The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, she started to smell a burning oil odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated she turned off the heater to stop the odor from entering the cabin. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the turbo oil feed and return line to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with TSB: PI0851B. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
THIS CAR IS CRAZY. STARTS ON ITS OWN IF KEY LEFT IN IGNITION. RADIO GOES ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY. POWER STEERING TRIES TO GO OUT. LIGHTS UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. I FEAR FOR MY LIFE AND IT NEEDS A RECALL.
GETTING CODE P0299 TURBOCHARGER UNDERBOST. THE TURBO CHARGER WAS FOUND TO HAVE A CRACK IN THE HOUSING. WHEN THE CAR HAD 45,000 MILES IT THE OILD FEED LINE EXPLODED AND HAD TO GET REPLACED, THIS WAS ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO WHEN THE OIL FEED HOSE HAD TO GET REPLACE. NOW THE CRUZE HAS A CODE OF P0299 AND THE CAR IS UNDER POWERED.
MY 2014 CHEVY CRUZE LEFT WIPER SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING AND THERE IS A CURRENT RECALL ON IT. THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED JUST A FEW HOURS AND THE WIPERS WERE WORKING. *LN*JB
I ENTERED A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT AND DROVE TO THE FAR END TO PARK. AS I WAS PULLING INTO A SPOT AND SLOWED TO ABOUT 2 OR 3 MILES AN HOUR TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND EXIT THE CAR IT SUDDENLY TOOK OFF AT A VERY FAST SPEED. I COULD NOT STOP IT USING THE BRAKES. THE CAR WENT UP AND OVER A GRASSY ISLAND THAT HAD ABOUT A FOOT OF FROZEN SNOW(ICE) ON IT. THE CAR FLEW OFF THE ISLAND AND CONTINUED AT THIS HIGH SPEED HEADING TOWARD A HILL. AS THIS WAS HAPPENING I WAS TRYING TO STOP THE CAR USING THE BRAKE TO NO AVAIL. BY THE GRACE OF GOD THE CAR STOPPED ABOUT TEN FEET BEFORE SLAMMING INTO THE HILL. A TOW TRUCK WAS CALLED AND THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO OUR MECHANIC. UPON COMPLETION OF THE REPAIRS NEEDED TO THE ITEMS DAMAGED UNDER THE CAR I AM ABLE TO DRIVE IT AGAIN. THE MECHANIC'S INVOICE READS RUN AWAY CAR AND LISTS THESE REPAIRS: THROTTLE BODY AND /OR GASKET--REMOVE AND REPLACE & CLEAN - 1.4L ENG.TURBOCHARGER, ACCELERATOR PEDAL - REMOVE AND REPLACE - ACCELERATOR FOOT PEDAL.

THE VALVE PAN COVER & GASKET KEEPS LEAKING OIL EVEN AFTER BEING REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES. I BOUGHT THIS CAR A YEAR AGO & WAS TOLD NOTHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? I CANT KEEP FIXING THIS PROBLEM AS IT IS RATHER EXPENSIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE ABOVE 37 MPH. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TURBO CHARGER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
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
WHILE IDLING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT I NOTICE THE "ENGINE OVERHEATED - IDLE ENGINE" CAME ON. THIS HAS HAPPEN ON A NUMEROUS OF OCCASIONS. I'VE TAKEN IT IN TO BE CHECKED BUT EVERYTHING WORKS FINE. IT CONTINUES TO DO THIS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK NOW. THERE HAS TO BE A RECALL FOR BECAUSE I'VE RESEARCHED AND FOUND THAT MANY OTHER CHEVY CRUZE OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENING TO THEM.
OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS, I HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRING. THE ENGINE OVERHEATS AND A MESSAGE THAT READS "A/C OFF HIGH ENGINE TEMP" APPEARS. THE HOSE WAS REPLACED, AND IT WAS OK FOR AWHILE, BUT THE PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED TWICE MORE. THE ENGINE GASKET COVER HAD TO BE REPLACED AS WELL, AND LOOKS LIKE IT IS LEAKING AGAIN, AND OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS RANDOMLY, A MESSAGE WILL APPEAR THAT STATES TO SERVICE STABILTRAK. I'VE HAD A COIL PACK REPLACED AND THE MESSAGE WENT AWAY, BUT REAPPEARS EVERY NOW AND THEN, AND UPON START UP OF CAR MOST DAYS, RUNS VERY ROUGH AND I HAVE TO WAIT A MINUTE BEFORE PUTTING INTO GEAR. THE OVERHEATING AND ROUGH ENGINE PROBLEMS KEEP REOCURRING NO MATTER WHAT WORK I HAVE DONE TO IT. MOST RECENT ISSUES WITH THE AC OFF AGAIN, AS OF TODAY, 12/8/2020.

