VEHICLES FROM THEM . I WAS PLANNING TO BUY ANOTHER NISSAN NOW THAT I JUST RETIRED. HOWEVER WITH THIS EXPERIENCE I AM GOING TO LOOK SOMEWHERE FOR MY NEW VEHICLE OTHER THAN A NISSAN. THIS NISSAN VERSA NOTE I BOUGHT IT IN NOVEMBER 2013. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANY BRAND CAR MAKES BEFORE 5 YEARS AFTER PURCHASE. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO "FIX" THE CVT PROBLEM AT $ 4000.00! EVERYONE IS AWARE OF THE CVT PROGRAMMING PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. EVEN NISSAN ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN TO TRY TO FIX IT.! AT NO AVAIL. MY ADVICE, STAY AWAY FROM NISSAN VEHICLES!.

TAKATA RECALL ON AIR BAGS AND BRAKES PAD
WHEN TAKING OFF,MY TRANSMISSION STALLS AND DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY, CAR HAS ONLY 15,564 MILES AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER 2 YEARS, I AM THE PERVERBABLE OLD LADY (71 YEAR OLD) LADY AND THIS CAR HAS BEEN HANDLED CAREFUL, BUT I HAVE NO MONEY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP MY CAR WILL SHUTTER AND ALMOST STALL. THIS IS ESPECIALLY UNNERVING WHEN TURNING LEFT. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY TIME. ANOTHER ISSUE I'VE HAD, IS MY CAR STARTS MOVING WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT AND MY FOOT IS FULLY ON THE BRAKE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE POWER TRAIN FAILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,149.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO ENGAGE WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE WITH THE PUSH TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V418000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I WAS APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT. AS I APPROACHED THE STOP LIGHT I BEGAN TO GRADUALLY APPLY THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN, BUT THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE BRAKES DID NOT ENGAGE. THE PEDAL FELT LIKE NORMAL RESISTANCE WAS THERE WHEN PUSHING ON IT WITH MY FOOT, BUT THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. I QUICKLY REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE, LOOKED AT MY FEET TO MAKE SURE I WAS ON THE BRAKE, THEN SLAMMED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL ONCE AGAIN WENT TO THE FLOOR. WHILE MY FOOT WAS STILL ON THE BRAKE THE BRAKES ENGAGED AND LOCKED UP ABOUT 2 TO 3 SECONDS AFTER SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES. ONCE I REALIZED THE BRAKES WEREN'T WORKING I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND I REAR-ENDED THEM. AS I FOLLOWED THE VEHICLE THAT I HIT TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE BRAKES STILL WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN PUSHING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL IT WOULD ENGAGE, BUT NOT WITH THE NORMAL LEVEL OF RESISTANCE. BY THE TIME I ARRIVED AT THE LOCATION WE WERE GOING TO PULL OVER AT THE BRAKES WERE WORKING NORMALLY. WE CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS ABOUT THE INCIDENT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT CONDUCT AN INVESTIGATION UNLESS THE CAR WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP INSPECTED IT AND SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. WE CHECKED BACK WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH AN INVESTIGATION AND WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING UNLESS A RECALL WAS ISSUED. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THAT THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED OVER $6,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE AND THAT THE FRAME IS DAMAGED.
NHTSA RECALL 15V-507. I'VE CALLED NALLEY NISSAN HERE IN ATLANTA SEVERAL TIMES TRYING TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED AND THEY REFUSE TO CALL ME BACK. THEY ARE THE CLOSEST PLACE NEAR MY WORK TO HAVE THE CAR FIXED AND I AM UNSURE WHAT TO DO NOW.
ON 10/11/2016 MY CARS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR, WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON THE FREEWAY, MY CAR WOULD SHIFT HARD TRYING TO GET INTO A HIGHER GEAR AND THEN WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS PEDAL YOU COULD HEAR THE CAR ACCELERATE BUT IT WOULD NOT SHIFT AND ASIDE OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON THAT IS WHY I BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS WELL AS FOUND OUT THERE WAS AN OUTSTANDING RECALL ON THE CVT PROGRAM IN THAT YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR. MIND YOU THIS IS THE FIRST I HEAR OF SUCH RECALL WHEN I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR OVER A YEAR AND THIS SUCH RECALL CAME OUT ON 08/12/2015. I NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING VIA MAIL, EMAIL, OR PHONE. I HAVE NOT CHANGED MY ADDRESS NOR PHONE NUMBER IN YEARS SO I DON'T SEE WHY THEY DID NOT GET IN CONTACT WITH ME OR MY DAD. I BELIEVE THAT IF THIS WAS TAKEN CARE OF LAST YEAR WHEN THIS ALL CAME ABOUT I WOULD NOT HAVE TO BE IN THIS SITUATION WHERE THEY TREATING ME WITH SUCH DISRESPECT AND AS IF I DON'T KNOW MY RIGHTS AS A CUSTOMER. I WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AT ONE DEALERSHIP AND THE OTHER DEALERSHIP WAS "ON MY SIDE" AND ALL I WANT IS MY CAR TO BE FIXED AND NOT BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BECAUSE I AM A FEMALE.
WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, NEEDED TO BRAKE IN ORDER TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO SWITCH FOOT QUICKLY FROM GAS TO BRAKE PEDAL. REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND TOTALED MY NISSAN VERSA. AN EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT WAS NECESSARY. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE RECALL LAST WEEK THROUGH A MAILING TO OUR HOUSE. WE BOUGHT THE CAR 'USED' THROUGH CAR MAX, SO IT TOOK AWHILE FOR THE RECALL NOTICE TO FIND US.

I HAVE HAD THREE PROBLEMS WITH MY REAR TIRES. YES THE FIRST TIME IT HAD A PIECE OF METAL FOUND BY THE DEALER IN A TIRE.#2 I HAD A FLAT AGAIN IN THE OTHER REAR TIRE "NO PROBLEM" FOUND BY THE DEALER.#3 ANOTHER FLAT TIRE FOUND IN THE SAME TIRE WHERE DEALER FOUND "NO" PROBLEM? I CHANGED THE TIRE "GREEN" TIRE TOP BY MYSELF HOPEFULLY NO FOURTH FLAT TIRE??
"NISSAN RECALL" WITHIN MY 1-YEAR WARRANTY, I'VE REPEATEDLY ASKED FOR ASSISTANCE ON MY NISSAN VEHICLE THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM; TOYOTA TOWN OF STOCKTON. MARCH 14TH, 2016, I, [XXX], ASKED FOR HELP. RECEIVED SOME KIND OF HELP, HOWEVER ENDED UP AS NO HELP AT ALL. AN EMPLOYEE THERE REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE THERE TO TAKE A LOOK AT MY CAR; HOWEVER, ENDED UP TEST DRIVING IT. HE SUPPOSEDLY HAD NOT HEARD THE UNPLEASANT NOISES THAT I WAS REFERRING TO. HE THEN SUGGESTED CHANGING MY BRAKES AND ROTORS. I WENT OUT MY WAY AFTER THAT DAY AND CHANGED MY BRAKES. THE NOISE WAS STILL THERE. I GAVE UP ON THEM GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND. SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2016; I, [XXX], WAS DRIVING ON THE STREETS WHEN SUDDENLY WHEN I LIGHTLY PUSHED ONTO THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE HAD MERGED TO THE LEFT, WHICH CAUSED ME TO HIT AGAINST THE CURB OF AN ISLAND. IT CAUSED BOTH TIRES ON THE DRIVERS SIDE TO BLOW OUT AND BENT MY RIMS ALSO. I HAD NO WAY OF GETTING BACK HOME WITH MY CAR. I HAD TO CALL A FRIEND TO COME HELP ME OUT IN AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION. I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE 12TH OF SEPTEMBER TO GET BOTH TIRES AND RIMS REPLACED. WHAT SHOULD MY NEXT STEPS BE? CONNECTIONS IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM CRACK AND YOU MUST REPLACE THE ENTIRE SYSTEM INCLUDING THE PIPE AND THE MUFFLER. IN ADDITION, THE PIPE FROM THE CRACK FORWARD IS ALSO BEGINNING TO CRACK. THIS WAS MADE WITH DEFECTIVE METAL, AS A VEHICLE WITH 43,000 MILES SHOULD NOT HAVE TO REPLACE THIS PIPE AND MUFFLER, BECAUSE NISSAN MADE IT AS ONE PIECE. THIS ENDS UP TO BE A $400+ JOB WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN SERVICE FOR MANY MORE MILES. THIS MUFFLER AND PIPE MUST BE ORDERED FROM NISSAN BECAUSE THERE ARE NO AFTERMARKET ALTERNATIVES. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM ON LINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN VERSA NOTE. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL VIBRATION AND NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE BOLT FOR THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AXLE WAS MISSING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL I DON'T KNOW THAT THIS IS A TAKATA ISSUE, OR IF WE EVEN HAVE A TAKATA AIRBAG SYSTEM IN OUR VEHICLE. HOWEVER, FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS OUR AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN GOING ON. WE HAVE BEEN TURNING IT OFF BY DOING THE SYNCHRONIZED KEY TURN METHOD, WHERE IT WOULD WORK FOR A FEW DAYS OR WEEKS AND THEN THE LIGHT WOULD COME BACK ON. WE TOOK IT INTO A DEALER, AND THEY ARE REPLACING THE "AIRBAG MODULE" BECAUSE IT IS DEFECTIVE. WE TOOK IT TO ELHART AUTOMOTIVE IN HOLLAND, MI AND IT IS COMPLETELY COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. HOWEVER, WE WANTED TO SUBMIT THIS AS AN ISSUE BECAUSE THE VIN DOESN'T GET A HIT ON THE TAKATA RECALL, HOWEVER THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN AIRBAG ISSUE - WHETHER IT IS ISOLATED OR A PART OF THE TAKATA THING, IS ABOVE MY PAYGRADE TO KNOW OR UNDERSTAND. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE IF THE 2014 NISSAN VERSA SHOULD BE ON THE RECALL LIST, THAT IT IS APPROPRIATELY ADDRESSED.
SINCE ABOUT ONE YEAR AGO, I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION OF MY VERSA NOTE. FIRST I TOOK THE CAR TO NISSAN BECAUSE OF A BIG HUGE NOISE. THEY GAVE ME INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TO DO FOR AVOIDING THE NOISE WHEN CHANGING FROM PARKING TO DRIVE. SINCE THAT MOMENT I'VE BEEN DOING WHAT THEY ASKED ME TO, BUT SOMETIMES IT MAKES THE NOISE. NOW SINCE ABOUT THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, THE CAR IS MAKING A DIFFERENT NOISE LIKE IF IT IS GOING TO TURN OFF WHEN I USE THE BRAKE. ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO I HAD TO GET OUT OF THE ROAD BECAUSE IT STARTED MAKING A NOISE WHEN IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, LOOSE POWER, AND ALMOST TURN OFF. I TOOK IT TO NISSAN AND THEY CHANGED THE AIR FILTER, AND THEY CLEANED SOMETHING ELSE. BUT THE CAR STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. WHEN I USE THE BRAKE TO LET A PEDESTRIAN CROSS THE STREET, SOMETIMES AT A RED LIGHT, LAST MONDAY TO LET A PERSON GET OFF THE CAR; IT START MAKING A NOISE AND SHAKING LIKE TURNING OFF. I'M SURE THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE TRANSMISSION, BUT NISSAN DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES, THE CONTACT'S FOOT BECAME STUCK AND WAS UNABLE TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. HOWEVER, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V507000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,860.

THE PROBLEM APPEARED TO BE INTERMITTENT AND NOT REPRODUCIBLE AT WILL. I SOLD THIS CAR BACK TO CARMAX 42 DAYS AFTER ITS PURCHASE, SUSTAINING A $2260 LOSS. MOST OF THE LOSS WAS DUE TO A SECOND ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED ON 6/10/2016 THAT MAY ALSO HAVE BEEN BRAKE/TRANSMISSION PROBLEM (SEE THIRD AND FOURTH ATTACHMENTS).
CVT STARTED SLIPPING AS SEEN BY TACHOMETER JUMPING UP AND HEARING THE ENGINE REV UP AS I WENT UP A SMALL HILL (MUCH LIKE IF I HAD A CLUTCH TO PUSH IN ON A REGULAR TRANSMISSION) LATER THAT DAY ON THE WAY HOME ON THE INTERSTATE ON LEVEL ROAD DID THE SAME THING. PULLING UP A SMALL HILL AS I PROCEED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND GIVING IT GAS TO GET UP THAT HILL, CVT MADE A VERY LOUD 'THUMP' (LIKE I POPPED THE CLUTCH). CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE NOW. CAR HAS ONLY 51,000 MILES ON IT.
