I HAD THE SAME LEAKING FUEL LINE PROBLEM THAT YOU ARE INVESTIGATING. REPLACED RUSTED FUEL LINES FOR $781.59 AT 199,699 MILES.
FUEL SMELL AND FOUND THE BOTTOM OF THE GAS TANK WET AND DRIPPING, FORMING A PUDDLE OF FUEL UNDERNEATH THE CAR. THE LEAK ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED AND RUNNING. OVERNIGHT THE FUEL HAS EVAPORATED FROM THE FLOOR AND DOESN'T BEGIN LEAKING AGAIN UNTIL CAR IS STARTED AND RUNNING.
LEAKY FUEL LINE - GAS PUDDLE VISIBLE NEAR LEFT REAR WHEEL WELL WHEN PARKED WITH STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE WHEN DRIVING CAR.
WE WERE PARKING AND SUDDENLY THE STEERING WHEEL GOT REALLY HARD TO OPERATE, REALLY CONCERNED THIS ISSUE CAN HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY
TAKATA RECALL MY FIANCEAND MY SON WAS INVOLED IN A CRASH HIT ON DRIVERS SIDE NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED NOT FRONT OR CURTAIN THE BOTH LOST THEIR LIVES MY 29 YR OLD SOON TO BE WIFE AND MY 7YR. OLD SON WAS KILLED ON AUGEST 3RD 2018 WHEN HIT BY A TRI AXEL TRUCK ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AFTER THE CAR WENT INTO A SLIDE FOR AN UNKNOW REASON BUT THE AIRBAGS FAILED MY SON WOULD STILL BE ALIVE IF THE SIDE BAG WOULD OF WENT OFF HE WAS IN A RESTRAINT SEAT IN THE BACK HE WAS STILL STRAPPED IN HE DIED FROM BLUNT FROCE TRAUMA TO HIS HEAD WHICH IF THE AIRBAG WOULD OF WENT OFF IT WOULD OF SOFTENED THE BLOW CHEVY SUCKS THE AIRBAG PEOPLE NEED TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE CHEVY NEEDS TO BE HELD RESPONISABLE I LOST MY FAMILY I LOST MY ONLY CAR I AM BROKEN I WANT SOMEONE TO TAKE RESPONSAB;ILTY AND FACE WHAT THEY MAY WE BUY YOUR CARS WITH THE AIRBAGS THINKING THEY R SAFE WELL WRONG MY SON SHOULD BE HERE WITH ME TODAY NOT LAYING IN THE GROUND I WANT TO SAVE SOMEONES CHILD STOP SUPPORTING CHEVY AND TAKATA THEY MAKE JUNK SELL JUNK THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FAMILY ALL THEY R AFTER IS YOUR MONEYOH YEAH SHE WAS ESTAMATIED SPEED OF 35 IN A 45 ZONE SO DONT TRY TO SAY IT WAS SPEED SOMETHING CAUSED THE CAR TO GO INTO A SLIDE BUT THE AIRBAGS FAILED SLEEP WITH THAT ON YOUR MINDS MY 7 YR OLD SON IS GONE SHE WAS NEGOGINGATING A LEFT HAND TURN IN THE ROAD SHE WAS ON STATE ROUT 53 IN MADERA PENNSYLVANIA
MY CAR HAD A MAJOR GAS LEAK, TOOK IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE AND HAD IT REPAIRED. MECHANIC SAID I SHOULD CHECK INTO GETTING REIMBURSED. I TOOK THE REPAIR BILL TO GANLEY CHEVROLET DEALER LOCATED AT 13865 BROOKPARK RD, BROOKPARK OH 44142. MAN IN SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHECKED WITH HIS SUPERVISOR ABOUT REIMBURSEMENT THEN GAVE ME FORM TO FILL OUT TO SEND TO GMAC FOR REIMBURSEMENT. I CONTACTED GMC TO VERIFY THE CORRECT MAILING ADDRESS AND MAILED THE FORM TO THEM ON AUGUST 6TH THEY SAID I SHOULD GET THE REIMBURSEMENT. I DIDN'T HEAR BACK SO I CALLED THEM ON OCT 15TH. THEY WANTED ME TO FAX PAPERWORK AND REGISTRATION TO THEM AND SAID REIMBURSEMENT WOULD BE FORTHCOMING. I FAXED THE PAPERWORK TO THEM ON OCTOBER 18TH. I RECEIVED A CALL ON OCTOBER 25TH AND WAS TOLD NO REIMBURSEMENT. MY CAR HAD LESS THAN 38,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR, MECHANIC SAID LINES ON FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY WERE DRY ROTTED AND THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. HE HAD TO DROP THE TANK AND REPLACE THE LINES AND THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. COST FOR THE REPAIR WAS $486.00. GMAC REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE REPAIRS. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND THEY REFERRED ME TO THE STATE SECRETARY, I CONTACTED RUTH JOHNSON, SECRETARY OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN PER BBB INSTRUCTIONS. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HER THAT I SHOULD CONTACT YOU. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM WITH THE CAR BUT PER GMAC IT IS NO LONGER VALID. CAN YOU HELP?
