THE HORN AND THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS DO NOT WORK. THE HORN WILL WORK WHEN LOCKING MY VEHICLE WITH THE KEY FOB BUT NOT BY PRESSING THE HORN. THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL DO NOT WORK AT ALL.
AFTER I BOUGHT MY 2016 RAM 1500 IN FEBRUARY 2019 I NOTICED MY HORN AND THE EVIC ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING CAUSING ME NOT TO BE ABLE TO READ MY TPMS OR OIL LIFE OR ANY OTHER EVIC FUNCTIONS. ALSO WITH THE HORN NOT WORKING I FEEL IT'S A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS SAME ISSUE ON PREVIOUS YEAR MODELS. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE LIGHTS ON THE EVIC AND CRUISE CONTROL SWITCHES DON'T ILLUMINATE EITHER. BY GOOGLING THE ISSUE IT SEEMS THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER RAM 1500 OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I FEEL THESE ARE ALL MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.
TRUCK ROLLED AWAY WHILE IN DRIVEWAY WHILE IN PARK WITH E-BRAKE ON.
I OWN A 2016 RAM REBEL 1500 WITH THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION. AS YOU ARE PROBABLY AWARE, THERE ARE CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THIS SYSTEM. I START MY VEHICLE THIS MORNING AND UPON ENTERING VEHICLE, A MESSAGE POPPED UP STATING,' IMMEDIATE AIR SUSPENSION SERVICE/REPAIR REQUIRED.' THE FRONT END WAS IN 'ENTRY/EXIT' MODE AND THE REAR WAS IN 'NORMAL' MODE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, I FOUND A BLOWN 40 AMP GREEN FUSE THAT IS FOR THE AIR SUSPENSION. I REPLACED THE FUSE MYSELF DUE TO CONVENIENCE ISSUES AND NOTED IN MY CAR FAX OF REPAIR. THIS AND MANY OTHER ISSUES WITH THIS SYSTEM HAVE ERUPTED AND IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
2016 RAM 1500 WITH FACTORY AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM FAILS WHEN TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING. IT FAIL WHILE IN MOTION OR WHILE STATIONARY. THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM DROPS TO THE BUMP STOPS AND WILL NOT PROPERLY INFLATE TO A SAFE RIDE HEIGHT. ONCE THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WARMS TO ABOVE FREEZING, THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM RETURNS TO NORMAL OPERATION.
PICKUP'S AIR SUSPENSION FAILS TO WORK IN EXTREME COLD. IN JANUARY OF 2018 IT WAS BROUGHT IN TO DEALER AS COMPRESSOR HAD GONE OUT. IT WAS REPLACED BUT WAS DELAYED DUE TO BACK ORDER OF THE PART SO DIDN'T GET PICKUP BACK UNTIL MARCH. BEGINNING IN JANUARY OF 2019 WHEN TEMPERATURES WERE SUB ZERO THE PICKUP'S AIR SUSPENSION WOULD FAIL TO INFLATE FULLY (OR AT ALL) RESULTING IN HAVING TO DRIVE WITH LITTLE TO NO SUSPENSION. ONCE TEMPERATURES WARMED UP TO OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE 0 DEGREES, THE AIR SUSPENSION WOULD WORK. ON FEB 8TH, PICKUP WAS BROUGHT TO GET AN OIL CHANGE AT DEALERSHIP. AFTER LEAVING DEALERSHIP STOPPED AT A STORE. WHEN I GOT BACK IN THE AIR SUSPENSION APPEARED TO BE ACTING AS IT DID WHEN WEATHER WAS EXTREMELY COLD, TO WHICH I BELIEVED IT WOULD PUMP BACK UP HOWEVER, INSTEAD WARNING CAME ON SCREEN INDICATING "IMMEDIATE AIR SUSPENSION SERVICE / REPAIR NEEDED". I DROVE IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY INDICATED THIS WAS LIKELY DUE TO COLD AND WAS COMMON WITH OTHERS OF THIS MODEL. SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD TO DRIVE CAREFULLY HOME. SINCE THEN TOOK TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP AND THEY FOUND AN AIR BAG IS TORN. THEY CAN'T DETERMINE WITHOUT FIXING IT IF THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, OR WAS CAUSED BY THE PROBLEM (DID THE AIR BAG TEAR BECAUSE SUSPENSION WENT OUT OR DID THE AIR BAG GO OUT CAUSING THE SUSPENSION TO FAIL). COST WAS AROUND $600 TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG. HAVE DONE CHECKING AND APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. THE SAFETY ISSUE WOULD BE HAVING PEOPLE DRIVING VEHICLES WITHOUT SUSPENSION IN COLD WEATHER.
