FRONT WINDSCREEN SPONTANEOUSLY CRACK WITH NO IMPACT.
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AFTER ONLY 10 DAYS AFTER THE PURCHASE,THE SMALLEST ROCK YOU CAN SEE WITH YOUR EYES HIT ON THE LEFT DOWN DRIVER CORNER AND THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED AT THE SAME PLACE WITH VERY UNRECOGNIZABLE CRACK.AFTER JUST 5 MINUTES THE CRACK WENT ALL THE WAY TO HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD.
POWER LIFT GATE OPEN WHILE PARKED DURING ALL-DAY SPORTING EVENT (TOTAL OF 8 HOURS). NO OTHER DOORS OPEN, NO AUXILIARY USE OF BATTERY WAS IN USE, BATTERY WAS DEAD AND I WAS LEFT STRANDED IN PARKING LOT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS AT STAND STILL AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, WHEN HE HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND SAW THE WINDSHIELD START TO CRACK FROM PASSENGER SIDE INTO THE CENTER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,706.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU FORESTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, A ROCK HIT HIS WINDSHIELD WHICH FORMED CRACK DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK THEN SPREAD TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE SIZE OF THE OBJECT SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO CRACK AND FELT THAT THE MATERIAL WAS NOT SAFE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE CONTACT HAD THE WINDSHIELD REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED MID HUDSON SUBARU (1715 U.S. 9, WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY 12590) ABOUT THE FAILURE BUT THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,752.
ON JUNE 16TH, 2020 MY VEHICLE WAS STRAIGHT IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. RANDOMLY, A CRACK APPEARED ON THE DRIVER SIDE PART OF THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THIS, BUT THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT GIVE ME COVERAGE FOR THIS INCIDENT. *TR
WINDSHIELD CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS WITH NO CRACK OR ROCK CHIP. THERE IS LESS THAN 5K MILES ON IT.
VEHICLE WAS ENTERING ONTO HIGHWAY AND A SMALL PEBBLE STRUCK TOP MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD, CAUSED A L SHAPED CRACK TO FORM BEHIND REAR VIEW MIRROR AND EXTENDING TO THE LEFT(INSIDE VIEW), ABOUT 10 - 15 IN LONG. THE VEHICLE IS LESS THAN A MONTH OLD, AND I HAVE NOTICED OTHERS HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH SUBARU WINDSHIELDS EASILY CRACKING ON NEW FORESTER MODELS. SAFETY RISK, WINDSHIELD GLASS NOT BEING DURABLE UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. *TR
MY WINDSHIELD CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS WHILE STATIONARY, PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN BEFORE IN ANY CAR I'VE EVER OWNED. I NEEDED TO CALL MY INSURANCE TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT. *TR
WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE, A ROCK FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE HIT THE WINDSHIELD IN WHAT NORMAL IS A SMALL ROCK CHIP WAS AN IMMEDIATE 10' CRACK TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE ORIGINAL ROCK IMPACT IS NOT DEEP AND EXTREMELY TINY BUT IT CAUSED A CRACK THAT ENDED UP BEING A FULL WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT WITH EYESIGHT. EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A ROCK CHIP REPAIR. VERY UPSET SINCE SUBARU OF AMERICA DID NOT DO AS MUCH AS I THOUGHT THEY WOULD FOR A 9 YEAR SUBARU OWNER AND FOUR SUBARU'S LATER. THIS WINDSHIELD (LOANER) ADDED TO MY ENGINE REPLACEMENT COST FROM MY CURRENT SUBARU. *TR
CHIPS/CRACKS IN WINDOW. MULTIPLE SMALL CHIPS FROM PEBBLES/DEBRIS/SALT FROM SALT TRUCKS. A DIME SIZED CRACK THAT HAD TO BE SEALED AND FIXED. I DON'T HAVE THE EXACT DATE ON HAND BUT IT WAS COVERED THROUGH GEICO INSURANCE AND FIXED THROUGH AUTO SAFE GLASS REPAIRS
IN THE MORNING, GOT INTO THE CAR AND FOUND THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAD A CRACK COMING FROM THE BOTTOM PASSENGER SIDE TOWARD THE DRIVER SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. *TR
SITTING AT STOP LIGHT . LIGHT TURNED GREEN I STARTED THRU THE INTERSECTION AND HEARD A SNAP. WIFE MADE COMMENT THAT A STAR HAD FORMED ON THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BELOW FIELD OF VISION. NO CARS WERE IN FRONT OF ME AND CARS WERE AT LEAST 10 FEET AWAY FROM ME GOING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. SPEED HAD NOT RESUMED TO THE SPEED LIMIT OF 40 MPH (ABOUT 20 MPH). *TR
