2010 DODGE RAM 1500 5.7. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE ERROR CODE. BROKEN VALVE SPRING AND LIFTER. FOUND EXACT PROBLEM ALL OVER THE INTERNET DODGE RAM FORUMS. PLEASE ISSUE RECALL.
THE HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) ACTUATOR GEARS ON MY VEHICLE ARE BROKEN, RESULTING IN THE INABILITY TO FULLY CONTROL THE HVAC FUNCTIONS.
THE HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) ACTUATOR GEARS ON MY VEHICLE HAVE BROKEN, RESULTING IN THE INABILITY TO FULLY CONTROL THE HVAC FUNCTIONS. THERE WAS A K17 RECALL FOR MODELS: 2009-2010 (DS) RAM TRUCK (1500 SERIES) 2010 (DJ) RAM TRUCK (2500 SERIES), 2010 (D2) RAM TRUCK (3500 SERIES) NOTE: THIS RECALL ONLY APPLIED TO THE ABOVE VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH MAY 22, 2010 (MDH 05222010). MY VEHICLE IS 2010 AND WAS MADE AFTER MAY 22 (I BELIEVE IN JULY) I THINK THIS RECALL SHOULD APPLY TO ALL 2010 RAM 1500 VEHICLES AS MINE IS AFFECTED BUT CURRENTLY NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION, ALL INVOLVED VEHICLES MUST HAVE UPDATED HVAC CONTROL HEAD SOFTWARE INSTALLED AND THE MODE DOOR ACTUATORS MUST BE TESTED AND REPLACED AS REQUIRED. HOW CAN I HAVE MY 2010 VEHICLE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL TO REPAIR THIS KNOWN PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE STRUCK THE SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT VEERED INTO HIS LANE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE SUSTAINED UNSPECIFIED INJURIES THAT ALSO REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HOOD, FENDER, BUMPER, AND FRAME WERE DAMAGED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. ..UPDATED 06/21/17 *BF *CN
MY FUEL TANK STRAP COMPLETLEY RUSTED OFF THE MOUNTING HANGER ON THE FRAME WHICH ALMOST MADE THE TANK FALL OFF THIS COULD HAVE CREATED A FIRE WHILE DRIVING MY TRUCK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE FUEL TANK STRAPS DETACHED FROM THE FUEL TANK AND CAUSED IT TO HANG SLIGHTLY FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK STRAPS WERE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V821000 (POWER TRAIN) AND 18V160000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. EDDY'S CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (11028 W KELLOGG DR, WICHITA, KS 67209, (316) 773-2002) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TAKATA RECALL. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE YEAR AND MODEL OF MY TRUCK, BUT NOT MY VIN NUMBER.THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM THAT THE RECALL WAS MADE FOR IS WHAT GOING ON WITH MY TRUCK. I HAVE WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT HAVE BROKEN BOLTS ON MY EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET, BUT IT IS NOT UNDER THE RECALL, BECAUSE MY VIN DOES NOT STATE IT. THE TRUCK HAS THE SAME PARTS AS ALL THE OTHER TRUCKS, BUT IS NOT CONSIDERED UNDER THE RECALL ALTHOUGH IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE OTHERS. THE DEFECT IS COSTING MAJOR MONEY ON MY BEHALF ON SOMETHING THAT IS OUT OF MY CONTROL AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED BY THE MANUFACTURE.
I HAVE HAD THE RACK AND PINION NUT REPLACED ON A RECALL AND NOW IT'S ALL DOING IT AGAIN AND TRYING TO FIND OUT IF IT WOULD STILL BE COVERED AND CAUSING OTHER ISSUES IS IT STILL A RECALL ITEM THAT CAN BE TAKEN CARE OF IT'S ALL HAPPENING WHILE IN MOTION I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED OUT THREE TIMES AND THEY TELL ME IT'S THE BEARINGS AND THAT I SHOULD TAKE IT BACK TO THE CHRYSLER FOR THE RACK AND PINION NUT ISSUE THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED ALL THE PROBLEMS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION KEY FAILED TO SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND WOULD NOT EJECT FROM THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY; HOWEVER, THE IGNITION KEY POD DISENGAGED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
AFTER THE FIRST RECALL OF THE PINION NUT CAN LOOSEN, CAUSING THE REAR AXLE TO SEIZE. THE DRIVESHAFT ALSO MAY DETACH, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH. WE OPTED TO FIX THIS. SHORTLY AFTER THE SAME NOISE TOOK PLACE. THIS TIME IT IS THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL IS LOCKING UP. HOWEVER, THE DODGE SERVICE CENTER IS SAYING IT IS UNRELATED AND IT IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THE BACK-END IS SEIZING - SO THERE IS MORE THAN ONE CRITICAL MECHANICAL ERROR IN THIS VEHICLE. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. THIS TIME I WANT MY VEHICLE ELIGIBLE FOR A BUY-BACK. ITS BEEN A LEMON. THE ELECTRICAL WENT OUT IN 2011. NO WINDOWS CAN GO UP OR DOWN. ITS A HORRIBLY MADE VEHICLE ALL THE WAY AROUND.
THE GOODYEAR HP 275/60R20. I HAVE 76000 MILES ON MY DODGE RAM1500 I AM CURRENTLY ON MY SECOND SET OF TIRES I REPLACED THE FIRST SET AT 42000 I HAVE RUFFLY 34000 ON THIS SET. AND I HAVE A BUBBLE ON THE TIRE THAT IS RUFFLY THE SIZE OF A QUARTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TREAD; ALSO HAVE INSIDE WEAR WEAR THE TREAD IS SEPARATING. THE TIRES ARE HAVING EVEN WEAR THIS IS GOOD YEARS ISSUE !!!!! REMINDER THESE ARE 45000 MILE TREAD LIFE WARRANTY ????
DODGE FOBIK, MY TRUCK USES THE SAME IGNITION SWITCH AS THE JOURNEY, AND WHILE DRIVING MY TRUCK WILL SHUT OFF WITHOUT MOVING THE SWITCH. BUMPS SHUT MY TRUCK OFF, THIS SWITCH IS RIDICULOUSLY DANGEROUS. I WISH IT WAS A NORMAL SWITCH. IT HAS SHUT OFF 4 TIMES THIS WEEK, IF YOU TOUCH THE KEY IT SHUTS OFF. IT IS NOT A SAFE SYSTEM. IT STARTED THIS VERY INTERMITTENTLY WHEN MY FATHER OWNED THE TRUCK AT 53K MILES.

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ALSO JERKED FORWARD. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED BUT FAILED TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PINION IN THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL WAS FRACTURED AND THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. ....UPDATED 0711/16 *BF *CN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH OVER A WOODEN PLANK, THE CONTACT HEARD A BUMP SOUND. THE CONTACT NOTICED A SEVERE LEAK FROM THE PLASTIC FUEL TANK WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REFUELED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK HAD A BIG HOLE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
BRAKES FAILED APPROACHING A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION, WHILE TRYING TO SLOW DOWN FROM A 55-MPH ZONE. THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH NO BRAKE RESPONSE. LUCKILY, I HAD THE SENSE TO PUMP THE BRAKES QUICKLY BEFORE PLOWING INTO THE BUSY INTERSECTION! TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE MASTER BOOST PUMP, BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE ONE IN STOCK. BASICALLY, GOT MY TRUCK BACK A WEEK LATER AND WAS IN SHOCK OVER THE COST TO REPLACE ABOUT A $125 PART (AROUND $500). I NOTICED THAT THERE HAD BEEN RECALLS PERTAINING TO PROBLEMS IN THIS AREA WITH PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS AND EVEN 2010 YEAR MODELS, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT MY PARTICULAR VIN# WAS NOT AFFECTED...THINK THEY MAY NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS TO AVOID SOMEONE POSSIBLY BEING KILLED OR KILLING SOMEONE FROM A SIMILAR PROBLEM! COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC! AT THE VERY MINIMUM, DODGE SHOULD ISSUE A TSB AND SHOULD REFUND $$ FOR THE REPAIR!

