RECALL ON FRAME FROM TOYOTA .TOYOTA HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO HELP FIX THIS PROBLEM REPORTED AND WAS INSPECTED JAN.2018 BY SPARKS TOYOTA .
FRAME WAS INSPECTED AND IT IS RUSTING,
ON 29 NOV. 2017, WHILE DRIVING BACK FROM AN ERRAND, THE AB BRAKE WARNING SYSTEM TURNED ON. AT THAT INSTANCE, I LOST THE BRAKING CAPABILITY OF MY TRUCK. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NEAR MY HOME AND MANAGED TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY, USING THE PARKING BRAKE AND PUMPING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL.
CALLED TOYOTA DEALERSHIP ABOUT A RECALL (REAR LEAF SPRINGS) THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE 2 RECALLS,BUT NOT TOLD TO THE OWNERS-NO NOTICE SENT OUT .THEY SAID THE OTHER RECALL IS THE ROTTING FRAME & IT WOULD BE CHECKED WHEN I BRING IT IN TO HAVE THE SPRINGS REPLACED,WHICH THEY HAD TO ORDER( ALSO THIS HAS BEEN 30 DAYS AGO).(NOTE) THIS TRUCK IS ALL I HAVE TO DRIVE.I CHECKED THE FRAME AND IT IS BAD ! THERE ARE PLACES THAT I CAN POKE MY FINGER THROUGH THE FRAME...IF SOMETHING HAPPENS I WILL COME BACK ON THE GOV. & TOYOTA FOR NOT PUBLICLY AND FORMALLY ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE. I ALWAYS LIKED TOYOTA BUT I WILL PROBABLY NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE.......
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER STEERING KNUCKLE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED, BUT WAS IN THE PROCESS. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED OR MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE & WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A BACK ORDER OF THE PART. AN INSPECTION INDICATED NO IMMEDIATE DANGER SO I WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST FOR THE LEAF SPRINGS & WOULD BE CALLED, BUT MONTHS PASSED &I WASN'T CALLED. I CHECKED MANY TIMES & IN BETWEEN CALLS, THEY GAVE MY PART TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER.WHEN THEY GOT ANOTHER SET, I ARRIVED FOR THE APPT &WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT DO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE LEAF SPRINGS BECAUSE THERE WAS A LIFT BLOCK INSTALLED. I WAS TOLD THE ONLY WAY THAT I CAN HAVE THE RECALL COMPLETED WAS TO PAY TO HAVE THE LIFT REMOVED FROM ANOTHER SHOP & THEN TOYOTA WOULD DO THE RECALL WORK. I PRICED THE COST OF HAVING THE LIFT REMOVED AND WAS TOLD BY THE AFTERMARKET SHOP THAT OTHER TOYOTA DEALERSHIPS WERE DOING THE LEAF SPRING RECALL WORK WITHOUT REQUIRING THE LIFT TO BE REMOVED. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP & THEY STILL SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO THE WORK. I AM UNABLE TO AFFORD THE LIFT REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION, THE MODIFICATION THAT WAS DONE TO THE TRUCK IS A SIMPLE BLOCK THAT IS PUT UNDER THE LEAF SPRINGS SO ALL THAT TOYOTA WOULD NEED TO DO IS THE SAME WORK THEY WOULD ALREADY BE DOING IF THE LIFT WAS NOT PRESENT; THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS REMOVING 1 LIFT BLOCK FROM EACH REAR SIDE, & PUTTING IT BACK WHEN THEY PUT NEW LEAF SPRING ON. I EVEN TOLD THEM I'M WILLING TO SIGN ANY WAIVER NECESSARY. I AM UNABLE TO AFFORD THE WORK THEY ARE SAYING IS MANDATORY BEFORE THEY COMPLETE THE RECALL & AS TIME PASSES I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE INCLUDING THE RUST SPOTS ON THE LEAF SPRINGS. THE DEALERSHIPS THAT ARE WILLING TO DO THE RECALL SAID THEY WILL REPLACE THE LEAF SPRINGS BUT WHEN REASSEMBLING IT THEY WILL NOT PUT THE BLOCK BACK WHICH MEANS MY VEHICLE WOULD BE LIFTED IN THE FRONT BUT NOT IN THE REAR AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE TOWED( UNABLE TO DRIVE IN THAT CONDITION) TO A SHOP TO REDO ALL THE WORK TOYOTA JUST PERFORMED!