NO ROCK HAD HIT THAT SIDE OF THE WINDOW. I PARK AT A BBQ ON THE SIDE OF A RESIDENTIAL ROAD, NO CARS DRIVE PAST, AND THREE HOURS LATER I HAVE A TWO FOOT CRACK IN MY WINDOW. BEST PART, TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND HE USED HIS PHONE CAMERA TO ZOOM IN AS FAR AS POSSIBLE TO SAY IT WAS A ROCK CHIP AND THEN PICKED AT IT TO MAKE IT LOOK EVEN MORE SO. *TR
I LEASED MY 2020 FORESTER END OF MARCH AND MEMORIAL DAY DROVE TO MY SISTER'S HOUSE 20 MILES AWAY. IT RAINED AS SOON AS I LEFT MY HOUSE. WHEN IT WAS RAINING ON ME ALL THE SAFETY FEATURES STOPPED WORKING! LANE ASSIST/ LANE DEPARTURE. ISN'T THAT WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST. I COULD BEARLY SEE THE ROAD IN FRONT OF ME AND NO SAFETY FEATURES WORKING! AS SOON AS IT STOPPED THEY MAGICALLY CAME BACK ON. ALSO WHEN I USE THE CRUISE CONTROL THE LANE ASSIST FEATURE GOES INTO HIGH GEAR. IT PUSHES THE VEHICLE TO THE CENTER LINE EXTREMELY HARD. MORE SO THAN NORMAL. NOT AT ALL PLEASED WITH THIS VEHICLE. I HAD HEARD SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT SUBARU BUT AM NOT EXPERIENCING THEM FIRST HAND. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE AT THE END OF MY LEASE AND WILL GET OUT OF THE LEASE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. *TR
BATTERY DIED 3 TIMES AND THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 5000 MILES THE VEHICLE WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY AND USUALLY DRIVEN AT LEAST EVERY OTHER DAY ALSO, IT SEEMED LIKE IT JERKED FORWARD A FEW TIMES WHEN I STARTED IT. IT HAS A PUSH BUTTON START. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PUENTE HILL SUBARU LOCATED AT 17801 GALE AVE, CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA 91748, WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF IMPACT TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,417.
MY WIFE AND I WENT ON A RIDE (SUBURBAN DRIVING, SLOW SPEEDS). IT WAS < THAN A 20-MINUTE TRIP. WHEN WE GOT BACK WE NOTICED A SMALL DING AT THAT BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD NEAR THE HOOD. IT SPREAD VERY QUICKLY. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 1600 MILES ON IT SINCE THE END OF DECEMBER 2019. IT NOW MID-MAY AND THIS ALREADY HAPPENED WITH LIMITED USE. THE CAR IS STORED IN A GARAGE WHEN IT IS NOT IN USE. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT WE NEED TO PAY $1300 FOR A NEW WINDSHIELD.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED OVERNIGHT IN DRIVEWAY. WAS STATIONARY. *TR

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO GLASS REPAIR SHOP WHERE ONE FRACTURE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, SEVERAL OTHER FRACTURES OCCURRED AFTERWARDS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO SUBARU OF PUEBLO (2125 US-50, PUEBLO, CO 81008, (719) 545-9955) WHO WAS UNABLE TO EXPLAIN WHY THE FRACTURES CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3.
The contact owns a 2020 Subaru Forester. The contact stated that upon entering her vehicle, she noticed that a crack had formed on the bottom passenger side of the windshield without incident. Over time, the crack had spread to the driver's side of the windshield which obstructed her vision while driving. The contact was informed by the dealer that her vehicle would not be covered under warranty and that there were no recalls on her vehicle. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The windshield had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000. The VIN was not available.

AN HOUR LATER, A 14'' CRACK BEGAN TO FORM AT THE EXACT SPOT WHERE THE INSECT MADE IMPACT WITH THE WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO SUBARU OF ONTARIO (1195 AUTO CENTER DR, ONTARIO, CA 91761) WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TO HAVE THE WINDSHIELD REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE QUALITY OF THE WINDSHIELD WAS UNSAFE AND COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS SPOUSE WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, A SMALL OBJECT HIT THE UPPER LEFT-HAND CORNER OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD CAUSING A CRACK IN THE VIEW OF THE DRIVER. THE CONTACT CONTACTED SUBARU OF EL CAJON (900 ARNELE AVE, EL CAJON, CA 92020, (619) 440-0404) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE WINDSHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT WINDSHIELD WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE, IT WAS STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WAS MANUFACTURED WITH A THINNER GLASS AND IT WAS COMMON FOR FRACTURE TO OCCUR WITH LITTLE TO NO IMPACT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 4,000.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON WITHIN MONTHS OF OWNING THE BRAND NEW CAR. THE CRACK SEEMED TO COME OUT OF NOWHERE WHILE THE CAR WAS STATIONARY IN MY GARAGE OVER NIGHT, AND GRADUALLY GREW MUCH BIGGER OVER TIME.
