WALTON BEACH (541 MARY ESTHER CUT OFF NW, FORT WALTON BEACH, FL 32548, (850) 244-7611) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT SEVERAL BOLTS TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WERE FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.

TAKATA RECALL, I HAVE A TICKING! KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. WHEN START VEHICLE AND WHILE DRIVE TICKING SOUND OVER 2 WEEKS HAVE GOTTEN LOUDER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE CRANKED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. ONCE THE KEY WAS REMOVED, THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO OPERATE AND CAUSED THE BATTERY TO DRAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V200000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. UPON INSPECTING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED PREMATURE RUST, CORROSION, AND HOLES ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRAME FROM THE FRONT TO THE REAR. THE FAILURE PROGRESSED TO THE POINT THAT IT COULD AFFECT COMPONENTS ATTACHED TO THE FRAME PERTAINING TO THE FUEL TANK. THE DEALER (BUTTON CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM, 1220 E BLVD ST, KOKOMO, IN 46902, (765) 360-4063) WAS ABLE TO VERIFY THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD PROVIDE A SOLUTION; HOWEVER, THE PART WAS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER. THE DEALER DID NOT HAVE A DATE OR TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF AN UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER RECALL FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM CONCERNING THE FUEL TANK AND RAILINGS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE REMAINED PARKED DUE TO THE FAILURE AND THERE WAS NO SPECIFIED TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THE PARTS WOULD ARRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A KNOWN ISSUE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF WITH THE KEY REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION, THE ENGINE DID NOT SHUT OFF. IN ADDITION, THE SHIFTER WAS ABLE TO CHANGE GEARS WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GALEANA'S VAN DYKE DODGE (28400 VAN DYKE AVE, WARREN, MI 48093), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000.
AS I'M DRIVING,THE TRUCK JUST SHUTS OFF WHEN COMING TO A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW. TODAY I CAME WITH IN INCHES OF MY LIFE WHEN AS I WAS TURNING INTO A DRIVEWAY IT JUST SHUT OFF. ON SOCIAL MEDIA I HAVE SEEN QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. BUT YET THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM.
2/25 I DISCOVERED THE FRAME CROSSMEMBER WHERE ONE OF THE TWO STRAPS WHICH HOLD UP THE FUEL TANK RUSTED AWAY TO THE POINT THAT THE STRAP HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE FRAME. I CONTACTED RAM CUSTOMER CARE VIA ONLINE CHAT ASKING FOR A REPAIR ESTIMATE, IF THEY COULD VERIFY THAT THE PART NUMBER I HAVE LOCATED CAN ACTUALLY RECTIFY THE SITUATION, IF THEY COULD VERIFY IF THE TSB I'VE LOCATED IS RELATED TO THIS ISSUE, AND IF THEY COULD ADVISE WHICH DEALER CLOSE TO ME HAS AN ON-SITE BODY SHOP TO PERFORM THE REPAIR AND IF THEY'RE HIGHLY RATED BY FCA, AND THEIR ONLY RESPONSE WAS TO ADVISE THEY CAN SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME AND PROVIDE THE NUMBER FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, WHICH THEY WERE UNWILLING TO COVER TRANSPORTATION COSTS. THE ATTACHED FILES SHOW THE STRAP ITSELF WHICH IS INTACT, THE PORTION OF THE FRAME WHICH THE STRAP PULLED OUT OF AND IS RUSTED, A PICTURE OF HOW LOW THE FUEL TANK IS CURRENTLY HANGING, AND THE PDF OF THE CONVERSATION WITH THE FCA REPRESENTATIVE WHICH OCCURRED 2/27.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED, IT ROLLED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY WITHOUT WARNING AND CRASHED INTO A MAILBOX, BIRD BATH, AND TELEPHONE POLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE BUMPER, EXHAUST PIPE, PAINT, AND TAIL LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND THEN TO LAMBERT AUTO SALES (5 RIVER RD, CLAREMONT, NH 03743) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTERLOCKING PIN, HEADLIGHTS, EXHAUST, AND ABS MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED AGAIN. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V821000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,709.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE REAR WHEELS LOCKED UP AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS BENT AND THE PINION NUT AND BEARINGS WERE SHAVED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO COURTESY CHRYSLER/DODGE IN CONYERS GEORGIA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE FRACTURED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC NOTIFIED THE CONTACT OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (SUSPENSION). THE VEHICLE REMAINED AT THE DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
FAILURE OF VALVE LIFTERS AND CAMSHAFT. QUESTIONABLE DESIGN REDUCES OIL FLOWDURING MDS ACTIVATION. MANY CASES OF THIS FAILURE.

THE CONTACT CALLED GOLLING CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AT 248-334-3600 (2405 S TELEGRAPH RD, BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI 48302) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY; THEREFORE, NOTHING COULD BE DONE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 20-25 MPH, THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL SEIZED AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE DRIVESHAFT WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
HAVE TO JIGGLE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION TO GET THE ENGINE TO START. HAVE HAD THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD USUALLY WHEN HITTING A BUMP OR TURNING AND HAVE TO PULL OVER, PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK AND JIGGLE THE KEY AND RESTART THE ENGINE.

