VEHICLE HAS BEEN POPPING UP SERVICE STABIL TRAK - HOWEVER DEALERSHIP AND ONSTAR HAS RAN DIAGNOSTICS NO CODES POPULATE- HAVE EXPERIENCE RADIO SHUTTING OFF AND LOSING CONTROL OF VEHICLE - THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL ARTICLES ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH 2011-2015 CHEVY CRUZE. AFRAID WHATEVER THIS ISSUE IS WILL CAUSE HARM TO OTHER PEOPLE THIS IS NOT A SINGLE PERSON ISSUE EVERYONE WITH THIS MODEL IS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SERVICE STABIL TRAK THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOK INTO. DRIVING IN MOTION TURNING CORNER LOSING CONTROL OF STEERING FOR A BRIEF SECOND - POWER RADIOS SHUTTING OFF AND DASHBOARD BLINKS WITH ALL LIGHTS. THIS CAR IS AT 67K MILES
I HAPPEN TO CHECK UNDER MY HOOD TO SEE WHY I WASN'T GETTING ANY HEAT IN MY CAR. I THEN CAME TO REALIZE THAT THERE WASN'T ANY COOLANT, WHEN I WAS THERE ONE 10 DAYS PRIOR AT THE DEALERSHIP TO GET MY OIL CHANGED AND THE PAPER STATED THAT ALL FLUIDS WERE CHECKED. I THEN NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP, AND PUT SOME COOLANT IN MY CAR SO I WOULDN'T CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR. THEY CHECK IT, CLAIMED THERE WASN'T ANYTHING GOING ON WITH IT. AND SENT ME HOME. I THEN HAD A COWORKER TELL ME THAT WHAT I WAS DESCRIBING WAS MY WATER PUMP. I THEN NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN THAT I WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES, AND THAT I AM NOW SMELLING COOLANT IN THE CAR AND MY CAR ACT LIKE ITS READY TO STALL.. THEY GOT ME BACK IN AND CHECKED WHAT I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT. THEY FOUND OUT I WAS RIGHT IT WAS THE WATER PUMP.. I HAD FOUND A RECALL ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING AND SHOWED THEM, AND BECAUSE THEY CHECKED BY VIN NUMBER MY CAR DIDN'T HAVE THIS RECALL BUT MY CAR SHOULD HAVE. IT WAS FOR THE 1.4 ENGINE, NOT MY 1.8. I HAD MY WATER PUMP REPLACED, MY THERMOSTAT AND I AM STILL HAVING ISSUES. THIS CAR IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AND SHOULDN'T HAVE THESE PROBLEMS SO EARLY. GM NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING FOR ALL CRUZE OWNERS CAUSE I AM TIRED OF SPENDING OVER 600 DOLLARS AND STILL HAVING ISSUES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF, RESTARTED THE ENGINE, AND THE VEHICLE RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (TITUS-WILL CHEVROLET BUICK, 2580 N NATIONAL AVE, CHEHALIS, WA 98532). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,745.
MY WIFE AND I ARE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND ON EVERY LEFT TURN WE MAKE THE STEERING LOCKS UP AND THE STABILITY TRACK LIGHT COMES ON AND ALL POWER GOES OFF FOR A BRIEF MOMENT. I LOSE TOTAL CONTROL OF VEHICLE AND HAVE TO SLAM ON BREAKS TO KEEP FROM SWERVING INTO OTHER LANES. THIS IS NOT A HEALTHY LOOK. THIS HAPPENED 9/7/17. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE CAUSE IN FEAR OF HURTING SOMEONE. I AM A LYFT DRIVER AND CANNOT TAKE A CHANCE OF GETTING A CUSTOMER HURT. THIS PROBLEM REALLY NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR A YEAR AND 4 DAYS AND SHOULD NOT BE GOING THROUGH THESE PROBLEMS. I AM DRIVING A 2014 CHEVY CRUZE. THIS IS A VERY HAZARDOUS PROBLEM AND COULD REALLY GET SOMEONE HURT THIS NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED BY CHEVY. MY WIFE AND I WERE TRAVELING ON PRESTON RD TO HWY 380 TRAVELING FROM PLANO TO AUBREY TX. WHEN THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WITH US.
