TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD CLICKING NOISE THAT WAS COMING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERING COLUMN. ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SOUTH TEXAS BUICK-GMC (4220 W EXPY 83, MCALLEN, TX 78501) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ONCE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING), BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 8-3867825712. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
I HAD BOUGHT THIS CAR IS 2015 AND MY HEADLIGHT PLUGS INSIDE THE ASSEMBLY HAVE NOW MELTED TWICE, I HAVE REPLACED THEM BOTH TIMES, AND HAVE KEPT THEME BOTH. IT IS ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE..I HAVE READ MULTIPLE REPORT OF THIS SAME ISSUE WITH THIS CAR, AND IT IS A FIRE HAZARD.
MY 2008 PONTIAC G6 CONVERTIBLE IS LEAKING FUEL FROM THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK. I HAD THE CAR LIFTED UP ON LIFTS AT THE DEALERSHIP I WORK AT AND SAW THAT THERE WAS FUEL ALL AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE FUEL TANK. THE FUEL LINE IS LEAKING BECAUSE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT START ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. THE SECOND ATTEMPT BUILDS UP ENOUGH FUEL PRESSURE FOR A NORMAL START. THE FUEL ODOR HAS GOTTEN SO BAD INSIDE THE CABIN THAT I HAVE TO KEEP THE WINDOWS CRACKED AT ALL TIMES WHILE DRIVING TO KEEP ME FROM GETTING A HEADACHE. I CAN BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND LITERALLY WATCH THE FUEL NEEDLE DROP. GM NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE BEFORE I OR SOMEONE ELSE ARE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN KILLED IN A FIRE!
INTERMITTENT FLASHING BEEPING SEAT BELT ALERT WHILE WEARING SEATBELT. NOW AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT ON PERMANENTLY. STARTED WHILE DRIVING APPROX 35 MILES PER HOUR ON CITY STREET. DID VIN SEARCH, STATING NO RECALLS FOR IT. I HAVE READ MULTIPLE SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. I'M SCARED FOR MY SAFETY. WANT TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS A RECALL SO PROBLEM CAN BE ADDRESSED ASAP.

WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN IT WAS DEPRESSED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS A LEAK NEAR THE AXLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (TODD WENZEL BUICK GMC OF WESTLAND LOCATED AT 35100 FORD RD WESTLAND, MI 45185 734-423-1007) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 8-298340334. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
CAR MONITOR INDICATE CHECK AIR BAG. PROBLEM FOR REMOVE THE KEY FROM IGNITION SWITCH, THE CAR LOSS A LOT POWER STEERING. WHEN I APPLY THE BREAK THE DIRECTION VIBRATE A LOT AND MAKE NOISE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL, CHECK ENGINE, AND TIRE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE ALSO EXPERIENCED VIOLENT SHAKING. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES WERE SEVERELY CORRODED. THE DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR, I RANDOMLY LOSE MY POWER STEERING. I AM THEN UNABLE TO TURN. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN A NEIGHBORHOOD A FEW TIMES. I AM NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR. UPON CONTACTING A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR, I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. WHEN I LOOKED AT NHTSA.GOV, THE MAKE AND MODEL HAD A RECALL, BUT NOT MY CAR VIA VIN. THE CAR IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE THAT OTHERS ARE HAVING THAT HAVE THE RECALL ACTIVE.
TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON EVERYDAY FOR NO REASON IT'S LIKE IT'S BEEN TURNED OFF BUT IT HASN'T WHEN IT COMES ON THERE IS A LITTLE HESITATION MY CONCERN IS SAFETY MSG SAYS IT'S NEED TO BE SERVICED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 1-3 MINUTES, THE POWER STEERING RETURNED TO NORMAL AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE BACK HOME AND PARK THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
MY CAR ROLLED BACKWARD WHILE IN PARK WHEN BEING REMOVED FROM THE BACK OF A TOW TRUCK. I PARKED MY CAR AND WHEN I RETURN THE CAR WOULDN'T START. I HAD IT TOWED AND THAT IS WHEN IT ROLLED OFF THE TOW TRUCK WHILE THE GEAR SHIFT WAS IN PARK. I BELIEVE FOR SOME REASON THE CAR WAS IN GEAR (REVERSE). THE CAR THEN START AND APPEARS TO FUNCTION WITHOUT ISSUE. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND 2009 G6 WERE RECALLED FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE AS WELL AS SATURN AURA. THESE CARS USE THE SAME COMPONENTS AS THE 2008 G6. FORTUNATELY MY EXPERIENCE HAD NO CONSEQUENCE MAINLY BECAUSE I PARKED MY CAR ON LEVEL GROUND. I NOW CONSIDER THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND I WILL NOT USE THE CAR UNTIL I HAVE SOMEONE INSPECT THE CAR.

I HAVE A 2008 PONTIAC G6 - THE STEERING WHEEL HAS A SHAKING/JERKING PROBLEM. WHEN DRIVING, THE CAR CAN JERK RIGHT OR LEFT UNEXPECTEDLY. THERE WAS A RECALL A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO SUPPOSEDLY TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR IN THE STEERING COLUMN); HOWEVER IT NEVER CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THEM TWICE NOW EXPLAINING THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED, BUT THEY REFUSE TO OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE IN TERMS OF COST OR WARRANTY. ADDITIONALLY, THEY ARE REQUIRING THAT I TAKE IT TO A GM DEALERSHIP AND PAY FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE COMPANY NEEDS TO STAND BEHIND THEIR MISTAKES AND MAKE THEM RIGHT - THE RECALL DIDN'T WORK, AND I HAVE A VEHICLE UNFIT FOR THE ROAD.
WHILE IN MOTION WEATHER IT IS ON HIGHWAY OR ON A CITY STREET, NOT ALL THE TIME BUT IS HAPPENING MORE AND MORE, MY STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP TIGHT WHERE I AM HAVING TO USE GREAT FORCE TO KEEP MY CAR IN THE CORRECT POSITION FROM HITTING SIDEWALLS OR OTHER MOVING VEHICLES. WHILE I AM SITTING STATIONARY MY WHEEL WILL VIBRATE BACK AND FORTH FAST, THIS HAPPENS WHILE IN DRIVE OR PARK. I AM SCARED FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD SONS LIFE AS WELL AS MINE NOW BECAUSE OTHER DAY WHICH MADE ME RESEARCH THIS ISSUE MORE, I WAS GOING DOWN HIGHWAY AT 60MPH, THE WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME AND I HAD NO CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE, I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY STEER IT BACK INTO MY LANE AFTER NEARLY HITTING THE DIVIDER WALL. I AM SCARED TO EVEN DRIVE MY CAR AT THIS POINT, THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE THAT IS GETTING WORSE. I HAD FOUND 3 RECALLS ON MY CAR THAT I HAD COMPLETED AT LOUISVILLE,KY AT BROWN BROTHERS CADILLAC. ONE WHICH INCLUDED SOMETHING IN THE STEERING, HOWEVER I EVEN TOOK IT BACK TO HAVE THEM LOOK OVER IT BECAUSE ISSUE WAS ISSUE THERE WITH STEERING LOCKING UP. I WILL NOT KEEP DRIVING MY SO0N AROUND IN A UNSAFE CAR, I AM A SINGLE MOM WORKING TO MAKE A GOOD LIFE FOR MY SON AND IM SCARED TO EVEN DRIVE TO THE STORE.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE STARTER ENGAGED INDEPENDENTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT DUE TO THE STARTER ENGAGING INDEPENDENTLY, THE VEHICLE COULD CATCH FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
HAS 2 RECALLS TABS ON TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE END MAY FRACTURE AND SEPARATE NEED TO ATTACH WIRING HARNESS TO THE BCM WITH A SPACER
I HAVE ONLY DROVE THE CAR FOR 5 TOTAL DAYS AND SALE CHEVROLET HAS HAD IT THE REMAINDER OF THE TIME. THEY CAN'T SEEM TO REPAIR THE CAR.
I HAVE SENT IN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS IN REGARDS TO MY 2008 PONTIAC G6 LOSS OF POWER STEERING PROBLEM WITH NO RESULTS. THE DEALER SAID IT WASN'T PART OF THE RECALL SO I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT BUT EVERYWHERE I LOOK I SEE THAT IT IS A RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT TO OPERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THERE WERE RECALLS FOR THE SAME YEAR AND MAKE OF MY VEHICLE FOR ISSUES WITH VARIABLE ASSIST ELECTRIC POWER STEERING, BUT WHEN I CALLED TO SEE IF MY VIN WAS ON THE LIST I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT. THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE AND I HEAR THAT IS THE REASON PONTIAC CONVERTED BACK TO THE HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING IN 2010. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND CANNOT AFFORD TO FIX THIS PROBLEM WITH A DEFECTIVE PART. PLEASE HELP ME HAVE JUSTICE. I'VE HAD THE HARDEST TIME THESE LAST FEW WEEKS DRIVING WITH NO POWER STEERING AND HAVE ALMOST WRECKED NUMEROUS TIMES. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THERE WAS NO WRECK IT OR ANYTHING THAT SPAWNED THIS PROBLEM. I AM SURE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE PART.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
I PURCHASED THE CAR IN MARCH, 2017. THE WARNING LIGHTS KEEP COMING ON. I HAVE NEVER HAD THE CAR MORE THAN A FEW DAYS AT THE TIME WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS TO BE DONE. THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIXED IT. I HAVE REQUESTED THAT THEY KEEP THE CAR BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND IT IS NOT FAIR FOR ME TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT I CANNOT DRIVE. THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING BUT SAY THAT THEY CAN FIX IT AND IT IS STILL NOT FIXED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
THERE IS NO POWER GOING TO THE ALTERNATOR. BATTERY, STATES AND ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED ALSO DIAGNOSED SHOWS. PER ONSTAR THERE'S ISSUE WITH THE POWER TRAIN SYSTEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200,000.
AS DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE OFF AND ON. THEN, THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY ON THE INTERSTATE.

THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED FOR SEVERAL DAYS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC WAS BEING PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 141,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING, BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE CONTACT WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME FAILURE WITH THE POWER STEERING AS INDICATED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING AND IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THE CONTACT TO TURN THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING INCLUDING TWO OTHER RECALLS FOR THE BRAKE LAMP AND TRANSMISSION WIRE. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS. THE RECALL DETAILS WERE NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.
WE WERE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THIS PAST WEEKEND WHEN THE POWER STEERING ALERT SHOWED ON THE RADIO DISPLAY. IMMEDIATELY WENT TO MANUAL STEERING. CHECKED THE GM OWNER SITE WHICH SHOWS SPECIAL WARRANTY NUMBER 15356 WHICH MAY COVER THE ISSUE. HOWEVER, THE LIMIT WAS 10 YEARS OR 150,000 MILES, WHICH IS RIDICULOUS IF THAT IS FOUND TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS ISSUE TO HAVE COME UP, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, WHEN ONE IS DRIVING THE CARE AT THE TIME WITH NO WARNING OF THE ISSUE!!! NOW THE DEALER IS SAYING I MAY HAVE TO PAY OVER $1000 FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THAT WARRANTY, AS THE CAR IS OVER 150K MILES ALTHOUGH IT IS LESS THAN 10 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN REPLACING THE SOCKET/HARNESS FOR MY LOW BEAMS ON BOTH SIDES FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. THIS HAS OCCURRED SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN AUGUST OF 2011. THE SOCKETS ARE MELTING, WHICH TO ME IS BOTH A FIRE HAZARD, AND A SAFETY HAZARD FOR NIGHT DRIVING SINCE THE LOW BEAMS DON'T WORK WITH A MELTED SOCKET. THIS ISSUE OCCURS ON BOTH SIDES. I HAVE ALSO RECEIVED A TRAFFIC VIOLATION TICKET AFTER BEING PULLED OVER, WHICH I WAS ABLE TO GET DROPPED BECAUSE I FIXED IT THE NEXT DAY. EITHER WAY, THIS IS A FIRE AND SAFETY HAZARD THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED! I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACING MELTING COMPONENTS A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR! I ALSO AVOID USING MY FOG LIGHTS BECAUSE I THINK THIS MELTS THEM QUICKER DUE TO EXTRA CURRENT AND HEAT DRAW. ALSO, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THERE WAS A RECALL FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF GM VEHICLES FOR THE VERY SAME ISSUE. WHY NOT THE PONTIAC G6??? *TR

I HAVE A PONTIAC G6 2008 THAT ONLY HAS 83,500 MILES ON IT. THE AIRBAG LIGHT TURNED ON ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AND HAS NOT TURNED OFF. ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO THE TRACTION LIGHT TURNED ON FOR ABOUT 2 DAYS AND THAN WENT OFF . THE LAST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED IS THAT 2 WEEKS AGO THE BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON EVEN WHEN I AM NOT PRESSING THE BRAKE AND DO NOT TURN OFF UNLESS I TURN OFF THE CAR. AND I ALMOST FORGOT I ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE GAS CAP MY ENGINE LIGHT KEPT ON TURNING ON SO I ORDERED ANOTHER ONE DIRECTLY FROM THE DEALER AND I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM. ITS LIKE NEVER ENDING.

WHILE DRIVING CITY OR HIGHWAY BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON. WHEN YOU PUSH BRAKE PEDAL WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING BRAKE LIGHTS GO OUT. THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE WORKING OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY SHOULD. WHEN BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WHILE DRIVING IF YOU TAP BRAKE PEDAL LIGHTS WILL GO OUT FOR 5 SECONDS THEN COME BACK ON. VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING WITH THIS ISSUE. CAR WAS RECALLED IN 2014 AND TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL FIX. I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNROLL NOW. RECALL NUMBER14V252000 FOR CORROSION IN BACK CONNECTION. I HAD BRAKE SWITCH REPLACED AND HAD COMPUTER REPROGRAMMED 3 TIMES NOW AND PROBLEM PERSIST. GM 2014 RECALL FIX FOR THE PROBLEM IS NOT A FIX. CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. *TR

THAT SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME! NOW THE SEAT BELT LIGHT IS ON BECAUSE I MOVED THE DRIVERS SEAT FORWARD. THAT IS INTERMITTENT. PLEASE, FIND THE RIGHT PERSON TO DECLARE THIS WORTHY OF A RECALL. ONE PERSON DYING BECAUSE OF THIS IS ONE PERSON TOO MANY. AIRBAGS AND SEAT BELTS ARE OUR ONLY SAFETY IN A CAR. IF WE DON'T HAVE THAT, THE CARS SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE BY THE MANUFACTURER, AND THE OWNER REIMBURSED.