THERE'S A STRONG RATTLE NOISE BELOW THE CARS WHICH COMES FROM A PLASTIC GASKET LOCATED ON THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING COLUMN, THIS IS VERY ANNOYING AND DENOTES PPOR MANUFACTURER QUALITY. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME YOU PASS OVER A MINOR OBSTACLE.
FUEL LEAKING FROM RUSTED FUEL LINE AT EXACT PLACE WHERE MANY OTHER COLBALTS ARE LEAKING. MOUNT USED TO SECURE LINES OR TAPE USED TO INSULATE LINES TRAP WATER AND CAUSE PREMATURE RUSTING. LINE AND LEAK IS APPROX. 5 TO 6 INCHES FROM EXHAUST PIPE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET COBALT. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY FAILED. DURING THE FAILURE, THE MESSAGE "POWER STEERING" WAS DISPLAYED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

FUEL LINES HAVE STARTED LEAKING VERY COSTLY TO REPAIR THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND THESE FUEL LINES REPLACED THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE
HEADLIGHTS FAILING WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF REPLACEMENT. BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE. LOW BEAM. I HAVE REPLACED BOTH SIDE AT LEAST 3 TIMES IN LAST 75,000 MILES.
FUEL LEAKING FROM DRIVER'S SIDE REAR OF VEHICLE. PIPES WERE CORRODED AND THE FUEL LEAK WAS CREATING PUDDLES IN MY GARAGE AND ON THE GROUND EVERYWHERE I WOULD GO. BOTH FUEL LINES & THE FUEL FILTER HAD TO BE REPLACED.
DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, POWER STEERING FAILED AND STEERING BECAME VERY DIFFICULT. IT WAS WORSE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SLOW. FOLLOWING THE ROAD WAS VERY DIFFICULT.
THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE, MY CAR WONT START AND THE ANTI THEFT ON THE DASH COMES ON BUT THERE'S NOTHING ON TO KILL THE BATTERY. ALSO SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING MY SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON BUT GOES OFF RIGHT AFTER. LAST THING IS MY POWER LOCKS WOULD GO CRAZY JUST LOCKING AND UNLOCKING EITHER WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF OR IN MOTION.

THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND FUEL ON THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN CHEVROLET DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE WAS LEAKING. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS LEAKING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 215,000.
SO, I OPEN THE SWITCH OF THE CAR AND WHEN I SEE WAS A BIG LEAK OF GAS ON THE FLOOR AND I DOUBLE CHECK AND IT WAS GASOLINE I SCARED AND DON'T MOVE THE CAR. I CHECK ON LINE AND THEY SAID THE COBALT 2009 HAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM 12V459000 FUEL SYSTEM AND I CALL THE DEALER AND SAID MY CAR NOT COVERED FOR RECALL. IS VERY DANGERUS CAN GET FIRE AND INVOLVED LIVES.
GAS SMELL AFTER DRIVING CAR. THIS IS A RECALL FOR THIS YEAR AND MODEL VEHICLE, BUT ONLY IN HOT CLIMATES! SO WHAT IF OUR CAR BLOWS UP IN OUR GARAGE DUE TO GAS FUMES. THE GAS FUME VOLUME IS HIGH, AND I FEEL UNSAFE.
