Driving along normal and the engine started knocking, then the noise went away and about three miles later the engine started knocking extremely loud as I attempted to get off the road safely the engine locked up, I opened th hood and seen the engine connecting rods broke out of the engine and it now has holes in the block, and needs a total replacememt
While entering the interstate highway and accelerating to merge into traffic the transmission would not shift properly and check engine light came with code p0871. I could not fully control the speed to keep up with traffic due to the erratic shifting of the transmission and was nearly rear ended by another vehicle also merging into traffic. This could have caused a multi vehicle accident at highway speed of 65 MPH. The p0871 code is transmission fluid pressure sensor / switch c circuit range/performance. There have been previous recalls with this transmission for the same problem but my vin was not listed. Transmission would not shift properly until code is reset with scan tool.
I lost trailer brakes, hydraulic controller not working. traction control light is on along with my airbag and my abs light comes on at times. NO REPAIRS WERE DONE YET. DEALER STATES ORC MODULE NEEDS REPLACEMENT. I believe this is an reoccurring issue.
sometimes when I first start the truck and drive off, I find out that I have no throttle response at all. No smoke or abnormal noises, just a dead pedal. Then after I stop the truck and take off again it works perfectly normal. I've heard of others having this problem but haven't heard of a fix. I also can't duplicate the problem; it has only happened a couple times. I did check for any codes which I did not have any.

Front driver side. The chassis weld is broken. It’s a weld that holds the coil spring bucket. I also notice bad welds on the frame.
I have problem with rear window light water leak. This light has water leak and I have a lot of water after each rain. Many of my things were destroyed because of this. I know RAM has reacalls for this huge problem, but they denied to fix my car, because there is no this recall under my VIN. But I read a lot of comments on RAM forums and many people complaining about this issue. I also saw that some people were able to fix it under the recall but I don't have any idea who I should contact for help. I need them to fix this issue in my car also, because this is manufacture issue not because of me
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 3500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V880000 (Fuel System, Diesel); and would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was contacted.
I placed my truck in park and got out to close the door to my hangar. I turned around and my truck was rolling forward. It rolled into a small two seat plane and pushed it into another plane causing significant damage. When I saw what was happening I ran to the truck but got to it a little too late. I went to put the truck into park, but it was already in park. This confused me a lot because this is not suppose to happen. This morning after I started my truck I tested the gear shifter and to my surprise I am able to shift the truck out of park and all the way into drive for about 1 second or more after removing my foot from the brake. You should not be able to shift a vehicle out of park when your foot is not on the brake. After this incident I have gone online and have ready about large recalls for similar issues with RAM trucks and vans. I even seen some issues posted about my same year truck. Ram had a recall that ended with year model 2018 vehicles for this, but I dont think the issue was resolved completely, or there is a different issue causing this that needs to be investigated. I took a couple videos to prove that my truck shifts out of park without the brake being depressed.

The vehicle was taken to the workplace. There was no police report filed. The contact stated that the employee had a bruise on the right arm and a small cut on the right cheek. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 146,927.

P2609 code. Grid Heater Relay. A P2609 code indicates an issue with the intake air heater system voltage or performance and often means the grid heater bolt is failing and has lost its ability to conduct current. Firstly, I have contacted Ram about the issue and they said I can't do anything about it. It's a safety feature and it absolutely is the total OPPOSITE of a safety feature! When on icy roads, with traction control off, and in four-wheel drive, if the truck starts sliding, it cuts the power to the wheels when I need power to pull out of the slide. I've been driving in icy / snowy conditions since I was 14 years old and I'm now [XXX] . Since it cut power to the wheels, the truck continued to slide off into the ditch causing major front end damage. If there had been a person walking their dog there, they would have been killed. This happened at about 15 mph and was totally preventable if I had had control of the vehicle instead of a computer! I don't even understand what the traction control button being turned off actually does because apparently it doesn't do anything. Also, I about got thrown through the windshield when the automatic brakes came on thinking I was going to rear-end some one who was not going to be there by the time I got there! Again, not a safety feature! There definitely needs to be a way to turn these systems off completely. If I remove the fuse for the traction control system it unfortunately affects other systems as well. So that is not an acceptable fix. In my opinion, people are putting far too much trust in computer systems. I do not believe there should be a computer in control of a vehicle at any time. You will never get me in a" "self-driving car!" It's complete lunacy! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The vehicle info on the dashboard tells me "Exhaust System Service Required See Dealer" and the check engine light came on. Took the vehicle to the dealer who cleared the DTC's with no resolution to the problem and sent me on my way. Problem returned within 150 miles, codes cleared. Problem returned again with same notice on the dash board and check engine light. Called a different dealer who said get it in right away, the truck will go into limp mode within a certain mileage range. Went to another dealer with the same results. Codes cleared, check engine light went off and no resolution to why this happens. Was told if it happens again bring it back.

The contact stated that he followed the instruction of the dealer, and the vehicle restarted; however, the check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed; however, no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
When truck is in cruise control on with driver assist on, if I run off side of road and go over the ridges on the side that alert driver my ABS light comes on saying my driver assist and my cruise control can no longer be used and my ABS breaking system requires a mechanic. This has happened on three different occasions.

There is the known recall for my truck. 2019 Ram 3500 with Cummins diesel engine. The CP4 high pressure fuel pump if prone to failure and can cause the vehicle to immediately stall and possible causing serious injury. (Y78/NHTSA 21V-880) I took my truck in and was told parts are not available for 2019's. So I need for my pump to fail and possible injure or kill myself or someone else and they will complete the recall? Makes no sense. I had a parasitic draw on my battery that became progressively worse to the point that a jump no longer worked to start the vehicle. I bought a brand new battery and it was completely dead within 24 hours even though I had only driven the vehicle about 5 miles and had the vehicle off for over 23 of these hours. I replaced the battery again and left the vehicle running while loading for a trip and 30 minutes later the battery started to release smoke from overheating. Wires and plastics around the battery were starting to melt so I completely disconnected the battery. This 2nd new battery was also dead within 24 hours of purchase. I took the vehicle to a Ram Dealership and after a lot of testing over multiple days they identified the problem as a parasitic draw from the ABS module. Please note the parasitic draw occurred whether or not the vehicle was turned on. After the dealership changed the ABS module and both batteries the vehicle has been operating ok although I still receive low battery power notices which restricts certain vehicle functions every few days. I have to turn the engine off and on to reset the error.

Last week this took place: 2019 Ram 3500 Dual rear wheels AISON transmistion is outfitted with factory trailer brake module. Was hauling a horse trailer near 30,000 lbs to a horse show, caravaning with crew pulling a second horse trailer about the same weight with a 2020 Ram 3500 (Vin #3C63RRNL7LG242818 (see separate complaint)) . All connections checked before departure. ABS warning light went on a few days before then disappeared. When braking, no trailer brakes engaged. Then checked hand paddles on the factory trailer brake module and the hand paddles activated the trailer brakes. Took it into the dealership to check codes and they said none appeared or were somehow reset.
Traveling approximately 65 mph when tonneau cover blew off. Luckily no one was behind me so no accident occurred. Appears that wind got under a corner of the cover and put pressing on the locking handles. The rear two handles snapped off and we’re still in the bed of the truck when the cover blew off. I saw online that this has happened to other people. I’m not sure the name of the tonneau cover but it is OEM from Ram.
