"TAKATA RECALL". I RECEIVED THE TOYOTA RECALL NOTICE AND WARNING ABOUT THE TAKATA RECALL ON 2/13/17. I HAVE CALLED TOYOTA AND THE DEALER THEY ARE UNABLE TO GIVE ME A REASONABLE TIME WHEN MY CAR WILL BE REPAIRED. I AM TOLD THAT THEY ARE FOCUSING ON CARS IN THE SOUTH WHERE THE HUMIDITY IMPACTS ARE GREATER. I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN THE HUMID SOUTH. I AM VERY NERVOUS DRIVING THE CAR. CAN YOU HELP ME GET IT FIXED?

I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL TO BE REMEDIED. I CANNOT USE MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THIS IS REMEDIED. THE RECALL WAS IN MAY OF 2016 AND IT IS JANUARY 28TH, 2017. IT HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED IN A TIMELY FASHION WHICH LIMITS THE USAGE OF MY CAR.
TOOK CAR TO THOMAS TOYOTA IN JOLIET, IL AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT ME AS TO WHEN I COULD BRING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM DEALER. WHO ELSE CAN I BRING THE CAR TO FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAGS?

TANKATA RECALL IT'S A POTENTIALLY DEADLY RECALL AND IT IS TAKING TOYOTA 9 ALMOST 10 MONTHS TO GET MY CAR REPAIRED. THIS SHOULD BE UNACCEPTABLE TO TOYOTA AND THE NHSTA. I CANNOT USE MY PASSENGER SEAT FOR 10 MONTHS? RIDICULOUS.

TAKATA RECALL. IF IT WASN'T FOR AN NBC NEWS REPORT ON THE PROBLEM I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THAT I WAS AT RISK. THERE HAS BEEN NO NOTIFICATION FROM TOYOTA/SCION. I LIVE IN FLORIDA WHICH WAS LISTED AS A PRIORITY AREA BECAUSE OF THE HEAT.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK, BACK, AND RIGHT KNEE. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A JUNK YARD. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE CRASH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 104,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN MAY 2016 ABOUT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG ON OUR 2008 SCION XB. WE HAVE PUT INPUT THE VIN NUMBER AND THERE STILL ISN'T AN UPDATE AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THE AIRBAG IS SAFE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 SCION XB. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC LOT WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE ENGINE, WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 151,000.

WE WERE INFORMED OF THIS RECALL IN AUGUST OF 2016, AND WE WERE ADVISED NOT TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT. AS A FAMILY OF FOUR, THIS IS EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. IT MEANS WE CAN NEVER HAVE AN EXTRA PASSENGER, AND IT MEANS THAT ONE ADULT IS ALWAYS CRAMMED IN THE BACK SEAT WITH TWO KIDS, EVEN ON LONG CAR TRIPS. WE HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD FROM TOYOTA SINCE THE RECALL NOTICE, AND WE'RE INCREASINGLY FRUSTRATED, IRRITATED, AND UNIMPRESSED. BY NOW, TOYOTA SHOULD HAVE 1. KEPT US UPDATED ABOUT FIXES, AND 2. OFFERED US A LOANER VEHICLE, SINCE OUR USE OF OUR CAR IS SO LIMITED BY THE RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL - MY COMPLAINT IS THAT I'VE BEEN TOLD NOT TO USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE AIRBAG IS REPLACED. I CALLED MY TOYOTA/SCION DEALER AND THEY HAVE NO DATE WHEN THE REPAIR CAN BE MADE BUT IT MAY BE MONTHS. SO MEANTIME I'M STUCK WITH A CAR WITH LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY SINCE I CAN'T CARRY A PASSENGER OR EVEN PUT HEAVY OBJECTS ON THE SEAT (AS THAT WOULD ACTIVATE THE AIRBAG). AND GIVEN THIS LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY AND AGE OF CAR, IF I TRIED TO SELL IT NOW, UNDER THIS RECALL, THE RESALE VALUE IS BEING HURT. I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH THE TIME IT IS GOING TO TAKE TO GET MY VEHICLE BACK TO NORMAL. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO MAKE TOYOTA ACT FASTER OR COMPENSATE US FOR THE INCONVENIENCE?
I RECEIVE A RECALL LETTER FOR MY AIR BAG. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP ABOUT FIVE MONTHS A GO AND WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TO WAIT FOR TOYOTA TO SEND ME A NOTIFICATION. I HAVE NOT RECEIVE ANY NOTIFICATION FROM THEM. I THINK THAT FIVE MONTH TO WAIT FOR THEM TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IS UNACCEPTABLE.

TAKATA RECALL-- RECVD NOTICE OF RECALL IN AUGUST 2016. CALLED BEAMAN PONTIAC IMMEDIATELY AND PART WAS NOT IN. TO THIS DAY PART IS NOT IN. MY SON IS DRIVING THIS CAR AND IS 24 SO HE CANNOT HAVE A RENTAL. HE DRIVES ALL THE TIME FOR HIS JOB AND HAS HIS WIFE WITH HIM MOST OF THE TIME. SHE IS NOT GOING TO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT ALL THE TIME. SHE COULD BE KILLED IF A WRECK OCCURRED. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE.
TAKATA RECALL WAS NOTIFIED OF AIRBAG DEFECT IN JULY 2016. IT IS JANUARY 2017 AND NO REPLACEMENT OR SOLUTION HAS BEEN OFFERED. RECALL RECOMMENDATION WAS TO HAVE UNOCCUPIED PASSENGER FRONT SEAT UNTIL AIRBAG IS FIXED. THIS IS A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE FOR A FAMILY VEHICLE. A CALL TO TOYOTA THIS MORNING RESULTED IN NO ETA FOR THE FIXING OF THIS PART. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.