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, SUNDAY , APRIL 3 AROUND 12:30 PM, TEMPERATURE AROUND 40 DEGREES, SUNNY CONDITIONS, NO RAIN. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST CONTROL OF ACCELERATION FROM THE FOOT PEDAL. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE EDGE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE CAR STILL HAD HALF A TANK OF GAS PROVIDED FROM THE SELLER, HERTZ, SO WE PUT LESS THAN 100 MILES SINCE THE PURCHASE. THE ENGINE IDLED SMOOTHLY, THE TRANSMISSION WAS PROPERLY FUNCTIONING AND ENGAGED. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO ANY MOVEMENT FROM ON THE FOOT PEDAL TO THE ENGINE IN ANY GEAR, INCLUDING NEUTRAL AND PARK. AGAIN, THE ENGINE IDLED SMOOTHLY, THE TRANSMISSION ENGAGED PROPERLY WHEN SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE, ETC. THE THROTTLE RESPONSE RETURNED AFTER THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF THEN TURNED BACK ON. THE 2014 VERSA HAS FLY- BY- WIRE THROTTLE, SO DIRECT LINKAGE IS NOT BROKEN, THIS SUGGESTS EITHER A SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION OR AN INTERMITTENT APP SENSOR. UPON INVESTIGATION ON THE INTERNET, SEVERAL NISSAN AUTOMOBILES OF THE SAME YEAR HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SIMILAR PROBLEMS. THE VERSA WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. IF YOU HAVE ANY SERVICE BULLETINS WITH THIS REFERENCE, COULD YOU PROVIDE THE SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER SO THAT I CAN TAKE THE CAR TO A DEALER. I WAS DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND AS I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT IN THE LEFT TURN LANE, THE ENGINE CUT OFF COMPLETELY AND WOULD NOT START. I HAD TO ASK A GROUP OF PEOPLE TO HELP PUSH MY CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I WAITED ABOUT 30 MINUTES AND THE CAR WAS ABLE TO START AGAIN. I WAS NERVOUS TO DRIVE ON THE EXPRESSWAY TO GET HOME AS THIS COULD POSE AS A SERIOUS THREAT TO SAFETY.
BRAKE FAILURE TODAY WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I PRESSED THE BRAKE, THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. THE CAR DIDN'T RESPOND. THANK GOD I WAS COMING OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND NOT ON THE BUSY HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED OR IT COULD HAVE BEEN A FATAL SITUATION. ALSO EXPERIENCING CVT JUDDERS AND VIBRATIONS CONSTANTLY. TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE ITS STRUGGLING AND WILL DIE SOON. I ONLY HAVE 39000 MILES ON THE CAR.
THE AIR BAD DID NOT DEPLOYED IN TIME THERE WAS FEW SECOND DELAY WHICH CAUSED MY DAUGHTER TO HIT HER HEAD ON STEERING WHEEL AND THEN WENT OFF. ALSO THE BREAKS SHE HAD DELAYED TIMING TO HIT THE BREAK LIKE HER FOOT WAS STUCK OR SOMETHING WHICH DELAYED STOPPING.

VIBRATIONS FELT THROUGH THE STEERING COLUMN, SEATS AND FLOOR, WHENEVER CAR IS IN GEAR AND STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR IDLE. VIBRATION GETS WORSE WHEN AC OR DEFROST IS TURNED ON. IT GOES AWAY WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. HOWEVER CAR TAKES SOME TIME TO MOVE WHEN SHIFTING BACK TO DRIVE, AND THIS CAN CAUSE SOMEONE TO HIT YOU FROM BEHIND. TAKEN TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS VIBRATION IS COMPLETELY NORMAL AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. VERY DISAPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST.

THE HEAT SHIELD COVERING THE EXHAUST UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE HAS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES AND WAS REPLACED 2 TIMES. THE CRACKING OCCURS WHERE THE HEAT SHIELD IS HELD TO THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE BY SCREWS AND BOLTS. THE WASHERS AND BOLTS ARE TOO SMALL FOR THE PREDRILLED HOLES AND CAUSES STRESS FRACTURES AT THE HOLE. THIS CAUSES THE HEAT SHIELD TO COME LOOSE AND RATTLE AGAINST THE EXHAUST. THERE ARE OTHER MODELS WITH SIMILAR HEAT SHIELDS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE MATERIALS ARE THE SAME. THE RATTLE CAUSES DISTRACTED DRIVING AS WELL AS POSES A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD IF THE ENTIRE UNIT WERE TO FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING. IT COULD CAUSE UNSAFE VEHICLE OPERATION OR HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE.