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH THICK FOG, I TURNED THE WHIPERS ON TO WIPE AWAY SWEET FROM THE WINDOW. THE DRIVERS SIDE WIPER WENT UP, AND JUST STUCK THERE. I PULLED OVER AND WAS ABLE TO LOWER THE BLADE, BUT THAT WIPER WILL NOT WORK.
THE CAR WAS TAKEN IN TO BE ROUTINELY SERVICED AND IT WAS NOTICED THAT THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK. THE DEALERSHIP ONLY PROVIDE A TEMPORARY FIX. TRYING TO GET AN APT AS A FOLLOWUP WAS POINTLESS, BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THEY WERE BUSY. WELL, THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE AND THE SERV ICE DEPT. REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND THAT THEY WERE TOO BUSY THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN ON A HIGHWAY, THERE WAS A POPPING SOUND, AND THEN THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE.

THE CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.
VEHICLE RIDING NORMAL AND SUDDENLY STARTS DECELERATING. PUSHING ON GAS PEDAL ONLY MAKES CAR SLOW QUICKER. HAS OCCURRED 3 TIMES ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS AND ONCE ON CITY STREETS. HAVE BEEN BACK TO DEALER 3 TIMES UNDER WARRANTY WITH NO FIX. CAR HAS 33,175 MILES AND DEALER WANTS $99 TO "DRIVE IT AROUND AND SEE IF THEY CAN DETERMINE THE CAUSE". TO RESUME DRIVING YOU MUST STOP, SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, AND GIVE ENGING A BIT OF GAS. THEN YOU CAN RESUME DRIVING NORMALLY. I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING, BUT AGAIN WHEN I PUSHED ACCELERATOR THE SPEED DROPPED FASTER AGAIN. THE ELECTRONICS GIVE NO CODES OR LIGHTS AND 3 OCCURRENCES WERE AT HIGHWAY SPEED OF 60 MPH WITH NO ROOM TO MANEUVER OVER TO SIDE OF ROAD. TODAY I NEARLY HAD MULTIPLE CARS BEHIND ME CRASH AS THEY BRAKED OR SWERVED TO MISS ME. DEALER IS MARHOFERCHEVROLET IN STOW, OHIO.
CAR ONLY HAS 50,500 MILES ON IT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON FOR GAS AIR INTAKE PROBLEMS AND MAYBE GASKET PROBLEMS. CAR WILL BE IDLE AT A LIGHT AND THE RPMS WILL REV UP AND DOWN CONSTANTLY. SEEN WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH EVEN LESS MILES ON THEIR CARS. SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING. $300.00 FIX QUOTE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, IT CAUGHT FIRE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS LOW SPEEDS, THE AIR CONDITIONER SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED THE AIR CONDITIONER BACK ON, SMOKE ENTERED INTO THE CABIN. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND OPENED THE HOOD, BUT THERE WAS NO SMOKE. UPON CLOSING THE HOOD, THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY FILLED WITH SMOKE AND THE CONTACT NOTICED A FLAME THAT IGNITED UNDER THE DASHBOARD TO THE RIGHT OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT CALLED THE POLICE AND FILED A POLICE REPORT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. XCHANGE LEASING, AN UBER COMPANY, WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FIRE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO HER INSURANCE COMPANY. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND REQUESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE INSPECTED BY A THIRD PARTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT FOUND THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED THE INCORRECT FUEL INFORMATION. THE CONTACT RAN OUT OF FUEL TWICE DUE TO THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT TOOK 48 HOURS BEFORE THE GAUGE WAS ACCURATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WEST HERR CHEVROLET OF WILLIAMSVILLE (LOCATED AT 8040 TRANSIT RD, WILLIAMSVILLE, NY 14221 (716) 406-6151) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
"TAKARA RECALL" MY 14 CHEVY CRUZE TURBO WHEN OUT, THERE IS A RECALL ON SOME OF THE 14 CHEVY CRUZE BUT THE CUT OFF DATE WAS IN MARCH AND MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED IN JUNE. CAR HAS TOTALED LOSS OF POWER AND STARTING TO SMELL OIL BURNING
WHILE DRIVING TRYING TO ACCELERATE CARS HESITATES THAN DRIVES NORMALLY DEALER CLAIMS CAR IS FINE WAS CHECK BY THEIR MECHANIC BEFORE BEING SOLD. WHEN DRIVING ON FREEWAY TO CHANGE LANES CAR HESITATES WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. FEELS LIKE POWER IS DELAYED.
THE FUEL GAUGES, BOTH DIGITAL AND ANALOG, SHOWED THAT THE DISTANCE TO EMPTY WAS 70 MILES. ACTUALLY, THERE WAS NO GASOLINE LEFT IN THE TANK AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. AFTER THE FIRST TIME, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WEST HERR CHEVROLET IN BUFFALO, NY, WHICH DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM AS RUNNING OUT OF GASOLINE. THE FUEL GAUGES ARE DEFECTIVE. WHEN THE TANK WAS FILLED AFTER RUNNING OUT OF GASOLINE, THE GAUGES CONTINUED TO READ THAT THERE WAS ONLY 70 MILES TO EMPTY FOR AN ADDITIONAL 24 HOURS OR MORE.
AT AROUND 4,800 MI MY FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW WAS ROLLED DOWN AND UPON TRYING TO ROLL UP, IT FAILED TO DO SO. ABOUT 1 WEEK LATER, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DID THE EXACT SAME THING. I WAS ABLE TO PULL BOTH WINDOWS UP IN THE CLOSED POSITION. DURING COMMON FREEWAY DRIVE THE REGULAR SHAKING CAUSES THE WINDOWS TO OPEN SLIGHTLY, THIS IS NOT THE ISSUE. HOWEVER, DURING ONE SPECIFIC DRIVE, THE DRIVER WINDOW SLIPPED OUT OF THE REAR WEATHERSTRIPPING AND THE TOP REAR CORNER OF THE WINDOW WAS PROTRUDING UP AND OUT. THE CONCERN OF MY DRIVERS' WINDOW GLASS FLYING OUT WAS SCARY AND I HAD TO HOLD IT IN PLACE WITH ONE HAND AND DRIVE WITH THE OTHER UNTIL IT WAS SAFE TO PULL OVER AND TRY TO PLACE IT BACK IN. IF I WERE TO LEAVE THE WINDOWS DOWN, IT SIGNIFICANTLY RAISES THE POSSIBLY OF THEFT. I FEEL THIS IS A GOOD CONCERN TO REPORT AS I WAS AFRAID FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS ON THE ROAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS REPLACED TWICE AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE PERSISTED BUT WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.

THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER AGAIN WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY WIRE NEEDED TO BE TIGHTENED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER THE THIRD TIME WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE STILL RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD CALL THE CONTACT BACK, BUT THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALLS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
WHILE DRIVING MULTIPLE TIMES THE "SERVICE POWER STEERING" MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DASH. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME TIGHT AND AS I TURNED THE CAR JERKED OUTWARD ALMOST CAUSING ME TO HIT OTHER VEHICLE. ALSO THE MESSAGE "OPEN, THEN CLOSE DRIVER WINDOW" APPEARS FREQUENTLY. THE RADIO AND SPEEDOMETER FLICKERS ON AND OFF AT TIMES. I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BUT THE THE SPECIFIC AREA IS UNKNOWN. ANOTHER INCIDENT OCCURRED THAT CAUSED THE CAR NOT TO START ON 7/172017
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE, WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS AND FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED EACH TIME THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PADDOCK CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 3232 DELAWARE AVE KENMORE, NY 14217) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP AND PIPE ASSEMBLY WERE MISSING FROM THE VEHICLE AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED UNDER THE WARRANTY DUE TO THE MISSING PART. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,800.
