WHILE STEERING LEFT, THE STEERING WHEEL GETS HUNG UP, AND DOES RETURN TO CENTER WITHOUT FORCING IT BACK TO CENTER.
DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY WHEN BALL JOINT FELL OUT CAUSING TO SKID DOWN HIGHWAY, TOOK TO DEALERSHIP IN THEY SAID WAS A DEFECT.
ISSUE WITH RADIO SOUND SYSTEM. OCCASIONALLY NO SOUND FROM SPEAKERS. MUST DISCONNECT BATTERY TO RESTART/REBOOT RADIO COMPUTER TO GET SOUND BACK. KNOWN ISSUE MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES MADE A SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE ISSUE OCCURRED PRIMARILY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE AND WHENEVER IT RAINED, SNOWED, OR ANY CONDITION THAT CAUSED THE GROUND TO BE WET. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY EXCESSIVE PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CALLED ANTIOCH CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP (LOCATED AT 105 RT 173, ANTIOCH, IL 60002, 847-787-7016), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
IN OCTOBER 2019, THE UCONNECT SYSTEM IN MY 2019 RAM 1500 BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. IT STARTED WITH GPS COORDINATES BEING MISALIGNED TO MY CURRENT LOCATION, BUT QUICKLY PROGRESSED TO MALFUNCTIONING IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE SYSTEM. ON DECEMBER 30, 2019, THE ENTIRE SYSTEM FAILED, RENDERING A BLACK SCREEN AND NO ABILITY TO CONTROL THE CRITICAL FUNCTIONS IN THE VEHICLE (MAINTENANCE, LIGHTING, CLIMATE, OR SAFETY CAMERAS). WITHOUT THE UCONNECT SYSTEM, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MODIFY ANY OF THE SETTING FOR THE VEHICLE.
LOOSE REAR SUSPENSION. CREATES A WOBBLE THAT INCREASES WITH SPEED. VEHICLE SEEMS UNSTABLE. BEEN TO MULTIPLE DEALERS AND THEY SAY TIRES ARE OUT OF LINE. I HAVE PAID FOR EIGHT WHEEL ALIGNMENTS AND THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CONSTANT SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. *TR
WITH THE HVAC SYSTEM SET TO DASH VENTS, AIR IS ALLOWED TO BLOW THROUGH THE DEFROST VENTS CAUSING FOGGING ON THE WINDSHIELD, MANY MORNINGS THIS FOGGING IS SEVERE AND IMPEDES MY ABILITY TO VIEW OTHER CARS/PEDESTRIANS ON THE ROAD. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN DEC '18. TO DATE RAM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL, OR SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS. MANY OTHER 2019 RAM 1500 OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE.
SEVERAL TIMES THE VEHICLE BRAKES HARD (AS IN LOCKS UP THE BRAKES) WHEN BACKING UP AND AUTO BRAKING IS ENABLED, BUT NOTHING IS THERE. SAME THING WHEN DRIVING FORWARD, FORWARD COLLISION WARNING AUTO BRAKES WHEN NOTHING AT ALL IS THERE, ALMOST RESULTING IN BEING REAR ENDED AT LEAST TWICE BEFORE I TURNED IT OFF.. AT LEAST I AM ABLE TO TURN IT OFF. I KEPT THE WARNING ON, AND IT GOES OFF ALL THE TIME WHEN I CROSS SPEED BUMPS OR SHADOWS FROM OVERPASSES. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CONTINUES AFTER TSBS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO ADDRESS. ANOTHER KNOWN ISSUE THAT RAM ISNT ADDRESSING PUBLICLY IS BRAKE SQUEALING - THERE IS AN INTERNAL MEMO ABOUT IT, BUT DEALERSHIPS ARE NOT ADDRESSING IT - IT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BREAK LIGHTLY TO SLOW DOWN BETWEEN 70-40 MPH, BUT THEY CAN NEVER SEEM TO REPRODUCE IT AT THE DEALER. I OPENED A CASE WITH RAM AND THEY HAVE DONE ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT THE DEALER DID...I AM MOST WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY FEATURES CAUSING AN ACCIDENT, PLEASE HELP! LATEST DATE THE FRONT COLLISION WARNING ACTIVATED WHEN NOTHING WAS THERE WAS TODAY. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
