MY WIFE DROVE THE TRUCK HOME ON A SATURDAY WITH NO ISSUE. I WARMED THE TRUCK WITH THE REMOTE START THE FOLLOWING MONDAY AND WHEN I ENTERED AND STARTED IT TO DRIVE, WAS UNABLE TO. THE INFOTAINMENT CENTER INFORMED ME THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS INOPERABLE. SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED WITH THE SAME RESULT. 1 YEAR OLD AND 8,000 MILES AND CANNOT DRIVE IT! HAVE TO WAIT A WEEK TO GET IT IN TO LOCAL DEALER FOR A LOOK AND NOT SURE IT CAN BE DRIVEN. MAY NEED TO BE TOWED IN!. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME.*DT *TR
MULTIPLE INSTANCES, WHEN USING CRUISE CONTROL SWITCHES BECOMES INACTIVE, WILL NOT POWER ON AND SOMETIMES WILL NOT CANCEL SETTING FORCING ME TO TAP THE BRAKES TO DISENGAGE. ON ONE OCCASION WHEN USING THE SET BUTTON IT REVERTED BACK TO A PREVIOUS HIGHER SPEED AND STARTED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION, I WAS ABLE TO CANCEL BY TAPPING THE BRAKES.
VEHICLE IS LEAKING WATER THROUGH MY BACK WINDOW SEAL, CAB BRAKE LIGHT AND IT HAS DESTROYED MY HEADLINER. WHEN IT RAINS OR WAKING MY TRUCK IT LEAKS EVERY TIME WHEN STATIONARY OR MOVING.
ON 11/20/20 MY RAM TRUCK WAS HIT ON THE RIGHT FRONT CORNER AND TOTALED. WE WERE AT A STOP LIGHT AND JUST STARTED TO COMPLETE A LEFT HAND TURN ON A CITY STREET WHEN THE OTHER DRIVER RAN A RED LIGHT, HE WAS ISSUED A CITATION FOR RUNNING A RED LIGHT, AND WAS "PROBABLY" SPEEDING. WE WERE IN A 35MPH ZONE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THIS IS PART OF THEIR CONCLUSION. "THE CONCLUSION OF THE INVESTIGATION IS THAT THE RATE OF DECELERATION NECESSARY TO ACTIVATE THE AIR BAG SYSTEM WAS NOT PRESENT DURING THIS ACCIDENT. MY 2019 RAM FUEL FILLER NECK CAUSES ANY GAS PUMP NOZZLE I USE TO BECOME STUCK AND MAKES REFUELING TAKE MUCH LONGER THAN IT SHOULD. THE GAS PUMP NOZZLE CONTINUOUSLY TURNS OFF NOT ALLOWING ME TO FILL MY GAS TANK. THE FILLER NECK?S DESIGN SEEMS TO TRIGGER THE GAS PUMPS? AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF WHEN THE TANK ISN?T FULL YET. SOMETIMES THE PUMP SHUTS OFF EVERY FEW SECONDS, FORCING ME TO FILL MY TRUCKS? TANK OUNCES AT A TIME.
STEERING- POPPING/ GRINDING NOISE WHEN TURNING TO THE RIGHT. SLOW TURNS IN TOWN AND TURNS ON HIGHWAY RAMPS. HAVE TAKEN TRUCK TO DEALERSHIP WITH NO RESOLUTION TWICE. ELECTRICAL- BACKUP CAMERA STAYS ON AFTER PUTTING VEHICLE IN DRIVE. COMPUTER-RADIO-PHONE RESETS ITSELF EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS SINCE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH NO FIX.