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INHERENT TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS SHEERING OFF INSIDE ENGINE BLOCK ALLOWING MANIFOLD TO UNSEAT MAKING TICKING NOISE AND ALLOWING EXHAUST TO ESCAPE OUTSIDE THE VEHICLES MUFFLER. VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE THE FAULTY BOLTS BECAUSE MOST MUST BE DRILLED OUT OF THE BLOCK.
AIR BAG LIGHT WENT ON. TRUCK HAS ONLY 29K MILES ON IT! TRUCK STORED IN THE WINTER IN CLIMATE CONTROLLED STORAGE GARAGE. THE TRUCK IS NEVER OUT IN SNOW OR SALT. DEALER WANTS $1400 TO REPLACE IT !
WHEN TRAVELLING AT APPRX 65MPH AFTER ABOUT AN HR COMMUTE, THE TRUCK STARTED SHAKING/TREMBLING BADLY, STEERING WHEEL SHAKING SIDE TO SIDE, I HAD TO DROP MY SPEED TO 25/30 MPH TO REGAIN CONTROL OF STEERING AND SHAKING... AFTER ABOUT 15 MINS OR SO, IT WAS BACK TO NORMAL... BUT ONCE I STARTED TRAVELLING AGAIN SAME DISTANCE & MPH THE ISSUE STARTED AGAIN... THIS ISSUE IS RANDOM, THERE ARE TIMES IT DOES IT AND TIMES IT DOESNT, BUT MOST TIMES ITS ONCE THE VEHICLE IS AT A HIGH SPEED.
AAFTER RECALL NHTSA 13V-038 HAD BEEN "REPAIRED" IN 2014, THE EXACT DESCRIPTION OF WHAT HAPPENS TO THE VEHICLE HAPPENED 2 YEARS LATER. "THE REAR AXLE PINION NUT ON YOUR VEHICLE MAY LOOSEN DUE TO UNDERSIZED PINION SHAFT SPLINES. A LOOSE PINION NUT COULD CAUSE THE REAR AXLE TO SEIZE OR CAUSE THE DRIVESHAFT TO SEPARATE RESULTING IN A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER. EITHER SITUATION COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING." THE REAR AXLE SEIZED AND THE DRIVESHAFT SEPARATED RESULTING IN A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER. THE ENTIRE DRIVESHAFT ACTUALLY COMPLETELY FELL OFF OF THE VEHICLE WHILE GETTING ONTO THE FREEWAY. THIS "REPAIR" OBVIOUSLY DID NOT RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, ON ANOTHER OCCASION WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL WHINING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CARRIER BEARING CAPS FRACTURED, THE LOWER BOLTS SNAPPED FLUSHED WITH THE HOUSING, THE UPPER BOLTS WERE LOOSE, THE RING GEARS WERE WORN; HOWEVER, THE PINION NUT WAS STILL IN PLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000.
THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS HAVE SHEERED OFF JUST LIKE THEY DO ON MOST 5.7 HEMI RAMS. ALSO, THE BLEND DOOR ACTUATORS/BLEND DOOR ARE BROKEN JUST LIKE IN LOTS OF OTHER RAMS/CHRYSLER VEHICLES.