I WENT TO THE MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO REMEDY THE SUSPENSION SPRING GAS TANK PUNCTURE RECALL ON MY TOYOTA AND THEY SAID, THEY COULDN'T DO IT CAUSE MY TRUCK HAS A BODY LIFT.
STEERING SEIZED, LATER DETERMINED TO BE A SEVERELY CORRODED INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT U JOINT. WAS TURNING A CORNER AT THE TIME AND WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. LATER LEARNED THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THIS VEHICLE. DEALER TRIED TO LUBRICATE. BUT LATER REPLACED THE SHAFT AS THE JOINT CONTINUED TO BIND.
I HAD MY 2007 TACOMA RACK AND PINION STEERING REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS STIFF AND A RELIABLE MECHANIC RECOMMENDED IT COST OVER 1000 DOLLARS. 90 %FIXED TIMES THE STEERING STICKS AND HAVE TO MUSCLE IT IN CONTROL. I'VE NOW READ IT MIGHT BE THE UNIVERSAL JOINT. AND THERE ARE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THIS. I'VE HAD THE RECALL ON MY FRAME REPLACED. ANY MORE RECALLS I HATE TO SEE THIS TRUCK BECOME A MONEY PIT.
THE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT BROKE WHILE DRIVING ON HWY 2 AT 60 M.P.H. (WASHINGTON STATE). THE DRIVELINE FLAILED AROUND AND DAMAGED THE EXHAUST PIPE AND THE METAL BRACKET COMMON TO THE FUEL TANK. THIS IS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA 4WD. I FOUND A SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM NHTSA # 07V324000 THAT STATES THE PROPELLER SHAFT WAS INCORRECTLY CAST AND COULD SNAP (JUST LIKE THIS ONE DID). I CALLED TOYOTA AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT BECAUSE MY VIN DID NOT MATCH WITH THIS RECALL. THE PHOTOS I AM UPLOADING SHOWS THE SHAFT BROKEN OFF IN A CLASSIC CASE OF METAL FATIGUE DUE TO IMPROPER CASTING.
THE PAINT IS DEFECTIVE AND PEELING OFF VEHICLE IN MORE THAN ONE LOCATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A HOLE IN THE FRAME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INSTRUCTED THE DEALER TO PROVIDE THE CONTACT WITH A LOANER VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS INVESTIGATED AND THE DEALER WAS WAITING TO HEAR FROM THE MANUFACTURER. IN 2014, THE DEALER SPRAYED THE FRAME DUE TO CORROSION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THERE WAS SMOKE EMERGING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PROCEEDED TO VACATE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FIRE WAS COMING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE BUT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE CONTACT HAD TO BE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE AND DIAGNOSED WITH SMOKE INHALATION AND SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK. THE CONTACT HAD TO STAY HOSPITALIZED FOR EIGHT DAYS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. ...UPDATED 07/10/17 *BF
THERE IS A RECALL CAN'T GET MY TOYATO DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE RECALL GAVE THEM A COPY OF RECALL PAPER THAT I GOT
I CALLED TOYOTA OF SANTA BARBARA TO SCHEDULE THIS RECALL WORK TO REPLACE THE REAR LEAF SPRINGS ON MY TACOMA. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE ON ORDER AND I WOULD BE CALLED WHEN THEY CAME IN. I WEEK OR MORE LATER, I CALLED AGAIN AND TOLD BY A MAN IN THE PARTS DEPARTMENT THAT THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL WERE STILL NOT IN. HE ASKED IF I WANTED TO BE PUT ON THE WAITING LIST FOR THE RECALL SERVICE. I WAS SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT DESPITE MY PREVIOUS CALL I WAS NOT PUT ON THE LIST. THE GUY I SPOKE TO WAS UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR WHEN THE SERVICE COULD BE DONE, AND SAID THE FAULTY LEAF SPRINGS COULD BE USED WITHOUT RISKS. I WAS UNWILLING TO BE SO CAVALIER WITH THE DEFECT AND THE POTENTIAL FOR ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO MY TRUCK. I EXPLAINED THAT WHEN TOWING MY SMALL TRAILER THE SUSPENSION BOTTOMS OUT WHEN HITTING A DIP OR BUMP, EVEN AT SLOW SPEEDS. I AM PLANNING A LONG CAMPING TRIP ACROSS THE WEST AND CANADA AND NEED THIS REPAIRED BEFORE AUGUST 12TH.