TODAY 11-19-2020 DODGE RAM 1500 VIN#[XXX] IS THE 5TH TIME THAT SHIFTS ON TO NEUTRAL WHEN ON DRIVE POSITION. TOOK IT BACK TO DEMONTROND CHRYSLER/DODGE IN CONROE TEXAS WHERE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK DEALER KEPT THE TRUCK FOR 2 DAYS TO FIND THE PROBLEM [XXX] DIDN'T FIND ANY CODES OR ISSUES THEY RELEASED THE TRUCK BACK TO ME. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE ABOUT THIS TRUCK AFTER TODAY 11.19.2020 WITH MY WIFE AFTER PICKING UP KIDS FROM SCHOOL ALMOST GOT HIT AT INTERSECTION WHEN TRUCK SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500 EQUIPPED WITH THE GOODYEAR TIRES, TIRE LINE: WRANGLER SR-A: TIRE SIZE: P275/60/R20, DOT NUMBER: M6YNID1R3819. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS NEPHEW WAS DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE EXPLODED. THE CONTACT PULLED OFF OF THE ROADWAY AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO STEVENS CREEK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (4100 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SAN JOSE, CA 95129, (408) 809-3886. THE DEALER ORDERED A REPLACEMENT TIRE AND THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP AND WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OFF OF THE ROADWAY AND TOWED BACK TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE TIRE WAS NOT YET REPLACED. NEITHER THE TIRE NOR THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,500.
REAR WINDOW PLASTIC CRACKED/LEAKING WHEN RAINING OR GOING THROUGH A CAR WASH. DEALER FIXED 3RD BRAKE LIGHT AND RESEALED ANTENNA BUT WINDOW STILL LEAKING HEADLINER AND SEATS GET SOAKING WET I HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS HAPPENING BUT IT WON'T LET ME UPLOAD IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WAS LEAKING WATER INTO THE HEADLINER AND ALSO NEARBY THE AIR BAG SYMBOL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LESTER GLENN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (1199 NJ-37 W, TOMS RIVER, NJ 08755) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH THE REAR WINDOW. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED A CASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,800.
THIRD BRAKE LIGHT REAR WINDOW LEAK AND PLASTIC BLACK TRIM IS CRACKED ON BOTH SIDES. CAUSING WATER DAMAGE TO THE BACKSIDE OF MY SEATS AND I DON'T WANT ANY ELECTRICAL TO GET SHORTED OUT BY THE WATER DAMAGE. IT'S BEEN DECLINED FOR WARRANTY REPAIR AT PLYMOUTH DODGE DEALERSHIP. HAVE MANY OTHER FRIENDS WITH THE SAME ISSUES AND HAD HIM WARRANTEE FIXED BY DEALER.
2019 RAM 1500 BIGHORN STOPPED AT STOP SIGN AND THEN TRUCK WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, THE "D" LIGHT ON SHIFTER KNOB WAS BLINKING AND DASH MESSAGE SAID TO PUT THE SHIFTER INTO DRIVE. I PUT THE SHIFTER INTO PARK AND ROLLED BACK TO DRIVE AND THE TRUCK WAS NORMAL.
When turning left at speeds over 40 mph the steering sticks or loses power assist when coming out of the turn. Turning to the right is unaffected and works normally. Been to the dealer with this complaint twice, each time they said there was no fault code and they could not find a problem. Driving at highway speeds in traffic can be very scary, anyone that drives this truck and is not aware of this steering issue could result in a wreck.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SEVERAL TIMES. I'VE DROPPED MY TRUCK OFF AT CROWN DODGE OF FAYETTEVILLE AND WAS TOLD ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS THAT'S EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF. TODAY 1 NOVEMBER 2020, I'VE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW $200 DURALAST PLATINUM BATTERY AND IT'S STILL BEING DRAINED BY SOME UNKNOWN ISSUE. I RECEIVED SOME HELP OUTSIDE OF THE DEALERSHIP AND RECEIVED THE ERROR CODE P1DR3. I TOLD TOLD THAT WAS A DEALERSHIP CODE AND I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE TO GET IT RESOLVED. THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME IN A MONTHS TIME I WOULD HAVE TO BE WITHOUT MY VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME THIS IS HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING 40-45 MPH AND THE TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT OFF!
