MY 2009 JETTA TDI ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH WHEN I PUSHED THE CLUTCH IN WHILE TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT 3 WEEKS AGO. I COASTED TO A PARKING SPOT AND TURNED OFF THE IGNITION. I STARTED THE CAR BACK UP IMMEDIATELY TO SEE IF IT WAS GOING TO BE OK AND IT SOUNDED GOOD SO I SHUT IT OFF. WHEN I RETURNED ABOUT 45 MINUTES LATER, THE CAR STARTED BUT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS RUNNING ON ONLY ONE OR TWO CYLINDERS AND THEN DIED. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL WHEN HE ARRIVED. THE DEALER ASKED IF I HAD EVER RUN GASOLINE THROUGH IT. I SAID 'NO, WHY WOULD I DO THAT?' HE SAID THAT THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT VW WOULD PAY FOR THIS 'ONE TIME' EVEN THOUGH THE WARRANTY HAS RUN OUT. WELL, IF THEY ARE AT FAULT THIS TIME, THEY WILL BE AT FAULT THE NEXT TIME TOO. MY CONCERN IS THE NEXT TIME. I DRIVE ON A 70 MPH INTERSTATE 90 MILES ROUND TRIP TO WORK 5 DAYS A WEEK. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT I WILL BE LUCKY ENOUGH THAT IT DID NOT HAPPEN IN TRAFFIC AT THAT SPEED THE FIRST TIME AND JUST WHERE WILL I BE WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN? IF THEY ARE REPLACING THIS SHREDDED HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP WITH THE SAME MODEL MADE OF THE SAME MATERIALS, IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. IS THERE ETHANOL BEING PUT INTO DIESEL IN THIS COUNTRY? WHAT ABOUT THE ADDITIVES TO DIESEL THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR LUBRICITY THAT ARE PUT IN BY THE DIFFERENT COMPANIES? IS ONE OR MORE TYPES OF THESE THE CULPRIT? THIS PROBLEM IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND I HOPE THAT VW CAN COME UP WITH A PERMANENT SOLUTION BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED - IF IT HASN'T HAPPENED ALREADY. MEANWHILE - STILL WAITING FOR MY CAR TO BE RETURNED TO ME.
MY JETTA HAS BEEN STUMBLING EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW. JUST A COUPLE DAYS AGO IT HAS BEGUN STALLING ALTOGETHER AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE CAUSE IS YET. BASICALLY WHEN I GET TO A CRUISING SPEED OR AM SLOWING DOWN SLIGHTLY WHERE I STILL HAVE MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL BUT AM SLOWING DOWN SLOWLY, THE CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN LOSES ALL POWER AND WHEN I STEP ON THE PEDAL MORE NOTHING HAPPENS. I TAKE IT OFF AND AFTER A SECOND OR SO I STEP ON IT AGAIN AND THE CAR FINALLY ACCELERATES. I AM TAKING IT INTO THE SHOP TODAY TO BE DIAGNOSED. *TR
EXCESSIVE WEAR IN BRAKE PAD AT UNDER 15,000 MILES. BOTH FRONT PADS ARE APPROX 75% OF 'NEW', THE RIGHT REAR PAD 75%+ OF 'NEW', BUT THE LEFT REAR (LR) IS NOW VERY CLOSE TO METAL-ON-METAL WITH ROTOR. DEALER SERVICE ON 3-10-11 @ 14, 281 MILES INDICATED 3MM REMAINING ON REAR (DIDN'T SPECIFY LEFT OR RIGHT OR BOTH, BUT ESTIMATE WAS TO REPLACE BOTH). WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE REAR PADS (NOW @ 14,990 MILES), IS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT ONLY THE LR IS AFFECTED, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY IT IS COMPLETELY WORN. LOST APPROX 3MM IN 700 MILES OF EASY DRIVING? INTERNET SEARCHES TURNS UP MULTIPLE SIMILAR OWNER COMPLAINTS OF UNREASONABLY EXCESSIVE (IN TERMS OF MILES UNDER EASY DRIVING) AND UNEVEN (IN TERMS OF ONLY ONE PAD BEING AFFECTED) WEAR IN PADS, POSSIBLE HAVING TO DO WITH CALIPER 'STICKING' (WHETHER IN CONNECTION WITH HAND BRAKE OR OTHERWISE). INDEPENDENT FOREIGN AUTO SERVICE FACILITY CONFIRMS THAT THERE IS MORE OF A PROBLEM THAN JUST WITH THE PAD ITSELF. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA SPORTWAGEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED IN REGARDS TO AN UNRELATED ISSUE WHEN THE CONTACT WAS TOLD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR REPAIRS UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V333000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUTSIDE OF THE MILEAGE RANGE OF THE RECALL AND WOULD NOT BE REPAIRED UNDER THE TERMS OF THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 84,600.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA SPORTWAGEN TDI. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, HE BRIEFLY LOST ENGINE POWER. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND AFTER PUMPING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE ENGINE RESUMED POWER. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,500.
