PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL INTERMITTENTLY TURN OFF AND AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. SEAT IS NOT WET. MY 2012 IMPREZA WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL OF THE PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR BUT I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE AS THIS SENSOR FAILS QUITE OFTEN AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG TURNS OFF EVEN WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THE SEAT.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE, A FEW OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS LIT, ENGINE OIL, ABS, AT, MIL, VEHICLE DYNAMICS. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME, THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL REVEALED A P0700 AND P2764 CODES. UNFORTUNATELY THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE ISSUE BECAUSE IS OVER 100000 MILES. THE ISSUE AS PER MY RESEARCH IS WELL KNOWN TO SUBARU. NOW THE REPAIR IS GOING TO COST ME $2500.00
SUBARU CVT - KNOWN ISSUE MY 2012 SUBARU'S CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE IN MOTION AT 60MPH DRIVING IN THE LEFT HAND LANE OF A BUSY INTERSTATE. THE CAR/ENGINE HAD REGULAR MAINTENANCE AS DIRECTED BY THE MAKER, HOWEVER WITHOUT WARNING THE TRANSMISSION FAILED PUTTING THE DRIVER AND THREE PASSENGER'S LIVES AT RISK. SUBARU HAS ACKNOWLEDGED ISSUES WITH THIS SPECIFIC TRANSMISSION, HOWEVER AN EXTENSION OF THE WARRANTY IS NOT AN APPROPRIATE INTERVENTION WHEN POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENTS COULD OCCUR WITHOUT WARNING. THIS WAS A WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE WITH NO IDENTIFIABLE SIGNS THAT THE TRANSMISSION COULD FAIL. SUBARU SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE FAILING CVT TRANSMISSIONS.
PASSENGER AIRBAG TURNS OFF WHILE THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE CAR. I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED AT JOHN HOWARD SUBARU IN MORGANTOWN, WV. THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND AN ISSUE. IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST THREE TIMES TO ME AS A PASSENGER IN THE CAR. I HAVE ATTACHED TWO PICTURES OF THE LIGHTS WHILE I WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I WASN'T WETTHE INVOICE FROM THE SERVICE APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT CHECKED IS ATTACHED AS WELL. THE LAST OCCURRENCE OF THIS WAS JULY 14, 2019. THANKS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 SUBARU IMPREZA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V149000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). WHILE THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE WAS DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CHECK OIL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
MY VEHICLE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SLIPPING AND THE DEALERSHIP NOTIFIED ME AT 103,923 MILES THAT IT REQUIRES A NEW TRANSMISSION. THIS IS 3,923 MILES OUTSIDE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR A KNOWN TRANSMISSION ISSUE. THE QUOTE I WAS GIVEN TO REPLACE IS $8,900 (MORE THAN THE VALUE OF THE CAR). I NOTIFIED SUBARU CUSTOMER SERVICE TO SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE. THE SAID THEY WOULD ONLY PAY $3,500 AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REST. THIS SEEMS RIDICULOUS CONSIDERING THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE. I HAVE A SMALL CHILD AND I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE IN THE CAR WITH HIM NOW.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND THE CAR STOPPED/STALLED SUDDENLY WHILE IN MOTION, THIS WAS A DANGEROUS SITUATION, DRIVERS BEHIND ME HAD TO REACT TO MY SUDDEN/FULL STOP. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 SUBARU IMPREZA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STOP, IT STALLED, THE ENGINE SHOOK, AND THE RPMS WENT UP AND DOWN. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 135,000.
THE AIRBAG SYMBOL TURNS ON AT ALMOST RANDOM TIMES, INDICATING THAT THERE IS AN ERROR WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. ABOUT 50% OF THE TIME I DRIVE, THE AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHT WILL COME ON AND STAY ON DURING MY DRIVE, WITH A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT. SOMETIMES IF I TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND TURN IT BACK ON, THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL TURN OFF - BUT THERE IS NO CONSISTENT PATTERN. TODAY THE LIGHT CAME ON, I PARKED THE CAR FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON THE LIGHT WAS STILL ILLUMINATED.