CARS STEERING STICKS TO THE LEFT WHEN TURNING LEFT. ALSO, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ACTS UP AT TIMES. MIRRORS START TO TINT, HAZARDS GO ON AND CAN'T TURN OFF, HORN BEEPS RANDOMLY, AND SIDE VEHICLE ALERT COMES ON WHEN NO VEHICLE IS THERE.
REAR WINDOW SEAL HAS CRACKS. REAR WINDOW/3RD BRAKE LIGHT LEAKS WATER INTO THE CAB. MIRRORS FOLD BUT WHEN UNFOLDING THEY POP AND KEEP TRYING TO OPEN EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ALL THE WAY OUT ALREADY. THESE ALL HAPPENED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

THE CONTACT TOOK HIS VEHICLE TO HARRY BROWN'S CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM(1747 GRANT ST NW, FARIBAULT, MN 55021) FOR A ROUTINE MAINTENANCE CHECK AND UNBENOUNCED TO HIM HIS VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V513000(VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE HOLES IN THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR MAT. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND REFERRED HIM THE THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WAS THE REMEDY TO THE RECALL WAS APPROVED BY THE NHTSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REMEDY EXPOSED THE FLOOR MATS TO OUTSIDE ELEMENTS WHICH CAN CAUSE THE MATS TO BECOME EASILY STAINED. THE CONTACT HAD YET TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE.
THIS MORNING 10/23/20 AT 0530 I WAS DRIVING OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY WHICH IS 128 FEET LONG. MAKING A RIGHT TURN ON TO THE STREET AND MY POWER STEERING LOCKED UP. CODE ON THE DASH SAYS "POWER STEERING SERVICE DUE SOON". I COULD NOT TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. I HAD TO MUSCLE THE STEERING AND REVERSE THE TRUCK BACK TO MY HOUSE. MY 2019 RAM HAS AROUND 14,000 MILES. I'M SURE GLAD I WAS NOT ON A SIDE STREET OR THE FREEWAY. IT COULD OF BEEN A BAD SITUATION.
I PURCHASED A 2019 RAM 1500 IN JUNE OF 2019. IN OCTOBER OF 2020 I GOT INTO THE TRUCK AS I HAVE DONE FOR OVER A YEAR AND STARTED IT UP. AS I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND BEGIN TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THE TRUCK WOULD AUTO-SHIFT INTO PARK AND CUT THE ENGINE OFF. THIS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN AS I KEPT TRYING TO PUT THE TRUCK IN DRIVE AND GO INTO MOTION. IT EVEN DID IT WHILE TRYING TO PUT IT IN REVERSE. I LMADE SURE ALL DOORS WERE SHUT, SEAT BELT ON, NO E-BRAKE AND NOTHING WAS LIT UP ON DASH. THE TRUCK SIMPLY WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO DRIVE AND IT WAS NOT USER ERROR. I HAD RAM ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE TOW THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL CERTIFIED DEALER WITH RAM TECHNICIANS. THIS WAS ON 10/16/20 AND THE TRUCK WAS IN THE CARE OF THE RAM DEALER UNTIL 10/19/20. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE ISSUE I EXPERIENCED. I THEN TOOK BACK POSSESSION OF THE TRUCK. ON 11/12/2020 I DROVE ABOUT A MILE FROM MY RESIDENCE PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK WHILE RUNNING INTO A STORE. I DROVE THE TRUCK ABOUT 900 FEET AND THE TRUCK AUTO SHIFTED TO PARK WHILE I WAS AT SPEEDS OF 30MPH. THE ENIGINE CUT OFF AND THE TRUCK HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON AS IF I WOULD IF THE TRUCK WAS STOPPED. I PULLED OVER AND BEGAN DRIVING AGAIN FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET. AGAIN THE TRUCK SHIFTED TO PARK ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING SPEEDS OF 30MPH. THIS HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES BEFORE BEING ABLE TO RETURN TO MY RESIDENCE AND CALL FOR A TOW. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER AND IN THEIR NOTES. THE TOW DRIVER EXPERIENCED THE TRUCK TURNING OFF ON HIM WHILE TRYING TO BACK IT OFF THE TRUCK. THE DEALER HAD THE TRUCK FOR SEVERAL DAYS BUT TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE WHICH HAS NOW BEEN EXPERIENCED BY ME AND THE TOW DRIVER. AGAIN I GO BACK AND TAKE POSSESSION OF THE TRUCK WHICH IS NOW MORE CONCERNING BECAUSE IT IS HAPPENING WHILE DRIVING AND THEY CAN'T FIX IT.