OVER THE PAST 18 MONTHS, THE DEALER HAS REPLACED ALL THREE OF THE DIESEL FUEL PUMPS IN MY CAR. THE FAILURES DID NOT OCCUR IN TRAFFIC, NOR WAS THE CAR TOTALLY DISABLED. THE PURPOSE OF THIS REPORT IS TO ADD MY DATA TO THE OTHER REPORTS ALREADY COLLECTED. MY CAR HAS BEEN FIXED UNDER WARRANTY SO FAR, BUT MY WARRANTY WILL EXPIRE IN 15,000 MILES. I AM CONCERNED AS TO THE LONGEVITY OF THE REPLACEMENT PARTS. *TR
1) ABS/ESP LIGHTS CAME ON WHILE CRUISING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. 2) DIAGNOSED AS AN INTERNAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE OF THE ABS HYDRAULIC PUMP. ABS AND ESP INOPERABLE. 3) HYDRAULIC PUMP MUST BE REPLACED FOR A SHOCKING $2,800! *TR
TODAY IS APRIL 2, 2011. I WAS DRIVING MY 2009 JETTA TDI ON THE HIGHWAY WHERE MY ENGINE DIED ON ME RIGHT BEFORE MY COIL LIGHT WENT OFF WHILE DOING 60+ MILES. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE VW DEALERSHIP IN STRATFORD CT. WHILE WAITING I STARTED TO LOOK UP ANY INFORMATION ON ISSUES RELATED TO MINE BECAUSE MY CAR TURNED ONLY 2 YEARS OLD MARCH 15 2011. I HAD HEARD ON THE RADIO ON CAR TALK THAT TDI WERE SHUTTING DOWN ON THE HIGHWAYS AND THAT IT WAS BEING LOOKED INTO BY THE NHTSA. I ALSO READ DOZENS OF OTHER STORIES ONLINE WITH RELATED ISSUES WHICH IN THE END COST THEM A FEW THOUSAND TO TEN THOUSAND TO FIX ON RELATIVELY NEW CAR. I HAVE READ IT IS DUE TO HPFP NEEDING TO BE REPLACED WHICH WAS DAMAGED WHEN FUELED UP WITH INCORRECT FUEL. BASICALLY VW IS SAYING THAT METAL PARTICULATES ARE IN THE FUEL FILTERS AND SYSTEM DUE TO PUTTING GAS INSTEAD OF DIESEL. THEY ARE TELLING THIS SUPPOSED CATCH ALL TO EVERYONE WITH THIS ISSUE. I HAVE NEVER PUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN DIESEL INTO MY CAR. THE WARRANTY IS ONLY GOOD UP TO 50K. I AM AT 54K. THIS IS AN ON GOING ISSUE FOR JETTA TDI OWNERS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE AN ISSUE WHEN THE MILEAGE CLIMBS. THIS IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE THAT I TAKE PERSONALLY DUE TO A CHILD BEING IN THE CAR AT THE TIME OF THE BREAK DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. ENGINE ABRUPTLY STALLED ENTERING LARGE MULTI-LANE INTERSECTION, AS ENGINE REPAIR LIGHT CAME ON. SUDDENLY INOPERATIVE POWER TRAIN ON THE VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNING. TDI DIESEL POWERED VEHICLE. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND DIAGNOSED WITH HPFP (FUEL PUMP) & FUEL SYSTEM FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TDI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER. THE VEHICLE THEN BEGAN JERKING ABNORMALLY BEFORE STALLING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
VW JETTA 2009 STALLS AND ENGINES DIES WHILE DRIVING. LOST ABILITY TO STEER VEHICLE - ABLE TO COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD. CAR TOWED TO VW DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM. CONCERNED IF THIS HAPPENS ON MAJOR ROAD AND LOSS OF STEERING COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENT.
DRIVING TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD POST OFFICE, THE CAR STALLED WITH THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT COMING ON AS WELL AS "ENGINE FAULT" BEING DISPLAYED ON THE DISPLAY. THE CAR WOULD NOT START AND WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT WAS DETERMINED THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND METAL PARTICULATES WERE FOUND THROUGHOUT THE FUEL SYSTEM. DEALERSHIP REPLACED PUMPS, HOSES, AND CLEANED OUT OTHER PARTS FUEL MAY HAVE TOUCHED (I.E.,FUEL TANK) AND COVERED THE WORK UNDER WARRANTY. THE SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME IT WAS OVER $4,000 WORTH OF PARTS ALONE. HE DID CONFIRM THE FUEL PUMP IS COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY.