CAR SHAKES WHEN BREAKING AT HIGH SPEEDS, CAR SOUND SYSTEM SHUTS OFF AND BLINKED NOISES STOP. ABS, EBRAKE LIGHT, AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COME ON. SCREEN BEHIND WHEEL DISPLAYS "SERVICEABLE STABILITRAK" AND "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" MESSAGES. VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND BRAKES ARE USUALLY BEING PRESSED. SHAKING OF VEHICLE HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY AND MESSAGES AND LIGHT APPEAR WHILE ON CITY STREETS.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, ALL THE POWER WENT OFF AND THE STEERING SEIZED FOR A SHORT PERIOD AND THEN CAME BACK ON AND RESET ITSELF. THIS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN 30 MINUTES. THIS ALSO OCCURRED WHEN BACKING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY WHERE ALL POWER WAS LOST AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED UNTIL IT CAME BACK ON AND RESET ITSELF. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHERE LIVES ARE AT STAKE AND FIND IT APPAULING THAT GM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT RATHER ISSUING A SERVICE BULLETIN? THESE COMPLAINTS ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET . . . OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A CRITICAL ISSUE FOR MANY CONSUMERS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. WHILE STATIONARY, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK FROM BEHIND AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE WRIST, ELBOW, AND NOSE, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO COLLISION KING OF HOUSTON, TEXAS. IT WAS NOT YET DETERMINED WHETHER OR NOT THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE CRASH. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
NO CRANK OR START 13 BODY CONTROL MODULE CODES,CONTROL MODULE BAD OR WIRING SHORT.
THE ELECTRICAL SCREEN PORTION OF THE CAR RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF AND BLINKS BACK ON. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN I'M UTILIZING THE SCREEN GPS. THE ENTIRE SCREEN WILL TURN OFF WITH NO WARNING. IT APPEARS TO RESET ITSELF. AS THE SCREEN TURNS BACK ON WITH THE "CHEVY" HOME SCREEN. IT HAPPENS BOTH WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY (IE. JUST TURNED ON,) AS WELL AS WHEN I AM IN MOTION. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER A YEAR, BUT HAS RECENTLY BECOME MORE FREQUENT- HAPPENING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.
THE SUNROOF GLASS SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING. GLASS RAINED DOWN ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. THE EXPLOSIVE SOUND ALMOST MADE ME LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. CHEVROLET HAS A RECALL ON THE 2014 CRUZE FOR THE SUNROOF GLASS. THE RECALL SAYS THE GLASS THAT WAS INSTALLED IS SUPPOSEDLY TOO THIN AND MAY FAIL. THE DEALER SAYS THAT MY VIN IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I BELIEVE THAT THE SUNROOF GLASS RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED BECAUSE MY GLASS FAILED IN A SIMILAR MANNER TO THOSE UNDER THE RECALL. THE FAILED GLASS WAS BOWED UPWARD INDICATING THAT IT WAS AN INTERNAL FAILURE NOT A ROCK HITTING IT.
MY WIFE HAD COME BACK FROM A DR. APPT. APPROX. 52 MILES AWAY FROM HER PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT ON MONDAY 5/15/17 AT APPROX. 1:15PM. AS SHE APPROACHED HER EMPLOYMENT, SHE MADE A LEFT TURN ON A SIDE STREET THAT SEPARATES TWO AUTO DEALERSHIPS, WHERE EMPLOYEES PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET. SHE NOTICED AN EMPTY PARKING SPOT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE STREET AND DECIDED TO MAKE A U-TURN TO PARK THERE. AS SHE SLOWED DOWN TO ATTEMPT THE U-TURN, SHE MADE A SLIGHT LEFT TO BEGIN THE U-TURN AND AT THAT MOMENT ALL THE VEHICLE'S WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH LIT UP, THE MESSAGE CENTER SCREEN LOCATED AT THE CENTER OF THE CLUSTER ON THE DASH READ "STABILINK SYSTEM DISABLED" AND HAD LOST ALL POWER STEERING. UPON LOSING STEERING, THE STEERING WHEEL SNAPPED BACK AND BROKE HER WRIST IN TWO PLACES. THE LOSS OF STEERING RESULTED IN OUR VEHICLE SLIGHTLY IMPACTING THE VEHICLE PARKED TO HER IMMEDIATE RIGHT. I (HER HUSBAND) ARRIVED LITERALLY MINUTES AFTER THE LOSS OCCURRED, TRIAGED HER ARM AND NEEDED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE STREET. UPON ENTERING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS STILL RUNNING AND HAD NOTICED ALL THE DASH AND VEHICLE WARNING LIGHTS ON, INCLUDING THE "STABILINK DISABLED" MESSAGE ON THE DASH. AS I BEGAN TO DRIVE IT APPROX. 20 YARDS TO AN EMPTY PARKING SPACE, THE VEHICLE HAD NO POWER STEERING YET IT WAS RUNNING. APPROX. 9 HOURS LATER, I HAD GONE BACK TO THE VEHICLE TO ATTEMPT TO DRIVE IT TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP TO STORE IT AND UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, ALL SYSTEMS WERE RUNNING AGAIN, NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE PRESENT ON THE DASH AND THE POWER STEERING HAD BEEN RESTORED. I ATTEMPTED TO FIND ANY INDICATION OF A PROBLEM THRU THE MESSAGE CENTER WITHOUT SUCCESS. I FILED AN INSURANCE CLAIM ON APPROX. 5/19, HAD THE VEHICLE PRESERVED FOR EVIDENCE AND IS NOW CURRENTLY STORED AND NOT MOVED AT THE BODY SHOP. AS OF 6/15, INJURY SCIENCES LLC IS SCHEDULED TO PLUG INTO THE ECU OR DATA EVENT RECORDER.