REAR WINDOW HAS BEGAN TO CRACK FROM THE INSIDE AND A LOT OF WATER COMES IN TO THE REAR. MY SEATS GET WET AND ALSO THE CARPET OF THE TRUCK. STARTING TO SMELL AND MIGHT HAVE MOLD. THE HEADLINER ALSO GETS WATER. MY CONCERN IS THAT IT MAY BUILD UP MOLD THROUGHOUT TIME. FCA IS UNWILLING TO REPLACE THE WINDOW OUTSIDE OF THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE FOR THE 5TH GENERATION RAM AND THERE ARE MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE COME ACROSS THIS ISSUE. THEY HAVE ALSO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS AND HAVE SENT OUT A LETTER TO THEIR SERVICE TEAMS (SEE PICTURE). THE WATER CAN COME IN WHEN LEFT OUTSIDE DURING A RAIN STORM OR SIMPLY GOING THRU THE CAR WASH. ANY WATER THAT HITS THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK AND GOES TO THE BACK WILL EVENTUALLY MAKE IT THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW CRACK AND INSIDE THE TRUCK.
WHILE DRIVING MULTIPLE DASHBOARD WARNINGS APPEARED AND THE POWER STEERING ABRUPTLY FAILED. BROUGHT INTO DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. I WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THE PROBLEMS WERE CORRECTED, THESE ISSUES WERE APPARENTLY CASED BY BAD GROUND CONNECTIONS, AS PER DEALER. FOUR DAYS LATER I AGAIN HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS.
I HAVE AN OPEN RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER, BOULDER RAM, AND THEY REFUSED TO SERVICE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I DID NOT PURCHASE IT FROM THEM. SHOULDN'T ANY AUTHORIZED DEALER BE REQUIRED TO REPAIR A VEHICLE WITH AN OPEN RECALL? I HAVE A CALL INTO FCA BUT THEY HAVE YET TO RESPOND.
THE CAR IS OFF AND THE RADIO TURNS ON BY ITSELF. WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION THE AIRCONDITIONER WORKS OCCASIONALLY (NOT VERY OFTEN) AND WHEN THE AC GOES OUT THE POWER WINDOWS GO OUT AS WELL. THE WARNING SENSORS ON SIDE DO NOT WORK EITHER.
LOST POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING TWICE. FIRST TIME WAS 9/11/2020 DEALER SAID A TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. HAPPENED AGAIN JUST TODAY 9/27/2020. HAPPENED WHILE WE WERE ON THE HIGHWAY.
TRUCK AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UNDER A SIDE IMPACT BY AN OTHER PICK UP TRUCK. THIS HAPPEN WHEN MAKING A COMPLETE STOP INDICATED BY A STOP SIGN IN THE CITY STREET. THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE WAITING FOR TRAFIC TO CLEAR TO PROCEED CROSSING THE STREET. WHEN AN ACCIDENT HAPPEN JUST IN FRONT, AND ONE OF THE CARS INVOLVED CRASH ON MY TRUCK. THE IMPACT MOVE THE TRUCK TOWARD THE SIDE WALK AND STOPING AT THE CURB.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO VIEW THE TIRE PRESSURE, THE OIL PRESSURE, THE COOLING TEMPERATURE INFORMATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE INSPECTED. THE MECHANIC INSPECTED SOME UNKNOWN WIRES, CLEANED THE WIRES BUT, WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,900. *DT *TR
POWER STEERING SEEMS TO LOSE POWER CAUSING DIFFICULTY IN STEERING ESPECIALLY IN PARKING LOTS AND SLOW TURNS.
