THE KEY HAS HAD MANY INSTANCES OF TROUBLE INSERTING OR REMOVING FROM THE IGNITION. THE KEY CAN ALSO BE REMOVED WHILE IN ANY OF THE POSITIONS. AT TIMES THE KEY ALSO HAS TROUBLE TURNING BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT POSITIONS. SEEMS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE THAT MANY SIMILAR MODEL YEAR SATURN VEHICLES ARE HAVING. I VENTURE THE PROBLEM IS IMPACTING MORE VEHICLES THAN GM IS WILLING TO ADMIT. THE LONGER IT CAN PUSH OF THE REPAIR THE LESS COSTLY IT IS TO THE COMPANY. *TR
DRIVING ~20MPH ON DIRT ROAD FOR 7 MILES WHEN SMELLED HOT OIL. DETERMINED THAT BOTH SHOCKS HAD BLOWN OUT THEIR GREASE AND THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING OUT OF BOTH REAR SHOCKS. SHOCKS STOPPED SMOKING WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF LETTING CAR SET, SHOCKS ARE NO LONGER FUNCTIONAL. WONDERING IF IT WOULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE IF WE HADN'T STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. *TR
AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON FOR MY 2007 SATURN VUE 6 CYLINDER AWD. *DT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
SEVERE PROBLEM WITH HYBRID / ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IMPAIRING SAFETY, USE AND VALUE OF THE VEHICLE. BEGAN WITH ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN AND RESTARTING ITSELF - LURCHING FORWARD WHEN IT DOES - DESPITE PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE. AT A LATER DATE NOTICED A STRONG ODOR CONSISTENT WITH AN ELECTRICAL FIRE INSIDE THE VEHICLE CABIN. ON ANOTHER OCCASION THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN LOSING ALL POWER AND VEHICLE FUNCTIONALITY - INCLUDING POWER STEERING AND OTHER VEHICLE SYSTEMS. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART. ON THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN, RESTARTED ITSELF AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON YET AGAIN. THE VEHICLE THEN PROCEEDED TO SHUTDOWN AGAIN THREE MORE TIMES WHILE ENROUTE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE ATTEMPTED REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY. SINCE FEBRUARY 2010, THE HYBRID BATTERIES HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE AND THE ECM REPROGRAMMED THREE TIMES, THE STARTER GENERATOR / ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE STARTER GENERATOR CONTROL MODULE RELAY HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE PROBLEM WITH THE HYBRID / ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STILL HAS NOT BEEN ISOLATED OR RESOLVED - DESPITE AN EIGHT YEAR, 100,000 MILE WARRANTY FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND NOW ASSUMED BY GENERAL MOTORS. AT THIS POINT THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE SATURN AND GM DEALERS FOR SERVICE ON THE HYBRID / ELECTRICAL SYSTEM A TOTAL OF 6 TIMES IN THE PAST 10 MONTHS. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE NOW FOR THE LAST 26 DAYS AND IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP TRYING TO BE REPAIRED. *TR
2007 SATURN VUE, MANUAL TRANSMISSION, 44810 MILES. TRIED TO SHIFT TO REVERSE, COULDN'T GET INTO GEAR. WENT TO 1ST, THEN BACK TO REVERSE OK. LATER IN DAY, SAME PROBLEM/SOLUTION. DINNERTIME: TRIED TO GO TO REVERSE, AND STICK FLOPPED BACK W/ NO RESISTANCE AT ALL. AGAIN ... 1ST TO REVERSE EVERYTHING FINE. TO DEALER NEXT DAY ... DIAGNOSIS: CLIPS HOLDING SHIFTER CABLES BAD, RECOMMENDS REPLACING BOTH CABLES AND ENDS/CLIPS AT SHIFTER. TRIED TO TAKE TO INDEPENDENT GARAGE TO HAVE REPAIR PERFORMED, AND UPON PICKUP AT DEALERSHIP BOTH CLIPS WERE APPARENTLY SO BAD THAT NO LINKAGE BETWEEN SHIFTER AND TRANSMISSION NOW EXISTS. CAR IS UNABLE TO MOVE UNDER OWN POWER. PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO BE REPLACED. OUT OF BUMPER-TO-BUMPER AT 36K MILES ... NOT COVERED UNDER 5YR/100K MILES POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. WHILE EXITING A PARKING SPACE HE LOST HIS HIS ABILITY TO STEER. HE HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. HE CONTACTED THE DEALER, IN WHICH A TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE STEERING KNUCKLE CAUSED THE FAILURE. HOWEVER THERE WERE NO RECALLS TO ADDRESS THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE.