STRESS CRACK STARTING UNDER THE SEAL OF THE WINDSHIELD. CAR WAS GOING 15 MPH IN A HOUSING NEIGHBORHOOD.
MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, I EXITING MY WORK AND GOT IN THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED A CHIP IN THE WINDSHIELD THAT WAS NOT PREVIOUSLY THERE. I DROVE STRAIGHT HOME, AFTER PARKING IN THE GARAGE THE WINDSHIELD THEN BEGAN TO CRACK AND SPIDER OUT
THE LIFT GATE MOTOR ON MY 2020 FORESTER DOES NOT SHUT OFF WHEN THE LIFT GATE IS OPEN, IT CONTINUES TO CYCLE UNTIL THE BATTERY IS DEAD. SUBARU DEALER SAYS THEY'RE UNAWARE OF THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH A SIMPLE COMPUTER SEARCH FOUND DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. *TR
I NOTICED A CHIP IN MY WINDSHIELD THAT SEEMED TO APPEAR OVERNIGHT IN MY GARAGE. I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY SENT SOMEONE TO FILL IT THE NEXT DAY. WHEN HE CAME TO FILL THE CHIP, HE SAID THAT IT CRACKED AND SPREAD AFTER HE FILLED IT. I THEN NOTICED THERE ARE LITERALLY OVER 10 CHIPS SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE WINDSHIELD NOT INCLUDING THAT ONE. I BOUGHT THIS FORESTER ON OCTOBER 31, 2019 BRAND NEW AND AM A VERY CAUTIOUS DRIVER. THERE IS NO WAY THERE SHOULD BE THIS MANY CHIPS IN MY WINDSHIELD AND FOR THE WINDSHIELD TO CRACK FROM A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN FILLING A VERY SMALL CHIP.
The contact owns a 2020 Subaru Forester. The contact stated that on three separate occasions, a crack had formed on her windshield obstructing her vision. All cracks to the windshield had formed after minor or no impact. The first crack was detected upon the entrance of the vehicle on the lower driver-side corner; the crack had spread from one edge to another. The second crack had formed while the contact was driving at 65 MPH when a pebble struck the passenger’s side windshield at eye level. The crack initially started off as a chip and then formed into a spider web within seconds; the crack then spread horizontally across the windshield within days. The third crack formed without incident on the top edge of the passenger’s side windshield; the crack had formed into a J-like shape right underneath the rear-view mirror. The contact had taken the vehicle to the same dealer for each windshield repair; the repair for the latest failure was not yet performed. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
GOT INTO VEHICLE IN THE MORNING, TURNED ON AC, WINDSHIELD CRACKED WHILE PARKED.
WALKED OUT TO GARAGE THIS MORNING, AND NOTICED THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED. I AM NOT AWARE OF ANYTHING HITTING THE WINDSHIELD, AND THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 3,000 MILES ON IT, PURCHASED IN FEBRUARY 2020.
THERE IS A APPROXIMATELY 2 FT LONG WINDSHIELD CRACK EMANATING FROM THE LOWER DRIVER'S SIDE AND EXTENDING TOWARD THE CENTER OF WINDSHIELD. THE CRACK WAS NOTICED WHILE DRIVING BUT TIME OF ORIGIN IS UNKNOWN. A TINY ROCK CHIP IS LOCATED A FEW INCHES FROM THE START OF THE CRACK AND SEEMS INCONSISTENT WITH THE LENGTH OF THE CRACK, BASED ON PAST EXPERIENCE WITH ROCK CHIPS.