NOTICEABLE GAS SMELL FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND THEN NOTICED GAS DRIPPING FROM FUEL LINE JUST IN FRONT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR WHEEL. LEAK WAS AT A CLAMP ATTACHED TO THE UNDERBODY. DRIPPING AT A RATE OF 20-30 DROPS A MINUTE.
CAR STARTED TO HAVE A FUEL SMELL AFTER TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE AND EXITING THE CAR TO THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL. THE SMELL WOULD ONLY HAPPEN WHEN EXITING. AFTER LOOKING UNDER, I NOTICED A SMALL PUDDLE OF FUEL ON THE GROUND, AND AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION, I FOUND THAT THE FUEL LINES HAVE A LEAK AROUND THE CLIP HOLDING THE FUEL LINES ONTO FRAME.

THE VEHICLE ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS A FUEL ODOR IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AND FUEL WAS NOTICED ON THE DRIVEWAY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JOSEPH CHEVROLET (8733 COLERAIN AVE, CINCINNATI, OH 45251) FOR OTHER REPAIRS AND THE FAILURE BEGAN AFTER THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ONLY CONFIRMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
LEAKING FUEL LINES ABOVE EXHAUST. WHERE THE FUEL LINE COMES DOWN OUT OF THE TANK AND RUNS FORWARD, THERE IS A HOLDER THAT WAS WEARING ON THE FUEL LINE AND CAUSED A HOLE AND A LEAK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (CRISWELL CHEVROLET OF THURMONT, 111 FREDERICK ROAD, THURMONT, MD 21788) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINE AND FUEL PUMP MODULE WERE RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V459000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
WHEN PARKED I KEEP SMELLING STRONG GAS SMELL. I STARTED TO WORRY AS IT GOT STRONGER AND STRONGER SO I LOOKED UNDER THE CAR AND FOUND GAS LEAKING DOWN THE BACK SIDE AND FRONT SIDE OF THE GAS TANK. DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD THING AND I SEE WHERE THEY HAVE RECALLED MY SAME YEAR MODEL FROM OTHER STATES. I LIVE CLOSE TO FLA WHICH COULD BE REASON FOR MY FUEL SYSTEM TO FAIL FROM TEMPERATURE. I FEEL THAT IT ISN'T SAFE AT ALL AND I HAVE TO HAVE THIS CAR FOR WORK AND TRAVEL BUT CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE IT FIXED DUE TO GM NOT PRODUCING UP TO STANDARDS. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE IT AND HOPE THAT NOTHING CATCHES FIRE.
ELECTROMAGNETIC METER (EMF METER FOR BOTH WIRELESS & NON-WIRELESS FORMS OF ELECTRICAL RADIATION) USED TO MEASURE ELECTRICAL RADIATION LEVELS READ HIGH LEVELS OF RADIATION THAT THE METER FELT WAS OVER-THE-LIMIT ONLY WHEN POWERING THE VEHICLE ON BUY TURNING THE KEY (WITH A BATTERY & GAS IN THE VEHICLE). THE INCREASE OF ELECTRICAL POWER SEEMS TO BE THE CAUSE OF THE METER INCREASING. THERE ARE MANY WIRES THAT WERE UNDER THE SEAT THAT ARE SETTING OFF THE METER WHEN HELD WITHIN 12 INCHES OF IT (IN THE AREA THE DRIVER & PASSENGER WOULD SIT - ON THE SEAT). PERHAPS, A RECALL AND ELECTROMAGNETIC SHIELDING NEEDS TO BE ADDED IN THE AREA WHERE THE PASSENGERS AND DRIVERS SIT.
WHILE I WAS STARTING THE CAR MY AIR BAG LIGHTS STARTED BLINKING ON AND OFF. WHILE TRAVELING ON CITY STREETS THE AIR BAGS WAS ALSO BLINKING ON AND OFF.
