The contact pulled over to side of the road, turned off and then restarted the vehicle and the power steering functionality returned. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacture had been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 174,000
The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac G6. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, and making a lane change, the vehicle lost power steering assist. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stopped and turned the vehicle off. The contact stated that power steering engaged upon restarting the vehicle; however, the failure recurred. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the local dealer and the vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact independently researched online and read that the failure was like NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V153000 (Steering). The failure mileage was approximately 215,000.
The power steering went out on me. Sometimes it will work turning to the left but never the right. It says “power steering” on the radio. Upon doing some research I believe there is a recall on the eps, more specifically the torque sensor. I wanted to see if I was eligible. Thank you for your help.
The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 MPH and making a right turn, the steering wheel locked up and could not be turned in either direction. The message "Power Steering Assist Fault" was displayed. After restarting the vehicle, the steering wheel operated as designed however, moments later the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 138,000.
While driving my steering wheel will lock up n my car will reduce speed no warning lights to check engine lights on ..my saftey and my childs safety were at risk while driving her to school on a busy street
The contact owns a 2006 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked in the garage and when her husband went into the garage the next day, he smelled a strong gasoline odor. The contact stated that the odor was coming from underneath the driver’s seat. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and advised the contact to tow the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as a cracked fuel pump. The contact stated that the fuel pump was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Driving the vehical down the road the steering gets hard and wont come back right away and also does it in turns and makes it hard to turn and almost hit someone its has the electronic power steering module
1. Loss of power assisted steering making it hard to control car. But I turn off car and turn back on, it works. 2. Steering column knuckle or u-joints are making a loud clunking noise when turning steering wheel. 3. BCM or Body Control Mudule is either bad or needs cleaning because cruise control nor traction controls work. I checked fuses and they are ok.
I just cranked my car up and tried to drive it in the only thing I had done was change my battery out and I watched all the forms on how to do repair this but apparently there's been a recall and it's just going to cost the thousands of dollars we could have died
WHILE DRIVING STEERING LOCKED UP, I HAD TO STRONG ARM THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO DRIVE CAR TOO A SAFE PLACE. ONCE I CUT THE CAR OFF AND CUT IT BACK ON IT IT WAS WORKING FINE. THIS IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE I HAVE GOTTEN IT LOOKED AT AND THRU CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE HELP PLEASE
MY ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING GIVES OUT OCCASIONALLY FOR NO REASON. IT HAS HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST 5 MINUTE OF MY STARTING MY COMMUTE EACH TIME AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN WHEN DRIVING. THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING, MY VEHICLES VIN NUMBER WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE ON THE SAME MAKE AS MY CAR. THE ISSUE IS FOR SURE MY POWER STEERING BECAUSE I GET A NOTIFICATION ON MY DASH SAYING THAT MY ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING IS FAILING. AFTER SHUTTING MY CAR OFF AND TURNING IT BACK ON THE ISSUE IT TYPICALLY FIXED BUT THIS IS STILL EXTREMELY CONCERNING BECAUSE IT IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY IF DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS.
My car will flash "POWER STEERING" across the stereo notification screen and alarm and the power steering locks up as you drive and makes steering your vehicle impossible and unsafe! This was a recall which was supposedly repaired at Titus Will (dealership) some years prior when the car was previously owned by Kristena Fulton but it is still very much a problem and a HUGE safety risk. I've contacted their location and was yelled at by a female who stated they had repaired it previously and would NOT help me regarding this. This vehicle is dangerous and poses not only a safety risk which could result in serious injury and death should it be driven on a freeway or highway at the time this error occurs. I've taken video of this and am asking for this to be repaired ASAP as I transport my two children and could result in injury to myself and my children.
STEERING LOCKS UP AND CAUSES NOTICEABLY MORE FORCE TO TURN WHEN IN MOTION

THE POWER STEERING LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING WITH MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER AND MY ONE YEAR OLD GRANDSON.
TRANSMISSION AUTOMATIC IS STARTING TO GO AND OR SLIP. HAVE TO ACCELERATE VERY SLOWLY TO GET CAR MOVING. WILL START REVING ONCE IT'S PAST 3 RPMS. HAPPENS IN MOTION, ON STREETS WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. I HEAR A NOISE WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE.

WHEN I START MY CAR MY POWER STEERING DOESN'T WORK, I CAN SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT AND IT WORKS. I CAN BE DRIVING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN LOOSE MY POWER STEERING.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS MOTHER WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WITHIN AN HOUR OF THE FAILURE, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE, THE DRIVER LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER. THE DRIVER DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL UNTIL SHE WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BUT WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING) AND THE EXPANDED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.
I STARTED MY CAR TO LEAVE AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. A MESSAGE SHOWED POWER STEERING ON THE RADIO SCREEN AN DAY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TRIGGERED. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND STARTERS IT AGAIN, POWER STEERING WAS FINE. MOVED ABOUT 10 FEET IN REVERSE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. NOE IT DOESNT WANT TO TURN AT ALL. MY CAR IS A 2006 G6 V6 AND I HAVE HAD IT SCANNED AND NOTHING SHOWS UP?
WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE AND CEASES UP. WHEN THE CAR IS RESTARTED THE STEERING IS NORMAL AGAIN FOR AWHILE BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON THIS YEAR AND MAKE OF VEHICLE AND ALSO APPEARS THAT IT WAS INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I PUT THE LAST DATE IT HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER BUT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 177,000 MILES ON IT BUT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A WHILE NOW.
WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE POST OFFICE PARKING LOT MY POWER STEERING FAILED AND I HAD TO MUSCLE TO CAR OUT OF INCOMING TRAFFIC (A TRUCK WAS HEADED TOWARD ME). I PULLED IN THE TURN LANE AND A CAR NARROWLY MISSED ME TRYING TO GET IN THE TURN LANE TOO. I HAD TO DRIVE HOME 35 MILES AN HOUR WITH HAZARD LIGHTS ON TO GET HOME. I WAS ON HIGHWAY M-37 NEAR BEDFORD, MICHIGAN.
MY VEHICLE HAS TRANSMISSION TROUBLE THAT I FOUND TO BE A DEFECT
WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF DRIVING 🚗 TODAY I COULDN'T NORMALLY STEER TO EITHER DIRECTION WITHOUT PULLING TREMENDOUSLY ON THE STEERING WHEEL, AS WELL ALMOST LIKE ITS STALLING OUT PUTTER, , "GM, IS SHORT FOR GOD MODE AND CAN HE BUILD IT, OR "GOT MAN" CAUSE HE 'GOT YA' WHEN YOU BOUGHT IT.. GREAT. LOVE IT. FML
THE CAR WAS WORKING FINE AND THEN ABOUT A WEEK AGO THE CAR WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND I STARTED IT TO GO TO LEAVE AND I COULD NOT REVERSE I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT'S CALLED BUT THERE WAS LIKE SOME KIND OF CLIP THAT SOMEBODY HAD TO PIECE TOGETHER FOR ME JUST SO IT WOULD BE ABLE TO BE DRIVABLE ALSO THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CUT FLASHING ON THE RADIO AND I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY POWER STEERING FLUID AND I FOUND OUT THAT IT HAS THAT MOTOR WELL WHENEVER I GO IN REVERSE IT SOUNDS LIKE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IS LIKE ON BUT IT'S NOT AND WHENEVER I'M DRIVING IT FEELS LIKE IT'S BEING PULLED TO THE RIGHT AND IT CLICKS IF I TURN IT TOO FAR
THE STEERING ALMOST GAVE OUT AND MAKING NOISE. THE WHOLE STEERING ELECTRIC SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
After I got my car serviced for a recall on my transmission cables my dash started flashing passenger air bag and now my cars airbags do not work

THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WAITED FOR FIVE MINUTES AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NEXT DAY THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED REYNOLDS BUICK ' GMC (345 N. CITRUS ST AVE, WEST COVINA, CA 91791) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000.*DT*JB
THE POWER STEERING WARNING IS SHOWING UP ON THE RADIO. WHEN I SLOWED DOWN TO ENTER A GAS STATION IT WAS VERY HARD TO TURN THE WHEEL AND I ALMOST HIT A SNOW BANK.
ONE DAY WHEN I TURNED MY CAR ON A POWER STEERING MESSAGE TURNED ON OUT OF NOWHERE. I TURNED MY CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT SEEMED TO WORK FINE. A WEEK PASSED THEN THE MESSAGE 'POWER STEERING' APPEARED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING MAKING ME UNABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE AT ALL. I HAD TO STOP AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK TURNED IT OFF THEN TURNED IT BACK ON MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE I COULD MAKE IT HOME.
I WILL BE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY, TURNING OR GOING STRAIGHT. AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE POWER STEERING WILL GO OUT. THEN COME BACK ON AND OFF AGAIN. DID THIS FOR ABOUT A WEEK. NOW JUST DOESN'T WORK AT ALL UNLESS I TURN THE WHEEL WHEN I START THE CAR.

THE STEERING WOULD LOCK UP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. CAR WILL CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNING AND WOULD CAUSE A ACCIDENT.
THE ROAD WAS WET HAD NO TRACTION CONTROL AND ANTI LOCK BRAKES. THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP I WAS GOING AROUND 60MPH ON A EXPRESSWAYSLIDING AND ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR USED.I FEEL THE CAR IS TO UNSAFE TO DRIVE IT'S SITTING AT MB GARAGE IN HUNTLEY IL. ON LINE THERE'S A LOT OF PROBLEMS.
THE POWER STEERING IN MY CAR HAS LOCKED UP TWICE IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS. THE FIRST TIME I HAD JUST MADE A RIGHT TURN OUT OF A PARKING LOT ONTO A BUSY CITY STREET AND WAS PROBABLY GOING BETWEEN 25-30MPH WHEN A MESSAGE ON MY DASH APPEARED FOR "POWER STEERING" AND MY STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED UP. AFTER FINALLY MANAGING TO SAFELY PULL OVER I SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF TO CALL FOR HELP. WITHIN 5 MINS OF THEIR ARRIVAL, THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED BACK ON AND POWER STEERING WAS WORKING AGAIN. TWO WEEKS LATER, WAITING TO MAKE A RIGHT OUT OF PARKING LOT ONTO THE SAME BUSY CITY STREET, MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AGAIN JUST AS I WAS PULLING OUT. THERE WAS A CAR BEHIND ME AND CARS ON THE ROAD QUICKLY APPROACHING. I WAS A SITTING DUCK WITH MY FRONT BUMPER HALF WAY INTO THE STREET WITH NOWHERE TO GO AND ZERO STEERING POWER TO TURN THE WHEEL. IT WAS TERRIFYING! LUCKILY, WITH HELP OF STRANGERS WE WERE ABLE TO GET BACK INTO THE PARKING LOT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MY VEHICLE HAD A RECALL THROUGH GM (N140116) THAT WAS REPAIRED BY THE DEALER IN NOVEMBER 2014 TO CORRECT SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING. CLEARLY THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ALL DRIVERS. THIS ONGOING PROBLEM HAS CONTINUOUSLY BEEN REPORTED AS A SAFETY ISSUE BY VEHICLE OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AFTER THE SO-CALLED RECALL WAS COMPLETED. THE REPAIRS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND GM SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECTING THIS AND HAVE REFUSED TO DO SO. MY PAPERWORK FROM THE ORIGINAL RECALL REPAIR SAYS THERE IS NO EXPIRATION DATE SO WHY WILL THEY NOT HONOR THIS, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND THE STEERING WHEEL UNLOCKED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED COLEMAN BUICK GMC (100 RENAISSANCE BLVD, LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ 08648) WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 225,000.
THIS 2006 G6 BELONGS TO MY WIFE AND ACCORDING TO GM THE VEHICLE HAS ALREADY HAD RECALL 14772 AS WELL AS 14116 AND THIS VEHICLE IS STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKING UP WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS ON ALL TYPES OF ROADS FROM INTERSTATES TO COUNTRY ROADS AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW FAST SHE IS DRIVING, IF SHE IS TURNING, OR WHAT THE WEATHER IS. SHE HAS TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF, REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION, REINSTALL KEY AND FINALLY RESTART VEHICLE AND HOPEFULLY THE STEERING WILL WORK AGAIN. THIS IS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY UNSAFE AND I CAN NOT LET HER CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS WE HAVE A YOUNG DAUGHTER THAT FREQUENTLY RIDES IN THIS VEHICLE, SO WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO WHEN THE RECALLS DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM?
VEHICLE LOSES POWER STEERING OFF AND ON WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN ON CITY STREETS AND DOESN'T DO IT ALL THE TIME .
A FRONT INTERIOR WELD ON THE CROSS MEMBER FAILED, RESULTING IN A SEVERE SLOPE TO THE RIGHT AS WELL AS A NOTICEABLE CLUNK WHEN TURNING.
LOST 4TH GEAR WHILE DRIVING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER MOTHER WAS DRIVING 25 MPH AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE DRIVER PARKED THE VEHICLE AT A NEARBY PARKING LOT, TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE TO HER DESTINATION. THE CONTACT STATED A WEEK LATER WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ALBRIGHT BUICK GMC CADILLAC LOCATED AT 2008 N. BELT HWY, ST JOSEPH, MO 64506, (816) 232-4413, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TORQUE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION NUMBER: 14772 WAS COMPLETED IN OCTOBER 2014. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 182,900.
A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE I GOT A RECALL FOR POWER STEERING ASST. LETTER. I TOOK MY CAR TO GM TO BE REPAIRED AND ITS STILL NOT RIGHT. YESTERDAY STEERING WHEEL STARTED GRINDING AND VIBRATING TO THE RIGHT. TODAY I HAVE NO POWER STEERING AT ALL. I WAS DRIVING WHEN IT STRTED VIBRATING AND I WASNT AURE WHAT WAS WRONG. I MADE IT HOME AAND WENT TO GO TO THE STORE TODAY AND STARTED UP MY DRIVEWAY AND HAD NO POWER STEERING.
WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED ON I480. THE DRIVER THEN FLAGGED ME OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD .HE INFORMED ME MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. COME TO FIND OUT MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE STAYING ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND GOING OUT WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKE. I AM NOT SURE WHEN THIS STARTED AGAIN. I SAY AGAIN BECAUSE TWICE I HAVE HAD DEALERSHIPS REPAIR THIS FIX UNDER THE RECALL. THE RECALL FIX IS FAULTY. GM IS AWARE OF THIS. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THEY ARE KNOWINGLY PUTTING MY LIFE IN DANGER. I HAVE PUT A LOT OF MONEY IN MY CAR. I REPAIR AND MAINTAIN IT PROPERLY. I HAVE RECEIPTS TO SUPPORT THIS FACT. GM SHOULD BE MADE TO BE RESPONSIBLE THAT MY LIFE IS NOT IN DANGER WHEN I AM PROPERLY OPERATING THEIR PRODUCT. *TR

WHEN EVER I AM DRIVING AND I TURN AT A SLOW RATE MY POWER STEERING LOCKS UP AND IS VERY HARD TO TURN THEN I GET A MESSAGE SAYING POWER STEERING ON MY RADIO CONSOLE IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE
TRANSMISSION ISN'T SHIFTING, AND SHIFT CABLE CAME APART SOMEWHERE. SEVERAL CARS JUST LIKE MINE HAVE BEEN RECALLED DUE TO THIS SAME THING HAPPENING, BUT MINE ISN'T?? CAR DOESN'T HAVE EVEN 135,000 MILES. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS SHORTING OUT SOMEWHERE, AND IS DRAINING MY BATTERY. POWER STEERING IS WORKING AGAINST ME OR NOT WORKING AT ALL. THIS ALL HAPPENED AROUND THE SAME TIME... PLEASE HELP ME GET THIS FIGURED OUT, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS ISSUE, IT IS DEFINITELY AN ISSUE WITH SEVERAL THOUSAND OF THESE CARS JUST LIKE MINE AND MINE DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE RECALL NOTICE??? I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND COULDN'T MOVE, I EVENTUALLY GOT IT TO A GAS STATION WHERE I PURCHASED SOME POWER STEERING FLUID BECAUSE THE LIGHT SHOWED UP UNDER THE TIME CLOCK ON THE RADIO; COME TO FIND OUT THERE WAS A SPOT TO PUT THE FLUID. IM STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE POWER STEERING, IT EVEN CAUSED MY ALIGNMENT TO GO BAD AND MULTIPLE FLATS TIRES. WITH THE LAST FLAT TIRE, MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL, JUST RANDOMLY. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON TO BE ABLE TO SCREEN THE VEHICLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED ON THE POWER STEERING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER STEERING. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS CORROSION ON THE HEADLAMP WIRING HARNESS WHICH CAUSED THE HEADLAMPS TO BECOME INOPERABLE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V604000 (STEERING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,019. INVALID VIN.
THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM GIVES ERROR CODE AND SUDDENLY FAILS WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL 14772, HOWEVER, THE SAME ISSUE THAT WAS DESCRIBED IN THAT RECALL IS AFFECTING MY VEHICLE AS WELL. *TR
SOMETIMES THE POWER STEERING DOES NOT ENGAGE WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED ON, SO YOU HAVE TO SHUT THE CAR OFF A FEW TIMES UNTIL THE POWER STEERING ENGAGES. WHEN THE POWER STEERING DOES TURN ON THE WHOLE STEERING COLUMN WILL PULSATE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU DRIVE THE CAR AND WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED. I DO HAVE VIDEO IF NEEDED.