MY CHASYS FRAME HAVE RUST AND LOOK LIKE MY MOTOR GOING TO FELL TO THE FLOOR I CALL TOYOTA BUT THE SAY NO OPEN RECALL TO REPLACE MY FRAME, ALSO MY CAR HAVE A LOT VIBRATION ON REAR WENT ACELERATION. BUT TOYOTA DONT WANTE HELP
FOR THE LAST YEAR HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET LOCAL TOYATO DEALERSHIP (HEYWARD ALLEN TOYATO) TO REPAIR THE RECALL KEEP GETTING SAME ANSWER WE HAVE NO PRODUCT WILL CALL YOU WHEN SOME COME IN. THE SAME ANSWER OVER AND OVER. I WANT THIS DONE ASAP. IF SOMETHING HAPPEN TO ME OR MY TRUCK I AM GOING TO SUE HEYWARD ALLEN TOYATO. I DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM IS THERE ANYWHERE ELSE CLOSE THAT I CAN TAKE MY TRUCK. AND I WANT THEM TO PAY FOR MY GAS GETTING THERE WHY? BECAUSE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE 6-9 MONTHS AGO. I HAVE SPOKE WITH FRIENDS AND STRANGERS WHO HAVE HAD THERE'S DONE MONTHS AGO THE SAME TIME THEY WHERE TELLING ME THERE WERE NONE AVAILABLE. THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN SOME CAME AVAILABLE THAT WAS IN MARCH OF 2017.

ON A ROUTINE COMMUTE HOME, I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH IN THE #3 LANE ON THE FREEWAY WHEN I NOTICED I LOST ACCELERATION, BUT THE ENGINE WOULD REV. IT REGAINED ACCELERATION THEN WENT AWAY AGAIN WITH A HARSH SOUND. I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MOVE OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. IT WOULD NOT MOVE IN ANY GEAR AND UPON INSPECTION OF THE UNDERSIDE, SMOKE/STEAM WAS COMING FROM THE DIFFERENTIAL AND IT WAS VERY HOT TO THE TOUCH. THE TOWING COMPANY SPENT AN HOUR TRYING TO PULL IT ONTO THE FLATBED DUE TO BOTH REAR WHEELS BEING LOCKED DESPITE ALL BRAKES BEING OFF AND THE TRANSMISSION BEING IN NEUTRAL. ONCE IT WAS DROPPED OFF AT MY RESIDENCE, I REMOVED THE THIRD MEMBER ASSEMBLY. I DISCOVERED THERE WAS NO FLUID AND THE PINION GEAR LOOKED GROUND DOWN AND THERE WERE METAL FLAKES. IT ALSO APPEARED TO BE LEAKING FROM THE PINION SEAL, SOMETHING I WAS NOT AWARE OF LEADING UP TO THE INCIDENT.