A CHANGE IN SOME 2019-2020 SUBARU MODELS CAUSES AN INCOMPATIBILITY BETWEEN OBD-II DEVICES AND THE SUBARU STARLINK SYSTEM (WHICH IS USED TO DISPATCH EMERGENCY SERVICES IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES). SUBARU SERVICE BULLETIN 15-257-19 11/11/2019 RECOGNIZES THE PROBLEM, BUT DOES NOT OFFER A SOLUTION OTHER THAN TELL THE CUSTOMER NOT TO USE THE OBD-II DEVICE. SINCE THE STARLINK SYSTEM PRIOR TO MODEL YEAR 2019 WAS COMPATIBLE WITH OBD-II DEVICES, IT SEEMS LIKELY THAT A SUBARU INITIATED CHANGE IS CAUSING THIS INCOMPATIBILITY. AS STATED IN THE BULLETIN, IN ORDER TO AVOID HAVING THE CAR NOTIFY THE DEALER EVERY 3 DAYS OF THE PROBLEM, THEY HAVE CHANGED THE NOTIFICATIONS TO ONCE EVERY 10 DAYS. THIS IS NOT SOLVING THE PROBLEM, BUT MERELY PUSHING IT DOWN THE ROAD. SOME CONSIDER STARLINK A SAFETY SYSTEM, AND PAY EXTRA TO HAVE IT AVAILABLE. COPY OF SERVICE BULLETIN ATTACHED. THIS IS A CONTINUING, REPEATED PROBLEM STARTING ON 3/11/2020 AND IS A CONTINUING INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. FIRST DEALER SERVICE ON 3/17/2020 FOUND NO PROBLEM BECAUSE THE ISSUE HAD TEMPORARILY RESOLVED ITSELF. THE SERVICE BULLETIN WAS NOT FOUND BY THE OWNER UNTIL 4/2/2020 AFTER SEVERAL BACK AND FORTH EMAILS WITH SUBARU CUSTOMER SERVICE BEFORE THEN.
2020 SUBARU FORESTER SPORT PURCHASED NEW 3.5 MONTHS AGO. VEHICLE WAS DRIVING ALONG LOCAL HIGHWAY WHEN A ROCK HIT THE WINDSHIELD. IMMEDIATELY THERE WAS A 5 INCH CRACK FORMED DIRECTLY ABOVE THE DRIVER SEAT. OVER THE NEXT 10 MINUTES, THE CRACK EXPANDED DOWNWARD INTO THE DRIVER LINE OF VIEW AND ACROSS THE WIDTH OF THE CAR ANOTHER 10 INCHES. EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND PARKED INSIDE A GARAGE OVERNIGHT, THE CRACK GREW ANOTHER 3 INCHES.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED BY INSURANCE ROUGHLY 5 WEEKS FROM PURCHASE. DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY WHEN SUDDENLY I HEARD A LITTLE SNAP, THAT'S WHEN I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK START TO FORM. GREW TO A LITTLE LARGER THAN THE DIAMETER OF A QUARTER BEFORE MY INSURANCE HAD SOMEONE REPAIR IT 6 DAYS LATER
HAD VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN ONE MONTH AND NOTICED A CRACK ON WINDSHIELD FROM TOP MIDDLE AT REARVIEW MIRROR LEVEL. CRACK WAS 10-12 INCHES BY END OF DAY. NEXT DAY NOTICE SMALL CHIP ON BOTTOM OF WINDSHIELD. BY END OF SECOND DAY THAT CHIP EXPANDED TO14 INCH CRACK FROM BOTTOM MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD. NOW HAVE 12-14INCH CRACK FROM TOP MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD AND 12-14INCH CRACK FROM BOTTOM MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD. I BELIEVE BOTH OF THESE CRACKS TO HAVE ORIGINATED FROM SMALL ROCK STRIKES ON FREEWAY DRIVING, BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH EXTENSIVE DAMAGE FROM WHAT IS CONSIDERED NORMAL HIGHWAY DRIVING AFTER DRIVING FOR LESS THAN 2000 MILES ON VEHICLE.
ANOTHER CHIP IN THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS THE THIRD CHIP IN A MONTH PERIOD, LESS THAN 4000 MILES ON A BRAND NEW CAR. HAD TO HAVE THE CHIP AND LINE/RUN FIXED BY A CERTIFIED REPAIR PERSON WHO EVEN QUESTIONED WHY HE HAD FIXED THE VEHICLE NOW 3 TIMES! I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET TO THE GROCERY STORE, WHICH IS LESS THAN 5 MILES AWAY ROUND TRIP AND THE CHIP HAPPENED. NOTHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD, NO ROCKS, NOTHING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 SUBARU FORESTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT IMPACT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FERGUSON SUBARU (500 W OAKLAND PL, BROKEN ARROW, OK 74012, (918) 438-7684) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WINDSHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,500.