CAR STALLS OUT FOR NO REASON WHEN SHIFTING. *TR

ON MARCH 7, 2011 OUR VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TDI MODEL YEAR 2009 STALLED ABRUPTLY WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEED. THIS WAS A FIRST OCCURENCE. *TR
ON MARCH 6, WHILE DRIVING A 2009 VW JETTA TDI AT APPROXIMATE 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CRUISE CONTROL SHUT OFF, THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT CAME ON, AND AN WARNING THAT READ "ENGINE FAILURE WORKSHOP!" CAME ON. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE FASTER THAN 58 MPH AND I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE OWNER'S MANUAL DID NOT INDICATE THE MEANING OF THE GLOW PLUG WARNING LIGHT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT AND BOTH THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT AND "ENGINE FAILURE WORKSHOP!" LIGHTS WERE OFF. I DROVE THE CAR HOME AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER INDICATED THAT THE WARNING LIGHT INDICATED THE GLOW PLUG. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT I COULD CONTINUE TO DRIVE MY CAR UNTIL A PART THEY ORDERED FOR ME CAME IN UNLESS I EXPERIENCED "DRIVEABILITY" ISSUES, AT WHICH TIME I COULD TAKE IT DIRECTLY TO THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
WHEN STARTING TO MOVE THE CAR SUCH AS AT A STOP SIGN OR AT AN INTERSECTION, WHEN PUTTING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DOWN TO START THE VEHICLE MOVING, THE WHOLE CAR ALMOST STALLS AS ENGINE POWER DISAPPEARS FOR A TERRIFYING FEW SECONDS. *TR THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND EXPECT THE CAR WILL MOVE FORWARD AND NOT STALL. I WENT ONTO A VW FORUM AND LEARNED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR VW. *TR
VEHICLE HAS STALLED TWICE WHILE IDLING, SHORTLY AFTER START-UP. TEMPERATURE IN THE 40S. BROUGHT IT IN TO LOCAL VW DEALER (MONTESI VW, NORTH HAVEN, CT) SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I ASKED THEM TO ADDRESS STALLING AND GIVEN THE OPEN INVESTIGATION BY NHTSA, TO CHECK FOR HPFP FAILURE. THEY ASSURED ME THAT THERE WERE A SERIES OF TESTS THAT THEY WOULD RUN BUT STATED THAT "PEOPLE SEE SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET AND BLOW IT OUT OF PROPORTION." THEY CLAIM THAT THEY PERFORMED AN ECM SOFTWARE UPDATE, WITH THIS SOFTWARE TELLING THE CAR HOW MUCH DIESEL IT NEEDS AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME GIVEN THE CONDITIONS, E.G. TEMPERATURE. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY REPLACED THE FUEL FILTER. WHEN WE ASKED THEM TO CONFIRM THAT THERE WAS NO DEBRIS (OR OTHER SIGN OF IMPENDING HPFP FAILURE) IN THE FUEL FILTER THEY WERE UNABLE TO. THEY REPLIED THAT THEY JUST REMOVE THE FUEL FILTER AND THROW IT AWAY BUT DON'T LOOK AT OR INSPECT IT. I HAVE DRIVEN IT TWICE SINCE PICK-UP, ABOUT 100 MILES. I HAVE YET TO EXPERIENCE FURTHER STALLING. *TR
FRIDAY, FEB 18TH DRIVING HOME, ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, DURING RUSH HOUR, MY VEHICLE STARTED A CLICKING NOISE, MY DASHBOARD LIT UP WITH A MESSAGE 'FLASHING GLOW-PLUG AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. SECONDS LATER THE CAR STALLED AND I HAD SECONDS TO GET OUT OF THE TRAFFIC. THE CAR WOULD NOT START. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 24,600 MILES. I CALLED VW EMERGENCY TOWING AND IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP. TODAY SATURDAY THE 18TH I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE VW DEALERSHIP OF GAITHERSBURG, MD TELLING ME THERE WAS MAJOR DAMAGE IN THE HPFP AND FUEL SYSTEM CAUSED BY CONTAMINATED DIESEL FUEL. I REPLIED THAT I ONLY UTILIZE 2 DIESEL GAS STATIONS; BP AND SUNOCO. I HAVE NEVER PUT ANY OTHER FUEL IN BUT DIESEL AND ONLY FROM A REPUTABLE GAS STATION. NOW THE VW DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME I MUST PAY FOR REPAIRS THAT WILL EXCEED $7,000.00. *TR
I WAS DRIVING A 2009 VW JETTA TDI. I WAS TRAVELING AT A HIGHWAY SPEED (AROUND 65PMH) WHEN SUDDENLY THE ENGINE STOPPED. I ALMOST GOT HIT WHILE TRYING TO SECURE THE VEHICLE TO A SAFE LOCATION. THIS PROBLEM IS VERY UNSAFE. THE ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR WOULD NO LONGER TURN ON. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS SENDING METAL SHARDS THROUGH THE FUEL SYSTEM. THE TOTAL COST IS BETWEEN 6-10K AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 42,000 MILES. *TR