I AM MAKING CAR PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO DRIVE. WHAT IS GOING TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS? I THINK I NEED THE DEALERSHIP TO GIVE ME A NEW CAR AND GIVE ME WHAT I HAVE PAID INTO MY CAR FOR THE LAST 8 MONTHS, ON TOP OF WHAT THE VEHICLE IS WORTH PRIVATE PARTY. WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG? IT IS AN INCONVENIENCE THAT I CANNOT HAVE A FRONT PASSENGER. THIS SITUATION SHOULD BE FIXED BY PROVIDING EVERYONE A SAFE RENTAL CAR UNTIL THERE CAN BE A SOLUTION TO THE UNSAFE CONDITIONS.

"TAKATA RECALL" WE RECEIVED A RECALL ON OUR TAKATA AIRBAGS THE DAY OF MY ACCIDENT. I CAME TO A STOP ON THE STREET AND ONE CAR WAS GOING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER CAR. CAUSING DAMAGE TO ME AND MY PASSENGER. FOR SOME REASON THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION EITHER WAY. WE COULD'VE BEEN BOTH SEVERELY INJURED AND THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T DEPLOY WE WAS STILL INJURED. I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE ON A PAYMENT, I BOUGHT THE FULL SERVICE PACKAGE FOR THE VEHICLE AND OUR VEHICLE WAS NEVER FIXED PROPERLY OVER THE COURSE OF 6+ MONTHS THAT TOYOTA HAD THE VEHICLE. NO WE HAVE A VEHICLE THAT WE ARE UNCERTAIN ABOUT DRIVING BECAUSE IT CAN HARM ME, MY WIFE AND MY SON WHILE WE ARE ALL IN THE CAR. WE FEEL THAT THE TAKATA AIRBAGS ARE NOT IN JUST THE PASSENGER SIDE BUT ITS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND THE WHOLE CAR. SO WE ARE STILL DRIVING IN FEAR. WE ALSO HAVE A LIMITED EDITION SCION, 849 OF 2500 MADE IN THE US.

TAKATA RECALL: RECEIVED NOTICE OF THIS RECALL JUNE 2016, TOYOTA DEALER WE BOUGHT FROM STILL CANNOT MAKE REPAIRS/REPLACE AIRBAGS. IT IS A MAJOR DANGER AND INCONVENIENCE TO NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE. THEY AND TOYOTA SEEM UN-INTERESTED IN GETTING THIS DONE AND SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE LOSS OF USE. IF IT CANNOT BE REPPAIRED IN A TIMELY MANNER THEY SHOULD PROVIDE A LOANER OR REPLACEMENT VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL-RECEIVED NOTICE OF AIRBAG RECALL IN JUNE 2016. IT IS NOW FEBRUARY 2017 AND ON 2/24/2017 I CALLED THE HOTLINE TO INQUIRE WHEN THE PROBLEM WOULD BE SOLVED. THE REMEDY THAT THE NOTICE GAVE US WAS NOT TO HAVE ANYONE SIT IN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THIS HAS BECOME A PROBLEM FOR US AS THIS IS NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. I WAS INFORMED THAT NO REMEDY HAS BEEN FOUND YET. SINCE JUNE 2016 I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS MAILINGS FROM TOYOTA OFFERING TO BUY BACK MY CAR AT A LOW PRICE. IT SEEMS LIKE TOYOTA WANTS US TO EITHER TURN IN OUR CAR FOR A NEW VEHICLE OR WAIT UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS TOO OLD TO FIX. WHEN WILL THIS PROBLEM BE RESOLVED. A TEMPORARY FIX SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN PLACE WHEN THE ORIGINAL NOTICES WERE SENT BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD GIVE US A LOANER. I AM SURE THAT THIS WOULD NOT BE THE CASE ESPECIALLY WHEN NO REPAIR IS EVEN AVAILABLE. CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE WHEN THE REMEDY WILL BECOME AVAILABLE??

TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL JUNE 2016. A YEAR LATER I HAVE STILL NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THIS RECALL. THIS IS MY PRIMARY CAR AND I HAVE TO DRIVE MY KIDS IN THIS CAR. MY DAUGHTER IS NOW A NEW DRIVER AND SHE HAS TO DRIVE THIS CAR. THE RECALL STATES " UNTIL THE REMEDY BECOMES AVAILABLE WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH AN OCCUPANT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. I HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AS WE ARE A FAMILY OF FOUR. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH ME OR MY KIDS IN THIS CAR AND I THINK A YEAR IS PLENTY OF TIME TO HAVE A FIX. I AM VERY UNHAPPY THAT TOYOTA HAS NOT HAD A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM.