VEHICLE COMPLETELY DIED IN THE INTERSECTION RIGHT AFTER TAKING OFF FROM THE STOPLIGHT. COULD NOT REMOVE KEY AND IT WILL NOT SHIFT INTO PARK. *BF*JB *DT*JB *DT THE CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, A LOOSE BATTERY TERMINAL WAS THE PROBLEM. *TR
OUR TRUCK WAS IN PARK WITH THE BRAKE ON ON OUR DRIVEWAY WHICH IS A HILL AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS T2 DIFFERENT TIMES WITHOUT ANYBODY IN IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE LOCAL DEALER LARRY H. MILLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LARRY H. MILLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM BOISE 222 S AUTO DR, BOISE, ID 83709 BOISE, ID BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO STEVENS CREEK DODGE RAM 4100 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SAN JOSE, CA 95129, WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V757000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 68,000.
WHEN STARTING MY VEHICLE I NOTICED A TICKING SOUND. AFTER IDLING A COUPLE MINUTES THE TICKING WOULD GET QUIETER. RECENTLY I CAN STILL HEAR THE TICKING WHILE DRIVING. I'VE HEARD IT COULD BE THE MANIFOLD BOLTS GETTING SHEERED OFF OR IT CAN BE THE PURGE SOLENOID. TO ME IT SOUNDS LIKE A LIFTER TICKING.
DURING COLD WEATHER (BELOW 0) THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION DOES NOT WORK. IT FREEZES UP AND CREATES A DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITION ON ROUGH OR UNEVEN ROADS. THE VEHICLE BOUNCES AND LOOSES TRACTION TO THE ROAD AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT TO OCCUR.
WHEN ROLLING DOWN SIDE WINDOWS DURING COLD WEATHER, WINDOW COME OFF/OUT OF TRACK. THE WINDOW MAY STAY IN PLACE UNTIL HOURS LATER. AT SOME POINT, IT WILL FALL DOWN UNTIL IT HITS SOMETHING OR WILL FALL INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING, OR PARKED. THE FIRST TIME, THE WINDOW WENT OFF TRACK WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE WINDOW STAYED UP FOR AN ADDITIONAL 10 MINUTES THEN FELL INTO THE DOOR WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE 2-3 OCCURANCES, THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE, BUT STOPPED WHEN IT CAME OFF TRACK. THE WINDOW STAYED IN PLACE UNTIL HOURS LATER WHILE PARKED IN A PUBLIC PLACE. ALL CONTENTS OF THE VEHICLE WERE UNSECURED AND IN PUBLIC DUE TO THE WINDOW DEFECT. OCCURANCE 4 HAPPENED WHILE IN DRIVE BUT STOPPED. WINDOW FELL AFTER EXITING AND CLOSING THE DOOR.