FUEL LINE BROKE WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS. SMOKE BEGAN POURING OUT FROM UNDER HOOD AND FILLING CABIN. TOOK VEHICLE STRAIGHT TO DEALERSHIP, WHERE I WAS TOLD THE #2 INJECTOR LINE BROKE. ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS SOAKED WITH FUEL, DIESEL WAS DRIPPING FROM ALL PARTS UNDER HOOD. I WAS CONCERNED WITH THE DIESEL DETERIORATING THE RUBBER HOSES AND COMPONENTS UNDER HOOD. VW DEALERSHIP CHANGED #2 INJECTOR LINE, AND RECOMMENDED CHANGING THE REST AS WELL AS THE ENGINE COVER. I OPTED TO NOT CHANGE THE REST, ONLY THE CRACKED ONE. IT DUMPED ABOUT A HALF TANK OF FUEL IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. *TR
GLOW PLUG INDICATOR SYMBOL FLASHING ON DASHBOARD. I HAD JUST LEFT MY HOUSE SO I DECIDED TO DRIVE AROUND THE BLOCK TO GET BACK TO MY HOUSE TO CHECK ON THE SYMBOL. WITHIN ONE BLOCK THE CAR LOST POWER, THE GLOW PLUG INDICATOR CAME BACK ON (FLASHING) AS DID THE ENGINE WARNING SYMBOL. MY CAR COULD NOW ONLY CLUNK FORWARD AT ABOUT 5 MPH. I MADE IT OVER TO THE CURBSIDE, GRABBED MY MANUAL, AND WALKED HOME. I CALLED THE VW DEALER AND HE SAID THAT HE'D SEEN A COUPLE OF CASES LIKE THIS AND THAT THE CAR WOULD HAVE TO BE TOWED IN." I HAD IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP (THIS WAS A SATURDAY). ON MONDAY I HEARD THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP (HPFP) AND THAT THE WHOLE FUEL SYSTEM WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. LUCKILY, I WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. IT'S A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR. MORE LUCKILY, THIS POWER FAILURE DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE FREEWAY, WHICH IS WHERE I WAS HEADING. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. PLEASE SEE THIS STRING OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP FAILURE - WHICH SO FAR VW IS DENYING IS A PROBLEM: HTTP://WWW.TDI-ISSUES.COM/HPFP-CASES-TAC68/. ALSO, PLEASE PURSUE THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CONSIDER A RECALL. THERE HAS BEEN NO GUARANTEE FROM VW THAT THIS REPAIR WILL NOT STOP THE PROBLEM FROM OCCURRING AGAIN. WHEN MY CAR IS REPAIRED, I WILL STILL FEEL UNSAFE, SINCE VW WILL NOT ADMIT THE PART WAS FAULTY AND WILL NOT CLARIFY THAT THEY HAVE REPLACED THE HPFP WITH A NEW, IMPROVED VERSION.
EGR VALVE FAILURE ON 2009 VOLKSWAGEN SPORTWAGEN TDI - AT 38000 MILES THE EMISSIONS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN MY CAR, AND THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT AS AN EGR VALVE PROBLEM. THIS IS A REQUIRED PART OF THE EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM, AND VOLKSWAGEN HAS DECLINED TO OFFER A FIX FOR IT. *TR
I AM AN AEROSPACE ENGINEERING CONSULTANT. MY 09 JETTA HAD REAR PASSENGER CALIBER, ROTOR, AND BRAKE LINE REPLACE AT 10,000 MILES FOR EXCESSIVE WEAR. 1ST NOTICED WHEN GOING AROUND CORNERS APPLYING BRAKES A DRAGGING EFFECT WOULD COME FROM REAR PASSENGER BRAKE. DEALER COULD NOT GIVE ANY REASON FOR THIS HAPPENING AND REPLACE ROTOR, CALIPER, AND BRAKE LINE AT 10K. SUMMER TIME WEATHER. CAR EXHIBITED THE SMELL OF HOT BRAKES AND RUBBER SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN THE NEXT FAILURE. THE NEXT FAILURE OCCURRED AT 34000 MILE. DRIVER SIDE ROTOR WAS SO PITTED AND WARPED FROM EXCESSIVE HEAT DEALER REPLACE ROTOR AND CALIPER AND GAVE NO REASON PROBLEM. SUMMER TIME WEATHER. AT 37080 MILE ON FEB 10 2011 AT 4:30 AM WITH OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE AROUND 20F DEGREES I RELEASED PARKING BRAKE AND STARTED DRIVING TO JOB SITE. THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS STRAINING TO ACCELERATE. WITHIN TWO MILES FROM THE HOUSE THE CAR PULLED VIOLENTLY TO LEFT , THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STOPPED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND WOULD NOT MOVE. I SHUT THE ESP SYSTEM OFF CAR STILL WORK NOT MOVE FORWARD. I DROVE IN REVERSE BACK TO HOUSE ABOUT 1.5 MILES. WHEN I LOOKED AT REAR BRAKE ROTOR ON DRIVER SIDE SINCE IT WAS STILL DARK THE ROTOR WAS GLOWING RED LIKE THE BURNER ON ELECTRIC STOVE. SMELL OF BURNING MATERIALS WAS IN THE AIR. CALLED DEALER WHICH IS ANCRIA OF SAN ANTONIO, TX. DAN MINOR THE SERVICE MANAGER THINKS IT WAS THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE SPRING NOT RELEASING BRAKE. CAR WAS DROPPED OF FRIDAY FEB 11TH 2011 AT DEALER. A CASE HAS BEEN OPEN WITH VW ENGINEERING. VW DEALER IS CLUELESS AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. I SUSPECT THE GOOD GERMAN ENGINEERS ARE TOO PROUD TO SAY WE HAVE A PROBLEM FIX WHAT SEEMS TO BE A WELL DOCUMENTED PROBLEM WITH 09 JETTAS. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET HURT AND NO ONE IS LISTENING. THANKFULLY THE DEALER HAS BEEN REPLACING THINGS TO DATE.