I PURCHASED A 2019 DODGE RAM 1500 I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THIS VEHICLE FOR A VERY LONG TIME EXCITED I FINALLY MADE MY PURCHASE. THIS DEALERSHIP I WENT TO SALES REP WAS AMAZING TOOK CARE OF ME MADE SURE I GOT EVERYTHING I WANTED. AS SOON AS I WENT TO SIGN PAPER WORK I NOTICED RIGHT AWAY THE PAPERWORK DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT NAME OR ADDRESS ON IT I POINTED IT OUT TO THE FINANCE MANAGER ?[XXX]? TOLD HIM THIS IS NOT ME AND THIS IS NOT MY ADDRESS AND HE SAID HE WOULD FIX IT IF I GAVE HIM THE CORRECT NAME AND ADDRESS SO I DID SIGNED MY PAPERWORK AND TOOK OFF. 3 WEEKS LATER I GET A CALL FROM MY FATHER THAT MY PLATES AND REG CAME TO HIS HOUSE AND THE TRUCK IS REGISTERED IN HIS NAME AND HIS ADDRESS IS ON THE PAPERWORK. SO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND LET THEM NO WHAT THE ISSUE IS AND NO ONE HAS HELPED ME I HAVE BEEN SENT TO SALES REPS I SET WITH 4 DIFFERENT FINANCE MANAGERS AND ALSO DEALT WITH THE DMV PAPERWORK LADY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND STILL NO FIX EVERY PERSON I TALK TO SENDS ME TO SOMEONE ELSE AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO FIX MY ISSUE THAT THE DEALERSHIP CAUSED. THEN I GET A CALL FROM [XXX] THE FINANCE MANAGER AND TELLS ME I HAVE TO CALL CHRYSLER CAPITOL AND I HAVE TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT THEY HAVE CAUSED AND I HAVE TO DO WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO FIX IT. I HAVE NOT GOT A CALL FROM ANY GM OR MANAGER I HAVE BEEN LEAVING MESSAGES AND NOTHING I DON?T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE UNPROFESSIONAL THIS DEALERSHIP CAN BE IT?S BEEN 3 MONTHS AND MY OWN VEHICLE IS NOT REGISTERED TO ME THAT I BOUGHT AND PAID MONEY ON THIS WAS A BIG PURCHASE FOR ME AND I WAS SO HAPPY PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE NOW THE LAST 20 YEARS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING NOTHING BUT DODGE HAS MADE ME HATE THE BUYING EXPERIENCE FROM THIS DODGE DEALERSHIP. THERE IS A VISIBLE CHUNK OF RUBBER MISSING FROM MY TRUCK TIRE. MY WIFE AND I NOTICED THE ANOMALY ON THE TIRE IN THE MORNING RIGHT BEFORE LEAVING TO WORK. I COMMUTE WITH THIS TRUCK MONDAY THOUGH FRIDAY, ON A SMOOTH HIGHWAY. THESE TIRES HAVE NEVER SEEN HARSH CONDITIONS. THIS IS NOT NORMAL, AND DEFINITELY NOT EXPECTED FOR A VEHICLE WITH SO FEW MILES ON THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE HAS 18400 MILES AND WAS PURCHASED NEW. THESE TIRES ARE MEANT TO LAST MUCH LONGER (5 YEARS / 65,000 MILES). THIS IS A DANGEROUS DEFECT, THAT CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS ESPECIALLY SINCE ONE DOES NOT EXPECT THIS ISSUE TO ARISE. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN BROUGHT TO AN AUTHORIZED SHOP, WORKERS STATE THAT THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE AND WILL NOT BE COVERED. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS SUCH AS THESE SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
#1 COMPLAINT- THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF SOUNDS LIKE IT ISN'T FULLY SHUT WHEN AT HIGHER SPEEDS (80+) AND WHENEVER THERE ARE CROSSWINDS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THREE OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THE SAME COMPLAINT AND THAT THERE WASN'T A FIX CURRENTLY. #2 COMPLAINT- A CLIP TO THE SLIDING REAR WINDOW TO THE BED OF THE TRUCK (PICTURE PROVIDED) HAS BROKEN TWICE BY JUST OPENING UP THE WINDOW FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE FIRST TIME AND IT WAS FIXED. NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER, THE SAME PART BROKE A SECOND TIME. WILL BE TAKING IT BACK INTO THE DEALER SOON. #3 COMPLAINT- THERE'S A CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT LEFT SUSPENSION AREA WHEN CERTAIN SIZED BUMPS OR HOLES ARE HIT WHILE DRIVING AT LOWER SPEEDS. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT'S A KNOW PROBLEM, BUT THAT THERE WASN'T A FIX CURRENTLY.