SUSPENSION AIRBAG SYSTEM COLLAPSED UNDER -15 TEMPS. THE TRUCK STARTED AND IT EVENTUALLY CAME BACK UP TO NORMAL RIDE HEIGHT. VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT OUTSIDE
28 DEGREES F THIS MORNING. I STARTED TRUCK AND LET IT WARM UP FOR 5 MIN. DISENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE, PUT IT IN DRIVE. AS I STARTED TO MOVE (3) ERROR MESSAGES CAME UP ON DASH: SERVICE SHIFTER, SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE THROTTLE CONTROL. I STOPPED TRUCK, TURNED IT OFF AND THEN STARTED IT AGAIN. NO ERROR CODES; ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ON. I DROVE TO WORK 2.5 MILES AWAY. I HAD TO STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF. DASH BOARD WAS FLICKERING. I PUT TRUCK IN PARK, TURNED KEY OFF AND THEN TRIED TO RESTART TRUCK. NOTHING, LIGHTS STILL FLICKERING ON DASH. I TRIED TO PUT ON HAZARD LIGHTS BUT NO POWER TO THEM. I TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO RESTART TRUCK BUT TO NO AVAIL. AT SOME POINT IT WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME TURN THE KEY TO OFF. IT WAS STUCK IN THE "ACCESSORY" POSITION. I DID CATCH AN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD THAT SAID "NO BUS". IF I WAS MOVING WHEN TRUCK SHUT DOWN I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT; NO POWER BRAKES OR STEERING. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES SITTING AT TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS STOPPED FLICKERING AND THE TRUCK APPEARED TO RESET ITSELF. AT THIS POINT I WAS ABLE TO START THE TRUCK AND GET TO WORK. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN FOUR TIMES FOR "SERVICE SHIFTER" ERROR. ON THREE OF THE VISITS THE DEALER LOADED NEW SOFTWARE INTO THE TRUCK TO ADDRESS THIS AND A FEW RECALLS. THE LAST VISIT (3) WEEKS AGO THE SOFTWARE WAS CHANGED SO IF THE TRUCK IS NOT IN PARK, THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS OPEN, TRUCK IS IN GEAR, AND THE DRIVER'S FOOT IS NOT PRESSING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE COMPUTER WILL PUT TRUCK IN PARK THEY ALSO REPLACED THE ROTARY SHIFTER SWITCH. SINCE THAT TIME THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE SHIFTER AND SERVICE THROTTLE CONTROL ERROR STARTED AND HAS APPEARED THREE TIMES. 2016 RAM EXPRESS 1500 WAS BOUGHT NEW IN JULY 2017 AND HAS 15,400 MILES ON IT. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THIS VEHICLE AS IT WILL LEAVE ME STRANDED AT SOME POINT.
AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. TRAVELING ON CITY STREET GOING STRAIGHT AUTO FROM LEFT HIT ME MAKING LEFT HAND TURN. STUCK FRONT LEFT BUMPER I WAS GOING ABOUT 32 MPH. NO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT.
AIR SUSPENSION HAS NEVER WORKED PROPERLY DURING WINTER MONTHS. HAD COMPRESSOR REPLACED IN 2-2018. IN THE LAST YEAR I HAVE EXPERIENCED A MINIMUM OF 12 INSTANCES WHERE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ADJUST RIDE HEIGHT WHICH I HAVE PHOTOS OF. WHEN I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE NO ONE TOLD ME IT WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY DURING THE COLD MONTHS. MOST RECENTLY I WAS IN TO HAVE THE AUTO PARK RECALL TAKEN CARE OF. SINCE THIS UPDATE MY TRUCK IS TOTAL CRAP. I HAVE LOST 3MPG IN FUEL MILEAGE, THE TRUCKSS SHIFT PATTERN AND RUNNING RPM'S HAVE CHANGED AND IT DRIVES LIKE I'M TOWING SOMETHING. WHEN I RETURNED TO THE DEALER I WAS TOLD TO GET AND AFTER MARKET PROGRAMMER TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. REALLY! SO WHEN I GO IN THE NEXT TIME THEY CAN VOID MY WARRANTY. MY TRUCK RAN LIKE A BEAST BEFORE THE UPDATE AND AVERAGED 18.5 MPG, TODAY I AM AVERAGING 14.7 ON THE SAME EXACT TRIP. SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG WITH THIS PROGRAM.

UNRESOLVED ISSUE BY RAM REGARDING THEIR AIR RIDE SUSPENSION WHERE THE KNOWN ISSUE HAS NOT YET BEEN RESOLVED, NOR HAS THE MANUFACTURER MADE AN ATTEMPT RECALL ANY PARTS RELATED. MY TRUCK UNDER WARRANTY IN JANUARY 2018 HAD A CONTROLLER AND AIR PUMP REPLACED DUE TO AIR RIDE DROPPING TO FRAME WHEN TEMPERATURES DROPPED BELOW 20 DEGREES. THE SYSTEM CORRECTED ITSELF AFTER TEMPS WARMED BUT THEN AGAIN THIS JANUARY (NOT UNDER WARRANTY) THE SAME ISSUES. THE DEALERSHIP TALKED TO RAM AND THEY REFUSE TO LOOK INTO ISSUE. THOUSANDS OF RAM OWNERS WITH AIR SUSPENSION ARE HAVING SAME ISSUES. THE TRUCKS BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE AND ONE CANNOT KNOW WHEN IT WILL JUST DECIDE TO DEFAULT, THUS MAKING TRAVEL UNCERTAIN AND UNSAFE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM. MOST TIMES THE AIR RIDE SYSTEM GOES FLAT IN SITTING POSITION IN COLD TEMPS BUT IT HAS BEEN KNOW TO GO FLAT WHILE DRIVING. AT WHICH, THE TRUCK MAINTAINS LITERALLY NO CONTROL AS IT BOUNCES ALL OVER AND STEERING BECOME SLOPPY. THIS IS UNSAFE.
THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM HAPPENED EARLIER IN JANUARY OF 2019. I OPENED MY VEHICLE AND UPON STARTING IT, I BEGAN TO PUT MY SEAT BELT ON I NOTICED THE TENSION ON THE BELT WAS NON EXISTENT. IN FACT I HAD TO "HELP" THE BELT BACK DOWN INTO THE PULLEY. IT HAS NOT WORKED SINCE. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON ON MY DASH. I HAVE RECEIVED MULTIPLE FACTORY RECALL POSTCARDS IN THE MAIL AT MY NEW HOUSE LISTING MY VIN/VEHICLE AS WELL AS ISSUES WITH THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG SYSTEM. UPON RECEIVING THESE POSTCARDS, I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AS IT STATED ON THE CARD AND CALLED TWO LOCAL RAM SERVICE CENTERS: BRUNSWICK AUTO MART 3031 CENTER RD, BRUNSWICK, OH 44212 (330) 460-0721 (AUTHORIZED RAM SERVICE CENTER) AND SPITZER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM CLEVELAND 13001 BROOKPARK RD, BROOK PARK, OH 44142 (216) 267-2100. THE BRUNSWICK SERVICE CENTER REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE RECALLS AS THEY PERTAIN TO MY VEHICLE AND TOLD ME THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED. THE BROOK PARK SERVICE CENTER TOLD ME THAT MY VIN WAS NOT COMING UP IN THEIR SYSTEM. I STILL RECEIVE THE VEHICLE RECALL POSTCARDS FROM FIAT-CHRYSLER-DODGE-RAM HOWEVER MY LOCAL SERVICE CENTERS REFUSE TO FIX THE ISSUES BECAUSE I DIDNT PURCHASE FROM THEM. I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE OUT OF STATE. I HAVE ALSO HAS PROBLEMS WITH MY TURN SIGNAL LAMP CONSISTENTLY GOING OUT. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 15,000 MILES ON IT. IT NOW HAS A LITTLE OVER 30,000 MILES.
WHEN THE ENGINE IS SHUT OFF AND THE KEY REMOVED THE IGNITION PORTION OF THE SWITCH DOES NOT COME OUT AND REMAINS IN THE LOWER POSITION IN THE SWITCH. THE KEY CAN BE USED TO GET THE SWITCH TO THE POSITION TO START THE TRUCK.THIS SITUATION DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL OF THE TIME. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM..
MY SON HAD A 2016 RAM 1500 AND WAS IN A HEAD ON COLLISION DRIVING APPROX 40 MPH. THANKFULLY HE WAS OKAY. I SAW THE REPORT THIS EVENING ABOUT NEW AIR BAG RECALLS AND WANT YOU TO KNOW HIS AIRBAGS DID NOT INFLATE WHEN HE CRASHED. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WERE SHOCKED. I QUESTIONED STATE FARM, THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE AND THE STATE FARM BODY SHOP. MY QUESTION TO ALL OF THEM WAS WHO WOULD BRING THIS ISSUE TO THE PROPER GOV'T AUTHORITIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED SO I NO LONGER HAVE THE VIN. I AM SURE WE CAN GET THE VIN FROM STATE FARM. THE ACCIDENT WAS ONLY A FEW MONTHS AGO, SO I AM SURE YOU CAN STILL GET YOUR HANDS ON THE VEHICLE. THE DATE BELOW IS AN ESTIMATE.
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INOPERABLE. CAN NOT GAUGE PROPER LEVELS OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE.
