On February 6, 2024 when driving southbound by mile marker 250 on Interstate 75 in Florida, the steering wheel started feeling funny like I was driving on a really rough road. When I looked out my rear camera, it appeared that tire tread scraps were coming from my vehicle. After slowing down to the breakdown lane, I inspected all four tires and found that tread had separated from the middle of the drivers side rear tire. I was able to slowly make my way to a nearby rest area, when I got help changing the tire out to the spare. The tread separated and caused the van to be unstable. The flying tread pieces were a danger to other vehicles on the road. If I had continued driving, the tire could have exploded causing damage to my van and to other vehicles on the road. Called dealer and was told these tires only have a 90 warranty.