CONSTANT FLOW OF COLD AIR TO WINDSHIELD IN ALL AIR MODES. CAUSES FOGGING OF WINDSHIELD AT NIGHT AND DECREASES ABILITY TO SAFELY SEE AT TIMES.
I'M HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE STEERING ON MY NEW 2019 RAM 1500 NEW BODY LARAMIE LONGHORN. I NOW HAVE 10,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. I NOTICED THIS WHEN I FIRST OBTAINED DELIVERY. MOST OF MY DRIVING HAS BEEN ON RATHER STRAIGHT ROADS WITH A FEW CURVES. I'M IN COLORADO ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE MOUNTAINS. THIS WEEK WE TOOK A TRIP UP INTO THE MOUNTAINS. TOOK SOME PAVED BACK ROADS AND OFF THE INTERSTATE DRIVING. DROVE ABOUT 12 HOURS. WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT FOR A CURVE IN THE ROAD, THE STEERING WHEEL CENTERS CORRECTLY, AS ALL VEHICLES WOULD THAT ARE ALIGNED PROPERLY. HOWEVER, A LEFT HAND CURVE AT JUST ABOUT ANY SPEED, HAS A CATCH IN IT. IT WILL WANT TO CONTINUE TURNING LEFT EVEN AFTER I'M OUT OF THE CURVE. IT'S AS IF THERE'S A HIGH SPOT IN A ROUND GEAR OR A TIGHT COG IN A GEAR. I HAVE TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE WHEEL TO PULL IT BACK. I'VE HAD THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED. I MENTIONED SOMETHING TO THE DEALER AFTER FIRST NOTICING IT, AND HE SUGGESTED THE BUTTON THAT WILL PULL BACK THE WHEEL WHEN THE TRUCK WANDERS OUT OF THE LANE. BUT, IT WILL DO THAT WHEN IT'S IN FUNCTION OR WHEN I DISABLE IT. THE STEERING, I'VE BEEN TOLD, IS NOT MECHANICAL BUT ELECTRONIC. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THAT TYPE OF STEERING. I'VE DRIVEN TRUCKS ALL MY LIFE, HAVING A CLASS 1 LICENSE YEARS AGO. 18 WHEELERS, ETC.. I'M 75. NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE WITH ANY VEHICLE. ANY ADVICE? I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN ABOUT 10 DAYS TO TAKE IT IN FOR A LOOK SEE. THIS IS DANGEROUS.. MY WIFE COULD NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. IT WOULD FREAK HER OUT HAVING TO PULL THE STEERING BACK OUT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
MY LEFT REAR LED TURN SIGNAL. WARNING LIGHT ON MY DASH CAME ON. I INVESTIGATED THE PROBLEM AND THOUGHT I WOULD TRY TO REPAIR THE TAIL LIGHT. I COULDN'T FIX IT DUE TO TOO MUCH ELECTRONICS INVOLVED SO I RE ASSEMBLED THE TAIL LIGHT AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE MY DEALER. I TOOK THE TRUCK IN AND WAS TOLD THE WARRANTY WAS VOIDED BECAUSE I TOOK IT APART TO SEE IF I COULD REPAIR THE LIGHT. THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE IT. THE REASON I AM WRITING IS THAT THE TAILLIGHT FAILED. WHY? IT WAS NEVER INVESTIGATED, ONLY TOLD ME I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO BE REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. I WOULD HAVE TO PAY. HOWEVER IF THE LIGHT FAILED ON MY TRUCK, WHY? OUR VEHICLE HAS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH THE BREAKS THAT SHOWED UP WITHIN A WEEK AFTER PURCHASE. IN THE FIRST MONTH OF OWNERSHIP OUR BREAKS LOCK UP WHEN BACKING UP FOR NO APPARENT REASON. TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM THE TRUCK HAS TO BE PUT BACK INTO PARK AND THEN INTO REVERSE AGAIN. THE SAFETY ISSUE IS IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT AND NEARLY GETTING HIT BECAUSE THE BREAKS LOCKED UP. IT HAS HAPPENED IN OUR DRIVEWAY AS WELL WITH NO OTHER CARS OR OTHER OBSTACLES NEAR. IN THE FIRST MONTH IT HAS HAPPENED NO LESS THAN 6 OR 7 TIMES.