VEHICLE IGNITION IS OFF AND IN PARK. THE SAFETY ISSUE OCCURS WHEN THE REAR TAILGATE IS LEFT OPEN. AFTER 20 MINUTES OF LEAVING THE REAR TAILGATE OPEN, ALL THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TURN OFF CORRECTLY AS A PUBLISHED SAFETY FEATURE TO HELP PREVENT A DEAD BATTERY UPON DEPARTURE. THE USER THINKS EVERYTHING HAS SHUT OFF WHEN THE LIGHTS TURN OFF, HOWEVER, THE REAR TAILGATE ECU DOES NOT TURN OFF OR GO TO A LOW POWER STATE AFTER THE INITIAL 20 MINUTES CAUSING A HIGH DRAIN ON THE BATTERY. THE HATCH ECU CONTINUES TO DRAW IN EXCESS OF 4 AMPS WHILE THE HATCH IS LEFT OPEN, CAUSING A DEAD BATTERY IN AS LITTLE AS A FEW HOURS. THE USER CAN UNKNOWINGLY BE LEFT STRANDED WITH A DEAD BATTERY CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS OVERSIGHT AND ENGINEERING ERROR THAT WILL LIKELY LEAVE MANY PEOPLE UNKNOWINGLY STRANDED WITH A DEAD BATTERY.
WINDSHIELD KEEPS BREAKING. VEHICLE BOUGHT IN NOVEMBER 2019, HAS BEEN REPLACED ONCE, AND IS NOW BROKEN AGAIN. BOTH TIMES, DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY A CRACK STARTS.
WINDSHIELD BROKE FOR NO REASON OUR CAR IS ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD CAR WAS IN THE GARAGE
THIS IS THE SECOND INCIDENT WITH MY WINDSHIELD BEING HIT WITH A ROCK AND CRACKING. THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED 1/18/2020 COMPLAINT #11300348. THE SECOND INCIDENT HAPPENED 2/22/2020. DRIVING ON I5 IN TACOMA, WA A ROCK FROM A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME STRUCK MY WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE LOWER PORTION OF THE WINDSHIELD. THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW ON 11/1/2019 AND NOW HAS TWO CRACKS IN IT. THE FIRST CRACK WAS ATTEMPTED TO BE REPAIRED BUT UNABLE.
February 2020 both rear and front driver side tires (manufacturer provided) ripped potentially after hitting pothole. Dealership replaced 2 tires. November 2020 tire started a slow leak (in 5-7 days)- dealership fixed per manufacturer recommendations, leak continued at a lower pace (in 3-4 weeks)
I NOTICED 4 SMALL CHIPS IN THE WINDSHIELD WHEN I WAS DRYING MY CAR OFF AFTER WASHING IT. I DO HALF MY DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND AM ASSUMING THE CHIPS ARE FROM DEBRIS BEING KICKED UP FROM THE VEHICLE'S IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE HEARD A FEW PINGS ON THE WINDSHIELD BUT DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING AT THE TIMES IT HAPPENED UNTIL TAKING A CLOSER LOOK AFTER DRYING MY CAR.
ON APPROXIMATELY 02/06/2020 I NOTICED A VERY SMALL CHIP IN MY WINDSHIELD. I ASSUMED IT WAS FROM A THROWN STONE, BUT I CAN'T CONFIRM THAT. ON 02/12/2020, I PARKED THE CAR IN A LONG TERM PARKING LOT NEAR DETROIT METRO AIRPORT. WHEN WE RETURNED ON 02/20/2020, THE SMALL CHIP HAD EXPANDED TO A FULL CRACK SPANNING FROM THE EDGE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE TO NEARLY THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE CAR HAD NOT BEEN MOVED, OR EVEN STARTED. IT HAD SAT STATIONARY, IN THE OPEN AIR, IN THIS PARKING LOT WHILE WE WERE AWAY ON VACATION.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED BY SMALL PEBBLE ON 3RD DAY OF LEASE OF CAR. DRIVING APPROX. 30MPH WHEN CAR GOING ONLY A LITTLE FASTER CHANGED LANES AND THREW PEBBLE. ON A PAVED ROAD.
I WAS DRIVING ON A TWO LANE ROAD WITH ONE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND A CAR NEXT TO ME. WITHOUT HEARING ANY IMPACT OR SEEING ANY ROCKS, I NOTICED A CRACK IN THE BOTTOM, MIDDLE OF MY WINDSHIELD. IT WAS ABOUT 6 INCHES LONG WITH NO IMPACT MARK. THE CRACK CONTINUED TO EXPAND BEFORE GETTING FIXED 2 DAYS LATER.
