TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 VOLKSWAGEN ROUTAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ENTERING A RESIDENTIAL GARAGE, THE REAR LIFTGATE GLASS EXPLODED AS THE REAR LIFT GATE HAPHAZARDLY OPENED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 17,000.