MY CAR IS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE AND ONLY HAD 17,000 MILES ON IT WHEN MY FUEL PUMP WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY STREET AT NIGHT. WENT BACK AND FORTH WITH THEM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHEN THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER WAS GOING TO BE THERE. 2 WEEKS WENT BY AND I WAS STILL PAYING FOR A CAR RENTAL AND THEY HADN'T STARTED ON MY CAR YET. INSURANCE ADJUSTER CAME OUT AND SAID THEY WOULD COVER IF IT WAS VANDALISM BUT HE DIDN'T THINK IT WAS VANDALISM. I DIDN'T EITHER SINCE I WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND I WAS HAVING FUEL PROBLEMS BEFORE. SO MY DEDUCTIBLE WAS KIND OF HIGH AND INSURANCE SAID IT WASN'T WORTH IT TO COVER FOR THAT LITTLE BIT OF MONEY AND I AGREED. IT TOOK THEM LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS TO FIX IT. BECAUSE THE INITIAL FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED BY MY LOCAL LICENSED REPAIR FACILITY, GM WILL NOT HONOR POWERTRAIN WARRANTY UNTIL IT WAS VERIFIED BY A AUTHORIZED CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. THAT VERIFICATION WAS PERFORMED TODAY, MAY 30, 2017... VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 74,000+/- MILES. WHEN I SPOKE BY PHONE WITH GM CUSTOMER SERVICE ON APRIL 24,2017, GM ASSIGNED A CHASE FILE AND SAID THAT UPON VERIFICATION OF THE FAILURE BY AN AUTHORIZED CHEVROLET DEALER, THEY (GM) WOULD WORK WITH ME TO DETERMINE A LEVEL OF MONETARY PARTICIPATION FOR THE REPAIR. I CALLED GM TODAY, UPON WORD FROM THE CHEVY DEALER THAT THEY DID INDEED VERIFY THE FAILURE OF THE TRANSMISSIONS 3RD GEAR. NOW, GM INFORMS ME THAT THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY AND ALL COSTS MUST BE COVERED BY THE VEHICLE OWNER. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. I AM ATTACHING A FILE OF THE RECEIPT FROM THE INITIAL EVALUATION PERFORMED AT MY LOCAL REPAIR SHOP.