VEHICLE FAILS TO START WITHOUT ANY NOTICE OR APPARENT INDICATIONS OF A POTENTIAL ISSUE.I HAD SOMEONE USE A CODE READER AND GOT THE FOLLOWING CODE P1DF3... I CHECKED RAM FORUMS AND THIS IS A COMMON MALFUNCTION. WITHOUT WARNING SOMETHING DRAINS THE BATTERY. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL FIX IT YET.
ALIGNMENT IS OFF AND I ONLY HAVE 22,000 MILES ON VEHICLE AND IT'S WORN ONLY THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF TIRES ALIGNMENT IS OFF NEARLY 1.5-2 INCHES

When turning left, the steering locks slightly. Overcome with slightly more pressure. It is scary when it happens. It's done it since I drove it off the lot with 28,000 miles. When loaning truck, I let the driver know about this issue. Went to dealer 3 times, unable to reproduce. The vehicle or component has only been inspected by the dealer. No warnings given by vehicle.
WHILE BACKING UP TO A TRAILER TO HITCH TO IT I WAS USING THE REVERSE CAMERA IN THE STEREO AND I HEARD A POP AND THE STEREO SHUT OFF ALONG WITH THE SCREEN FOR THE CAMERA. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS STEREO. I JUST HAD THE STEREO REPLACED IN APRIL FOR THE SAME ISSUE AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A PROGRAMMING ISSUE WITH THE SYSTEM. WILL BE CONTACTING THE DEALER TO HAVE THIS STEREO CHECKED OUT AGAIN.
AFTER A 350 MILE TRIP I PARKED THE TRUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY THE NEXT DAY IT WAS DEAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 SEPARATE TIMES. THE DEALER HAS HAD IT FOR TWO WEEKS THIS TIME, 5 DAYS THE FIRST TIME AND 5 DAYS THE SECOND TIME. RAM IS DOING NOTHING TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. PLEASE HELP.
2019 RAM CLASSIC BIG HORN. IT'S BEEN QUITE A JOURNEY WITH THIS TRUCK. FIRST, ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT (FEB 19) I NOTICED THE BED WAS A COUPLE OF INCHES TO THE LEFT OF THE CAB. TURNS OUT, IT WAS THE CAB NEEDING ADJUSTMENT NOT THE BED. DROVE IT FOR A YEAR FINE. 2 MONTHS AGO I ATTEMPTED TO START AND IT WAS DEAD. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD WORK BUT IT WOULD NOT START'NOT EVEN TRY TO TURN OVER. I DISCONNECTED THE NEG BATTERY POST AND WAITED A FEW MINUTES, HOOKED IT UP AND IT STARTED. DROVE IT FOR A COUPLE DAYS THEN, BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE IT DIED'WHILE MOVING IT JUST DIED. IT WAS ON THE WAY TO THE DEALER FOR SOME WARRENTY PAINT REPAIR SO I FIGURED I'D DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AGAIN AND DRIVE IT OVER. WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR THE ALARM WENT OFF. NOTHING I COULD DO TO TURN IT OFF. COULD NOT TURN THE KEY TO OFF AND COULD NOT GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. PUSHING THE BUTTONS HAD NO EFFECT. DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY SILENCED THE ALARM. HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. THEY TRIED FOR TWO WEEKS TO FIX IT. THEY CHANGED THE IGNITION MODULE, AND IT DIDN'T' WORK. THEY REPROGRAMED THE KEYS AND IT DIDN'T WORK. THEY REPROGRAMED 1 ANOTHER NEW, DIFFERENT KEY AND IT DIDN'T WORK. THEY PROGRAMMED TWO NEW DIFFERENT KEYS AND SAID THAT FIXED IT (MAKES NO SENSE WHY THE SECOND KEY WOULD HELP). IT ALSO DOESN'T MAKE SENSE HOW THE KEY FOB MALFUNCTION WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO DIE WHEN IT'S RUNNING. PICKED UP THE TRUCK AND DROVE 200 MILES. THEN THE NEXT DAY IT DIED WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT AT 30 MPH, IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THEY CLEARLY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THIS THING AND WON'T PAY TO TOW IT BACK TO THEIR SHOP. THEY WANT ME TO SEND IT TO A LOCAL SMALL TOWN DEALER, 4 HOURS FROM HOME. I CAN BARELY GET THEM TO RETURN MY CALLS. THE SERVICE REP SAYS ALL THEY CAN DO IS HAVE IT TOWED TO THE CLOSEST DEALER.
