BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Reported to NHTSA: August 8, 2025
Defect Description
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles. Water may enter into the rearview camera connectors, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image.
Safety Consequence
A rearview camera that displays a blank or distorted image can reduce the drivers view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the rearview camera harness and rearview camera, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed August 15, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated May 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S83.
