Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)I HAVE A 2004 SAAB 9-3. TODAY, I EXITED MY CAR AND WHEN I CLOSED THE DOOR, THE ADHESIVE HOLDING THE GLASS TO MY SIDE VIEW MIRROR FAILED(THE MIRROR/GLASS FELL TO THE GROUND). THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS CONCERN BECAUSE I USE MY MIRRORS ALL THE TIME WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING SAFE LANE CHANGES. I NOW HAVE A DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR(GLASS) THAT IS NO LONGER THERE. I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. MANY PEOPLE HAVE CERTAIN MEDICAL ISSUES THAT WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO COMPLETELY TURN THEIR NECK/TORSO TO THE LEFT TO VIEW ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHILE TRYING TO MERGE. IF A PERSON WITH SAID PROBLEM LOST THE ABILITY TO VIEW THEIR MIRROR THEY WILL BE FORCED TO BLINDLY MERGE INTO LANES THAT THEY CANNOT BE SURE ARE CLEAR AND SAFE. FURTHERMORE, I LOOKED INTO REPLACING THE MENTIONED MIRROR AND CAME UPON THIS WEBSITE. (HTTPS://WWW.INTERNETGLASSNETWORK.COM/SSL/SAAB/9_3.HTM) YOU CAN CLEARLY READ THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