THE FRAME OF THIS TRUCK IS EXTREMELY RUSTED AND HAS BEEN FOR SOME TIME. HAVE SPENT A GREAT DEAL ON PARTS DUE TO THE RUST AND NOW IT IS CONSIDERED AS A DANGEROUS VEHICLE. I HAVE TRIED TO GET TOYOTA'S ATTENTION ABOUT THIS SAFETY ISSUE BUT THEY KEEP TURNING ME AWAY. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT ON THE INTERNET AND FOLKS AROUND MY COMMUNITY WHO OWN THE SAME TYPE VEHICLE IS RUSTED AS WELL. PLEASE! I NEED SOMEONE TO CONTACT TOYOTA ABOUT THIS DANGEROUS ISSUE.

I WARN OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES TO START LOOKING FOR RUST FOR I WILL ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL BE THE FINCIAL LOOSER IN THE LONG RUN OF THING! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE WITHOUT LOOKING ELSEWHERE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS LEAKING. ONCE THE FUEL TANK WAS REMOVED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 137,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
THIS TRUCK HAS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND THE PROBLEM OCCURS WHILE IT IS IN GEAR. IF THE ENGINE IS LOADED AT 50% OF FULL THROTTLE OR MORE (ACCELERATING, GOING UP HILLS, INTERSTATE SPEEDS) IN 4TH OR 5TH GEAR, AND YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE ECM (COMPUTER) CONSISTENTLY HOLDS THE THROTTLE OPEN FOR 10 SECONDS. IN ANY SITUATION WHERE YOU NEED TO STOP QUICKLY (YELLOW LIGHTS, CAR TURNS IN FRONT OF YOU, PEDESTRIAN) AND YOU STEP ON THE BRAKE, THE ENGINE FIGHTS THE BRAKES AND GREATLY INCREASES (>DOUBLES) STOPPING DISTANCE. IN ONE INSTANCE THE REAR WHEELS REPEATEDLY BROKE-FREE, AND IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE VEHICLE GOING STRAIGHT. ON SNOW OR ICE, I EXPECT MAINTAINING CONTROL TO BE IMPOSSIBLE: I'LL SPIN AT THE FIRST APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES. TOYOTA TECHS HAVE EXAMINED THE VEHICLE TWICE AND CONFIRM THAT IT IS THE ECM HOLDING THE THROTTLE OPEN, SUPPOSEDLY "...HELPING THE RPMS TO STAY UP FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME TO HELP WHEN SHIFTING" AND TO MITIGATE EMISSIONS. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HOLD THE THROTTLE OPEN WHEN IN GEAR, BUT I WAS TOLD THE ECM DOESN'T KNOW WHEN THE CLUTCH IS ENGAGED OR WHAT GEAR IT'S IN. ON MY VEHICLE THE NORMAL "SHIFT CYCLE" HAPPENS CORRECTLY BETWEEN ALL THE GEARS AND LASTS ~1 SECOND AS LONG AS YOU DON'T "LOAD" THE ENGINE GREATER THAN ~50%, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. BUT IF YOU DO, THE ECM HOLDS THROTTLE FOR 10 SECONDS WHILE THE TRUCK IS IN GEAR, WHICH IS 880FT AT 60MPH! I HAVE SPOKEN TO TOYOTA SEVERAL TIMES: BRENTON, (800) 331-4331, CASE #1610030909. BRENTON, A SUPERVISOR, CLAIMS THAT THIS IS INTENDED BY DESIGN AND IS SAFE AND REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING. EXCESSIVE RUST ON FRAME OF TRUCK. FRAME COATING/ PROTECTION INSUFFICIENT. TOYOTA RE-COATED THE FRAME ON FEBRUARY 7TH 2015 HOWEVER THE FRAME HAS CONTINUED TO RUST UNABATED AS COATING IS FLAKING OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD SEVERE CORROSION AND THE CHASSIS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR LEAF SPRINGS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V604000 (SUSPENSION) WAS RECEIVED IN OCTOBER 2014. AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I'VE BEEN WAITING ON THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO COMPLETE MY RECALL FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS. THEY TOLD ME, BACK IN AUGUST OF 2016, THAT IT WOULD BE A FEW MONTHS UNTIL THEY GOT THE PARTS IN. I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES TO GET IT DONE BUT NOTHING HAS COME OF IT. THE RECALL IS FOR THE REAR LEAF SPRINGS.