1. 5/12/17. RANDOM SURGE FROM STOP OR SLOW SPEED. STOPPED AT LIGHT, GENTLY STEPPED ON GAS TO PULL AHEAD, CAR SURGED HARD AND QUICKLY INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. $1500 DAMAGE TO MY CAR. 2. 1/11/18. STOPPED AT LIGHT, GENTLY STEPPED ON GAS TO PULL AHEAD, CAR SURGED VERY HARD AND QUICKLY INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME, THAT WAS QUITE SOME DISTANCE AWAY! AS I KNEW THE CAR HAS AN ISSUE WITH SURGING. THIS TIME $9500 DAMAGE TO MY CAR, UNKNOWN AMOUNT TO OTHER CAR. STATE FARM SHOULD HAVE TOTALED CAR, SAID INTERIOR WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. SO NOW WE HAVE TO KEEP DRIVING A CAR THAT IS NOT SAFE. 3. 3/5/18 (APPROX) THIS TIME I WENT TO PICK UP MY GRANDSON AT AFTERNOON PROGRAM, THE PARKING LOT ON HILL OVERLOOKING THE SCHOOL. STOPPED TO PARK, NEEDED TO PULL UP A BIT, GENTLY STEPPED ON GAS AND CAR SURGED HARD AND QUICKLY. IF CURB HAD NOT BEEN BIG ENOUGH, I WOULD HAVE WENT DOWN HILL INTO CLASSROOM FULL OF CHILDREN. THE RESPONSE FROM SUBARU HAS BEEN THERE'S NOTHING WRONG, JUST VERY RESPONSIVE GAS PEDAL. BS! I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 40 YEARS WITH NO ACCIDENTS NOW 2 IN 6 MONTHS AND I ALMOST WAS INVOLVED IN A MAJOR TRAGEDY. THIS NEEDS TO STOP NOW BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. MAKE SUBARU RECALL IMMEDIATELY AND FIX THIS ISSUE. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE, I FOUND OUT ONLINE. THE REASON WE BOUGHT A SUBARU WAS FOR SAFETY , NOW IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
LEASED FROM BIZZAROS THE CAR WAS INSPECTED WITH A BROKEN SEAT BELT THERE'S RECALLS THE CAR KEEPS EATING BEARINGS AND HUBS THE CAR IS SIMPLY NOT SAFE AND BIZZAROS TOLD ME NOTHINGNESS IS WRONG WITH IT THE POWER TRAIN BRAKES AND ROTORS AND TIRES WERE FILLED TO 69PSI WHEN GOT IT
PARTIAL LOSS OF ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING AFFECTING ABILITY TO STEER RIGHT. CAR NATURALLY PULLS TO THE LEFT (INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC) DUE TO POWER STEERING ASSIST BEING STRONGER THAT DIRECTION. DEALER INDICATES THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS ISSUE (CRACKED EPS GEAR BOX), SO IT IS KNOWN. BUT THERE HAS NOT YET BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.
2012 IMPREZA SPORT WITH 71,000 MILES, ONE OWNER, ALL MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE PERFORMED. MECHANIC NOTICED INCREASED NOISE FROM REAR OF VEHICLE WHILE DOING TEST DRIVE AFTER PERFORMING MAINTENANCE. REPORTED REAR WHEEL BEARING FAILURE AFTER INSPECTION REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF BEARINGS.
MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBERTKC19 - NHTSA RECALL NUMBER19V009000. VARIOUS SUBARU DEALERSHIPS ARE BOOKED THROUGH OCTOBER '19, AND JANUARY '20 IN THE MA AREA. THIS IS FORCING PEOPLE TO DRIVE WITH DEFECTIVE VEHICLES FOR FAR TO LONG. THE ONLY INFORMATION I COULD GET OUT OF THE PHONE REPS WAS THAT THEY ARE LIMITED TO HOW MANY OF THESE RECALLS THEY CAN PERFORM A DAY. THERE SHOULD BE NO LIMITS. IT'S UNSAFE FOR THE WAIT TIME TO BE 6 TO 9 MONTHS TO GET THE REPAIR FIXED.
LOST THROTTLE CONTROL ON THE HIGHWAY(THROTTLE DISCONNECTED?) DOING 60+MPH, CAR BEHIND ALMOST HIT ME. CODE SHOWS A FAULTY PEDAL POSITION ASSEMBLY.
HIT A BUMP AND DASHBOARD LIT UP WITH SENSOR LIGHTS. SUBARU REPAIR SHOP INSPECTED WITH CODES AND SAID I NEED A NEW VALVE BODY FOR $1700. THE WARRANTY EXTENSION FOR THIS ENDED JULY 2018, BUT I NEVER RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FROM SUBARU OR FROM MY SUBARU DEALER REGARDING THIS KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE CVT.