WHEN TURNING TO THE LEFT THE STEERING WHEEL STICKS LIKE THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT. WHEN MOVED BACK TO STAY ON ROAD I OVER TURN SOMETIMES COME OFF THE ROAD
SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE OIL DUE TO ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET BREAKING AWAY FROM FRAME CAUSING ENGINE TO DROP PUNCTURING THE OIL FILTER. 7 QUARTS OF OIL PUMPED OUT ALL OVER THE HOT EXHAUST AND ONTO THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE ASSEMBLY. WHEN I SAW THE SMOKE I SLOWED DOWN AND TRIED TO GET TO A SAFE STOPPING POINT OFF OF THE HIGHWAY. BY THE TIME I GOT THERE THE LOW OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR CAME ON. WHEN I FINALLY CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP OIL WAS EVERYWHERE UNDER AND ON THE VEHICLE.I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF AND GOT OUT THINKING IT MAY BE ON FIRE. THANKFULLY IT WAS NOT. I ALSO HOPE THERE IS NO ENGINE DAMAGE. I CALLED THE DEALER AND HAD IT TOWED TO THERE SHOP. I WAS INFORMED THERE WAS AN INCOMPLETE WELD ON THE FRAME BRACKET CAUSING THIS FAILURE. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT TO ME! I,AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE REPAIRS THE DEALER IS PROPOSING. THIS TRUCK IS 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS 18,000 MILES.*DT *TR
I HAVE A 2019 RAM 1500 I BOUGHT LAST YEAR THAT NOW HAS 20,000 MILES. WITHIN 5,000 MILES, I NOTICED BRAKE NOISE ISSUES AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN LEESBURG, VA). THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING FROM BAD BRAKE PADS TO ROTORS TO MOUNTS - AFTER I REFUSED TO ACCEPT THEIR CLAIM OF NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING. AFTER TAKING IT IN APPROXIMATELY 6 OR 7 TIMES, THEY FINALLY CHANGED MOUNTING ASSEMBLIES, AND THE NOISE WENT AWAY. HOWEVER, I STARTED GETTING A VIBRATION BETWEEN 45 AND 60 MILES AN HOUR. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN, AND THEY SAID MY TIRES NEEDED TO BE REBALANCED, ROTATED, AND THEY SUSPECTED THEY HAD UNUSUAL WEAR SOMEWHERE. OF COURSE, THE PERSON TELLING ME THIS PROCEEDED TO SHOW ME MY TIRES AND NOTICED THEY WERE ALMOST LIKE NEW. HE SAID THEY FIXED IT TO THE POINT IT WOULD ONLY VIBRATE BETWEEN 75 AND 80 MILES. SINCE THEN, THE VIBRATION STILL PRESENTS ITSELF BETWEEN 45 MILES AND UP & NOW MY BRAKES ARE SQUEALING AGAIN.
