THE STEERING WOULD BECOME STIFF AND THEN LOOSE CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL AT BOTH LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. WHEN TRYING TO PARK THE TRUCK FELT LIKE THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. WHEN MAKING TURNS THE STEERING WOULD BE HARD THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN SOFT CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. WHEN TOYOTA WAS CONTACTED I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLETINS. THE LOCAL MECHANIC SAID TO HAVE THE POWER STEERING FLUID FLLUSHED DID THAT NO CHANGE, THEN WAS TOLD TO HAVE THE POWER STEERING PUMP CHANGED AS WELL AS THE RACK. HAD THE POWER STEERING PUMP REPLACED, NO CHANGE. IN RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET I FOUND MULTIPLE REPORTS THAT WERE SIMILAR TO MINE, SOME SPOKE ABOUT THE U JOINT FAILING AND IN SOME CASES THERE WERE REPORTS OF ACCIDENTS OR COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING. HAD THE U JOINT REPLACED AND ALL ISSUES WERE RESOLVED. TOYOTA SAYS THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH THE U JOINTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TACOMA. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE PLASTIC PIECE UNDERNEATH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LOOSENED AND WENT UNDERNEATH THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000. *TR
THE VEHICLES STABILITY CONTROL ENGAGES WHEN TAKING SHARP CORNERS, LIKE CURVY HIGHWAYS. WHEN THE STABILITY CONTROL ENGAGES IT LOCKS THE TIRES UP TRYING TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE VEHICLE FORCING THE VEHICLE INTO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANE OR OFF THE ROAD. I HAVE TO FIGHT THE VEHICLE JUST TO KEEP IT ON THE ROAD UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. IT HAS SCARED SOME OF MY PASSENGERS TO THE POINT THAT THEY WON'T RIDE IN MY VEHICLE ANYMORE. I HAVE HEARD OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER SIMILAR TOYOTA'S IN MY AREA. THIS INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED MANY TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE.
THE STEERING WAS VERY STIFF ON MY TACOMA. I FOUND THAT IT IS DUE TO RUST FORMING ON THE UNIVERSAL JOINT IN THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT. I FOUND ONLINE THAT THIS IS A COMMON/KNOWN ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE, MY DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LINE COMPLETELY BROKE OFF. THIS WAS DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUST. THE TRUCK IS ONLY 8 YEARS OLD. THE TRUCK FRAME HAD BEEN SPRAYED WITH THE ANTI RUST COATING BY TOYOTA A YEAR PRIOR. THE BRAKE LINE WAS NOT COVERED IN THE TOYOTA FRAME RUST RECALL. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS CONDITION AND I HAD NO PRIOR INDICATIONS THAT THE BRAKE LINE WAS FAULTY.
BRAND NEW TIRES THAT ARE SPLITTING ON THE SEEMS.... I CAR POOL DAILY...... 2 OUT OF 4 TIRES ARE SPLITTING BAD TO THE POINT THE MECHANIC'S SUGGESTED NOT DRIVING MY VEHICLE ANYMORE UNTIL REPAIRED. *JS CALLED BF GOODRICH THEY COULD CARE LESS ITS A SAFETY ISSUE AND WANT MORE MONEY TO REPLACE THERE DEFECT.
STEERING SEIZES WHILE DRIVING MAKING IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS I HAVE BEEN STUCK IN A TURNING POSITION WHILE ENTERING TRAFFIC. I NARROWLY AVOIDED BEING STRUCK ON MY DRIVERS SIDE BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
THE SIDEWALLS ON ALL 4 TIRES HAVE SPIDERWEB CRACKS. SOME OF THESE CRACKS ARE MAKING THEIR WAY TO THE TREAD. THE TIRES ARE MICHELIN LTX245/75R16 LRE PURCHASED @ COSTCO 9/06/13, ALL HAVE 9/32S TREAD, AND HAVE BEEN DRIVEN 36,000 MILES. CALLED MICHELIN AND WAS TOLD TO GO TO SEARS FOR AN INSPECTION. SEARS CALLED MICHELIN. I WAS OFFERED 4 NEW TIRES (A GOOD WILL GESTURE) FOR $772.56. THAT IS TWICE AS MUCH I PAID FOR TIRE I'M DRIVING ON NOW. I THINK THAT IF I KEEP DRIVING ON THESE TIRES (THERE IS LOTS OF TREAD LEFT) THE TIRE WILL BLOW -OUT. WE WERE PART OF THE FIRESTONE RECALL IN 1999. I WAS OLD THAT THE CRACKING IS COMMON IN MICHELIN....THAT DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT.
