While pulling out of a stop light, my 2022 Ram 1500 stalled, and the parking brake engaged while I was in the middle of the intersection. After getting the truck restarted and safely getting through the intersection, the battery indicator warning light came on and the voltage gage dropped dramatically. When I took the truck to the dealer I was told they could not replicate therefore it was in safe operating condition. My truck is one year old with only 7400 miles. Also the dealer disputes the active recall on my truck.
The vehicle is equipped with an Auto Start/stop that turns the vehicle off when in the Drive position if the vehicle is sitting still for a period of time. This kicks on at every stoplight and every time the vehicle is sitting still with my foot on the break for longer than about 10 seconds. The vehicle will turn off but will not restart. It will try until the battery is drained to the point the low battery indicator comes on. In the instance that the vehicle does start it chugs along for 15-20 feet and then dies again. This has pushed me into the middle of intersections and then died. It has done it to me while making a left hand turn which puts me directly into oncoming traffic. It has done this while emergency vehicles are behind me and prevents me from getting out of the way. It has done it to me while merging onto the highway. I have had the vehicle in the shop 4 times in the last month and a half and even after the issue is “corrected” it malfunctions again. The Star Engineers from Chrysler have had the vehicle under diagnostics for over a month and still can’t pinpoint the problem. The dealership has informed me the issue is not fixable, and Ram has told me that they are not taking ownership of the problem and that I should be patient for it to be fixed. We will now be escalating this to a legal issue. I’d like it noted that I have multiple videos of the vehicle malfunctioning and how it locks the truck up.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 15000. The contact had experienced the failure causing the vehicle to hesitate while accelerating. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V263000(Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 7,400. The VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 50-60MPH, he veered or turned the steering wheel to the left or right, and the steering wheel became stiff. The contact stated that he had to apply pressure to the steering wheel however, the steering wheel failed to retract back to the center and made it difficult to maneuver the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified by the dealer of the failure and the contact was informed that a case would be opened but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
AFTER COMING TO A STOP, OR NEAR STOP, THEN TRYING TO GO AGAIN, VEHICLE HAS SHUT ITSELF OFF AND ENGAGED PARKING BRAKE 3 TIMES NOW IN LAST MONTH. YOU HAVE TO THEN PUT IN PARK DISENGAGE PARKING BRAKE RESTART AND HOPE YOU CAN GO, SOMETIMES TAKES 2 OR 3 TRIES. I SEE THIS COMPLAINT EVERYWHERE ON FORUMS. THIS IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED AS THEY TRY TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC! DEALERS SAY THEY CAN'T REPLICATE ISSUE, AND DO NOTHING.
The HPFP on my 2022 RAM Rebel Eco Diesel is a potential failure my dealer is aware but no fix has been available. I ask each time I am at the dealership and told no resolution has been provided. This is going on a year.
I purchased this vehicle on May 4, 2023. On 8/5/23, the vehicle did an over the air software upgrade to T25.48. After it did the upgrade a few of my safety features were erased/eliminated. The side cameras stop working. I brought the truck to Stewart Dodge Dealership in Colma Ca. on 8/7/23 so they can reflash the system. The mechanic said that my truck wouldn’t accept the reflash. It appears my system got corrupted from the software upgrade. After the reflash, my hands free text messages thru the radio stopped working. The mechanic told me that there is a TSB case # S238A000041 about a potential problem after doing this software upgrade. Since then, a Dodge Customer Service representative contacted me, Beth J. and told me that I have a Star case # now. My Star Case # is [XXXXXX] In my opinion, this software upgrade made my truck a safety hazard to me and the public. Stewart Dodge Dealership is saying I have to wait for any repairs since a software enhancement is expected in the 4th quarter 2023. They will not change the radio or throw parts at it. This Ram 1500 is a known problem all over the internet for randomly stalling. This truck stall for no reason. This is a safety issue and RAM refuses to recall the vehicle or buy it back. You could be driving 20mph or 65 mph and it could stall. Then the car need to be stopped and put in park in order to restart it. I refuse to subject me or my family to this safety hazard driving on the road

Auto engine accelerated while, pushing on break
The fuel system issue at RAM has been known for months and still there is no "fix". I have been trying to trade my vehicle since summer (2023) and I am completely stuck because of the issue. Dealers will not take it because they cannot resell it. The value it at auction price which has devalued my vehicle from the ~$81K sticker price to now they say I can buy a new vehicle (same) for ~$69k. They have literally stuck me in the corner without having remedy. Are they even working on it? The OEM's seemingly reluctance to act, in // with accelerating the devaluation of my vehicle, feels like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Can NHTSA apply some pressure here on behalf of consumers everywhere? Also sorry but the email links in your website do not work so this was the only way I could find to get a message through. So sorry and thanks.