AFTER TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, FOR 10 TO 20 MINUTES THE STEERING WILL STICK AT AROUND THE 1100 TO 1000 O'CLOCK POSITION DURING LEFT HAND TURNS ON INTERSTATES. IF LEFT ALONE THE STEERING WILL NOT REALIGN AT THE 12 O'CLOCK POSITION AND VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO VEER LEFT . YOU MUST MANUALLY STEER RIGHT PAST A NOTICEABLE DETENT IN THE STEERING PATH TO RETURN THE WHEEL TO CORRECT POSITION. THE LONGER YOU DRIVE THE MORE NOTICEABLE THE STICKING BECOMES AND MORE FORCE IS REQUIRED TO BRING THE WHEEL BACK TO CENTER. AS THE FORCE REQUIREMENT INCREASES THE INCREASE OF OVERCORRECTIONS OCCURS. THIS IS QUICKLY BECOMING VERY DANGEROUS. OF NOTE IS THE FACT THIS WILL NOT OCCUR BELOW HIGHWAY SPEEDS EVEN AFTER TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS FOR 20 MINUTES. ONCE YOU GO BELOW 60 THE MALFUNCTION WILL NOT DUPLICATE. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD ALL REQUIRED RECALL REPAIRS FOR GROUND CABLE PRIOR TO PURCHASE. MAINTENANCE APPOINTMENT WITH DEALER IS SET WITHIN THE WEEK.
WHILE MAKING A SLIGHT LEFT TURN ABOUT 10 TO 11 O CLOCK STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKING UP AND HAVE TO FORCE THE WHEEL TO CENTER. VERY DANGEROUS IN THE RAIN AND I COULD ONLY IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THE WINTER TIME. I NOTICE IT MORE GETTING ON THE ON RAMP OR BACK COUNTRY ROADS WITH A SPEED RANGE FROM 20 TO 45 MPH. THE DEALER CROWN DODGE IN GREENSBORO NC SAYS THAT I NEED TO DO A 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT TO MAKE SURE RIGHT AND THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR BECAUSE ITS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. TRUCK HAS 12160 MILES. CODE IN THE SYSTEM FOR STEERING ANGLE SENSOR. THIS IS UNSAFE AND MY TRUCK HAS BEEN SITTING AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR WEEKS NOW WITH NO FINAL REPAIR.

THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE ISSUE WOULD BE ADDRESSED DURING THE FOURTH QUARTER OF 2019 WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (COBLESKILL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM 5709 2444, NY-7, COBLESKILL, NY 12043 (518) 234-4000) BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,500. *DT*JB
AUG 6TH- DRIVING ON HWY, AND PARKING LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT FLASHING. STOPPED MY TRUCK AND BRAKES LOCKED UP. HAD TRUCK TOWED TO DEALER NEXT DAY, AND SERVICE DEPT SAID MY CALIPER DISC BRAKE WENT BAD! THEY REPLACED IT. ALMOST A MONTH LATER ON SEPT 1ST 2019, IT HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE I WAS DRIVING! MY HUSBAND WAS FOLLOWING ME, AND SAW SPARKS. STOPPED TRUCK AND BREAKS LOCKED UP AGAIN! HAVING IT TOWED TO SHOP AGAIN ON TUES SEPT 3RD BEING THEY WERE CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY. SINCE I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK 1 YEAR AGO, IV HAD BRAKE PROBLEM ALL ALONG, AND NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE SHOP FOR IT. THEY HAVE REPLACED AND TURNED MY ROTERS 2 TIMES ALREADY, AND THAT HAS NOT HELPED.
