Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE WINDSHIELD WASHER (WON'T SPRAY) DOES NOT WORK. I THOUGHT I SAW A PREVIOUS RECALL FOR WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER ON THIS VEHICLE??? IT HAS NEVER BEEN REPAIRED/REPLACED. ALSO, THE HIGH BEAMS (EXTERIOR BRIGHT LIGHTS WON'T WORK) I ONLY HAVE LOW BEAMS. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT VISIBILITY WAS REDUCED DURING NIGHT DRIVING DUE TO DIM HEADLIGHTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADJUSTED THE HEADLIGHTS. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED AFTER THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING ON ROADS WITHOUT AMBIENT LIGHTING, THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD ONLY ILLUMINATE A SHORT DISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,500. UPDATED 7/31/13 *CN WHEN ON AN UN-LIT ROAD, USING THE NORMAL HEADLIGHTS, THE TOP HALF TO TWO THIRDS OF THE WINDSHIELD WAS ENTIRELY BLACKED OUT, AN EFFECT SIMILAR TO THAT OF A BLACK CURTAIN DESCENDING OVER THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH MADE IT ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE ANYTHING AHEAD EXCEPT THE IMMEDIATE FEW FEET IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. CURVES ON THE RODS, ANIMALS, PEDESTRIANS, ETC WERE IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE WITH ENOUGH TIME TO REACT. THE DEALER ADJUSTED THE HEADLIGHTS SLIGHTLY UPWARD TO THE LIMIT OF NC LAW, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