I HAVE HAVE TO HAVE A PCV VALUE COVER/INTAKE MANIFOLD REPLACED IN MY CAR 3 TIMES. MY CAR IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THAT WARRANTY WILL EXPIRE. TURBO/ SUPER CHARGER FOR 2014 CRUZE LT GASOLINE ENGINE HAS CAUSED A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THERE HAS BEEN MULTIPLE REPORTS FOR THE 2014 CRUZE LT THAT THE SUPER CHARGER CRACKS AND LEAKS EXHAUST FUMES INTO THE TURBO CHARGER WHICH RESTRICTS THE TURBINE FROM FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AND NORMAL COST JUST TO BUY THE PART IS 800 USD TO 1200 USD TO PURCHASE EXCLUDING INSTALL COST. ON THE SECOND DAY THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE HOOD WHICH IT SOUNDED VERY CLOSE TOWARDS THE ENGINE, EXHAUST PART OF THE CAR. WHEN IT DID COME BACK ON THERE WAS A LOT OF LIGHTS POPPING UP AND THEN THERE WAS A "STABILI TRAK" LIGHT ON. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE BECAUSE I KNEW I COULDN'T DRIVE IT ANYMORE. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AND I TOOK IT IN THAT SAME DAY. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A WIRE THAT WAS LOOSE AND THEY HAD FIXED IT. WELL THEY DID NOT, 3 WEEKS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON THEN. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND NOW I AM BACK TO THE SAME THING EXCEPT SOMETHING NEW. NOT ONLY DOES MY LIGHT COME UP AND MY STEERING WHEEL STILL LOCKS ON ME BUT MY CAR BEGAN SHAKING LAST NIGHT AND WHEN I WOULD DRIVE IT IT WOULD MAKE THE SAME LOUD NOISE FROM THE BEGINNING TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE CAR TOWARDS THE ENGINE, AND IT WOULD HESITATE ON GOING WHEN I WOULD MAKE A STOP. LIKE IF IT WAS ABOUT TO FULLY TURN OFF SO MY CAR GOT TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP LAST NIGHT. IF I'M STEERED JUST SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT, IT'LL STICK GOING SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT AND IT TAKES A BIT MORE EFFORT TO "BUST IT" LOOSE TO CORRECT YOUR DIRECTION. SAME IS TRUE IF EXACTLY STRAIGHT OR SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT. IT DOESN'T FEEL DANGEROUS, BUT IS LESS THAN TOTALLY SAFE AS THE WHEEL TYPICALLY OVERSTEERS THE OTHER DIRECTION WHEN USING ADDITIONAL EFFORT TO CORRECT MY DRIFTING. THIS OCCURS USUALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND DOESN'T NECESSARILY REQUIRE GOING IN THE SAME STRAIGHT DIRECTION FOR A LONG TIME. I ENTERED TODAY'S DATE AS A SINGLE DATE IS REQUIRED BUT IT OCCURS VERY FREQUENTLY, ESPECIALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR WANDERS IN THE LANE AND WHEN YOU TRY TO CORRECT THE STEERING IT SEEMS TO LAG OR STICK AND YOU NEED TO PUT EXTRA PRESSURE ON STEERING TO MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. IT HAPPENS OVER AND OVER WHILE I WAS DRIVING. WITH THE LAG OR STICKING DURING THE CORRECTION THE CAR MOVES QUICKLY FOR A SECOND IN THE DIRECTION YOU ARE STEERING. SO WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WANDERS IN THE LANE AND EVERY CORRECTION YOU GET THIS LAG OF STICKING.
ON 7/28/16 THIS MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. A LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE SHIFT CABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. ON 9/28/16, THE CAR AGAIN WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. THE SHIFT CABLE WAS REPLACED AGAIN. A FEW DAYS LATER, NO REVERSE. WHEN CHECKED OUT AGAIN, REVERSE WORKED! NOW THIS PAST WEEK, IT WOULDN'T SHIFT INTO 3RD, 4TH, OR 5TH GEARS WHILE DRIVING. WHILE IN 3RD, 4TH OR 5TH GEAR, THE TACH RPM WAS JUMPING ALL OVER THE DIAL.THE CAR COULD ONLY BE DRIVEN IN 2ND GEAR DOING 15MPH ON A 50MPH ROAD. IT SUBSEQUENTLY STALLED OUT. A DAY LATER IT DID NOT SHIFT INTO ANY GEAR.CAR BACK AT DEALERSHIP. PHONE CALL REFERENCE # 1068173.
I HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED IN JULY OF 2015 FROM THE CHEVROLET SCHUMACHER DEALERSHIP LOCATED IN NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA I CURRENTLY HAVE 61,939MI. MY LAST OIL CHANGE WAS IN 12/2016 AND IS DUE AT 64,000MI. TO DATE I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE FROM INSTALLING NEW SPARK PLUGS, BRAKES THAT SOUND LIKE AN AMTRAK TRAIN, AND NOW MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND MY BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY IS ALREADY EXPIRED AT LIKE 33,000MI. SO NOW I FALL UNDER THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY WHICH COVERS YOUR ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RESERVOIR AND THE COOLANT VALVE HAD FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ONE WEEK LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, THE WATER PUMP AND THE THERMOSTAT WERE ALL REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 142,000.