MY 2007 SATURN VUE ALL THE TIME SINCE I PURCHASED IT THE PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYMENT BAG LIGHT WILL NOT WORK, UNLESS I TURN ON THE PASSENGER HEAT , AND THE SEAT DOES NOT HEAT UP, AND I AM STILL NOT SURE IT WILL WORK BECAUSE IT IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, ALSO MY ELECTRIC WINDOWS WON'T WORK ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND THE IGNITION SHIFT THE KEY STICKS AND STEERING COLUMN LOCKS WHEN THIS HAPPENS, AND IT WON'T RELEASE THE KEY. DEALER WON'T DEAL WITH IT, WONDER IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS BECAUSE I DO NOT FEEL SAFE ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE PASSENGERS, IT CANNOT BE TRUSTED, NOT SURE OF ANY RECALLS, BUT IT DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO AND FIXED BEFORE ANYONE COULD GET HURT. *TR
FAILURE OF MANUAL TRANSMISSION LINKAGE. SHIFT LEVER ACTION BECAME LOOSE DURING SHIFTING FROM 3RD TO 2ND GEAR. VEHICLE REMAINED IN 3RD GEAR ALLOWING CAR TO BE DRIVEN OUT OF TRAFFIC. DISASSEMBLY OF SHIFT ASSEMBLY INDICATED FAILURE OF RETAINING CLIP THAT HELD FRONT/BACK SHIFT LINKAGE ON TO END OF SHIFT LEVER. REPAIRED LINKAGE BY DRILLING THROUGH CABLE END ASSEMBLY AT 4 CORNER POINTS OF TOP AND BOTTOM PLASTIC RETENTION PLATES TO REPLACE FAILED INADEQUATE E-CLIP RETENTION SYSTEM THAT ATTACHES CABLE END TO SHIFT LEVER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN THE CONTACT BEGAN TO HEAR EXTREME OUTSIDE NOISES AND WIND BLOWING INTO THE VEHICLE. THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS BEGAN TO SHAKE ABNORMALLY FOLLOWED BY RAIN LEAKING IN THROUGH BOTH DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THAT BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS SIDE DOORS WOULD NEED THE ALIGNMENT READJUSTED AND RESEALED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
THIS VEHICLE STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS JUST 2 YEARS AFTER I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. I HAVE HAD THE WHEEL BEARINGS REPLACED 8 TIMES. EACH FRONT ONE HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES AND EACH REAR ONCE. GM HAS NOT RECALLED THE ITEM AND HAS IN FACT EXTENDED MY WARRANTY BUT THIS VEHICLE IS OBVIOUSLY A LEMON OR THE BEARINGS SHOULD BE RECALLED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FAILED TO TURN OVER PREVENTING THE VEHICLE FROM STARTING. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE DEALER REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH FIVE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I TOO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE KEY IGNITION AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT COMING ON. THE KEY WAS FIXED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. NOW MY ISSUES IS WITH THE WINDOWS RANDOMLY NOT WORKING AND PASSENGER AIR BAG ON. MY CAR WINDOW ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE DID NOT WORK FOR A YEAR. IT WOULD WORK OCCASIONALLY (WHEN I TESTED THE BUTTON) NOW THE PASSENGERS SIDE WORK, BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE DOSE NOT. I WAS TOLD BY SATURN THAT THEY ARE UNRELATED ISSUES. I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THAT? MY CAR IS IN THE SHOP TO HAVE SERVICE DONE ON IT. THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW NEEDS TO BE FIXED. AT THE COST OF $265.00 JUST THE DRIVER SIDE, AND THEY SAID THAT THEIR IS NO PROBLEM WITH PASS. SIDE... I CAN SEE THAT THE WINDOWS ARE AN ISSUES WITH THIS TYPE ON SATURN... AND NO ONE IS ADDRESSING THIS ISSUES. THEIR IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM AS WELL AS THE WINDOW SYSTEM. I LOVE