Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)Car makes a startling loud noise like a fog horn a few seconds after starting. Noise is loud enough and unexpected it has caused me to accidently press on accelerator on occasion if I have started moving. Apparently a know problem but fix is only European focused. Fortunately nothing was in front of me when this happened. Happens frequently on first startup but never every time. TSB is BE-00612T-TME Need to force dealers to fix this before an accident does occur.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