STEREO CAN BE TURNED ON WITHOUT THE KEY FOB OR PRESSING THE IGNITION BUTTON CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DRAIN DEAD
TRUCK WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET AT 40MPH. APPROACHED A STOP LIGHT AND THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD STARTED GOING OFF (ALL OF THEM). THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WENT ON AND OFF BY THEMSELVES, BLINKS DIDN'T WORK, HAZARDS DIDN'T WORK, THE RPM AND MPH GAUGES KEPT GOING UP AND DOWN. THE BRAKES DIDN'T WORK SO I HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF, WAITED 5 MINUTES AND STARTED IT UP AGAIN. SAME THING HAPPENED. SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAITED 10 MINUTES, STARTED IT BACK UP AND THIS TIME ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I MADE IT HOME 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. THE FIRST BUSINESS DAY AVAILABLE, THE DEALER CAME AND PICKED UP THE TRUCK. IT HAS BEEN WITH THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE WEEK. THE CALLED THE OTHER DAY AND SAID SOMETHING IS WRONG, THEY ARE UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE UP NOW. THEY ARE WAITING FOR AN ENGINEER TO REVIEW IT FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
WASHING/WAXING TRUCK WHEN CRACK WAS FOUND OVER DRIVER DOOR JAMB WHERE THE ROOF AND THE DOOR SURROUND MEET. TRUCK HAS 11,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND NOT ABUSED. ZERO ACCIDENT DAMAGE. FCA HAS ALREADY DENIED THE INITIAL CLAIM BUT IT IS REPROCESSING. ABSOLUTE TEXTBOOK MANUFACTURER DEFECT, BE IT IN STEEL USED OR WELDING PROCESS. CRACK FIRST FOUND ON 8/15/2020, NO IDEA HOW LONG IT'S BEEN THERE.
WHILE OPERATING THE 2019 RAM 1500, THE STEERING WHEEL STICKS (DOES NOT TURN SMOOTHLY OR LOCKING WHILE IN THE TURN) WHEN YOUR TURNING IT LEFT OR RIGHT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF 50-70 MPH. WHILE OPERATING THE ABOVE MENTIONED VEHICLE, DUE TO THE STEERING MALFUNCTIONING, I FEEL IT IS DEEMED UNSAFE TO OPERATE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
TLA* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2019 RAM 1500 CLASSIC ST QUAD CAB. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 62 MPH AND TOWING A CAMPER TRAILER, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE SWITCHING LANES WITHOUT WARNING. AS THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF, THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED TO DRIFT TOWARDS THE RIGHT OF THE HIGHWAY AND HIT THE HIGHWAY SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE THEN FLIPPED OVER ON ITS HEAD AND THE CAMPER FLIPPED OVER ON ITS LEFT SIDE. THE FRONT AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. FELLOW MOTORIST WHO WITNESSED THE ACCIDENT ASSISTED THE CONTACT AND BROKE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE GLASS AND REMOVED THE CONTACT AND HER FATHER FROM THE VEHICLE. THE AUTHORITIES ARRIVED AT THE SCENE AND THE CONTACT AND THE PASSENGER WERE TREATED BY THE PARAMEDICS AT THE SCENE BUT DID NOT GO TO THE HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. BOTH THE TRAILER AND THE VEHICLE WERE TOTALED AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT TOW YARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND AN INSPECTION ON THE VEHICLE WAS PERFORMED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN EDR REPORT FROM THE MANUFACTURER BUT NO STATEMENT WAS GIVEN AS TO WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,093.*DAD*DAD*JB*JB*LN *TR
WHEN VEHICLE SHIFTS TO REVERSE THE SIDE MIRRORS TILT DOWN TO SHOW PARKING LINES. WHEN THE VEHICLE RETURNS TO DRIVE, THE MIRRORS TILT UP BACK TO THE FACTORY RESET POSITION RATHER THAN THE POSITION PREVIOUSLY SET BY THE VEHICLE OPERATOR. THE DRIVER MAY NOT NOTICE THE MIRRORS ARE MISPLACED UNTIL THEY ARE ON THE ROAD. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE DRIVER HAS CAN REASONABLY EXPECT THE MIRRORS TO RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS POSITION. ALL OTHER CARS WITH BACKUP MIRROR TILT RETURN TO PRE-SET POSITION. I HAVE CONTACTED RAM AND THEY CLAIM THIS IS THE INTENDED FUNCTION OF THE MIRROR / ELECTRONICS. MY LOCAL DEALER CONFIRMED THAT RAM SAYS THIS IS CORRECT FUNCTION AND THAT THE SAFE RETURN OF MIRRORS TO PRE-SET POSITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE WITH A HIGHER LUXURY TRIM OPTION.