In September of this year (2023), while driving, the engine stalled. Information on the Driver Information Center said to put foot on brake and press "start" to start engine. Note that I was rolling along at about 30 mph in heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic in a middle lane of a multi-lane interstate during rush hour while towing a trailer at the time. I was completely blocked in by traffic, and there was no way to safely pull over to the shoulder. I tried lightly stepping on the brake and pressing start to see if it would restart while moving. This didn't work. I shifted to neutral and tried again. The engine still would not start. Eventually the truck slowed to a few miles per hour when the emergency brake came on, bringing the truck and trailer to an abrupt stop in the middle of heavy interstate traffic. Once stopped, I was able to shift to Park, step on the brake and press Start. The engine started. I was then able to shift to Drive, release the parking brake, and accelerate. After the restart, everything worked normally and I continued my trip from Chicago to North Carolina without incident. This is the second time this has happened. This exact same scenario also happened in the spring of this year (2023). I was not towing a trailer at that time.
I am having issues with the Uconnnect radio screen freezing and a loud buzzing coming from the speakers for 10-15 seconds until the radio reboots itself. This issue has occurred on vehicle start, putting vehicle into drive/reverse and while driving down the road. If in reverse the backup camera will also freeze. Both the rear camera freezing and loud buzzing can cause driver distraction. While backing up having the camera freeze is a big safety issue as children could be right behind you outside of rear view mirror view and when the freeze of the camera happens while backing up could cause driver to hit person/objects. Vehicle goes to shop soon to be diagnosed. No error messages are displayed while or after the screen freezes/reboots. I have video of this issue.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V263000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle began losing motive power and started to stall. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled while pulling off the roadway. The contact stated that he made several attempts to restart the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to restart. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer who diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump had failed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,800. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
After coming to a full stop at a stop sign. I proceeded to hit the gas to enter the intersection. The vehicle left the stop sign fine but when I got into the middle of the intersection, the vehicle died. Had to be put in park and restarted. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me. Seems it possibly cause an accident if there was ever traffic coming from the opposite direction. Vehicle only has 10k miles on it and no check engine light is on.
The system is supposed to alert then activate the brakes if a collision is going to occur. It is supposed to be a safety feature that’s adds an additional layer of safety to the vehicle which I paid more for. There seems to be no solution from Chrysler
While driving at a slow rate of speed, the engine turned off, the emergency brake engaged itself automatically, and the truck came to a sudden stop--very unexpectedly. There was a message that came on the screen telling me to put the truck in park to turn the vehicle on.
The contact called on behalf of his grandparents who owned a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while his grandfather was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that due to the failure the vehicle crashed into a huge stone flowerpot outside of the dealer. The huge stone flowerpot then struck a parked vehicle. The parked vehicle sustained damages to the front bumper. The contact's grandparents vehicle had damages to the front grill and cosmetic scratches to the vehicle. The grandparent's vehicle was left at the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was returned to the finance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000. The VIN was unavailable.
I was driving down the road and my truck shutoff and coasted just enough for me to get out of the on coming traffic and then the emergency brake automatically turned on causing my truck to stop in the middle of the road and auto shift put it into park. Fortunately, I was able to get it started again and move out of the road. I very easy could have been killed.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that on two separate occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was steered into a parking lot, turned off, and restarted after several minutes. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
I bought the truck December 2021 but my truck is 2022 ram 1500, couple month after bought it , when I'm drive the truck in the middle of intersection my truck turn off (stall ) next day i brought to dealer ship to inspect but they couldn't find anything wrong , and today Aug 5 2023 its happen again when I'm about to crossing the road the truck just stop (stall). And it's all recorded on my dash cam and I call the dealer and they said to bring my truck on Monday Aug 7 2023
Our 2022 Ram 1500 Diesel truck stranded us from approx. 9pm-1am while traveling hours home on a remote MS state hwy intersection and shut our engine down, locked all 4 wheels & disabled our ability to put the vehicle in neutral to push from the roadway. We were left stranded in a main lane of a busy intersection at 10 pm at night. The local PD showed up and had to block traffic and our truck had to be 'pulled' onto/off of a flatbed tow truck (wheels would not turn) and hauled to the local dealer. We had nowhere to go as the local dealer was closed & no rental agencies were open so we had to sit outside in the parking lot of the dealership until midnight for a friend to arrive from our hometown to come pick us up. We are being told that our high pressure fuel pump failed and our truck is part of a recall (that still shows online as 'remedy not yet available'?) & that it may take up to a month to get it back due to parts delays/repair time. No warning lamps or message appeared on the dash prior to this occurring and we received no letter telling us to 'seek service asap'...the letter we recall receiving said the same as what appears online?? Our hometown dealer said they could not offer us a loaner since the vehicle was not in their shop, yet Ram will not tow it to them, and the dealer we left it at 2 hrs away has no loaner vehicles available so we have now had to pay nearly $300 OOP for the tow and call the corp. office to file 'cases' to REQUEST RETROACTIVE reimbursement of the tow expense & a whopping $40/day from Ram towards a rental vehicle! We have now paid nearly $1k OOP in 5 days for towing and rental expenses which only get us to 8/13 and the ETA for repair is not til 8/27 at best. This is clearly in no way a 'timely repair' of a safety recall!? We have called all 3 customer care numbers for Ram to no avail. We need their financial assistance UP FRONT to pay for these expenses while we await the repair of our fully warrantied vehicle!
Turning into parking lot vehicle shut down Engine stopped emergency brake came on 3rd time in 4 months 16000 miles on 2022 ram 1500 etorque
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the windows in the vehicle started to become foggy; severely reducing driver visibility. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to diagnose a failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who then advised the contact that a failure did not exist. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 80,000.
At a complete stop, truck shuts off and emergency brake gets engaged for no reason. This has happened approx. 8 times since I bought the truck brand new from dealer. Truck has 12, 800 miles to date. No major safety risk but stuck in traffic while trying to get truck moving. The problem has not been reproduced by dealer but doing research online, other people are complaining on the same issue. The Ram dealer (Nemer) in Wilton, NY has inspected under warranty. No warnings or messages appear when truck shuts off.
Truck stalls out when driving and stoping. Causing parking brake to engage and lose of all functions. It has been at dealer 4 times they say it’s to intermittent. They can’t get it to do it. Also they see a fault but can’t trace it. This has been going on since 2023 a few months after I leased it. I have all records of events. No warning is given before this happens. It just dies. Yes truck is available for inspection. Dealer has all info on status. Parkway dodge jeep and ram.
Multiple instances where vehicle shuts down, immediately stopping/slowing the vehicle. This has occurred while vehicle is in motion, also in stop and go traffic. Engine will shut off immediately and throw multiple check engine/system warnings, including "Service ABS, Service Stability/Traction Control, Service Airbags. Had service appointment with dealer, but was vehicle was released with dealer stating they could not reproduce instance. Within a week, the vehicle shut down in traffic and had to be towed back to the dealer. Pictures were taken of the dash code and provided to the dealer. After a second week, the dealer response was they could not duplicate the problem.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stopped the vehicle and the power steering failed to operate as needed. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to a dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred; however, the vehicle was not taken back to a dealer. The contact stated that water had puddled on the floorboards in the rear seat where the battery pack was located. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was equipped with the E-Torque system. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated, prompting him to pump the accelerator pedal, after which the vehicle seemed to return to normal functionality. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who failed to determine the cause of the failure, and the vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V263000 (Fuel System, Diesel) for which the VIN was included; however, the part was not yet available for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was 12,300.
I'm afraid that the hpfp will fail while I am driving with my wife and newborn in the vehicle whike driving. It's terrifying to have to put them in danger and drive this vehicle, but I need a vehicle to get to work everyday.
It's been over a year that FCA has known of the potential dangers of a high pressure fuel pump that suddenly stops working and has not produced a remedy. This is unacceptable. Driving a vehicle knowing that it could, at any time, shut down in heavy traffic and become immobile is unacceptable. If FCA cannot come up with a timely (too late for "timely") replacement part, NHTSA should force them into other options for owners.
The truck has been having difficulty shifting the transmission at times, major delay in throttle when applying the gas pedal at a stop sign or at a stop light. This can be a major accident waiting to happen because that delay may and can cause an accident, injury, and/or death.
Two issues, both 12" radio/infotainment issues. 1) Radio will often, and without warning get, for lack of a better term, corrupted, the entire system freezes, no screen control and makes a loud static esc noise.. The only way to fix the issue is to power cycle the radio either by holding the power button and scan button down for 15 or so seconds, or turning off the truck and cycling the power to the radio by opening then closing and opening the door again.. Neither are easy to do when traveling at highways speeds. 2) Infotainment screen will turn off, loosing all controls to cabin features and controls. Radio still works, but no screen is available for controls. ( the screen on/off button DOES NOT turn or reset the screen when this happens) The only way to get the screen back on is to power cycle the truck--- turning off the truck, opening, closing and opening the door again. again, not an easy feat when at highway speeds.