REAR DIFFERENTIAL/PINION FAILURE WHICH WAS REPLACED IN 2014 ACCORDING TO DODGE AND HAS FAILED AGAIN JANUARY 2018. LOUD NOISE IS HEARD FROM REAR OF TRUCK. IT WAS DIAGNOSED BY MECHANIC, NOW DEALER WANTS TO VERIFY. ENGINE HAS HAD TO HAVE NEW CAMS PUT IN. ALSO HAS HAD FAILED EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS. EXHAUST ASSEMBLY HAS A TENDENCY TO FALL OFF THE TRUCK FOR NO REASON. IT SEPARATES AND COMES APART.
LOUD THUMPING BEHIND DASH. HAVE HAD A/C AND HEAT ACTUATORS REPLACED 2X IN PAST 2 YEARS. RECALL K17 APPLIED AND PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED. VEHICLE IS UNSAFE BECAUSE THERE IS NO HEAT AND DEFROSTERS DO NOT WORK IN THE WINTER WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW 20 DEGREES. THUMPING BEHIND DASH OCCURS WHEN CAR IS STARTED, WHILE DRIVING, AND WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OFF.
MY TRUCK HAS ISSUES WITH ALL THE ACTUATORS FOR HEATING AND COOLING. IT DOES IT RIGHT WHEN U START IT UP, AND ALSO WHILE YOUR DRIVING. I CAN'T SWITCH FAN MODES, I HAVE NO DEFROST SINCE THEY WON'T SWITCH. THE ONE ACTUATOR THAT MIGHT BE WORKING STAYS CLICKING. I KNOW THEY HAD A RECALL ON THIS (K-17) THERE SAYING IT DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VIN,BUT CLEARLY IT'S DOING THE SAME THING AS THE RECALL.

AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS LOCK AND UNLOCK AT WILL WHEN FOB IS IN HAND OR POCKET AND SOMETIMES WON'T UNLOCK AT ALL. THIS PROBLEM EXISTS WHEN EITHER FOB IS USED . REPLACED BATTERIES BUT STILL HAPPENS. SUSPECT DEFECTIVE "TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE" TIPM
THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE FRONT STRAP FOR THE GAS TANK RUSTED THROUGH CAUSING THE STRAP TO FALL AND THE GAS TANK TO HANG DOWN OFF THE TRUCK. HAD THE BACK STRAP FAILED TOO IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS ISSUES....UPDATED 12/11/17 *BF *JS
DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL BEARING FAILED PREMATURELY. LED TO WHEEL BEARING SLOT ON AXLE SHAFT TO WEAR CAUSING AXLE SHAFT DAMAGE. IF I HAD NOT CAUGHT THIS EARLY THE AXLE SHAFT MAY HAVE FAILED COMPLETELY RESULTING IN CATASTROPHIC DAMAGE. FIRST NOTICED SIGNS OF DAMAGE WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION
2010 DODGE RAM 1500 WITH 61,000 MILES WITH THE STEERING COLUMN BEARING FAILING- THROUGH RESEARCH OTHER 2010'S ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE STEERING WHEEL IS POPPING, GRABBING AND CATCHING. CALLED MANUFACTURER THEY SAID OUT OF WARRANTY, NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY- STARTING TO FEEL DANGEROUS TO DRIVE
DODGE 5.7L HEMI ENGINES HAVE 2 COMMON, RECURRING ISSUES. 1) ENGINE LIFTERS FAIL PREMATURELY CAUSING EXCESSIVE WEAR ON THE CAMSHAFT LOBES. THE END RESULT IS A COSTLY REPAIR HAVING TO REPLACE THE CAMSHAFT AND LIFTER. A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND WILL THROW A P030# CODE FOR A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER(S). WHEN THE MISFIRE HAPPENS THE VEHICLE STARTS SHACKING HORRIBLY. I HAVE SEEN A REPORT THAT A 2016 WITH 15K MILES HAD THE ISSUE ALL THE WAY BACK TO 2009 WITH ONLY 72K MILES AND SEVERAL IN BETWEEN. THERE ARE MULTIPLE FORUMS, THREADS, AND COMMENTS ON THIS ISSUE. IT SEEMS VERY COMMON AND DODGE SHOULD BE PROVIDING ASSISTANCE OUTSIDE OF WARRANTIES. YET THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING EXCEPT LOSE CUSTOMERS. 2) THE RECURRING EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BREAKING. MINE WAS REPAIRED ONCE UNDER WARRANTY AND IS CURRENTLY HAVING THE ISSUE AGAIN. AGAIN DODGE SEEMS TO DO NOTHING TO IMPROVE THE MATERIALS TO PREVENT THE ISSUE FROM RECURRING.

THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTED TO THE ENGINE BLOCK IS LEAKING AT 75000 MILES, UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION THIS IS DUE TO BOLTS BREAKING OFF AT THE ENGINE BLOCK LEVEL. BOLTS ARE SHEARING INSIDE THE ENGINE HOLE THREADS. THIS IS A VERY DISTINCT AND REOCCURRING ISSUE PLAGUED BY EVERY DODGE RAM OWNER. THERE IS A VERY LOUD DISTINCT TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE ENGINE MANIFOLD. AFTER 30-60 SECONDS IT ALMOST DISAPPEARS; SIMILAR TO ANY OTHER VIDEO OR COMPLAINT FOUND ON THE WWW. SOME HAVE CALLED THEIR DODGE DEALER COMPLAINING ABOUT IT AND EVEN THE DEALERS ARE RECOGNIZING THAT IT IS A FLAW BUT A RECALL WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD MY DRIVE SHAFT FELL OUT CAUSING 6000$ OF DAMAGE. INVESTIGATION RE REVILED A RECALL BECAUSE THE NUT THAT HOLD THE SHAFT IN WAS COMING LOOSE CAUSING IT TO FALL. UPON GETTING THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THE RECALL HAD BEEN FIXED IN 2014. THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND SAID THAT THE REMEDY FOR THE RECALL WAS NOT IN PLACE BUT CLAIM THAT BETWEEN THE RECALL BEING DONE AND THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THE REMEDY COULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED. WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 2 YEARS AND THIS ID THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAVE HAD.
THIS TRUCK SHUTS OFF WHEN HITTING BUMPS OR IF YOU JIGGLE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION CREATING AN UNSAFE CONDITION AT LOW AND HIGH SPEED SHUT-OFFS. THE REPAIR REQUIRED THE WIN MODULE TO BE REPLACED. THE WIN MODULE REPLACEMENT WAS REQUIRED ON ANOTHER SAFETY RECALL FOR OTHER DODGE RAM 1500S, BUT NOT THIS ONE. THE WIN MODULE RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED TO ADDITIONAL DODGE RAM UNITS. ALSO, THIS SAME PROBLEM WAS PART OF A RECALL ON 2009 DODGE JOURNEYS. THE SHUTOFF PROBLEM SPANS SEVERAL DODGE MODELS WITH THIS TYPE OF IGNITION. I WILL BE SUBMITTING A SECOND COMPLAINT FOR ANOTHER 2010 DODGE RAM WITH THE SAME SAFETY SHUT-OFF PROBLEM..

THIS VEHICLE HAS A BINDING WIRELESS IGNITION MODULE (WIN) RESULTING IN A CONDITION WHERE THE KEY MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH PRIOR TO PLACING THE SHIFTER IN PARK. EXACTLY THE SAME AS NHTSA RECALL REFERENCE #10V200000. THIS VEHICLE SIMPLY DOES NOT HAVE THE MATCHING PART NUMBERS OF THE RECALL. BUT EXACTLY THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND WIRELESS IGNITION NODE (WIN) NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
ONLY PUT 30,000 MILES ON THIS DODGE RAM SENCE I GOT IT AND THE REAR PINION SEAL WAS LEAKING, GOT IT REPLACED AND NOW IT IS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE SO LOAD I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT. THE REPAIR SHOP SAID IT HAS LOTS OF SHAVINGS INSIDE THE REAR END. AFRAID IT WILL LOCK UP AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY?
DURING FUEL FILL GAS WILL OVERFLOW OUT THE FUEL TANK AFTER THE GAS NOZZLE CLICKS OFF. THIS LEAVES A LARGE PUDDLE OF GAS ON THE GROUND AND ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK AND IF I WAS STANDING NEAR THE NOZZLE I WOULD BE FULL OF GAS ON MY CLOTHING. THIS HAPPENS AT EVERY FILL UP NO MATTER THE GAS STATION. SEEN DOZENS OF ON-LINE INFORMATION INCLUDING YOU TUBE VIDEOS OF EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER SAME YEAR MODEL TRUCKS.
WHILE DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 60 MPH THE DRIVELINE CAME APART AT REAR DIFFERENTIAL CONNECTION. WHILE TRYING TO PULL OFF TOWARDS SHOULDER THE VEHICLE BEGIN TO SLIDE INSTEAD OF TURN. IT HAS SEEMED AS IF THE DIFFERENTIAL LOCKED UP AND JUST SNAPPED AT THE U JOINT. THE VEHICLE APPARENTLY HAD A RECALL FOR THAT PROBLEM AND WAS REPORTED THAT IT WAS TAKEN CARE OF IN NOVEMBER OF 2014. IT SUMMED UP TO A $2700 DAMAGE. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED AND ONLY PUT 1003 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED. THIS VEHICLE WAS CONVERTED INTO A EMERGENCY RESPONSE VEHICLE FOR OUR COMPANY AND WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN A 911 RESPONSE SETTINGS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS INVESTIGATED THE RECALL WORK AND HAS NOTIFIED US THAT IT HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED. *TR