2019 RAM 1500 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAY GOING BLANK, STARTING OUT GOING BLANK WHEN PARKING OUTSIDE IN HEAT AND HUMIDITY IT WOULD COME BACK WHEN TRUCK COOLS DOWN INSIDE. AUGUST 19 2020 I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO CHECK IT OUT. THEY SAID INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED REPLACED AND ORDER ONE. THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE THREE WEEKS TO GET. CALL DEALER SEPT 12 AND THEY HAVE NO IDEAL WHEN THEY WILL GET IT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING SINCE AUGUST 19 WITH NO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IT HAS NOT WORK AT ALL. SEE THIS AS SAFETY HAZARD.CAN NOT SEE ALARMS, MILEAGE, OIL PRESSURE, WATER TEMP, OR ANY ALARMS, HAD ALARM YESTERDAY FOR ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES WHILE DRIVING. TOOK ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO FIGURE IT OUT WAS A SENSOR.

The drivers seat back has broken twice in the same exact way leftside seat back support breaks dealer has been contacted. Vehicle has not been in an accident or impact.

EVERY LIGHT ON DASH WAS FLASHING, GAUGES WERE BOUNCING ALL OVER, HAZARDS WOULDN'T TURN ON, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, LOSS OF BRAKES, WIPERS SPED UP, TRANSMISSION TRYING TO SHIFT GEARS, AIRBAG LIGHTS WERE ON, TRANSMISSION SLAMMED IN TO PARK ONCE VEHICLE WAS UNDER 5 MPH, AND SHUT ITSELF OFF. HAD TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED TO YORK CHRYSLER IN CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN. THIS WAS ON THURSDAY JULY 30. I HAD TAKEN VEHICLE TO BOSAK MOTORS IN MERRILLVILLE, IN ON FRIDAY JULY 24 DUE TO SAME ISSUE AND WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T FIND THE ISSUE. I MANAGED TO VIDEOTAPE THE ISSUE WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING. I ALSO LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND A COUPLE VIDEOS OF OTHER RAM 1500 DOING THE SAME THING.
2019 RAM LARAMIE 4X4, 5'7", CREW CAB WITH LESS THAN 9000 MILES ON IT, GETTING INTERMITTANT "SERVICE AIRBAGS" MESSAGES WITH DINGING ALARM FOR PAST 2 WEEKS AND NOW, GETTING "PASSENGER SEATBELT ALARM" INTERMITTENTLY AS WELL WITH MY WIFE BUCKLED SECURELY IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, WHILE I'M DRIVING.
POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AROUND A PARKING LOT.THE TRUCK IS EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER AROUND CORNERS. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING THIS TRUCK WITH NO POWER STEERING.
STEERING STICKS IN THE 11 O'CLOCK POSITION IN LEFT CURVES OF 30 DEGREES AT SPEEDS OF 30 MPH OR MORE. THE FASTER THE SPEED THE MORE PRONOUNCED THE STICK. THIS IS THE STICKING PROBLEM REPORTED BY MANY IN THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE GROUND ISSUE TOTAL POWER LOSS. THE PROBLEM WAS ORIGINALLY CORRECTED AT 1879 MILES BY THE DEALER REPLACING THE RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY. PROBLEM REAPPEARED OVER THE WEEKEND 7/24/2019 AT 35,200 MILES. I'LL BE TAKING IT TO THE DEALER THIS WEEK. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THERE IS SOMETHING AMISS IN RAM'S RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLIES. THIS PROBLEM COULD DEFINITELY RESULT IN THE DEATH OR INJURY OF THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE OR THE OCCUPANT'S OF OTHER VEHICLES. I FIND REFERENCES ON RAM FORUMS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AS FAR BACK AS FALL OF 2018, THE SAME AS MY ORIGINAL PROBLEM. I AM HIGHLY SURPRISED THAT RAM HASN'T FOUND AN ANSWER FOR THIS PROBLEM.