ROCKER PANELS ARE RUSTING FROM THE INSIDE OUT. CAUSING LARGE HOLES TO FORM. WHILE IN PARK, ROLLED THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW DOWN HEARD A METAL CLANK AND THE WINDOW WOULD NO LONGER GO UP OR DOWN, AS THE WINDOW REGULATOR FELL APART. WHILE DRIVING ON A COUNTRY ROAD, I NOTICED SLIGHT DIFFICULTY IN SHIFTING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. UPON HAVING THE CODE READ, THE TRANSMISSION SELENOID IS STUCK OPEN. TIE ROD ENDS ARE LOOSENING AS WELL. SO MANY ISSUES ON A 6 YEAR OLD VEHICLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE GEARS SLIPPED WITHOUT WARNING WHEN IN POSITION AND WHEN DRIVING OVER UNLEVELED LAND. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FLICKERED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED MULTIPLE TIMES AND, WHILE COASTING, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL TO BE RESTARTED. A DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIN MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE FOR WEEKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE DEALER WOULD TO PROVIDE A NEWLY DESIGNED PART OR IF THE SAME PART WOULD BE REPLACED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE KEY FELL OUT THE IGNITION SWITCH CAUSING THE CONTACT TO HAVE TO STOP THE VEHICLE IN ORDER TO RETRIEVE THE KEY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,863. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
2010 DODGE RAM 1500 HEMI TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN INSTANTLY THE GAUGE CLUSTER STARTED ACTING ERRATIC. FIRST THE TIRE PRESSURE DISPLAY SAID THAT DIFFERENT TIRES WERE SHOWING A MULTITUDE OF DIFFERENT PRESSURES THE GAS GAUGE STARTED FLICKERING BETWEEN FULL AND EMPTY AS WELL AS THE STOP WORKING OF THE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER AIR-CONDITIONED, POWER STEERING AND CONTINUAL WINDSHIELD WIPER ON EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE OFF AT THE SWITCH. RADIO INTERMITTENTLY ON AND OFF AND ABS AND AIRBAG LIGHT ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. ALL FOUR WINDOWS FAIL TO OPERATE AND INTERIOR LIGHTING WILL NOT COME ON. GAUGE FUNCTION FLUCTUATES EVERY COUPLE SECOND.

IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL EMITTED A HUMMING NOISE AND THE REAR SUSPENSION EMITTED A KNOCKING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.

TRYING TO DO BUYBACK PROGRAM. I PAID OVER $37,000, ONLY HAVE 55000 MILES , GOOD CONDITION AND ONLY BEING OFFERED $12000. I STILL OWE $3025.00 ON MY LOAN. I THOUGHT IT WAS FAIR MARKET VALUE? FRUSTRATED WITH CHRYSLERS RECALL. THEY ARE EITHER DRAGGING THEIR FEET THROUGH THE PROCESS OR THEY ARE INCOMPETENT. AFTER NUMEROUS TIMES OF CONTACTING THEM TO REPAIR REAR AXLE PINION AND THEM NOT HAVING THE PART, I DECIDE TO HAVE THEM BUY BACK MY VEHICLE. EACH TIME I HAVE CALLED THEY GIVE ME DIFFERENT INFORMATION. EACH TIME IT ADDS TWO WEEKS TO THE POINT I CAN TURN THE TRUCK IN FOR A CHECK. IN THE MEANWHILE I AM LEFT TO DRIVE A TRUCK THAT CAN ENDANGER MY 3 YEAR OLD AND NEW BORN. WHEN I CALLED FOR THE THIRD TIME TODAY THEY SAID I HAD TO ACCEPT THE OFFER THEY MADE ME FOR MY VEHICLE. THEN THEY WOULD SEND A LETTER TO ME TO SIGN AND THEN THEY WOULD ASSIGN AN INSPECTOR TO LOOK AT TRUCK. I ASKED WHY WAS THIS NOT TOLD TO ME LAST WEEK WHEN I CALLED. THEY REPLIED WE DIDN'T KNOW THE VALUE OF YOUR TRUCK. I SAID YES YOU DID I PRINTED IT OFF YOUR WEBSITE AND FAX IT TO YOU ON OCTOBER 13, 2015 PER YOUR REQUIREMENTS. THE WHOLE PROCESS HAS BEEN VERY POORLY HANDLED.