STARTED CAR TO LET IT WARM UP.. CAME OUT 20 MINUTES LATER AND THE CAR WAS OFF.. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO DEALER TO FIND OUT THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP HAS FAILED. THE PUMP SENT METAL INTO THE FUEL SYSTEM. DEALER HAS COVERED REPLACEMENT OF ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM UNDER WARRANTY. JUST RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE DEALER STATING THAT THEY ARE NOW HEARING A STRANGE NOISE IN CYL # 1.. WAITING FOR A CALL AT THIS POINT.. *LN
WAS DRIVING MY 2009 JETTA TDI TO WORK ONE MORNING LAST WEEK WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT WAS BLINKING. THE DASH INDICATOR SAID SOMETHING LIKE ENGINE MALFUNCTION WORKSHOP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER WORK AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE FOLLOWING: "RECEIVED FAULT FOR PO671A & P0087 GLOW PLUG & FUEL PRESSURE TOO LOW. FOUND REGULATOR LEAKING ON TO GLOW PLUG #4 CAUSING DTC'S FOR GLOW PLUG." I HAD TO HAVE THE GLOW PLUG AND THE FUEL RAIL REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE ($970) SINCE VW WOULDN'T PAY FOR IT AND SAID THE REPAIR WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I RECEIVED THE CAR BACK AFTER THE REPAIR AND THE VERY NEXT DAY, WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT STARTED BLINKING AGAIN FOR AWHILE AND THEN TURNED OFF. SO I WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A P0087 AND THEY SAID IT WAS A BAD HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP - PRESSURE WAS TOO LOW. I CALLED VW OF AMERICA AND LEFT A MESSAGE. VWOA CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY AND AGREED TO COVER THE BAD FUEL PUMP UNDER WARRANTY. THE HPFP HAD NOT YET BLOWN BUT WOULD HAVE ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP IF I'D KEPT DRIVING WITHOUT HAVING THE INSTANCE OF THE GP LIGHT INVESTIGATED. THIS WOULD HAVE CAUSED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE FUEL SYSTEM WITH A COST OF REPAIR BETWEEN $6K - 10K. SINCE WE CAUGHT IT IN TIME, THE COST IS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF $1600. *TR
DURING THE SNOW STORM THE CLUTCH AND THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE DID NOT ENGAGE. I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY ALONG WITH THE TRAFFIC AND THE AS THE CAR STARTED TO ASCEND AN INCLINE IN THE ROAD, IT STARTED TO SKID; AND WHEN I ENGAGED THE BRAKES, ATTEMPTED TO CHANGE GEARS, THE CLUTCH WOULD NOT ENGAGE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE FUEL LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS IT WAS RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. HAD A HALF A TANK OF FUEL FROM MOBIL DROVE 30 MILES WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS PRIOR TO PARKING CAR IN GARAGE FOR 30 MIN. LEFT FOR WORK AND CAR STALLED OUT AT AN INTERSECTION. STARTED UP AFTER 3RD ATTEMPT TO START,RAN REALLY ROUGH AND DIED WITHIN SECONDS IF ACCELERATOR WASN'T DEPRESSED. ALMOST MADE IT HOME BEFORE DYING FOR GOOD ON A HILL. HAD TOWED TO DEALERSHIP (THE ONLY PLACE IT HAS HAD WORK DONE)WHO IS NOW TELLING ME THERE WAS WATER IN FUEL, ICE IN THE FUEL FILTER, EVIDENCE THE FUEL TANK HAD BEEN REMOVED IN THE PAST(WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE), AND THAT THE HPFP FAILED AND REQUIRES TOTAL REPLACEMENT OF FUEL SYSTEM. CURRENTLY WAITING TO HEAR IF VW WILL COVER UNDER WARRANTY. *LN
I LEFT MY HOUSE, APPROXIMATELY 8 MILES FROM THE HOUSE I STOPPED AT A LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN MY ENGINE STALLED, I SAW LOTS OF CARS COMING UP UPON ME AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I GOT THE CAR RESTARTED GOT IT TO THE CURB. WHEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN AT THE LIGHT, NO WARNING LIGHTS HAD GONE OFF AT ALL. AS SOON AS I GOT IT STARED ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS FLASHED. I THOUGHT IT WAS DUE TO A COLD TEMPERATURE ISSUE IT WAS 8 DEGREES OUT. I TRIED TO MAKE IT BACK HOME: THE CAR QUIT WORKING APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES FROM MY HOUSE AND, WOULD NOT START ANYMORE. I WAITED A FEW HOURS FOR THE SUN TO COME UP TO WARM UP THE CAR, AND PERFORMED ROAD SIDE SERVICE AND I WAS UNABLE TO RESTART CAR. I HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCAL SHOP. INFORMED HPFP HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. I WAS INFORMED BY VW TO BRING THE CAR TO THEIR SHOP FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. AT THIS TIME I'M WAITING FOR A RESPONSE? HOPEFULLY THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT, OR ARE THEY JUST ANOTHER CORPORATION THAT DOES NOT CARE FOR ITS CUSTOMERS. RESPONSE FROM VW CONTAMINATED IN FUEL ASKED FOR LAB REPORT WAS DENIED AND TOLD.THEY DREW FUEL FROM THE CAR INTO A GLASS JAR SAW THAT IT WAS CLOUDY AND THERE FORE IT WAS CONTAMINATED. AUTOMOBILE STALLING, ROUGH RUNNING, LOSS OF POWER, HARD START. HAPPENS ALL THE TIME WITH TEMPERATURE'S ABOVE 40 DEGREES F. HAPPENED FROM THE DAY I TOOK IT OFF THE LOT. HAVE HAD IT IN TO VW MULTIPLE TIMES, COMPUTER "RE-FLASHED" NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON. FROM WHAT I READ ON TDI FORUM'S IT COULD BE THE HPFP HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP, OR SOMETHING IN THE EMISSIONS THAT JUST IS NOT RIGHT. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I HAVE HAD THE STALL HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY. THE NTSB NEEDS TO GO AFTER VW ASAP TO GET A RECALL ON THESE VEHICLES, IF THE HPFP FAILS IT IS A 10K FIX, THAT IS 50% OF THE VALUE OF THE CAR, UNACCEPTABLE. *TR
2009 TDI JETTA EXHAUST FLAP FAILURE JUST AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRATION. THE LOCAL DEALER INDICATED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM PRIOR TO THE REDESIGN ON THE EXHAUST FLAP (CHANGE FROM ALUMINUM TO STAINLESS STEEL). DEALER WANTS $600.00 TO REPLACE THE PART. UPON INSPECTION OF THE FLAP, THE MECHANICS OF THE FLAP (NOT THE MOTOR OR SENSOR PORTION), BUT THE FLAP ITSELF HAVE BOUND UP. NUMEROUS ACCOUNTS OF THIS ISSUE WERE FOUND ON-LINE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT SUDDENLY STARTED TO LOSE POWER AND WITHIN SECONDS STOPPED COMPLETELY. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START SO I HAD IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP. ON INSPECTION THE MECHANIC FOUND METAL SHAVINGS THROUGHOUT THE FUEL SYSTEM INCLUDING THE FUEL INJECTORS. ON FURTHER INSPECTION IN WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP (HPFP) HAD FELL APART INTERNALLY SENDING METAL BITS ALL THROUGHOUT THE FUEL SYSTEM CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUTDOWN. THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM WAS REPLACED INCLUDING THE THREE FUEL PUMPS(ONE IN THE FUEL TANK, AND THE OTHERS AT THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT INCLUDING THE HPFP), FUEL LINES, INJECTORS, FUEL RAIL, FUEL FILTERS, AND ALL THE SENSORS IN THE FUEL SYSTEM. BASICALLY ANYWHERE THE FUEL FLOWED THROUGH HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE FUEL TANK WAS NOT REPLACED BUT THOROUGHLY CLEANED. ALL THE OLD PARTS ARE IN MY POSSESSION AND SHOW THE GROUND UP METAL THROUGHOUT. *TR
WHILE ON CRUISE CONTROL ON I-55 TRAVELING AT 65 MPH GLOW PLUG LIGHT ILLUMINATED, MFD MESSAGE "ENGINE FAILURE WORKSHOP" APPEARED AND ENGINE DIED. ELECTRICAL POWER WAS NEVER LOST. PRIOR TO COASTING TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER, MFD MESSAGE WENT AWAY. AFTER COASTING TO A STOP TRIED TO RESTART ENGINE, STARTER COULD BE HEARD BUT ENGINE WOULD NOT START. VW SERVICE DEPARTMENT DETERMINED "MECHANICAL INTERNAL FAULT IN HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP. METAL FRAGMENTS FOUND THROUGHOUT FUEL SYSTEM. DIESEL FUEL, MOSTLY FROM INTERSTATE HIGHWAY GAS STATIONS AND STANADYNE DIESEL FUEL ADDITIVE PURCHASED FROM VW DEALERS USED ON EVERY REFILL. ENGINE HAD 37,862 MILES AND WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM A DEALER 23 MONTHS AGO. VW REPLACED THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM.