RECEIVED THE NOTICE IN APRIL 2016. WAS TOLD THE PARTS WERE NOT IN STOCK. I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP ON 7-29-2016 AND TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE ON ORDER. ITS BEEN MORE THAN A COUPLE OF MONTHS ON A SAFETY RECALL THAT SEEMS SERIOUS.

CORROSION ISSUES WITH TOYOTA. HAD MY VEHICLE CHASSIS INSPECTED PER A NOTIFICATION RECEIVED IN 2016. DEALER INDICATED "NOMINAL". I VIEWED MY CHASSIS SOON THEREAFTER AND NOTICED METAL SEPARATION. I REPORTED THIS TO TOYOTA.COM AND RECEIVED NOTHING. I NOW HAVE A PIECE OF METAL WHOSE WELD BROKE DUE TO CORROSION. I WAS GIVEN AN UPDATED LETTER BY MY LOCAL INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. I NEVER RECEIVED THIS AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY TREATMENT TO MY CHASSIS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, PARTICULARLY SINCE WELDS ARE BREAKING DUE TO CORROSION. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE JULY 2016. FOR "LIMITED SERVICE CAMPAIGN", MY TACOMA WAS INSPECTED FOR EXCESSIVE RUST HOLES IN IT'S FRAME ON 09/25/2015. THE DEALERSHIP DECLARED THAT MY TRUCK PASSED THIS INSPECTION. ON MY NEXT VISIT ,05/24/2016, FOR A HIGHWAY NOISE PROBLEM & OIL CHANGE, THE DEALERSHIP DECIDED ON THEIR OWN TO RE-INSPECT FOR FRAME RUST AND DECLARED IT HAD FAILED THE FRAME RUST INSPECTION. THEY SAID THE CAMPAIGN WAS OVER AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE FRAME RUST REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP DID THIS INSPECT & RE-INSPECT IN THIS MANNER TO AVOID THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. I FILED COMPLAINT # 1606271989 WITH TOYOTA AND WAS DENIED . I HAVE SERVICE REPORTS #6207015 AND 6240379 THAT DOCUMENT THIS SERVICE AND RESULTS.

THEN IF NEEDED THEY WILL ORDER THE PARTS ("WE DON'T KEEP THEM ON HAND AS THE BOXES ARE TOO BIG") TAKING 2 WEEKS THEN ANOTHER 2 PLUS HOURS TO INSTALL. DRIVING NORMALLY AND APPROACHED A STOPLIGHT WITH A STOPPED TRUCK AHEAD. APPLIED THE BRAKE AND MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. STRUCK THE STOPPED TRUCK WITH PRESSURE STILL ON THE BRAKE AND THE ACCELERATION STOPPED. MINIMAL DAMAGE AND NO INJURY INVOLVED. VERY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO THE TOYATA DEALER( AFRAID TO DRIVE IT) AND THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG.

DUNLOP AT20 P245/75/R16 DOT M670 C8ER 1012, TIRES ARE THE SECOND SET TO BE REPLAED ON MY 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA. FIRST SET FAILED TO MEET THE MANUFACTURES WARRANTY OF 70K MILES WITH ONLY 43K ON TIRES. WERE REPLACED AFTER MUCH HAGELING WITH GOOD YEAR. AFTER PUTTING 23K ON SECOND SET OF TIRES, FOUND ONE WITH A LARGE BUBBLE IN THE OUTER SIDEWALL. IF THIS TIRE WERE TO HAVE BLOWN OUT, A TRUCK THIS SIZE WOULD HAVE LOST CONTROL AND THE POSSIBLITY OF SEVERE INJURIES WERE PRESENT. AGAIN I AM HAGELING WITH GOOD YEAR TO REPLACE THE TIRE, ALTHOUGH DEFECTIVE, I AM EXPECTED TO PAY 43.00 COST TO REPLACE IT. THIS ON A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, AND SHOULD BE AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER.
