TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE BRAKES SQUEAKED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP TWICE WHERE THE ROTORS WERE RESURFACED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND FILED A COMPLAINT; THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT IF THEY COULD NOT FIND A MECHANICAL FAILURE, THEY COULD NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS CONTINUOUSLY OVERHEATED AND WOULD BURN OUT. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHT WIRING PIGTAIL MELTED, CAUSING THE FAILURE. AS A RESULT, THE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED ON ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
I HAVE REPLACE THE HOUSING THAT HOLDS THE HEADLIGHTS (PIGTAILS) ON BOTH SIDE OF THIS PONTIAC FIVE TIMES NOW. THE CAR SENDS TOO MUCH ELECTRIC CURRENT TO THE LIGHT BULBS THAT OVER HEATS THE PIGTAILS AND MELTS THEM. I'VE SEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO THE G6'S. THIS HAS TO BE ADDRESS AND GM SHOULD DO A RECALL TO FIX THIS BEFORE THE CARS CATCH ON FIRE. PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH YOUR RESPONSE WITH THE WORD "PONTIAC" IN THE SUBJECT LINE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHILE IDLING. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WOULD CONTINUOUSLY FAIL SPORADICALLY AND WHEN FIRST STARTING THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE FROM THE ENGINE AREA. THE DEALER REPLACED THE THREADING IN THE STEERING COLUMN TWICE TO NO AVAIL AND THE DEALER NEVER GAVE THE CONTACT A REASON FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ALSO ATTEMPTED TO DETECT THE ENGINE NOISE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE WHAT WAS CAUSING THE NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
HEAD LIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT...THE WIRES CONNECTED WITH THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE BURNT AND CORRODED. I HAVE REPLACE THESE PARTS 20 TIMES SINCE 2009. THIS TIME ON JANUARY 1, 2015 THE WIRES AND CONNECTORS ARE TO BURNT TO REPAIR AND THE DEALER SHIP SAID I WILL HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE HARNESS KIT ASSEMBLY INSTEAD OF JUST THE WIRES. WHY SHOULD I, THIS PROBLEMS IS FAR AND WIDE ON THE INTERNET WITH THE PONTIAC G6. I TRAVEL WITH MY JOB AND I HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE TIMES BOTH HEADLIGHTS GOING OUT ON ME AND I HAD TO USE THE HIGH BEAM JUST TO GET HOME. PLEASE LET GM KNOW AND ISSUE SOME KIND OF RECALL BEFORE I DIE ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO THESE FAULTY HEADLIGHT WIRES. *JS
I WAS ON THE ROAD AND THE ANTI THEFT LOCK SYMBOL APPEARED JUST BEFORE ALL MY DASH GAUGES WENT WACKY. I DIDN'T HAVE SPEEDOMETER AND THEN NO ODOMETER SO I PULLED OFF ROAD AND SHUT OFF CAR BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE COULD HAPPEN. CAR WOULDN'T RESTART AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. WIRING HARNESS WAS THE PROBLEM ACCORDING TO THE MECHANICS THAT REPAIRED MY CAR. I TOOK MY CAR IN AGAIN AFTER FIX BECAUSE REMOTE START INTERRUPTED AND WOULDN'T WORK AND WAS TOLD REMOTE NEEDED A NEW BATTERY EVEN THOUGH IT ONLY HAD 29,000 MILES. *TR

BREAK FAILURE COULD LEAD TO INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCES, WHICH INCREASED THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT THE TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 34,790.
I AM A INSURANCE ADJUSTER FOR ERIE INSURANCE, ON 11/28/2008 OUR INSURED PARKED HER RENTAL CAR A 2008 PONTIAC G6 IN FRONT OF HER HOME AND PLACED THE CAR IN PARK. SHE EXITED THE CAR ONLY TO FIND THAT THE CAR BEGAN TO ROLL AWAY AND STRUCK A LAMP POST IN HER NEIGHBORS YARD. THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR WAS $2097.32 & THE DAMAGE TO THE NEIGHBORS PROPERTY WAS $1764.27. *TR
