I was in an accident and my airbags did not deploy. I have a head injury. No Not yet No
Parked vehicle for a week in driveway. Sometime during that week side curtain airbag inflator unit exploded causing significant damage to the roof and interior of the truck. Vehicle was powered off and was not involved in a collision when this incident occurred. Vehicle was not included in the recall for this problem and I was never notified this could be an issue. If there had been a passenger in the rear seat they would have likely been severely injured by the explosion of the inflator.
Air bag is showing not working and seat belt shows not secure along with warning light on dash. Not feeling secure in driving vehicle with kids or myself, dealer was advised and would not replace it unless i paid for it $1000.00 and they charged $200.00 to diagnose the issue that is considered a safety problem. Warning lights all over the dash, not safe driving. They are telling me its the occupant restraint module thats faulty
The dash leather is bubbling up across the entire top of dash. With this happening it causes a huge concern over airbag deployment. Due to the dash cover being weakened from the bubbling, if I were to get into an accident with a passenger then the airbag would have less restriction for deployment which could cause further harm to my passenger. Manufacture is not covering under warranty because they say it is cosmetic and not a safety concerns. My concern is that I believe the dash should be 100% intact before driving down the road due to the possibility of an accident occurring.
Front driver side seat belt does not retract/lock as it should. I'm worried for our safety if an accident occurs and the seatbelt does not hold driver in place. Has not been seen by dealer due to dealership wanting me to pay out of pocket. First started a few months back and has not resolved its self.
I was driving on the highway and was rear ended by another vehicle which lifted the back end of my truck from the ground. Both side air bags deployed. I was wearing a hoodie at the time and the airbag deployment caused my hoodie to catch on fire. There was not an open flame for me to know it was burning. Instead, it smoldered and burnt my hoodie material. I could feel the underside of my arm stinging and the holes in my sleeve, but believed that it was a result of the airbag hitting my arm and causing essentially a bad carpet burn. However, this caused second degree burns to the bottom side of my arm near my arm pit. I discovered after the incident that airbag deployment is assisted by gunpowder. I am not sure if this is what caused my hoodie to catch fire. I also discovered that 2021-2022 Rams recently had a recall on Side Airbags due to improperly compressed air. My truck is a 2019 however, so I'm not sure if that recall should be expanded to include additional years.
THE DRIVERS SEAT BELT DOESN'T RETRACT ON IT OWN. I'M CONSTANTLY HAVING TO PULL THE EXTRA SLACK BACK TO ALLOW IT TO RETRACT. IT GET HUNG UP ON THE ADJUSTABLE LOOP ON THE PILLAR. THE EXTRA SLACK MAKES IT SO WHEN YO UNSTOP SHORT (OR CRASH) THE BELT WON'T LOCK TO KEEP YOU FROM FLYING FORWARD
THE RETRACTOR ON THE SEATBELT DON'T RETRACT YOU HAVE TO FEED THE SEATBELT BACK IN THE HOLE IN ORDER FOR IT TO STAY IN YOUR CAR. IF I TRY TO PULL REALLY HARD THE SEATBELT DOSE NOT STOP 3/5 TIME YOU PULL IT. IF AN ACCIDENT HAPPENS TO MY FAMILY IT WILL BE ON THE HANDS OF RAM.