I RECEIVED A DECEMBER 2018 RECALL NOTICE FOR RECALL WTY-84, NHTSA ID 18V-772. WHEN I CALLED MY DEALER, NORTHTOWN SUBARU, AMHERST NY, THEY TOLD ME TO CALL BACK IN LATE FEBRUARY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTS YET. NOW WHEN I CALLED (3/4/2019) THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE TOOLS FOR THE REPAIR. THEY SAID TRY AGAIN IN APRIL. THE RECALL NOTICE SAID THE RECALL SERVICE SHOULD BE PERFORMED "IMMEDIATELY". IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE STALLING SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. I EXPECT WHEN I CALL IN APRIL THEY WILL HAVE SOME OTHER EXCUSE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF OTHER SUBARU DEALERS ARE MAKING THE REPAIRS AND IF ANY ARE NEAR THE 14221 ZIP CODE. WHAT CAN A CAR OWNER DO IF THE DEALERS REFUSE TO MAKE RECALL REPAIRS?
SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. (SUBARU) IS RECALLING CERTAIN 2012-2014 SUBARU IMPREZA, 2012-2013 IMPREZA STATIONWAGON, 2013 SUBARU BRZ, XV CROSSTREK AND TOYOTA SCION FR-S VEHICLES. THE ENGINE VALVE SPRINGS IN THESE VEHICLES MAY FRACTURE CAUSING AN ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR A POSSIBLE ENGINE STALL. CONSEQUENCE AN ENGINE STALL CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WITH THE ENGINE ON AND OFF; WHILE IN MOTION AND ALSO WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE CENTER DASH REMAINS ILLUMINATED "OFF" ALSO, THE AIRBAG SYMBOL TURNS ON AT ALMOST RANDOM TIMES, INDICATING THAT THERE IS AN ERROR WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL CONSUMPTION WAS HIGH AND THE VEHICLE EXCEEDED THE MILEAGE FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED METROWEST SUBARU AT (508) 651-2000 (LOCATED AT 948 WORCESTER ST, NATICK, MA 01760) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY COULD ONLY PERFORM TWO REPAIRS PER WEEK. THE CONTACT HAD TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SEPTEMBER OF 2019. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE IMPREZA CONSUMES A LOT OF OIL. BETWEEN 800-1200 MILES IM HAVING TO TOP IT OFF. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH IT SHUTTING OFF IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTING IT IN MY DRIVEWAY. I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO IDEAS. NO LIGHTS TURN ON TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON. IT'S THROWING NO CODE EITHER.
SUMMARY: OUR 'VALVE SPRINGS' RECALL ('SUBARU RECALL WTY-84. NHTSA ID 18V-722. DEC. 2018') TOOK FIVE WEEKS TO COMPLETE ARE DAMAGED OUR VEHICLE. A MANDATORY RECALL REPAIR SHOULD 'FIRST DO NO HARM', BUT OUR CAR WAS RETURNED TO US IN SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE CONDITION THAN WHEN WE LEFT IT WITH THE DEALER WHO PERFORMED THE WORK. THIS DEALER IS REFUSING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE, AND WE ARE NOW IN A POSITION WHERE WE MUST SELL THE VEHICLE, SEVERAL YEARS SOONER THAN PLANNED. TIME LINE: 4 FEB. 2019: DROPPED THE VEHICLE AT STEVENS CREEK SUBARU IN SANTA CLARA, CA. AT THIS TIME, OUR VEHICLE HAD NO NOTICEABLE PROBLEMS ' NO OIL LEAKS ON OUR GARAGE FLOOR, NO BURNING SMELLS, AND NO FUNNY NOISES. 7 MARCH 2019: CALLED BY DEALER AND ASKED IF I WISHED TO SPEND 'SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS' TO REPAIR ENGINE LEAKS THEY CLAIM TO HAVE HAD FOUND. I POINTED OUT THAT THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF OIL LEAKS WHEN I BROUGHT IN THE CAR, AND THAT I EXPECTED OUR CAR BACK IN AT LEAST AS GOOD CONDITION AS WHEN I DROPPED IT, BUT WITH THE RECALL ADDRESSED. CONCERNED THAT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TROUBLE, I EMAILED TO THE DEALER A PHOTO OF MY GARAGE FLOOR SHOWING NO EVIDENCE OF OIL DRIPPINGS (ATTACHED). 9 MARCH 2019: PICKED UP MY VEHICLE. IMMEDIATELY NOTICED STRONG BURNING SMELLS, AND OIL DRIPPINGS BEGAN TO APPEAR ON THE FLOOR. 16 MARCH 2019: CONTACTED DEALER AND ARRANGED FOR THEM TO INSPECT VEHICLE. OPENED CASE NUMBER 1-41918146136 WITH SUBURU. E-MAILED PHOTOS OF GARAGE FLOOR, NOW WITH OIL DRIPPINGS (ATTACHED.) 20-22 MARCH 2019: DEALER PERFORMED A COMPLEMENTARY REPAIR TO 'RESEAL THE PASSENGER SIDE VALVE COVER'. 22 MARCH 2019: SYMPTOMS NOT IMPROVED. WIFE REPORTED HEARING NEW SOUNDS. SINCE THEN: DEALER CLAIMS THE PROBLEMS WERE PREEXISTING, DESPITE THE FACT THAT THERE WERE NO SYMPTOMS BEFORE THE RECALL WORK, AND ARE REFUSING TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM.