IT SUDDENLY BECAME HARD TO STEER, IT WOULD TURN EASILY (NORMAL EFFORT) PART OF THE WAY, AND FEEL STIFF OR TIGHT PART OF THE WAY. THIS PROBLEM STARTED OFF INTERMITTENTLY BUT THEN BECAME CONSTANT. NOT ONLY WAS IT RISKY MAKING A TURN BECAUSE AT FIRST YOU APPLIED MORE FORCE THAN NORMAL AND SUDDENLY IT BECAME EASIER TO TURN CAUSING OVERSTEER. IT DID NOT WANT TO SEEM TO RETURN TO STRAIGHT WHEN YOU FINISHED THE TURN. THIS PROBLEM WAS THERE WHETHER YOU WENT FAST OR SLOW AND ON ALL SURFACES. WE HAD JUST PAID NEARLY $500 LAST WEEK TO FIX MY OTHER SON'S TACOMA WHEN I DROVE THIS TACOMA AND IT HAS EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS SHOULD PROBABLY SHOULD NEVER GO BAD.
FRAME RUST. THE TRUCK WAS PURCHASED IN A COLD WEATHER STATE AND WAS OPERATED IN A COLD WEATHER STATE FOR 7 YEARS BEFORE IT WAS REGISTERED IN A NON COLD WEATHER STATE. FRAME HAS EXCESSIVE RUST AND HAS BEEN INSPECTED MULTIPLE TIMES BUT THE FRAME 'PASSES.' SINCE THE TRUCK IS NOW NOT IN A COLD WEATHER STATE IT SEEMS TO BE OKAY AND THEY DON'T WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM YET SERVICE ADVISORS SAY THEY WOULDN'T WANT THEIR FRAME TO LOOK LIKE THAT AND URGED ME TO CONTACT TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE YET THAT IS A DEAD END WITH ABSOLUTELY NO FIX TO MY FRAME. I ALSO RAN INTO A PROBLEM WHEN I WENT TO TRADE IT IN AND THE SALES MEN AT THE DEALER MENTIONED THE FRAME RUST. IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WHEN I OWN THE VEHICLE BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN BECOMES A PROBLEM/ISSUE IF I WANT TO TRADE IT IN. THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. FURTHERMORE, THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN KENTUCKY THAT REPLACED MY REAR LEAF SPRINGS FOR A RECALL WERE THE ONES THAT CONTACTED ME REGARDING THE FRAME WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT AND THE LADY SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME THAT TOYOTA WILL PUT A CORROSION COMPOUND ON THE FRAME TO 'PROTECT' IT. EVIDENTLY RUST GETS BETTER WITH AGE AND I HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT BUT I KNOW PEOPLE HAVE KNOWN HOW NEGLIGENT TOYOTA HAS BEEN WITH RUST PREVENTION ON THEIR FRAMES IN PREVIOUS YEAR TACOMAS. PLEASE HELP ME GET MY TRUCK FIXED ALONG WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TACOMA. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED AFTER THE FRAME HAD BEEN REPAIRED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED AUBREY ALEXANDER TOYOTA (1324 N SUSQUEHANNA TRAIL, SELINSGROVE, PA 17870, (570) 743-1171) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 160,000.
PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE LATCH IS ASSEMBLED BACKWARDS. NOTE THIS IS A CERTIFIED USED VEHICLE I BOUGHT IN NOV 2016, WITH 41,000 MILES FROM CARLSON TOYOTA. I JUST NOTICED THE ISSUE.
SUPER STIFF STEERING ISSUE AFTER REPLACING POWER STEERING PUMP AND SERPENTINE BELT. WAS SEARCHING AND FOUND OUT ABOUT INTERMEDIATE U JOINT IN THE STEERING SHAFT. TOOK TO MIDAS WERE THEY APPLIED PB BLASTER TO U JOINT THAT WAS CEASED. SEEMS TO EFFECT MANY CARS AND NEEDS TO BE CHECKED BY DEALERSHIPS AS PART OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. MINE NEEDS REPLACED AND I HAVE BEEN TO MULTIPLE TOYOTA DEALERSHIPS IN PART FEW MONTHS AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT.
THE VEHICLE'S STEERING BECAME VERY STIFF ON TIGHT TURNS AND WOULD NOT RECENTER ITSELF AFTER A TURN. IT WAS NOT CONSISTENT. AT TIMES THE STEERING WAS NORMAL, BUT ANOTHER 1/4 TURN OF THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD BE VERY DIFFICULT. IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A FAULTY STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT. A POORLY DESIGNED PART ALLOWED THE UNIVERSAL JOINT TO FAIL.