VEHICLE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE NEEDED TO TURN ENGINE OFF AND BACK ON BEFORE IT WOULD MOVE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND THAN OFF ON THE DAY BEFORE I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE IT HAPPENED EVERYTIME I STARTED THE CAR THAT DAY VEHICLE IS NOW AT DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY NEEDED TECH SUPPORT FROM VW AND IT WOULD BE UNTIL NEXT WEEK BEFORE ANY THING WAS DONE. *TR
THIS IS MY SECOND COMPLAINT REGARDING THE REAR BRAKE WEAR ON THE 2009 JETTAS. THIS PROBLEM IS COMMON AMONGST THOUSANDS OF OTHER DRIVERS OVER THE INTERNET THAT HAVE YET TO REPORT THE PROBLEM TO NHTSA. I FIRST HAD EXCESSIVE REAR BRAKE WEAR ON MY VW AT LESS THAN 15, 000 WHERE I LOST MY BRAKES COMPLETELY AND DAMAGED THE ROTORS. THIS WAS BEFORE THE RECOMMENDED SERVICE PERIOD ON MY NEW VEHICLE. THE BRAKES AND ROTOR WERE REPLACED AND THE DEALER ONLY CITED IT AS 'PREMATURE WEAR' AND THAT IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I AM NOW AT 18,000 AND HAVE NOTICED THAT MY BRAKES ARE STILL WEARING MUCH FASTER THAN THE FRONT BRAKES. THAT IS ONLY 3,000 MILES IN WHICH THEY ARE AT THE HALFWAY WEAR POINT. THE OEM BRAKE WEAR IS SUPPOSED TO OCCUR BETWEEN 30,000 AND 40,000 MILES. THIS IS NOT THE CASE AND MAY BE THE RESULT OF THE NEW REDESIGN OF THE VW WHICH MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEFECTIVE WEAR ISSUE. I AM SCHEDULED FOR ANOTHER SERVICE REPAIR AND VW OF AMERICA HAS PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER (NOT RESOLVE IT OR TAKE OWNERSHIP OVER THE PROBLEM) PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS OR AT LEAST SEARCH THE INTERNET TO SEE HOW MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE WITH 2008 - 2011 VWS. WHILE DRIVING 2009 JETTA TDI WITH APPROXIMATELY 42K MILES, GLOW PLUG LIGHTS FLASHED AND THEN RESULTED IN ENGINE FAILURE AND ALL POWER LOSS WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70MPH ON HIGHWAY. VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO LOCAL CAR SERVICE. AT FIRST WE WERE TOLD THERE MAY HAVE BEEN CONTAMINATED FUEL THAT CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. ONCE A MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT WE WERE TOLD THERE WERE SHARDS OF METAL THROUGH THE FUEL LINES AND IN THE ENGINE, RESULTING IN REPAIRS UPWARD OF $10,000.00. FURTHERMORE I HAVE THE LAST 25 REPRINTED RECEIPT SHOWING DIESEL WAS THE FUEL PUT IN THIS VEHICLE, FROM A REPUTABLE FUEL PROVIDED. I FEEL THIS MUST BE ADDRESS SOON OR THERE IS GOING TO BE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I BELIEVE THAT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A POTENTIAL ACCIDENT AND WE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT IF NOT FOR THE ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON AND US SEEING IT SOON ENOUGH TO GET IT STOP AND UNDER CONTROL. ON JAN. 17 2011 I WAS ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 55 M.P.H. THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED AND SUFFERED AN IMMEDIATE LOSS OF POWER. THE VEHICLE DISPLAY SAID SOMETHING LIKE ENGINE WORKGROUP. THERE WAS ALSO WARNING LIGHT FOR GLOWPLUG AND SERVICE ENGINE. I CONTINUED APPROX. 2 MILES TO WORK WITH LESS POWER AND CALLED VOLKSWAGEN WHO TOLD ME TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED FOR SERVICE. VEHICLE IS 2009 VW JETTA TDI. SERVICE REPORTS THEY FOUND A MUDDY LOOKING SUBSTANCE AND REPLACED THE EGR VALVE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS BACK ON WITHIN DAYS OF THIS SERVICE BUT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED AS OF THIS TIME. THIS VEHICLE HAS NEVER HAD GASOLINE IN THE FUEL SYSTEM. *TR

HE WAS ABLE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE HE MANUALLY POWERED THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED IT AGAIN WHICH ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO RESET. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO THEY REPLACED THE MECHATRON. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000.
PREMATURE REAR BRAKE WEAR AND FAILURE. HEAVY BRAKE DUSTING ON REAR WHEELS SINCE NEW. REAR BRAKES NEED TO BE REPLACED AT 25,000 MILES AND 50% OF THE MILES WERE HIGHWAY MILES. SPONGY BRAKE PETAL AND HEAVY REAR WHEEL BRAKE DUST REPORTED TO DEALER 3 TIMES WHEN NEW AND AT THE NORMAL SERVICE INTERVALS. VW DEALER SERVICE MANAGER SAID ALL 09' JETTA'S REAR BRAKES ARE WEARING OUT BETWEEN 20,000 AND 30,000 MILES. EITHER REAR BRAKE DESIGN OR MATERIALS ARE DEFECTIVE CAUSING PREMATURE WEAR AND FAILURE. *TR
2009 VW SPORTWAGON TDI. PROPER DIESEL FUEL USED. AT ABOUT 1/4 TANK REMAINING, GLOW PLUG LIGHT WENT ON AND CAR STALLED. TOWED TO DEALER WHO SAID THAT HPFP IMPLODED AND METAL CHIPS IN SYSTEM. ESTIMATED OVER $8000 TO REPAIR. SINCE I AM GOOD CUSTOMER AND HAD 75,000 MI ON CAR, THEY AGREED TO PAY 10%, VW OF AMERICA 85%, AND I HAD TO PAY 5%. THEY VERIFIED THAT DIESEL FUEL WAS IN TANK! *TR