The truck engine stop running as I was accelerating from a stop at an intersection. It auto-shifted to park and required me to restart the truck. Thankfully this was not a busy intersection or pulling out on a highway. This is the 2nd time it has happened in less than 30 days. In my opinion, this is a major safety hazard that needs more attention given by the manufacturer. Someone could be seriously injured if this happens in a busy intersection. There were no warnings or messages at the time of the failure. The next step is bringing it to the service center.
While driving the steering randomly gets stiff when turning to the left. This seems to only happen while on the highway. After googling issues with this model vehicle, I found that the electronic power steering system could be the culprit. I am not sure but it makes sense. This is a big safety concern because it could cause an accident and possible life loss. I have taken this vehicle in a few times about this issue. I have even showed the dealer a few videos of the issue while it was happening, but the dealer for some reason said thy could not reproduce the problem.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V263000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
P275 / 65r 18 The passenger front tire had a side wall blow out that just about took me off the road. Luckily I regained control of my truck before getting in an accident. The service center closest to where I was located somehow patched the sidewalk which I don't think they are legally supposed to do. In addition, these tires have very little tread left after only 30,000 miles. I'm extremely disappointed with the fact that I have to buy new tires already and the fact that without any explanation from the service center about the possible cause of the sidewall blow out, they were reluctant to speculate.
While driving in town or on freeway, the engine shuts off and emergency braking system is engaged. No warning lights come on suggesting anything for a code. The dash only says to place truck in park, restart the truck and disengage the emergency parking system. This has been in the shop and they can not duplicate. Dodge is aware of what is transpiring. How is this safe and have not been recalled by dodge? I have children and grandchildren that are usually in the truck with me and this is NOT a safe vehicle to drive at this time!!! This has happened numerous times!!! What if an 18 wheeler is behind me and a fatality happens? I am an er travel nurse. There are plenty of others experiencing this and nothing has been done per the attorney I spoke with. My cell number is [XXX] should you need to contact me regarding this matter. Thank you in advance for taking care of this matter in a speedy manner. As I said prior, this could be fatal to a family due to the negligence of Dodge Ram. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
The engine has a mind of its own and decides not to do engine breaking even if the driver downshifts. I first noticed this at low mileage when slightly tapping on the breaks would sometimes cause engine breaking as long as I kept my foot off the accelerator. However if I down shifted for additional engine breaking on the same slope the engine would scream revving up to 6000 RPM without slowing the truck at all, NO ENGINE BREAKING! So last week this problem nearly cost my life. I was going down a mountain pass with my 4500 lb RV which is well within the advertised 7000 lb allowed towing capacity but if I let my foot off the gas, no breaking. This is normal and the driver just downshifts to introduce some breaking. So i down shifted from 5th and the engine responded with a self destructive scream reving up to 6000 RPM and yes NO ENGINE BREAKING. I did not think much of it after all I still have the breaks right? So feathered the breaks for about 10 minutes or so thinking nothing of it. Even tapping the break to tell the onboard computer I need engine breaking is not working even though it was working when minimal engine breaking was needed. Out of pure luck I decided to stop at a mountain spring to get some fresh spring water and that is when I notice wait a minute, this car is barely stopping!! I got out of the car just short of the end of the pullover spot and was greeted with the smell of burning break pads! THE FRONT BREAK PADS WERE SMOKING! What is sad is that the same RV on the same pass on my 20 year old 12 passenger van easily manages this when I down shift to second gear with some minor feathering of the breaks and never in 10 years had issue with the slightest heating of the break pads. BY DISABLING ENGINE BREAKING CHRYSLER HAS CREATED A SERIOUS INJURY HAZARD.
Problems started about a year after I built/purchased the vehicle. I started to experience stalling and hesitation when accelerating. At slower speeds, the truck shuts off, occasionally and the brakes lock up. This almost caused a major incident twice, due to vehicles following me and the abrupt stops in traffic. This could have caused a major accident and loss of life/lives. This has been going on for several months. They can't seem to duplicate the problem, even though, on 3 occasions, they did software updates and once, replaced the fuel pump. The vehicle is still under warranty but approaching the end of warranty period in about a year. I have taken the vehicle to Dodge on 8 occasions and they say it can't be duplicated. I filed an arbitration hearing for them to repurchase or replace, but was denied. I recently read in a news article that there is a preliminary investigation for the exact same thing that is happening to my vehicle, which involves over 150,000 vehicles in the 2022 Ram and Jeep Wagoneers by the NHTSA. The vehicle is very dangerous to drive and I fear that a major accident is imminent. Customer care says that because they can't find anything wrong with the vehicle, they closed the case. I have everything documented, the arbitration case denial, the customer care representative, closing the case because she stated that I was refusing to work with them, which is not true. She informed me that they were even going to tow the vehicle to the Dealership where it was purchased, but the dealership refused to look at or work on the vehicle. She expected me to drive 100 miles to another dealership and I refused to do that, based on the drivability of the vehicle. The dealership where purchased, is 15-20 miles from my residence. Another dealership, that has been trying to duplicate the problem is 5 miles from my residence. There is a very, very dangerous problem with this vehicle. At the moment I have roughly 17,000 miles; practically new.
Engine stopped while driving down a mountain road. Dash said put your foot on brake and push start button. Car emergency brake engaged. No check engine lights or codes. Truck has stopped again about a month later same thing. Took to dealer on July 19th 2023 they couldn’t have it happen while they drove it. No codes. Aug. 25 th 2023 while going through an automatic car wash the same thing happened again same messages still no codes.
has been hesitating since day one entertainment and GPS freezing and still is it has been to the dealer for both and has been updated many times the last update was for drive ability concerns and it was the worse it has been since the update was done the morning after it was done it would not start i had to try 3 or 4 time and it started and ran ruff and the trans was not shifting correctly the update for the GPS and the entertainment system was done over the air and still does not work it still freezes and i have to stop driving to reset it as far as the hesitation i can make turns safely if you think you have enough time to turn safely you don't and could get hit broadside the last pcm update made everything worse be careful ram owners i have to be every time i drive it
On 4/7/23 the vehicle was taken into the shop because it cutoff randomly. The dealership kept it 2 days and said they couldn’t replicate the issue. On 5/7/23 I was on my way home driving roughly 40-45 MPH. The vehicle shutoff causing my steering to not work and my brakes to not work. I hit a telephone pole head on splitting the telephone pole in half. I spent 16 hrs in the hospital and now have a long road of recovery ahead of me.
On May 5, 2023 I was driving home when my new 2022 Ram 1500 ECODIESEL truck broke down. It has been at the dealership ever since then. The high pressure fuel pump went out. The dealership requested that I call Chrysler and request a buy back process because the pumps has a recall on it. So I called Chrysler and requested the buy back process and was informed by Chrysler today since they don’t have the parts they are going back with the same pump even though it has a recall on it putting my life and my family life in danger. Please help me! How is possible that they can go back with the same parts when it has a recall on those parts?
While driving at highway speeds. The throttle stopped responding. Had to pull off the side of the highway as the vehicle engine had shut down. Afterwards, no dash lights on in the instrument cluster and the key fob would not initiate any activity.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and pulling out of the parking spot, the vehicle sputtered and stalled. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was unable to be restarted. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V263000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but was unable to confirm when the part would be available. The failure was approximately 42,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
While driving and pulling a camper, the truck stalled and the park brake activated. The truck would not start again and was stuck in the left lane of a two-way lane road. Luckily no one was following close or they would have rear-ended the camper as no braking occurred- the truck just stalled. We were in an area (Douthat state park) with no cell signal and had to get out of the vehicle on the road to get help. There were no warning at all before the truck stalled. The truck had to be towed to a dealership. The feedback from the dealership is that they need to open up the engine to determine what happened but there is a 3-week wait so I don’t know what failed.
April 8th, 2022, we began having concerns with the safety of the vehicle when the vehicle would not turn off after pressing the off button. The speakers were intermittently working (specific zones not working and eventually all sound lost), no back up alert sounds when vehicle in reverse. After multiple attempts, the vehicle turned off. The next day we started the vehicle and it seemed as though everything had “reset” itself. On 4/13/23 the standing issues mentioned above continued to occur. We brought the vehicle back into Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Brooksville. The Body Control Module was replaced at that time. We picked up the vehicle on 4/25/23. After leaving the dealership, approximately 3 miles down the road, the radio and speakers began to malfunction, and the back-up sensor was not alarming nor producing any sound. The dealership was immediately contacted, and we were told to bring the vehicle back to be serviced once business hours resumed (it was 5:30pm when we picked the vehicle up). Videos were taken to corroborate malfunctions and provided to dealership. 4/26/23 - While driving 45 mph. the emergency brake engaged, bringing the vehicle to a screeching halt. On 5/10/23, while driving at 55mph, the vehicle lost all power The sound system/speakers lost all functionality as well. Videos were taken to corroborate malfunctions and provided to dealership.
Engine randomly stalls. This happens while driving.
Vehicle stalled died while turning left and automatically set parking brake very dangerous while on busy road
