II PURCHASE THE TRUCK WITH THE UNDERSTANDING IT HAD ONLY 124,946 MILES.TWO LATER I FOUND THRU CAR FOX THAT THE MILES HAD ROLL BACK. IN 2018 THE MILES 195000 THEN IN 2019 175000 AND 2020 NO MILES AT ALL. TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASE CHECK ENG LITE AND OTHER LITES CAME ON.

I HAVE A 2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE AND ON THE DASH IT WILL READ OIL PRESSURE LOW STOP ENGINE AND THE OIL LIGHT WILL COME ON THEN BACK OFF. UPON RESEARCH FROM A SHOP MECHANIC HE SAID THAT IT WAS COMMON FOR THOSE 6.2 MOTORS FOR THE CAM BEARINGS TO GO BAD CAUSING NO OIL TO REACH THE TOP OF THE MOTOR AND COULD CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE AND MOTOR TO COME APART AND KILL SOMEONE
THE ENGINE MOUNT HAS BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES AND KEEPS BRAKING, I CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP PAYING TO REPLACE IT EVERY SIX MONTHS, MY MECHANIC SAYS ITS BEEN MISDESIGNED, BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS TOO STRONG, HE ALSO SAID THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR ALL OF THE VEHICLES WITH THAT SIZE ENGINE, MY CONCERN IS, WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF I DON'T REPLACE IT ANYMORE AND IT COMPLETELY BRAKES? SHOULD THIS HAPPENS WHEN I'M TRYING TO CROSS A ROAD WITH LOTS OF TRAFFIC AND I NEED TO SPEED, I WILL BE STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND BE HIT BY ANOTHER CAR? ALSO, ANOTHER CONCERN IS THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS GOING TO GET DAMAGED, EVER TIME I TAKE OFF, I CAN FEEL HOW HARD IT HITS THE ENGINE DUE TO THE MOVEMENT ALLOWED BY THE BROKEN ENGINE MOUNT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE RESULTS WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000. UPDATED 10/22/14*CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE POWER/HEATED SEATS, DOOR HANDLES(3), WHEEL BEARINGS, SHOCKS AND STRUTS, BRAKES, HEADLIGHTS, TRACTION CONTROL, AND ENGINE ALL HAVE FAILED AND WERE REPAIRED. SUSPENSION AND ANTI LOCK BRAKES THE PROBLEM START IN 2012 AND THEY COULD NOT FIX IT FOR OVER 4 YEARS, I TRIED TWO CADILLAC DEALER AND THE LAST DEALER CONTACT THE ENGINEERING , AFTER ALL GM ENGINEERING TOLD ME IT UNFIXABLE.
APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS (03/18/11) PRIOR TO REPAIRS THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE 2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE HAD A "SHAKING NOISE" THE SLOWER YOU DROVE THE MORE NOISE IT MADE. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO QUOTED $1,000 FOR REPAIRS. AT THE TIME WE DROPPED IT OFF THE SERVICE MANAGER MADE US AWARE THAT THERE WAS A "BULLETIN FROM GENERAL MOTORS " ABOUT THE PROBLEM THAT IT WAS "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND THEY WOULD NOT ISSUE A RECALL." IT WAS FOUND BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE FRONT JOUNCE BUMPERS AND FRONT STRUTS AND MOUNTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I CONTACTED GM SERVICE LINE WHILE IT WAS STILL IN THE SHOP AND HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS IN ORDER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE. I HAD NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO GM AND THEY STATED "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" AND YOUR 50,000 BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER IT SINCE IT HAD 62,926 MILES ON IT. I REQUESTED A DISTRICT SUPERVISOR REVIEW AND THE OUTCOME WAS THE SAME. WE HAVE HAD CADILLACS FOR 25+ YEARS AND SOME WITH 200,000+ MILES ON THEM AND NEVER HAD THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM AND TREATMENT FROM ANYONE. WE RECEIVED NO SATISFACTION OR CONSIDERATION ABOUT OUR PROBLEM FROM GM EXCEPT FOR THEM TO REPEATEDLY STATE "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR."

THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION IS A 2007 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 26 TIMES IN 10 MONTHS FOR MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND HAS HAD NUMEROUS REPLACEMENT PARTS INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS CAUSING ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING, NAVIGATION FAILURE WHILE DRIVING, MOTORIZED GAS AND BRAKE PEDAL MOVEMENT WHILE DRIVING, FUEL TANK ELECTRICAL ISSUES, ALL OF WHICH HAS CREATED UNSAFE SITUATIONS FOR MY WIFE AND CHILDREN RIDING IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS UNDEPENDABLE DUE TO NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES. I HAVE TRIED TO WORK WITH CADILLAC FOR A REPLACEMENT WITH NO SUCCESSES. IF WE CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS DIRECTED BY CADILLAC, IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE AN INJURY OR DEATH OCCURS. THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT FOR THE ENTIRE CADILLAC LINE AS THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS REGARDING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THIS BRAND. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FRONT SHOCKS, STRUTS AND DRIVE TRAIN WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER REPAIRS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS PRESENT SINCE THE DATE OF PURCHASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
I JUST LIKE INFORM TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I AM OWNER OF CADILAC ESCALADE ESV THAT I BOUGHT BRAND NEW BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2006 , I WOULD LIKE TO EXPLAIN THAT THIS WAS BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY CAR THAT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT IN MY LIFE IN ONE YEAR TIME THE CAR SAT AT THE DEALER MORE THAN 3 MONTHS FOR MANY ISSUES AND DEFECTS AND WHEN I MEAN MANY I MEAN OVER 80 ISSUES WITH THE CAR AND MOST IMPORTANT THESE CARS HAVE MAJOR DEFECT ON THEIR BAKES I HAD ALMOST A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WHEN THE TWO FRONT CALIPERS BRAKES FAILED AND THE WAS ONLY 6 MONTHS IN MY HAND SINCE THEN IT HAS HAD OTHER BRAKE FAILURES AND MANY OTHER DEFECTS INCLUDING WIRE HARNESS TO CATCH ON FIRE THIS CAR IS TICKING TIME BOMB WAITING FOR SOMETHING ELSE TO GO WRONG I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH GM THE MANUFACTURER OF CADILLAC UNTIL TODAY FROM DAY ONE IT HAS HAD DEAD BATTERY IF YOU LET IT SIT FOR MORE THEN 3 DAYS FROM DAY ONE INCLUDING ENGINE LIGHT ALSO FROM DAY ONE THAT THEY NEVER WERE ABLE TO FIX I AM SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT THESE CARS OR VERY UNSAFE SO BODY SHOULD TALK TO THE MANUFACTURER TO FIX THESE SERIOUS ISSUES SOME BODY CAN GET HURT FROM THESE PROBLEMS THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR
