POWER STEERING CAN'T TURN WHEELS EVEN TRYING TO GET OUT OF DEIVEWAY
WHILE DRIVING I OPENED MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF AND IT PROCEEDED TO COME OFF OF THE TRACKS AND GLASS FELL THROUGH THE SUNROOF ON TO MY HEAD AND INTO THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT IS MADE OF FOUR PANELS NONE OF WHICH ARE ATTACHED IT WILL NO LONGER WORK PROPERLY WITHOUT DOING DAMAGE OR HURTING SOMEONE. *TR
POWER STEERING KEEPS LOCKING UP AT LOW SPEEDS. MY DAUGHTER IS PRETTY SMALL AND CAN NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. SOMETHING NEED TO BE DONE BY GM. 135000 MILES.
I WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE CAR DINGS AND I LOOSE POWER STEERING. AFTER RESEARCHING I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL DUE TO THIS HAPPENING. WHEN WE BOUGHT THIS CAR, THE DEALER NEVER MENTIONED ABOUT ANY ISSUES. (LEMON LAW?) THE CAR HAS 134000 MILES AND I THINK THIS ISSUE SHOULD NOT BE MY PROBLEM SINCE THIS SEEMS TO BE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM BUT IT SEEMS THAT I WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS!
WENT TO A LICENSED AUTO REPAIR SHOP AN WAS SUPPOSE TO GET SWAYBAR BUSHINGS PUT ON AN THEY DECIDED TO CUT THE WHOLE SWAY BAR OFF THE REAR END
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO TURN AND VEHICLE VEERED OFF ROAD INTO A DITCH. THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO CONTACT'S RESIDENT. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 219,000.
POWER STEERING IS LOCKING UP AND WARNING LIGHT COMES ON DASH. HAVE LOOKED ON LINE AND A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT
MY POWER STEERING LOCKED ON ME. NOTICED THERE WAS A LOT OF RECALLS FOR THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE CAR . IT'S THE POWER STEERING MOTOR LOCATED UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL . MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN I RECEIVED THE POWER STEERING MESSAGE AND I WAS LOCATED ON THE HIGHWAY ALSO.
WHEN DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL, LOCKS UP AND BECOMES UNABLE TO CONTROL/TURN. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES ON THE STREET AND MOST RECENTLY ON THE HIGHWAY. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE.
THE CAR LOOSES ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WHEN DRIVING. I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. SOMETIMES IT WILL BE OK UNTIL I LOSE POWER AGAIN. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING IF THERE IS A POTENTIAL CRASH SITUATION INVOLVED.
STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP AT LOW SPEEDS. SHIFTER CABLE DOESN'T ENGAGE.
POWER STEERING STARTED GOING OUT SPORADICLY... NOW COMPLETELY OUT... IT STARTED FEELING ODD ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO... DIDN'T KNOW THAT IT WAS GOING OUT...I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE THE TURN.. SCARY MOMENT,
POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT. IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED PER THE RECALL. IT HAD GOTTEN STIFFER AND I NEEDED TO FIGHT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL UNTIL I COULD NOT TURN IT AT ALL.
STEERING VERY DANGEROUSLY. THIS IS A RECALL THE DEALER REFUSES TO FIX.
BRAKES LIGHTS CONTINUOUSLY STAY WHILE DRIVING OR PARKED. ONCE THE BRAKE IS PRESSED THEN IT CUTS OFF. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL RANDOMLY COME AND GO OFF FROM TIME TO TIME. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND ON AND THE STEERING FUNCTIONED AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER LUTHER BROOKDALE BUICK GMC LOCATED AT 4301 68TH AVE N, BROOKLYN CENTER, MN 55429, (612) 326-3785, HAD BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER A STEERING RECALL HOWEVER, THE RECALL CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 196,000.
WITH MY ENGINE I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE ON TIME SINCE I'VE GOT THE CAR. THAN RIGHT BEFORE ONE OIL CHANGE I HEAR A KNOCK IN THE ENGINE. SO I GET AN OIL CHANGE AGAIN AND IT WAS STILL MAKING THIS NOISE. FOLLOWING THAT MY AIR CIRCULATION FOR THE FAN WOULD STOP WORKING AT TIMES. MY RADIO ELECTRIC LINE SEEMS DAMAGED. WORKS SOMETIMES.
THE POWER STEERING KEEPS TURNING OFF ON MY CAR. IVE NOTICED THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THESE CARS IN THE PAST HOWEVER MINE DOESNT SEEM TO BEIN THE RECALL. WHY IS THIS?? THE SMALL PLASTIC PROTRUSIONS USED TO ATTACH FUEL LINES TO THE FUEL PUMP FAILED, 2 OUT OF 3 BROKE, RESULTING IN FUEL SPRAYING ALL OVER THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK.

