Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)WE WERE DRIVING DOWN I40 TO LITTLE ROCK AND THE TREAD ON THE TIRES SEPARATED AND CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE TO OUR VEHICLE. THE TIRES FIRST STARTED MAKING A CLICKING SOUND AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE TREAD CAME LOOSE AND CAUSE WHAT SOUNDED LIKE AN EXPLOSION. THE GROUND EFFECTS, BUMPER , GAS COVER AND GAS CAP WERE BLOWN OFF. ANY OTHER DAMAGE IS NOT KNOWN AT THIS TIME DUE TO IT NOT BEING LOOKED AT BY A SHOP YET. *TR
INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY DOUGLAS TIRES SIZE 225/60/16 INCH, THE TIRES ARE DEVELOPING LEAKS AT THE POINT WHERE THE TREAD MEETS THE SIDEWALL. IT HAS NOT CAUSED A ACCIDENT BUT THE TIRES ARE FAIRLY NEW WITH ABOUT 8/32 TREAD LEFT ON THEM, BUT ARE UNSAFE TO USE AND ARE NOT REPAIRABLE. ANY HELP WITH INFORMATION ON COMPANY RECALLS WOULD BE HELPFUL. [XXX] *TR
2006 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX - DEFECTIVE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS. I HAD MY RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARING REPLACED TWO YEARS IN A ROW. JAN, 2009 AND JAN 2010. THIS WAS COVERED UNDER THE DRIVE SYSTEM WARRANTY. IN ORDER TO GET THIS RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL SHOP SINCE THE DAVIS PONTIAC WENT OUT OF BUSINESS 1 WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR. THE WORK WAS DONE AND I MAINTAINED THE ORIGINAL INVOICE AND MY PROOF OF PAYMENT. HOWEVER, I CONTACTED PONTIAC AND REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE $500 I SPENT ON THE LABOR AND PARTS AND THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE REIMBURSEMENT BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THE DEFECTIVE PARTS. OBVIOUSLY, THERE IS AN ISSUE IF THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARING WENT TWO YEARS IN A ROW. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH GM AND DON'T PLAN TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THEM SINCE THEY CLEARLY DON'T VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS NOR POLICIES AND DON'T WANT TO WORK TO RESOLVE THE DILEMMA. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