MY CAR, BUT WHAT I'M READING HERE SEEM TO SHOW ME THAT THE PROBLEMS ARE REAL CONCERNING MY CAR. AND THE SERVICE CENTER SAID THAT THEY NOT RELATED? I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM WITH THAT. SOME ONE NEED TO CHECK IN TO THE WINDOW AND AIR BAG PROBLEM. THEIR MUST BE A SITE THAT PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THESE ISSUES?? TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, THE IGNITION MALFUNCTIONED. IT STARTED UP INITIALLY, BUT STOPPED A FEW SECONDS LATER. SHE ALSO NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT MOVE. ALL OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTING IN THE VEHICLE ILLUMINATED AND COULD NOT BE TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT ALL OF THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED. SHE ATTEMPTED TO LOCK THE DOORS, BUT THEY WOULD NOT LOCK. SHE ATTEMPTED TO ACTIVATE HER PANIC BUTTON, BUT THAT ALSO DID NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT IT FUNCTIONED CORRECTLY ONCE IT WAS JUMPSTARTED. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INFORMED OF WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURES, ALTHOUGH THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE JUMPSTARTED DUE TO THE LIGHTS BEING ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, BUT STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS AVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,650 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,600.
HEARD WHAT SEEMED TO BE ROAD NOISE WAS TOLD BY DEALER IT WAS MY TIRES AFTER CHANGING TIRES WAS TOLD IT WAS A FRONT END BEARING AND WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER. TWO MONTHS LATER SAME NOISE, RETURNED TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE OTHER SIDE BEARING WAS DEFECTIVE IT WAS REPLACED. I STILL HAVE WHAT SOUNDS LIKE DRIVE TRAIN NOISE BUT GET NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM DEALER. AIR BAG SENSOR ON PASSENGER SIDE IS DEFECTIVE, DOORS ARE ALIGNED SO POORLY THAT DAYLIGHT CAN BE SEEN THROUGH THE SEAL. THIS IS A 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE AND HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED. I FEAR THAT I MAY BE JEOPARDIZING MY FAMILY'S SAFETY BY DRIVING IT. IS THERE A LEMON LAW OR ANY OPTIONS FOR ME. *TR
SATURN VUE 2007 V6 GAS ENGINE 15,000 MILES VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 20MPH, SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR, AND IDLED AT 1,500 RPM. DEALER STATED THE THROTTLE WAS FILLED WITH CARBON DEPOSITS AND THAT THIS IS NORMAL FOR THE VEHICLES AT 18,000 MILES. I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN A VEHICLE WITH THIS PROBLEM REGARDLESS OF TOTAL MILEAGE OR ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN OPERATED UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS IN LOUISIANA AND WITH BRAND FUELS WITH ADDITIVES. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE VEHICLE HAS BRIDGESTONE DUELER T88 TIRES, SIZE P215-70-R16. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TREAD ON ALL FOUR TIRES WERE WORN AT 22,000 MILES. TL*THE CONTACT 2007 SATURN VUE. WHEN THE CONTACT STATED ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE KEY WAS STUCK INSIDE OF THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED FIVE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER EACH TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHERE THE IGNITION SWITCH WOULD BE REPLACED OR NEW KEYS TO THE VEHICLE WOULD BE PROVIDED. PASSENGER AIR BAG SENSOR FAULTY. GOES ON WHEN NO PRESSURE IN THE SEAT, SEAT BELT LIGHT FLASHES, TURNS OFF RANDOMLY WHEN PASSENGER IN VEHICLE. TOOK TO LOCAL SATURN DEALERSHIP, THEY COULD NOT "DUPLICATE" PROBLEM SO DID NOTHING. TAKING BACK AGAIN THIS WEEK TO TRY FOR RESOLUTION. *TR