ON 1/2/18 I WAS DRIVING INTO A PARKING LOT GOING SLOW GETTING READY TO PUT MY TRUCK INTO REVERSE TO BACK UP INTO A SPOT WHEN SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION TOOK PLACE. MY TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP ACCELERATING FORWARD WITH MY RIGHT FOOT PRESSED ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE BRAKE MY TRUCK CONTINUED TO REV UP AND JUMP FORWARD WITH TIRES RUBBER BURNING DUE TO ME HAVING MY FOOT ON BREAK TRYING TO STOP THE TRUCK. I MISSED HITTING A CAR BARELY AND STILL NOT SURE HOW I MISSED IT. MY FOOT WAS CLEARLY ON THE BRAKE THE ENTIRE TIME AND FINALLY I PUT MY TRUCK IN PARK AND THE TRUCK CAME TO A STOP, SINCE I WAS NOT GOING DOWN A HIGHWAY. I REPORTED TO TOYOTA AND GOT NO WHERE. I HAVE NO FLOOR MAT IN MY TRUCK SO CANT BLAME IT ON FLOOR MAT. THEY ARE CLAIMING IT WAS MISAPPLICATION OF PEDAL. THIS IS A TOTAL LIE. I WOULD OF HIT THAT CAR HAD MY FOOT BEEN ON WRONG PEDAL. MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE SO HARD AND PUTTING IN PARK STOPPED THE TRUCK. AGAIN COULD HEAR THE ENGINE REV AS IF STUCK IN ACCELERATION AND MY TIRES BURNING RUBBER AS I CONTINUED TO ENGAGE BRAKE AND TRUCK WAS JUMPING FORWARD. TOYOTA HAS OPENED A CASE BUT AGAIN REFUSE TO ADMIT TO ANY PROBLEM BLAMING IT ON MISAPPLICATION OF PEDAL. KERRY TOYOTA FLORENCE KY INSISTS THEY DID INSPECTION BUT REFUSE TO SHOW ME ANY RESULTS FROM INSPECTION JUST SAY THEY INSPECTED PEDAL AND FLOOR MAT, WHICH THERE IS NO FLOOR MAT. I AM NOT CONVINCED THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC ON IT. TOYOTA CORPORATION AGAIN AWARE OF OTHER CASES BUT STILL REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE A PROBLEM. I AM SCARED NOW DRIVING WONDERING WHEN OR IF WILL HAPPEN AGAIN.
THE YELLOW PART OF THE HEADLIGHT HAS MELTED CRACKING BOTH LENSES INSIDE , WAS TOLD THE RECALL WAS OVER AND I WAS TO LATE TO HAVE BOTH HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES REPLACED . I GOT NOTHING IN THE MAIL , NOTHING BY THE DEALER TO LET ME KNOW IF WAS A PROBLEM.
STEERING BECAME NOTICEABLY TOUGH DURING NORMAL DRIVING WITH THE STEERING WHEEL BINDING AND HOLDING DURING A TURN AND THEN NOT EASILY RETURNING TO A CENTERED POSITION. NORMAL, SMOOTH OPERATION OF THE STEERING WHEEL NEVER RETURNED AND THE VEHICLE'S INTERMEDIARY STEERING SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BRUNER AUTO GROUP (224 EARLY BLVD, EARLY, TX 76802) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLAMPS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AND AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR FIVE YEARS; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS ALREADY REPAIRED AND THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,965. ..UPDATED 08/22/17 *BF *CN1
INTERMED SHAFT RUSTED COULD NOT STEERING TRUCK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING COLUMN CONTROLS CEASED TO FUNCTION. THE CONTACT, A CERTIFIED TOYOTA MECHANIC, DIAGNOSED THAT THE SPIRAL CABLE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER'S REPRESENTATIVE INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NHTSA WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SCOPE OF THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH THE RECALL WAS VOLUNTARY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
IN SEPTEMBER 2016 I WAS INFORMED OF SAFETY RECALL AND PUT ON WAIT LIST. CALLED RIVERSIDE TOYOTA ROME GA MARCH 2017 AND WAS TOLD STILL WAITING ON PARTS WITH 250 PEOPLE ON WAIT LIST IN FRONT OF ME. NOT TOYOTAS FAULT BUT FAULT OF OUTSOURCED PARTS
TOOK VEHICLE TO TOYOTA DEALER ABOUT WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT NOTICE #ZTZ IN MARCH 2017 AND WAS TOLD IT WAS EXPIRED AND YET DID NOT OFFER TO REPLACE THE LIGHTS WHEN THERE WAS CLEAR EVIDENSE OF THE ENHANCEMENT NOTICE AND THAT HAS NEVER SET WELL WITH ME

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DEALER HAS NOT REMEDIED THIS RECALL. I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT OVER 23 WEEKS AGO. I WAS TOLD THE PARTS WOULD BE THERE IN 7 TO 10 DAYS. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THEY ARE WAITING FOR THE PARTS FROM THE VENDOR.
TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL ON TOYOTA TACOMA PICKUPS? DATED NEW IN YEAR 2010.
THE SEAT BELT WAS FIXED 12/18/2015, AS IT WOULD NOT RETRACT. THE ISSUE HAS HAPPENED AGAIN, AND THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT FIX IT.
THE HVAC FAN ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BURNED AND MELTED. I COULD SMELL BURNING INSIDE MY TRUCK. MY MECHANIC FOUND THE HVAC BLOWER FAN CONNECTION HAD BEEN SO HOT IT BURNED AND MELTED ALONG WITH THE RESISTOR. SOME OF THE WIRES WERE BLACK AND BROWN. I WAS WORRIED THE TRUCK WAS GOING TO CATCH ON FIRE! THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE I FOUND I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN! TOYOTA DENIED THE PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA TACOMA. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING DOWN AN INCLINE. THE RPMS INCREASED WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED NORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT SOUNDED AS IF THE THROTTLE WAS STUCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 67,500.
REGARDING RECALL # 14V-604. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION ON NOV 8, 2016 AT BIG ISLAND TOYOTA, LOCATED IN KAILUA KONA, HI. DEALERSHIP SAID TRUCK FAILED INSPECTION. SAID REPLACEMENT PARTS WOULD ARRIVE IN SIX TO EIGHT MONTHS. SEEMS UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO REPAIR A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V604000 (SUSPENSION); HOWEVER, THE DEALER REFUSED TO DO THE REPAIR DUE TO THE VEHICLE HAVING A LIFT KIT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE LIFT KIT WOULD NEED TO BE REMOVED PRIOR TO THE RECALL BEING REMEDIED. THE CONTACT REFUSED BECAUSE HE WOULD BE CHARGED FOR THE LIFT KIT TO BE RE-INISTALLED, EVEN AFTER THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW WITH THE LIFT KIT. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I WAS NOTIFIED IN EARLY 2015 (NOT SURE OF THE ACTUAL DATE) OF A PENDING RECALL NHTSA# 14V604 OR TOYOTA # E02 REGARDING A PROBLEM WITH REAR SUSPENSION LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLIES. I RECEIVED A SECOND LETTER(IN 2015) ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE NOTING THAT A SOLUTION WILL BE IN PLACE IN EARLY 2016. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM TOYOTA REGARDING THIS ISSUE IN 2016 YET THE ISSUE RECALL IS STILL ACTIVE ON THE NHTSA DATA BASE. AT THIS TIME, I HAVE NOT HAD AN INCIDENT WITH MY VEHICLE BUT AM DISAPPOINTED THAT TOYOTA HAS BEEN SO DELIBERATE IN FIXING THE PROBLEM. THAT IS MY COMPLAINT.
AS I WAS CLEANING THE WINDSHIELD I HAD MY WIPER BLADES UP. I BUMPED THE BLADE ARM AND THE WIPER FELL OFF AS THE ARM CAME DOWN HITTING THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING A ONE FOOT LONG CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE READ THERE HAS BEEN RECALLING ON OTHER TOYOTAS FOR WINDSHIELDS CRACKING FROM THE DEFROSTER BLOWING WARM AIR ON A COLD WINDSHIELD. APPARENTLY, THE GLASS IS TOO THIN. THE TRUCK WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT HEAD LIGHT ASSEMBLE WHICH INCLUDED THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNAL HAD OVER HEATED CAUSING THE LIGHT HOUSING TO BECOME DISCOLORED AND THE BULB HAD SHATTERED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE LIGHTS AND HAD FAILED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER TOYOTA OF BROOK HEAVEN LOCATED AT 890 BROOKWAY BLVD, BROOKHAVEN, MS 39601 MS. WHO REPAIRED THE FAILURE BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THEIR CLAIM IS THAT THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT. TOYOTA HAS BECOME EXPERTS AT STONEWALLING AND IN THE MEANTIME, THOUSANDS OF TACOMA OWNERS ARE DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT SQUEAKS SO LOUD THAT PEOPLE ARE CONTINUALLY ASKING WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR TRUCK. ANYONE WHO HAS TRIED TO SELL OR TRADE THEIR TACOMA HAS HAD TO ABSORB A SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED PRICE/VALUE, FOR NO ONE WANTS TO WAIT ANOTHER THREE YEARS FOR TOYOTA TO EXECUTE THE RECALL. THIS LACK OF ACTION IS SIMILAR TO WHAT TOYOTA DID CONCERNING THE HEADLIGHT LENS WHICH CRACKED OR BURNED DUE TO THE HEAT FROM THE AMBER BULBS. IT TOOK OVER TWO YEARS TO GET TOYOTA TO ADMIT THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND PROVIDE REPLACEMENT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES.