FUEL LINE ROTTED OUT NEAR MIDDLE OF CAR. IT WAS NOT LEAKING WHEN I LEFT THE HOUSE, BUT SMELLED OF GAS WHEN I GOT TO WORK, AND WAS MISSING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FUEL. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY IN-LAWS WHO HAVE A COBALT. ABSOLUTE JUNK, WITH NO THOUGHT OF BEING DESIGNED WITH CORROSION RESISTANCE IN MIND. UNDERSIDE OF CAR IS HOSED OFF EVERY OTHER WEEK DURING WINTER MONTHS, NOT OTHER VEHICLES HAVE EXPERIENCED FUEL LINE FAILURES DESPITE INCREASED RELATIVE AGE.

THE CONTACT WAS AFRAID THE STEERING ABILITY MAY SEIZE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD OR A BUSY HIGHWAY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE BEGAN APPROXIMATELY ONE AND A HALF MONTHS AGO. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,621.
THE KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND YOU HAVE TO WIGGLE AND JIGGLE THE KEY AND THE SHIFTER TO GET IT TO COME OUT. DROVE THE VEHICLE A SHORT DISTANCE APPROX 15 MILES, PARKED AND KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT. SPENT APPROX 15 MINUTES TRYING TO GET KEY OUT, FINALLY AFTER MUCH WIGGLING AND JIGGLING IT CAME OUT.
FUEL LINE LEAK DUE TO ABRASION BY BODY CLIP. LEAK LOCATED FORWARD OF LEFT REAR WHEEL WHERE FUEL LINE IS INSULATED FROM EXHAUST
I STARTED NOTICING A STRONG GAS SMELL WHEN I WAS EXITING MY CAR. AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION, MY GAS LINE WAS DRIPPING AT A VERY FAST PACE AND THERE WAS A SMALL PUDDLE OF GAS UNDER MY CAR. I ALSO DID A FEW GOOGLE SEARCHES, AND I QUICKLY FOUND OUT THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY 2009 CHEVY COBALT OWNER TO RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM. I FIRST NOTICED THIS WHEN I WOULD GET HOME FROM WORK AND PARK MY CAR WHEN I STARTED NOTICING THE SMELL.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
STEERING COLUMN RATTLES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET COBALT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO SAFETY PRE-INSPECTION STICKER WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED FROM DEL CHEVROLET (1644 LANCASTER AVE, PAOLI, PA 19301, (484) 324-4265). AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE FAILED INSPECTION. THE INSPECTION SHOP INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED REPLACEMENT, THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT, FOUR NEW TIRES, AND A NEW LOWER CONTROL ARM AND BALL JOINT. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE STALLED ON MORE THAN ONCE OCCASION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V171000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, 14E021000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), AND 14V047000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
MY VEHICLE TRANSMISSION WAS STUCK IN PARK, IT WOULDN'T START AND WOULD STILL ROLL WHEN IN PARK. WE HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION IT WAS A FAULTY TRANSMISSION CABLE CLIP OR INSTALLED IMPROPERLY. I HAVE CONTACTED GM ABOUT A RECALL AND SAID IT WAS CLOSED DUE TO A DEALERS INSPECTION IN 2012. I HAVE SINCE TAKEN IT IN TO GET FIXED AND IT APPEARS IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE RECALLED PART. GM STILL REFUSES TO COVER IT. I AM ENCLOSING BELOW MY EMAIL TO GM BELOW WITH ATTACHMENTS AND LINKS. WHEN STARTING TO DRIVE & DRIVING CAR AND MAKING TURNS ON CITY STREETS OR HIGHWAY, THE POWER STEERING STICKS AND MAKES IT HARD TO TURN - SOMETIMES HAVING TO USE BOTH HANDS TO CONTROL THE TURN. THE STICKING IS NOT NORMAL AND SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING.