WE BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2015 AND JUST RECENTLY THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING NEARLY CAUSED A CRASH. I LOOKED AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING MOTOR. I CALLED PONTIAC AND THEY TOLD ME THE REPAIR WAS DONE OCT 2014 ALMOST A YEAR BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT. AND PONTIAC IS SAYING THAT IT IS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY DONE. HOW IS IT THAT PONTIAC ISN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAME THING EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN FIXED FOR A FEW YEARS AND THEN THE SAME PROBLEM STARTS UP AGAIN
THE POWER STEERING IN THE CAR IS BAD I'M A LITTLE PERSON AND NOW IT CAUSE A LOT MORE STRAIN ON MY ARMS CAUSE IT IS SO HARD TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL
AT FIRST THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD BE STIFF.WE WOULD RESTART AND IT WOULD BE OK. THEN IN IDLE THE WHEEL WOULD SHAKE. NOW THERE IS NO POWER STEERING AT ALL. VERY HARD TO DRIVE WITH NO POWER STEERING. UNABLE TO DRIVE WITHOUT REPAIRS.
POWER STEERING MESSAGE IS CONTINUALLY COMING ACCROSS MY RADIO. I'VE TAKEN IT TO A CHEVROLET DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THERE IS RECALLS FOR THIS ON MY CAR BUT GM TELLS ME THERE ISN'T. I KNOW I ONLY HAD 1 RECALL DONE ON MY CAR AND THAT WAS FOR MY BRAKE LIGHTS.
MY CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, I WENT TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND THE DOOR HANDLE BROKE OFF. THIS PRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE IF THE FACT THIS CAR ONLY HAS ONE KEY ENTRY. SO IF YOU LOCK YOUR KEYS IN THE CAR AND YOUR DRIVER'S HANDLE BREAKS OFF OR DOESN'T WORK YOUR NOT GETTING IN YOUR CAR EVEN WITH YOUR KEYS BECUZ THERE IS ONLY ONE KEY HOLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. 3 MONTHS AFTER THE DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLE BROKE OFF. I WAS SHOPPING CAME OUT OF STORE WENT TO PUT MY GROCERIES IN FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AND THAT DOOR HANDLE BROKE OFF. SO THAT LEAVES ME NO THERE CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE MY WINDOWS DOWN ENOUGH TO BE ABLE REACH IN AND OPEN THE DOOR FROM INSIDE OR OR LEAVE MY DOORS UNLOCKED BECUZ I CAN NOT UNLOCK MY DOORS WITH THE ONE KEY ENTRY BECUZ OF THE DOOR HANDLE BREAKING OFF. WHAT IF SOME HOW THE DOORS WERE TO ACCIDENTLY LOCK WITH A SMALL CHILD INSIDE ? YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE GET INTO THAT CAR TO GET THAT CHILD!
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET THIS MORNING, THE 14TH OF OCTOBER, 2019, WHEN OUT OF NOWHERE MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT. THE CAR WAS PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING ANY FASTER (AS I WAS ONLY GOING AROUND 30 MPH) I MORE THAN LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN THROWN OVER THE SIDE OF THE HILL. MY POWER STEERING RETURNED WHEN I RESTARTED MY CAR BUT I CAN'T DRIVE IN FEAR THAT IT WILL GO OUT AGAIN.
FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, THE INDICATOR LIGHTS IN THE VEHICLE HAVE BEEN RANDOMLY COMING ON FOR ONE TING OR ANOTHER. THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AS WELL AS THE ENGINE LIGHT. AT ONE POINT, THE GAS GAUGE INDICATES THAT THE TANK IN ABOUT EMPTY WHEN WE HAVE JUST FILLED THE TANK HALF OF THE WAY. BEING SENIOR CITIZENS, IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET A DIAGNOSIS ON THE CAR WITHOUT PAYING BEYOND YOUR BUDGET, OR GETTING THE REPAIRS DONE. ALSO THE POWER STEERING FREEZES UP WHILE DRIVING SOMETIMES.
STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE INSIDE & OUTSIDE OF CAR. ITS STRONG THAT IT BURNS MY EYES. ALSO POWER STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES & TRIES TO DRIVE ITSELF. IT VIBRATES WHEN SITTING STILL ALSO.
BREAKING LIGHTS COME WITH OUT TOUCHING THE PEDDLE WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.TWO PEOPLE HAVE PULLED UP TO ME AT STOP LIGHTS TELLING ME THAT THE BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON. DRIVING DOWN THE HWY YOU AT NIGHT,YOU CAN SEE THAT THEY ARE ON,ALL THE REFLECTORS ARE LIGHTED UP

WHILE PULLING OUT OF GAS STATION POWER STEERING FAILS WHILE MAKING TURN OUT ONTO MAIN ROUTE. FAILURE WAS A POWER STEERING MOTOR MODULE ON 8/30/2019
Power-steering went out abruptly and had to be replaced. I wasn't aware of the recall several years prior to the incident. Upon further research acquired I learned of any refunds on any repairs for this situation.

THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V064000 (STEERING) AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 9-5388371164. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.

ADDITIONALLY, THE SECURITY SYSTEM ENGAGED AND THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING AND AIR BAG WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 95358554395B. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING PRESSED.. SAME TIME IT TURNS OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM.. REPLACED BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN 1 MONTH LATER, AS SOON AS THE CRUISE CONTROL SHUTS OFF AT ANY SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY I STOP AND CHECK. AND OF COURSE THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE STUCK ON.
WHILE DRIVING THE WHEEL WILL STUTTER AND TURN BY ITSELF AND BEGIN TO LOCK UP AND LOSE POWER STEERING. THE CAR WAS ALREADY LOOKED AT AND TORQUE SENSOR WAS REPLACED FROM A PREVIOUS RECALL BUT THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS AND THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT CHANGE AGAIN. I FEAR I WILL LOSE CONTROL OF MY CAR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION COULD ONLY SHIFT INTO REVERSE. THE CONTACT LIVED DOWN THE ROAD AND DROVE IN REVERSE TO HER HOME. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
HAVE REPLACED BULBS IN HEADLIGHTS AND THE CONNECTORS YET THE HEAD LIGHTS WILL STILL NOT TURN ON HAVE TO USE BRIGHTS AND THEY SOMETIMES DONT WORK. THE FUEL SENSOR ON THE GAS TANK KEEPS CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO TURN ON AND CAUSING ENGINE TO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE BRAKE LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD KEEPS COMING ON WHEN ALL BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALONG WITH CALIPERS AND ROTORS.
MY 2006 PONTIAC G6 HAS BEEN GIVING MY WIFE ISSUES WHILE SHE IS DRIVING. AT RANDOM TIMES, THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT, ABS SENSOR COMES ON, AND THE LIGHTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CAR START TO DIM. THIS HAS CAUSED HER TO NEARLY HAVE AN ACCIDENT AND IS UNSAFE FOR THE ROAD. I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATOR BECAUSE IT SEEMED LIKE A POWER ISSUE, BUT THERE WAS MORE BEHIND THE ISSUE. WHENEVER I CALLED MY GM DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE AND THEY WOULD REPLACE THE TORQUE SENSORS IN THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM IF THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER 150,000 MILES. SINCE I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED BY GM OF THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY ISSUE AND HAD TO CALL THEM DIRECTLY TO FIND OUT THERE WAS AN ISSUE, MY VEHICLE HAS 155,000 MILES ON IT AND THEY WILL NOT FIX IT.
I NOTICED AFTER I GOT THE CAR THAT THE GAS WAS GOING AWFUL FAST, SO I DECIDED TO LOOK INTO AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A GAS LEAK AND IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP
THE VEHICLE VIBRATES IN A CERTAIN PATTERN WHEN ABOVE 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING IT. ALL 4 STRUTS ARE NEW, SWAY BAR BUSHINGS, SWAY BAR LINKS, CONTROL ARMS BOTH UPPER AND LOWER, ALL BRAKE ROTORS ARE NEW. CANNOT GET THE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED BY ANYONE BECAUSE THEY CANNOT FIND OUT WHAT IT IS. ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF (CODE GIVEN IS FOR RUNNING LEAN) BUT NO MECHANIC OR DEALERSHIP HAVE FOUND WHY IT'S HAPPENING. ONE DEALERSHIP EVEN TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE CARS ECU. SO THEY TOLD ME TO VERIFY IF MY CAR HAD ANY RECALLS. PLEASE, ANY HELP ABOUT THIS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A MONTH NOW (TODAY'S DATE 5/9/19)
I'VE CONTACTED GM REGARDING THE ISSUE I'M HAVING WITH MY VEHICLE, I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY POWER STEERING. MY VEHICLE WHEEL BECOMES HARDS TO TURN WHEN REVERSING CAR. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED, I'VE BEEN TOLD MY EPS IS BAD. I TOOK MY CAR TO A GM DEALERSHIP IN 2014 AFTER RECEIVING NOTICE ABOUT TORQUE RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING. I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY POWER STEERING, I WAS TOLD THE PART THAT WAS REPLACED IN 2014 HAS EXPIRED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT DUE TO THE RECALL BEING FIXED AND NOW HAVING DEFAULTS. I'M CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY .
