ON 7-20-19 HAD A BLOWOUT ON REPLACEMENT TIRE THAT WAS INSTALLED ON 7-17-19. BLOWOUT OCCURRED WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY TRAVELING AT 60 MPH. TIRE BRAND NEXEN NPRIZ AH5. TIRES WERE NOT O YOUR LIST FILED AS N5000 TIRE LINE.
WHILE RUNNING ERRANDS MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO HOBBLE AND SHAKE ON THE HIGHWAY IN MOTION AT 60MPH. THIS WAS DUE TO TIRE TREAD SEPARATION. TOOK THE VEHICLE AND TIRE TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY AND WAS TOLD TIRE COULD BE REPLACED AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE TO PURCHASE, A/K/A ME. DEALERSHIP IS ED HICKS NISSAN IN CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS.
TIRE PURCHASED FROM DEALERSHIP 1 YEAR AGO, TIRE TREAD SEPARATED, NEARLY CAUSING BLOWOUT, WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY. HAD I NOT TAKEN PRECAUTIONS I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. PRECAUTIONS TAKEN DUE TO ON THE JOB SAFETY PROFESSIONAL DRIVING SKILLS. TIRES ARE CALLED NEXEN AND ARE SOLD BY NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS. DOT # DOT8ELX
HAD TO REPLACE REAR HUB SPINDLE , WAS DEFECTIVE THOUGHT IT WAS A BRAKE PROBLEM. BROUGHT IT TO NISSAN A FEW TIMES THEY REPLACE BRAKES. ONE DAY IT WAS MAKING A LOT OF NOISE. HAD IT TOWED TO NISSAN FINALLY FIGURED OUT IT WAS DEFECTIVE HUB SPINDLE ASSEMBLY. COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT!
I HAVE HAD THREE PROBLEMS WITH MY REAR TIRES. YES THE FIRST TIME IT HAD A PIECE OF METAL FOUND BY THE DEALER IN A TIRE.#2 I HAD A FLAT AGAIN IN THE OTHER REAR TIRE "NO PROBLEM" FOUND BY THE DEALER.#3 ANOTHER FLAT TIRE FOUND IN THE SAME TIRE WHERE DEALER FOUND "NO" PROBLEM? I CHANGED THE TIRE "GREEN" TIRE TOP BY MYSELF HOPEFULLY NO FOURTH FLAT TIRE??
I BOUGHT THIS CAR ON 02/14/2014 AND YESTERDAY WAS THE FORTH TIRE TO GO FLAT ALL FOUR HAVE BEEN ON THE BACK DRIVER SIDE. THE FIRST TWO I'M NOT 100% ON WHAT CAUSED IT AS I JUST ASSUMED I RAN OVER A NAIL THE FIRST TIME AND THEN JUST HAD BAD LUCK ON THE 2ND TIME. THE THIRD TIME (STARTING IN OCTOBER OF 2014-RIGHT AFTER THE 2ND FLAT AND GETTING A BRAND NEW TIRE) THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WOULD COME ON. WOULD CHECK AND IT WOULD BE LOW. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE LOCATION I GOT THE NEW TIRE FROM AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. WHEN A FEW MONTHS WITH NO PROBLEMS. IN DECEMBER THE LIGHT CAME ON, TOOK TO A DEALERSHIP TO GET OIL CHANGED...THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT...THEY FILLED IT WITH AIR. AGAIN I HAD NO PROBLEMS UNTIL IT WAS TIME FOR AN OIL CHANGE, AGAIN THE DEALERSHIP FOUND NOTHING WRONG. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIME. IN APRIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN, BUT A LOT QUICKER. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP, NOTHING. NEXT DAY IT WAS FLAT AGAIN HAD TO PUT AIR IN IT TWICE SO I TOOK IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP, AGAIN THEY FOUND NOTHING. THE NEXT DAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN HAD TO PUT AIR IN IT TWICE, AGAIN TOOK IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP (YAP THREE DAYS IN A ROW). LEFT IT THERE ALL DAY. THEY FOUND A PIN HOLE IN THE SIDE. I BOUGHT A NEW TIRE. YESTERDAY I WAS DRIVING AND THE BACK DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLOW. THIS TIME THERE IS A INCH SIDE SLASH ON THE OUT SIDE OF THE TIRE. IN THE SAME PLACE AS THE PIN HOLE IN THE OTHER TIRE. IT LOOKS LIKE MAYBE THE SEEM WHERE THE BUMPER IS ATTACHED TO THE CAR IS TO SHARP OR RUFF AND KILLING THAT TIRE. I STILL HAVE THE TWO TIRES WITH THE ISSUES AND WILL TRY TO WORK WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THIS FIXED.