FUEL LEAK IN LINES - LINES RUST THROUGH - LINES LOCATED BETWEEN REAR WHEEL AND DRIVERS SEAT. I SEE MANY OWNERS REPORTING THE SAME PROBLEM. CLEARLY A FUEL LEAK WHICH CAN LEAD TO A FIRE OR EXPLOSION. MANY STAINS LEFT ON THE DRIVEWAY AND IN THE GARAGE. DEALER WANTS $1200 TO REPAIR. THIS IS ONLY A 10 YEAR OLD CAR. I HAVE MANY CARS WHERE THE FUEL LINES HAVE NOT RUSTED. NO COLLISION DAMAGE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET COBALT. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT EXITED AND NOTICED A VERY STRONG ODOR OF FUEL. WEBB CHEVROLET PLAINFIELD (16140 S LINCOLN HWY, PLAINFIELD, IL 60586) INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE REPAIR WOULD BE AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
SOMETIME IN EARLY FEBRUARY OF 2018 I NOTICED THE SMELL GASOLINE ANYTIME I APPROACHED THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR TO GET IN THE CAR. I ALSO NOTICED THE GASOLINE WHEN I EXITED THE CAR AFTER DRIVING. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND I WAS ADVISED THE FUEL LINES WERE LEAKING DUE TO RUST AND CORROSION. I HAD TO HAVE THE FUEL LINE AND VAPOR RETURN REPLACED IMMEDIATELY DUE TO THE DANGER PRESENTED BY LEAKING FUEL LINES. THE APPOINTMENT WITH MY MECHANIC WHEN THE FUEL LINES WERE REPLACED OCCURRED ON 2/19/2018. WHY AM FILING A COMPLAINT NOW? I SAW AN ARTICLE PUBLISHED BY THE ASSOCIATED PRESS PUBLISHED ON 7/7/2020 STATING THE US WAS LOOKING INTO FUEL LEAKS IN OLDER CHEVY COBALTS AND CHEVY HHRS. AT THE TIME THE ISSUE WITH MY FUEL LINES HAPPENED, I DIDN'T BELIEVE I HAD ANY RECOURSE, SO I TOOK NO ACTION. AFTER SEEING THE ARTICLE, I WANTED THE NHTSA TO HAVE THIS INFORMATION SO THE INVESTIGATION IS AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE. I CAN PROVIDE A RECEIPT SHOWING I HAD THE FUEL LINES REPLACED IF NEEDED.
MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING A CAR WITH A FUEL LEAK THAT IS HAS A RECALL IN SOME STATES FOR THE PROBLEM BUT NOT IN MINE. RECALL # 090226 , HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE, PLEASE HELP! I THINK I HAVE TO WORK AS HARD FOR MY MONEY AS OTHER STATES, AND I AM CERTAIN MY CAR COST AS MUCH TO PURCHASE AS IN OTHER STATES. HER CAR HAS FUEL DRIPPING BETWEEN THE DRIVERS DOOR AND LEFT REAR WHEEL. APPEARS TO BE STARTING AROUND TOP OF TANK LOCATION.
THE KEY WILL NOT TURN OFF - IT IS STUCK IN EITHER THE "ACCESSORY" OR "ON" POSITION. THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY BUT CANNOT BE MOVED TO BE FIXED.
MY SON AND I WENT TO A LOCAL FAST FOOD RESTAURANT TO PICK UP DINNER, WHEN WE GOT BACK IN THE CAR IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER AND THE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN IT WAS RESTARTED THE NEXT DAY IT SEEMS TO BE FINE.

THE FUEL LINES THAT ARE WRAPPED IN THE HEAT PROTECTIVE TAPE ON THE DRIVER REAR SIDE JUST AS THEY TURN UP TO GO TO THE FUEL TANK ARE RUSTED OUT BECAUSE THE HEAT SHIELD PROTECTOR HOLDS WATER ON THE FUEL LINES AND NOW MINE ARE RUSTED OUT AND LEAKING FUEL ALL OVER THE GROUND BY MY EXHAUST. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE THAT HASN'T BEEN ADDRESSED WITH MANY CHEVY PRODUCTS. NOW IT'S GOING TO COST ABOUT $600 TO REPLACE THE LINES. CHEVY IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY WITH THIS DEFECT AND COSTING PEOPLE MONEY AND PUTTING LIVES IN DANGER BY HAVING A LEAK PRONE LINE RIGHT BY THE HOT EXHAUST. PLEASE TAKE ACTION ON THIS. I HAD AT LEAST A GALLON SPRAY OUT WHILE DRIVING AND IT CONTINUED TO LEAK WHEN PARKED.