SUBARU RECALL. I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL ABOUT ISSUE WITH ENGINE VALVE SPRINGS ON MY CAR. I CALLED THE SUBARU DEALER AND ALSO WALK IN TO THE DEALER. THEY REFUSED TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR FOR ME. THEIR REASON WAS THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS YET. THEY WILL PUT MY CAR IN THE WAITING LIST. THAT WAS ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO AND THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME BACK. WHATEVER THEY REASON THEY GAVE ME, THEY FAILED TO ADDRESS THEIR OBLIGATION. THE SUBARU DEALER I CONTACTED WAS MICHAEL'S SUBARU OF BELLEVUE. 888-418-0142
SUBARU RECALL FOR A FAULTY ENGINE PART IS PENDING REPAIR FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS. I CAN HEAR THE ENGINE SOUND CHANGE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IDLING WHICH I THINK IS DUE TO THE ISSUE CAUSING THE RECALL. I AM WORRIED FOR MY FAMILY ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE.
I WAS AT A STOP AT AN INTERSECTION ABOUT TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY REAR WINDOW SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED AND BROKE. I LOOKED TO SEE IF A CAR HAD HIT ME AND THEIR WAS NO CAR THERE. I PULLED OVER TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE AND LOOKED FOR A ROCK OR STONE. NOTHING WAS THERE, THE REAR WINDOW JUST BROKE ON IT'S OWN. I WAS USING MY REAR DEFROSTER AT THE TIME. IT WAS STRANGE AND I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A FAULT FROM THE FACTORY. I HAVE READ THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE IN THE PAST WITH SUBARU. THE REAR GLASS HAD NO CHIPS OR CRACKS PRIOR TO THIS SPONTANEOUS DAMAGE.
SUBARU HAS SENT A RECALL FOR THE ABOVE VEHICLE. THE RECALL NUMBER IS WTY-84 / NHTSA ID 18V-772 (DECEMBER 2018). I WAS TOLD BY MY LOCAL DEALER THAT THE NEXT AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT IS IN SEPTEMBER, 2020. I THEN CALLED THEIR RECALL HOTLINE AND WAS TOLD THAT PARTS HAVE NOT YET BEEN SENT TO DEALERS, THAT A SECOND LETTER WILL BE SENT TO OWNERS AFTER DEALERS HAVE RECEIVED THEM, AND THAT I COULD THEN GET IN IMMEDIATELY. HOWEVER, THEY CANNOT SAY WHEN THAT WILL BE. THIS IS AN ENGINE PROBLEM THAT CAN CAUSE A STALL WHILE DRIVING. THE LETTER SENT BY SUBARU IS CLEAR ABOUT THIS BEING A POTENTIAL DANGER. THE DEALER ONLY TOLD ME THAT, IF THE ENGINE STALLED, THEY WOULD PICK ME UP AND GIVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE. THEY ADDED THAT THAT ANY STALL WOULD HAPPEN GRADUALLY AND I WOULD NOT BE INJURED. NEEDLESS TO SAY (PERHAPS), MY CONCERNS ABOUT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE ARE NOT ASSUAGED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD MANY DIFFERENT THINGS BY SUBARU, AND THEY DON'T FIT TOGETHER. PASSENGER AIR BAG TURNS OFF WHILE OCCUPANT IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. ALSO SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN I PLUG MY PHONE CHARGER INTO THE CAR. ALONG WITH AIR BAG LIGHT GOING OFF, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN THE CAR POWERED DOWN WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING OR STATIONARY.

THE AIRBAG SENSOR DOES NOT DETECT THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER DURING TRAVEL. THE PASSESGER AIRBAG DISPLAY IS ON AT THE START BUT THEN SWITCHES TO OFF WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING, AFTER AROUND 20 MINUTES OR MORE OF DRIVING. SO FAR, RESTARTING THE CAR HAS PUT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG BACK ON, BUT THIS REQUIRES THE DRIVER TO FIND A SAFE PLACE TO STOP AND RESTART THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED TWICE IN JUNE, ONCE IN JULY, AND NOW TWICE THIS WEEK (BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER). IN JUNE AND JULY WE WERE ON AN INTERSTATE GOING 70 MPH. THIS WEEK WE WERE DRIVING IN TOWN AT 40 MPH. THE CAR WAS MOVING STRAIGHT AT THE TIME. THE SEAT WAS NOT WET.

HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR OVER A YEAR AND WE HAVE PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED CAR, BUT ON RECENT TRIP IT WAS MUCH WORSE. AND SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING ANYWAY!

THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM. WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT RIGHT SEAT THE AIRBAG SIGN WILL SAY PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF. THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING OR STATIONARY.

THE PASSENGER SIZE OCCUPANCY SENSOR IS FAULTY, WHEN YOU HAVE A CELLPHONE IN YOUR HAND OR TOUCH THE METAL DOOR IT TURNS THE AIRBAG OFF AND THEN DOES NOT TURN IT BACK ON UNTIL A KEY CYCLE.
WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY FAILED RENDERING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE FOR HIGHWAY OPERATION. WHEN ATTEMPTING THE (SUBARU) RECOMMENDED REPAIR THE OEM PART WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE BY SUBSTITUTED BY AN ALTERNATIVE PART FOR THIS CRITICAL REPAIR. WE HAVE RETAINED THE ORIGINAL PART FOR INSPECTION.
WE WERE BROADSIDED (T-BONED) IN AN INTERSECTION WITH TRAFFIC LIGHTS. WE WERE EASTBOUND GOING 25MPH & HAD JUST LEFT HOME. TWO BLOCKS FROM MY HOME AS I PROCEEDED THROUGH THE GREEN LIGHT AND BAM SHE HIT MY DRIVER SIDE. RECESSING MY FRONT TIRE 3 OR MORE INCHES IN TOWARDS MY ENGINE. SHE WAS TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND ON THE INTERSECTING ROAD. SHE MUST HAVE BEEN TRAVELING 25 MPH OR MORE BECAUSE DAMAGE CONTINUED ALL THE WAY DOWN THE DRIVER SIDE (BOTH DOORS) FINISHING ON MY REAR TIRE WHERE IT BENT IT INWARDS AS IF IT WAS A STEERING TIRE MAKING A TURN. THE REAR TIRE HAS A LARGE GASH IN THE SIDE WALL. THE FOLLOWING WHERE MY WIFE'S INJURIES AS SHE WAS DRIVING: ACUTE CERVICAL MYOFASCIAL STRAIN, CERVICAL STRAIN, CLOSED HEAD INJURY, DYSARTHRIA, ELBOW CONTUSION, HEADACHE, MUSCLE TENSION HEADACHE, POST CONCUSSION SYNDROME, AND SHOULDER CONTUSION. SHE RECEIVED ALL THESE INJURIES BECAUSE THE SIDE IMPACT AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHICH HAS TO BE A MAJOR MANUFACTURING FLAW OF SOME TYPE. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THIS HAPPENED. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER HAS TOTALED MY WIFE'S CAR. IT IS A 2012 SUBARU IMPREZA PREMIUM. I HAVE INCLUDED SOME DOCUMENTS/PHOTOS.
MY ENGINE BURNS THROUGH OIL RAPIDLY EVERY 800 TO 1300 MILES I NEED AN OIL CHANGE. THIS ISSUE IS EXASPERATED WHEN THE WEATHER IS WARM. I ONCE BURNED THROUGH A WHILE QUART OF OIL AFTER 600 MILES WHEN TRAVELING. SUBARU DEFINES AN ENGINE ISSUE IF IT IS UNDER 2000 MILES. BUT THEY WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY ENGINE FAILED THE TEST AND THAT THEY HAD ORDERED PARTS. WHEN I CALLED BACK TO SEE WHEN PARTS WOULD BE IN BECAUSE I HAD GONE IN TWICE IN THE SPAN OF 2 MONTHS FOR OIL TOP OFFS THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS NO LONGER GETTING THE PARTS AND THAT WE HAD TO REDO THE TEST. WE REDO THE TEST AND MY OIL LIGHT COMES ON AT 800 MILES, AND THEY TOLD MY MY ISSUE WAS A SENSOR AND THAT THE HISTORY OF MY VEHICLE WAS INVALID. I AM NOW AFRAID THAT MY ENGINE IS GOING TO BLOW UP.
CAR WON'T SHIFT INTO PROPER GEAR HAS A JERKY FEEL CVT WON'T ALLOW TO MANUAL SHIFT ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE GAUGE CLUSTER IS ON INCLUDING THE CHECK ENGINE.