WHILE EXECUTING A LEFT HAND TURN POWER STEERING CUT OUT COMPLETELY. NO POWER ASSIST AT ALL FOR ABOUT A SEC OR SO. HALF WAYS THROUGH THE TURN THE POWER STEERING RESTORED ITSELF. IT HAPPENED A SECOND TIME WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WHILE EXECUTING A RIGHT HAND TURN. SAME TIME PERIOD FOR CUT OUT AND RESTORED ITSELF HALF WAYS THROUGH THE TURN. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION DURING BOTH EVENTS IN CITY TRAFFIC AND RESULTED IN MOMENTARY LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
ATTEMPTED TO ROLL DOWN DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW IN MY 2016 RAM 1500 CREW CAB SPORT. THE WINDOW DIDN'T MOVE BUT MADE A SOUND LIKE IT WAS FROZEN. I LEFT THE HEAT ON HIGH WHILE DRIVEN IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEFROST THE WINDOW. % MINUTES LATER THE WINDOW SUDDENLY DROPPED HALF WAY DOWN INTO THE DOOR AND WOULD NOT GO COMPLETELY BACK UP. I ALMOST WRECKED THE TRUCK AS IT SCARED ME AND WAS VERY LOUD. I HAD TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE REATTACH THE WINDOW TO THE CHEAP PLASTIC CLIPS THAT IT SEPERATED FROM. UPON FURTHER REVIEW ON GOOGLE, IT'S NOTICED THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. RAM NEEDS TO DO A RECALL ON THIS AND FIX THE CHEAP PLASTIC CLIPS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY INJUSRED OR CAUSES A FATALITY THROUGH A BAD WRECK.

THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED IN 2018 UNDER AN UNKNOWN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER TO PREVENT THE FAILURE FROM OCCURRING. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER MOUNTAIN VIEW DODGE (7154 NASHVILLE ST. RINGO GA) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
The tailgate on my 2016 Dodge Ram will not stay locked and falls open during cold weather. I've contacted the dealer but they said this particular vin is not included in a recall. I've accessed the inside panel on the tailgate several times to clean and lubricate, but it only works for a short time. It's been a continuous problem for the last 5 to 6 years...only when it is cold.
AFTER PUTTING TRUCK INTO REVERSE THEN PUTTING IN BACK INTO FORWARD GEAR THE TRUCK WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE FACT IT IS SUPPOSE TO GO FORWARD. NOT IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US TWICE. I HAVE FOUND OUT YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY TURN THE TRUCK OFF AND THEN RESTART. I GET THE SAME ANSWER THAT CHRYSLER WILL ONLY ALOW THEM TO GET A CERTIAN NUMBER OF PARTS TO DO THESE REPAIRS. THEY CAN PUT ME ON A LIST TO GET THEM REPAIRED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THERE IS A RECALL IT SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY NOT WHEN THEY GET AROUND TO IT. TWO YEARS IS NOT GETTING IT REPAIRED IN A TIMELY MANNER!

I AM A 2016 RAM 1500 CREW CAB. IF I USE THE VST GAS NOZZLES THEY GET STUCK IN THE FILLER NECK. IT TAKES ABOUT 10-15 MINS TO GET IT UNSTUCK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT AN INVESTIGATION WOULD HAVE TO TAKE PLACE, BUT THE CONTACT REFUSED THE REQUEST. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,900.

FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT HIGH VOLTAGE FAILURE IS THE EVENTUAL MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD. IT THROWS ONE OFF WHEN THAT HAPPENS, TOOK ME A MINUTE TO REALIZE THAT I DIDN'T IN FACT HAVE A FUEL LEAK AND DID IN FACT HAVE PLENTY OF GAS.

My 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 5.7 Liter HEMI engine has an engine ticking sound that is most noticeable when the truck is first started when the engine is cold. The ticking sounds does start to go away after one to three minutes, when the engine temperature increases. The ticking noise happens both in the winter and summer when the engine is cold. This engine noise first became noticeable when the truck was two years old with approximately 30,000 miles. I purchased the RAM 1500 Laramie new on October 5, 2016. I am a former Nissan service technician. I am acutely aware of the importance of changing engine oil and oil filter at the manufacturer recommended intervals. I am VERY diligent about changing the engine oil and oil filter every 5000 miles with Mobil One synthetic or Pennzoil Platinum synthetic 5W-20 oil. As of May 20, 2022, my RAM 1500 Laramie has 76,040 miles. Other RAM 1500 5.7-Liter HEMI engine owners have reporting a ticking sound when the exhaust manifold bolts break. I inspected the exhaust manifold bolts on May 20, 2022, and they are not broken.

ONCE THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTING WAS COMPLETE, THE FUEL SENSOR FAIL MESSAGE APPEARED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, THE LOW FUEL WARNING AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BOTH ILLUMINATED. THE FUEL (GAS) TANK WAS ABOUT 3/4 FULL WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE HAD 60,054 MILES ON IT.