CROSSING A BUSY INTERSECTION, MY TRUCK STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION FOR NO APPARENT REASON. WAS EVENTUALLY ABLE TO RESTART IT, BUT STALLED AGAIN AFTER APPROXIMATELY TWO MINUTES. HAS BEEN AT COLE CHRYSLER SINCE 9/5/2019. DEALER SAYS IT MAY BE THE BATTERY ASSOCIATED WITH THE HYBRID SYSTEM. EUREKA, I THINK I'VE LOCATED IT! I CALLED THE RECALL PHONE NUMBER FOR FCA AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION. THE CALL TAKER WAS UNABLE TO COMPREHEND THE ISSUE AND REPEATEDLY TOLD ME I COULD NOT SPEAK WITH A MANAGER. THE CALL TAKER HUNG UP ON ME. I CALLED BACK AND SPOKE TO A DIFFERENT REPRESENTATIVE AND SHE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER EITHER. THIS ISSUE IS ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 19V556000. THIS CAN BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS IT TAKES EXCESSIVE FORCE TO BRING THE WHEEL BACK TO CENTER, WHICH COULD LEAD TO OVERCOMPENSATION AND EVENTUALLY WRECKING.
I OPENED THE DOOR ON MY 2019 RAM AND I WAS THE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THESE TRUCKS WERE LOCK THE BRAKES IF IN DRIVE AND THE DOOR IS OPENED. THE PULL / DRIFT TO THE RIGHT OCCURS ON ALL TYPES OF ROAD SURFACES. THE GRADE OF THE ROAD DOES IMPACT THE PULL / DRIFT AS IT IS EXAGGERATED WITH A STEEPER RIGHTWARD GRADE, HOWEVER IT WILL DRIVE STRAIGHT IF THE ROAD HAS A SLIGHT LEFTWARD GRADE. WITH A MILD RIGHTWARD GRADE, I HAVE TO PUT A LITTLE LEFTWARD PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP IT FROM VEERING RIGHT. THIS OCCURS AT SPEEDS OF 10 TO 80MPH ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. IF THE DRIVER GETS DISTRACTED FOR A MOMENT, THE VEHICLE WILL UNINTENTIONALLY CHANGE LANES OR PULL THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD IT SERVICED AND THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED 4 TIMES AT CORWIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM IN FARGO, ND AND THEY TELL ME THE ALIGNMENT IS WITHIN SPEC AND THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO. TIRE PRESSURE IS EQUAL IN ALL FOUR TIRES. THE SERVICE MANAGER STATES A RIGHTWARD PULL IS CHARACTERISTIC OF NEW VEHICLES. I DO NOT BELIEVE MY VEHICLE, NOR ANY ANYONE ELSE'S, SHOULD BE PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND POTENTIALLY CAUSING A MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH. WE HAVE TO TURN OFF BOTH PARKING ASSISTANT CENSERS TO BE ABLE TO MOVE. AFTER THIRD INCIDENT WE HAVE LEFT THE PARKING CENSERS OFF. CALLED DEALERSHIP WAS TOLD TO CLEAN CENSER THAT POSSIBLE LARGER DEBRIS MAY BE CAUSE, ALSO WASHED TRUCK BUT ISSUE CONTINUED. TAKING FOR SERVICE NEXT WEEK WITH DEALERSHIP.
A/C DOES NOT GET COLD AND HAVE TO CLOSE REAR VENTS FOR IT TO PUSH HARD