I PURCHASED THE USED VUE IT CAME WITH 12,000 OR 12 MONTHS WARRANTY WE HAD IT IN THE DEALER MANY TIMES,OF COURSE THE AIR BAG LIGHT WOULDN'T STAY ON. THEY TOLD US THEY ADJUSTED SENSOR CODE B0092. EVERY OTHER WHEN THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG THEY REPLACED PARTS BUT NOT THIS AIR BAG LIGHT. AFTER THE 12,000 WARRANTY WAS UP THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. I BROUGHT IT THE DEALER WHERE WE PURCHASED SATURN AFTER A $99.00 BILL,2 YRS LATER THE LIGHT IS ON. EVER ONCE AND A WHILE IF YOU TWIST AND THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF. WE ARE GOING TO GIVE THIS CAR TO OUR DAUGHTER WHO IS HAVING A BABY. WILL IT BE SAFE FOR A FAMILY CAR? THANK YOU *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE HYBRID. WHILE PROCEEDING THROUGH A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED. WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING, THE IGNITION RESTARTED AUTOMATICALLY. ALSO, THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE RADIO LIGHT INDICATOR SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO A VOLTAGE DEFECT WITHIN THE BATTERY. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS AND WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE RADIO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 43,942.
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, SHORTLY THEREAFTER ALL DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AND CAR SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. COASTED TO SIDE OF ROAD, THANKFULLY NO ACCIDENT. TOOK TO DEALER, DIAGNOSTIC TEST RAN, 5 CODES CAME UP, REPAIRED ONLY ONE ACCORDING TO PAPERWORK. NEXT TIME DROVE VEHICLE HAPPENED AGAIN. *TR
I HEARD A RUMBLING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 150 MILES, THE NOISE BECAME NOTICEABLY WORSE. I WENT TO THE SATURN DEALERSHIP AND HAD THE PROBLEM CHECKED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE TENSIONER ON THE SERPENTINE BELT HAD 'DISINTEGRATED' AND WAS ON THE VERGE OF FAILURE. *TR
(1) THE IGNITION CYLINDER HAS BEEN FAULTY SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS RECEIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP IN APRIL 2007. IT WAS GREASED TWICE. SINCE POSSESSING THE CAR (BOUGHT MAY 2007), I HAVE HAD INCREASING TROUBLE TURNING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. THE DEALERSHIP JUST URGED ME TO GREASE IT, BUT FINALLY, JULY 2008, THEY REPLACED THE FAULTY IGNITION CYLINDER. (2) THE BATTERIES IN THIS GREENLINE VUE WERE LEAKING, TWICE, LEADING TO A RECALL, AND HAVING THEM REPLACED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. AFTER ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR APPROXIMATELY 12 TIMES, THE CONTACT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. ALL THE OTHER DOORS ON THE VEHICLE FUNCTIONED PROPERLY AND ALLOWED HIM TO ENTER AND EXIT. THE DEALER ADVISED HIM TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION SO THEY COULD ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY THE DEFECT. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 45,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN VUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER HE PLACED THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION TO START THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD NOT TURN OR GRIND. HE COULD NOT TURN THE KEY TO START THE VEHICLE. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TWO TIMES AND THEY REPLACED THE TUMBLERS TO REMEDY THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT DID NOT FEEL THAT THE DEALER CORRECTED THE ISSUE AND THE IGNITION WAS BEGINNING TO "CATCH" AGAIN. AFTER THE LAST VISIT TO THE DEALER, HE NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT LOCK AT ALL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE 2007 SATURN VUE WAS THE ONLY MODEL YEAR THAT DID NOT HAVE A STEERING WHEEL LOCK. THE MANUFACTURER AGREED WITH THE DEALER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,240 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000. UPDATED 09/23/08 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE STEERING WHEEL DOES NOT LOCK. I HAVE A 2007 SATURN VUE GREENLINE AND HAVE HAD THE HYBRID BATTERY REPLACED AFTER HAVING THE CAR SHUT OFF AND RESTART AND LOSING ALL HYBRID FUNCTION. I THEN FOUND OUT THAT ALL BATTERY CELLS WERE LEAKING IN MY CAR. NOW THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP DUE TO 3 INCIDENTS OF SUDDEN ACCELERATION IN ONE DAY. FIRST TIME I WAS PARKING AND THE CAR LUNGED FORWARD WHILE FOOT WAS ON BRAKE, SECOND TIME AT A STOP LIGHT AND THIRD TIME STOPPING AT TRAIN TRACKS AND THAT WAS VERY DANGEROUS. I THEN PARKED MY CAR AND HAD IT TOWED BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY CONCERNS. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND TRIED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE WITH NO REPAIRS DONE. I HAVE A 2007 SATURN VUE GREEN LINE. OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS THE VEHICLE WILL STALL ON STARTING AFTER STOPPING OR COMING TO A NEAR STOP (BRAKING AND THEN ACCELERATING). THE ENGINE STALLS FOR SEVERAL SECONDS, THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN THE VEHICLE WILL RESTART. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. CODES WERE RESET AND I WAS TOLD THAT MY GPS UNIT WHICH IS PLUGGED INTO THE INTERIOR OUTLET MAY BE A CAUSE. PURCHASED NEW 05/29/07. IN SHOP NUMEROUS TIMES FOR FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH THAT KEPT STICKING. WOULDN'T REPLACE BUT KEPT 'GREASING.' FINALLY AFTER IN SHOP THREE TIMES PREVIOUSLY THEY REPLACED IGNITION. STARTING TO STICK AGAIN LESS THAN A YEAR LATER. SOON AFTER, DURING A STOP AT LIGHT, OR STOP SIGN, ENGINE WOULD TURN OFF COMPLETELY AND RESTART ITSELF. DEALER SAID THE REAR BATTERY WAS LEAKING ACID AND EVERYTHING CORRODED. 2007 SATURN VUE GREEN LINE (HYBRID) REGARDING NEW (8/24/2007) CAMPAIGN #07195. SATURN OF TEMPE SERVICE ADVISOR JERED SCHAGER DESCRIBED TO ME A LOCAL INCIDENT, LIKELY RELATED TO THIS CAMPAIGN, WHERE THE VEHICLE QUIT RUNNING SUDDENLY DURING A MERGE ONTO A FREEWAY, WHICH ALMOST RESULTED IN AN 18-WHEELER CRASHING INTO THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO CRASH, BUT THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED FROM THE FREEWAY. THIS WAS NOT MY VEHICLE. THIS WAS RELATED TO ME WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. MY SYMPTOM OF THE PROBLEM WAS A "CHECK ENGINE SOON" LIGHT. I WAS LED TO BELIEVE THAT IF I HAD NOT TAKEN CARE OF THIS PROBLEM SOON, THEN I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN STRANDED SOMEWHERE (HOPEFULLY NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT IN 130 DEGREE SUNSHINE), OR WORSE YET IN AN ACCIDENT. THE FIX TO MY VEHICLE WAS TO REROUTE SOME JUMPER WIRING AND REPROGRAM THE ECM & TCM.

I HAVE LIVED NORTH OF DES MOINES FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. I HAVE NOTICED GROWING TRAFFIC BETWEEN DES MOINES AND ANKENY AS THE AREAS OUTSIDE OF DES MOINES CONTINUE TO GROW. WE LUCKILY WERE IN TOWN AND PARKED THE CAR IN OUR DRIVEWAY, WHICH WAS THEN TOED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR.