I JUST DISCOVERED A BRAKE PROBLEM ON MY WIFE'S VEHICLE AND WANTED TO BRING YOUR ATTENTION TO IT. MY WIFE COMPLAINED THAT SHE WAS HEARING NOISES COMING FROM THE REAR WHEELS AND THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT DIFFERENT. I WENT TO CHECK THE CAR AND FOUND THAT THE DISK BRAKE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAD BEEN DAMAGED BY THE PAD. THE DAMAGE OCCURRED ON THE INSIDE OF THE DISK WHILE THE OUTER PART OF THE DISK WAS OK. IN FACT, THE OUTER PAD OF THE BRAKE SEEMS TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE AND CAPABLE OF PROVIDING MANY MORE MILES OF BRAKING. THE DISK ON THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY DAMAGE NOR DOES IT SHOW SIGNS OF PREMATURE WEAR. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE VW DEALERSHIP HERE IN ORLANDO SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY INDICATED THAT THE UNEVEN WEAR OF THE BRAKE PAD COULD HAVE BEEN DUE TO THE PARKING BRAKE PARTIALLY ENGAGED. I MADE A QUICK SEARCH ONLINE FOR RELATED ISSUES AND FOUND THAT A GOOD NUMBER OF 2009 JETTA DRIVERS HAVE FILED SAFETY COMPLAINTS WITH THE NHTSA ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS A MECHANICAL PROBLEM THAT I WOULD EXPECT FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS AND AM TAKEN ABACK THAT I NOW SEE IT ON A VW. WE HAVE COME TO TRUST VW ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING TO A POINT THAT MAKES IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND WE ARE DEALING WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS ON A NEW CAR. BUT, THE QUESTION STILL REMAINS ABOUT WHAT IN THIS CAR BRAKING SYSTEM COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE IT TO WEAR SO REMARKABLY PREMATURE AND UNEVEN. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED AS SHE APPLIED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE RPM WOULD SPIKE AND THE ENGINE WOULD REV, BUT THE VEHICLE DIDN'T HAVE ANY POWER AS IF THE GEAR SLIPPED INTO NEUTRAL WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER STATED THERE ARE TWO OPEN RECALLS, BUT HER VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION WAS NOT INCLUDED. *JB
I HAVE 39000 MILES ON MY 2009 VW SPORTWAGEN SE, IN THAT TIME I HAVE REPLACED 5 ALLOY WHEELS THAT WERE DAMAGED BY SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZED POT HOLES. EVERY POTHOLE I HIT, EVEN SMALL ONES, DENT THE WHEELS AND THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE STOPPED BUYING THE ALLOY WHEELS AND NOW REPLACE THE BROKEN WHEELS WITH BLACK STEEL WHEELS, NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. *TR
2009 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA 30,898 MILES REAR BRAKES ROTORS WORN AND PADS GONE. FRONT BRAKES STILL HAVE 40,000 MILES LEFT ON PADS, LOOK NEW ACCORDING TO CERTIFIED ASE BRAKE MECHANIC. CAR DOES NOT STOP SAFELY. MECHANIC WAS SHOCKED AT THE BRAKE WEAR ON REAR ROTORS AND PADS AND THE EXTREME WEAR ON THE BACK PADS AND ROTORS. CERTIFIED ASE MECHANIC ADVISED THAT FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CARS BRAKES SHOULD WEAR EVENLY, NOT ENTIRELY ON BACK BRAKES. VEHICLE NOT BREAKING RIGHT AT LOW OR HIGH SPEEDS. CAR STILL UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY, DEALER REFUSES TO REPLACE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 5 IN CENTRAL OREGON, GOING APPROX. 60 MPH, 2009 DIESEL JETTA LOST POWER AND BEGAN TO STALL OUT. I HAD DRIVEN ALMOST 245 MILES ON THIS DAY (WITH THE SAME TANK OF FUEL), BEFORE THE STALL OCCURRED. MANY WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASH, INCLUDING A FLASHING GLOW PLUG LIGHT WITH ENGINE SYMBOL, ENGINE DEFAULT LIGHT AND WORKSHOP WARNING LIGHT. UPON COMING TO A STOP, THE CAR DIED COMPLETELY, WOULD NO LONGER START, AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO VW. UPON RECEIPT OF THE CAR, VW TRIED TO ACCUSE ME OF USING "BAD FUEL" BUT THEN CHANGED THEIR STORY, ONCE THEY DID MORE RESEARCH (AND THEY FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE ACROSS THE US ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM). VOLKSWAGEN STATES THAT THERE IS A COMPLETE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM FAILURE, WITH METAL PARTICULATE IN THE FUEL FILTERS AND SYSTEM, AND ALL COMPONENTS MUST BE REPLACED. THIS IS CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS, AND I AM STRANDED APPROXIMATELY 1,000 MILES FROM MY HOME, WITH NO INDICATION OF A SET COMPLETION DATE FOR REPAIRS. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS ISSUE WILL REOCCUR, AS IT IS BEING REPORTED ON A LARGE SCALE BY MANY TDI JETTA OWNERS ON THE WEB FORUMS. AFTER 40,000 MILES OF MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING THE INSIDE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE PAD IS COMPLETELY USED UP WHILE THE OTHER 7 HAVE MOST OF THE PAD REMAINING. THE DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS, THEY STATED THAT "WHEN THE CAR GOES LIKE THIS, THE REAR BRAKES COME ON" . I HAVE YET TO FIND A SHOP THAT I CAN TRUST TO DO THE REPAIRS NEEDED. *TR
