It took a long time to diagnose the issue and I've been to the Rye Subaru dealership 2 times already and they are still trying to fix the issue. This is my daughters car and I'm constantly waiting for a phone call to have the car jump started. She works the night shift and I'm worried about her getting stranded at night.
catalytic converter plugged at 56,000 miles. cause the catalytic converter to get red hot and melt o2 sensors. this caused the cel to eliminate and make the safety features turn off. I plugged an obd2 reader in to the car and diagnosed the problem. I had to replace the entire catalytic converter assembly under the as well as all of the o2 sensors.
Keep burning oil. I’m being told it’s normal and I know for sure it’s not leaking.