AS STATED IN THE NHTSA CONSENT ORDER AGAINST FCA US LLC PAGE 13 SEC 35, " THE ALTERNATIVE REMEDY WILL BE AN OFFER TO ELIGIBLE OWNERS TO REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE FIRST PURCHASER OF THE VEHICLE FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN RESALE, LESS A REASONABLE ALLOWANCE FOR DEPRECIATION, AND NOT INCLUDING THE COST OF MODIFICATIONS MADE TO THE VEHICLE AFTER FIRST RETAIL SALE("THE PURCHASE PRICE"). 1. WHY ARE THEY USING THE KBB TRADE IN VALUE FOR ESTIMATING THE REPURCHASE? 2. HOW DO I FIND THE FIRST PURCHASE PRICE AND SHOULDN'T THEY START THERE? 3. RER 730N UCONNECT RADIOS (AND POSSIBLY OTHERS) SUFFER FROM A BLUETOOTH DISCONNECT ISSUE WHICH CAN BE REMEDIED AS DESCRIBED/REPORTED BY ME TO UCONNECT CUSTOMER CARE IN CASE #27903984. THE ISSUE AT HAND IS THAT PHONES (MAINLY APPLE IPHONE'S USING ICLOUD SERVICES) ARE DISCONNECTED FROM THE RADIOS AND ARE SUBSEQUENTLY UNABLE TO RECONNECT. I HAVE REPORTED A POTENTIAL FIX TO THE ISSUE TO UCONNECT AND WAS ADVISED THAT THEY WILL NO LONGER OFFER SUPPORT FOR THE RADIO. THE RADIO IN MY MODEL YEAR VEHICLE IS ALSO AVAILABLE UP UNTIL 2013 CHRYSLER VEHICLES AND I FIND IT CONCERNING AND DISHEARTENING THAT CHRYSLER/FIAT/UCONNECT WILL NOT SUPPORT SUCH A RECENT GENERATION RADIO. THE ABILITY TO USE BLUETOOTH IS ESSENTIAL IN TODAYS SOCIETY AS MAKING AND RECEIVING PHONE CALLS AND TEXT MESSAGES HAS BECOME THE WAY OF LIFE. SHOULD DRIVERS BE UNABLE TO USE THEIR VEHICLE'S NATIVE BLUETOOTH HANDSFREE IT COULD LEAD TO POTENTIAL DANGERS AS DRIVERS WILL MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO MANUALLY ANSWER THEIR CALLS/TEXTS/ETC. I DO UNDERSTAND THAT OTHER BLUETOOTH OPTIONS EXISTS HOWEVER CHRYSLER/FIAT/UCONNECT FAILING TO SUPPORT THEIR RADIO WHICH WAS SOLD WITH THIS FEATURE IS UNACCEPTABLE AND POOR BUSINESS ETHICS. THE MOST RECENT SOFTWARE VERSION FOR MY VEHICLE IS RER_2.404 WHICH WAS SUPPLIED TO ME BY CHRYSLER WITH A PURCHASED MAP UPDATE FOR THE RADIO'S GPS NAVIGATION.
WHILE TRAVELLING ON A HIGHWAY (STRAIGHT AWAY) MY LEFT FRONT WHEEL BEARING LET GO CAUSING TIRE AND ROTOR TO DISCONNECT FROM VEHICLE CAUSING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL BEARING WAS IN VERY BAD SHAPE, NEEDING REPLACEMENT. VEHICLE HAS UNDER 65000 MILES ON IT. PREVIOUS BEARINGS ON DODGE RAM TRUCKS HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR SIMILAR ISSUES. THERE WAS NO PREVIOUS VIBRATION OR STEERING ISSUE UNTIL THE WHEEL CAME LOOSE.
WHEN TURNING ON TO THE HIGHWAY YOU CAN NOT SEE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE METAL PART OF THE CAB BETWEEN THE PASSENGER WINDOW AND THE REAR WINDOW CREATES A BLIND SPOT. I HAVE ALMOST PULLED IN FRONT OF A VEHICLE 3-4 OR MORE TIMES. VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING OR MAY HAVE BEEN MOVING 1 MPH. VEHICLE WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN OUT OF A PARKING LOT ONTO THE HIGHWAY. WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE TO WORK IN MORNING MY TRUCK HIT A BUMP IN HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH AND SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. I LOST STEERING AND BRAKES. WHILE COASTING I SHIFTED THE TRANSMISSION TO NEUTRAL AND RE-STARTED THE ENGINE AND WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE ISSUES AT DIFFERENT TIMES. THE MOST RECENT YESTERDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD 2015 WHILE TURNING ONTO MAIN AVENUE AS I WAS ACCELERATING THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AS I WAS TURNING IN ADVANCE OF AN ON-COMING VEHICLE. AGAIN, I WENT TO NEAUTRAL AND RE-IGNITED THE ENGINE. THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN. I DO NOT HAVE HEAVY KEYS.
DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH I HIT A FEW BUMPS CAUSING A WOBBLE IN FRONT END AND STEERING MAKING THE TRUCK ALMOST JUMP OUT OF ITS LANE. THIS CAUSED OTHER CARS TO SWERVE. NO ACCIDENT BUT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND DIAGNOSIS TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: (POWER TRAIN) AND THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO SUPPLY THE PART WITHIN A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
DRIVING HOME TODAY IN MY 2010 DODGE RAM 1500, HEARD A HUM WHEN I LET OFF ON THE GAS. AS I MADE A RIGHT TURN TO GET OFF THE ROAD, I HEARD A BUNCH OF RATTLING AND THE TRUCK STOPPED. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK MY DRIVE SHAFT WAS LAYING IN THE LANE NEXT TO ME. I LOOKED UNDER THE TRUCK AND FOUND THE TRANSFER CASE SNAPPED AND LAYING ON THE GROUND UNDER THE TRUCK. A COUPLE OF BYSTANDARD OFFERED TO HELP PUSH THE TRUCK OFF THE ROAD BUT WHEN IT WAS IN NUTRAL IT WOULDN'T MOVE. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK PUT IT UP ON THE FLAT BED THE REAR AXCEL WAS LOCKED UP AND THE TIRES WOULD NOT ROTATE.
WHILE EXITING OFF ROUTE 37, MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED THE LAST BEING AUGUST 1, 2015. I CHECKED THE BATTERY CABLES BOTH TIMES AND THEY ARE STILL TIGHT. I HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK TO START BACK UP.
ONE DAY ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE HEADLIGHTS WON'T COME ON. NEITHER WHEN TURNED ON OR IN AUTO. AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN STARTED WORKING AGAIN WITHOUT EVEN POPPING THE HOOD UP. A COUPLE DAYS LATER, DURING NIGHT TIME, I WENT TO SWITCH THE LOW BEAM TO HIGH BEAM AND PUFF, NO LIGHTS AT ALL WHILE DRIVING 40MPH IN A HILL COUNTRY SIDE IN A PITCH BLACK NIGHT. I SWITCHED BACK TO LOW BEAM AND NOTHING... SCARY TIMES... I'VE ENDED UP PULLING OVER THE SIDE (ONLY HALF OF THE TRUCK SINCE IT WAS ON THE HILL SIDE), TURN HAZARD BLINKERS ON ... AND BESIDES THE DANGEROUS OF THE SITUATION I WAS NOT GOING TO MOVE WITHOUT HAVING ANY TYPE OF ILLUMINATION. LESS THAN A MINUTE LATER, THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON BY IT SELF.... TALKING ABOUT ANNOYING AND SCARY TIMES. SINCE THEN, I HAVE CHANGED THE LIGHT BULBS TWICE, RECHECKED THE WIRES, USED THE BRUSH WIRE ON THE CONNECTORS AND THE ISSUE STILL HAPPENING. BUT SINCE THERE ARE NOT "FUSES" ANYMORE AND THE LIGHTS ARE CONTROLLED BY THE TIPM, I DON'T HAVE THE $1350 THE CHRYSLER DEALER WANTS FOR A NEW TIPM UNIT AND RE-PROGRAMMING IT. RIDICULOUS!! AND THE WORSE PART IS... THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE THE ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED. WHAT A 50 CENT FUSE COULD FIX NOW IT IS PART OF SOMETHING INTEGRATED THAT IS FAULTY AND RENDER THE WHOLE SYSTEM USELESS AT NIGHT TIME. THESE PAST 2 DAYS, THE HEADLIGHTS WON'T COME UP AT ALL, I CHECKED WITH A VOLTMETER AND THERE IS NO POWER COMING UP ON EITHER OF THE HEADLAMPS CONNECTORS (LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE).
EXHAUST STARTED LEAKING IN THE MORNING WHEN IT'S COLD, IT GOES AWAY AFTER WARMING UP, SOUNDS LIKE DONUT GASKET OR EXAUST MANIFOLD.ALSO THE PUDDLE LIGHTS IN THE MIRRORS QUIT WORKING.