The contact stated that it felt as if the vehicle had lost power however, the vehicle was still running. The contact stated that no warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where no failure could be diagnosed as the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that OnStar was also unable to diagnose the failure. The contact stated that the battery cables were replaced however, the failure continued. The contact stated that she believed that the dealer contacted the manufacturer as she was told by the dealer that they had spoken to an engineer. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
THE REAR SEAT BELT BUCKLE, PASSENGER SIDE, LATCHES BUT COMES UNDONE IF PULLED ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE HER SISTER WAS DRIVING 55 MPH, WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR DRIVER SIDE AND CAUSED HER VEHICLE TO SPIN AROUND, AS A RESULT THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE HIT A WALL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT STATED NO ONE SUSTAINED ANY INJURIES OR SEEKED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THEY WERE ABLE TO DRIVE TO THEIR DESTINATION. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER WEBB CHEVY OAK LAWN (9440 S CICERO AVE, OAK LAWN, IL 60453) AND WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER DEEMED THE VEHICLE WAS LOSS.THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,887.
My engine is making whistling sounds, the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV), is failing. This is causing my check engine light to flicker on and off. The diagnostic codes report that the turbo seal may be cracked due to this issue above.
THE CAR IS A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE LT THAT WAS JUST PURCHASED FROM A USED CAR DEALER AND WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK THE ENGINE RETARDS ITSELF AND THROWS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE CODE READS P0325 WHEN READ. THE WIRING HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT AND HAS NOTHING WRONG. THE KNOCK SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. AFTER BEING REPLACED, THE CODE WILL GO AWAY ANYWHERE FROM A FEW MINUTES TO A MONTH AND THEN THE SAME ISSUE STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN.
VEHICLE WILL LOSE POWER AND SHUT OFF IN MIDDLE OF DRIVING WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE OR SLOWING DOWN, THIS OCCURS ON HIGHWAY, AT STOPLIGHTS, DRIVE THROUGH, AND CITY STREETS WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ECM HAS BEEN REPLACED BUT STILL EXPERIENCE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AS WELL. THIS IS BASICALLY A DEATH TRAP VEHICLE. IT HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES WITH NO SOLUTION.
WHILE IN DRIVE, RADIO, DASH LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS RANDOMLY SHUT OFF. NOT SURE IF TURN SIGNALS ARE WORKING EVEN THOUGH NO SOUND - PRAYING OTHER DRIVERS CAN SEE WHEN I'M TURNING?? SOMETIMES I'M JUST SITTING AT A RED LIGHT AND EVERYTHING GOES QUIET. THE LENGTH OF TIME VARIES, SO IT CAN BE STARTLING WHEN EVERYTHING SUDDENLY COMES BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. OVERALL, MAY SOUND INSIGNIFICANT, BUT THE (WORKING??) TURN SIGNALS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!
THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AS WELL AS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WITH NO PRIOR ISSUES, JUST OUT OF THE BLUE. THE CAR SHAKES WHEN DRIVING. IT HAPPENED 6PM LAST NIGHT, NO ISSUES BEFOREHAND. ITS PARKED OUT FRONT ON THE STREET WHERE I LIVE.
SEEMS TO BANG INTO GEAR WHEN DRIVING/PICKING UP SPEED. ACTS LIKE ENGINE STUMBLE. HAD PCV VALVE REPLACED UNDER RECALL DUE TO SQUEEKING NOISE. VEHICLE STARTED MAKING SAME NOISE AGAIN AND DOESNT SHIFT CORRECTLY. MECHANIC ADVISED OF INCORRECT CRANK CASE PSI DUE TO PCV VALVE PROBLEM. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 27,000 MILES AND SHOULDNT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
THE CAR WILL BE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN, THE CAR WILL BE IDLING FOR SECONDS START SHUDDERING THEN STALL OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL TURN ON. WE THEN HAVE TO SHUT THE CAR OFF WITH THE KEY, CYCLE IT THEN TURN THE CAR BACK ON.
FAULTY TURBOCHARGER, MULTIPLE OWNERS THAT I SPOKE TO HAVE REPLACED THEIR TURBOCHARGER TWICE ONLY TO KNOW THAT IT KEEPS FAILING. THE TURBOCHARGER RUINED MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER WHICH HAD TO BE REPLACE DU TO A CRACK IN THE TURBOCHARGER.
THE VALVE COVER KEEPS BLOWING. THEN IT STARTS LEAKING OIL. WHEN IT BLOWS YOU CAN NOT USE THE AIR BECAUSE IT WILL DECREASE THE POWER IN THE CAR. THERE IS NO ACCELERATION WHEN THIS HAPPENS ALSO. I HAVE HAD THIS REPLACED 3 TIMES ALREADY AND IT JUST BLEW AGAIN. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED. I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR 3 YEARS AND THIS IS THE 4TH TIME WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THIS COSTS ANYWHERE FROM $450 AND UP DEPENDING ON WHERE IT IS FIXED. UNACCEPTABLE. THE VALVE COVER GASKET BLOWS WHILE DRIVING. YOU NOTICE A CHANGE IN CAR POWER AND LACK OF ACCELERATION. THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AS WELL.
WHENEVER I LEAVE THE KEY IN THE IGNITION (USUALLY DO WHEN IT'S PARKED IN MY GARAGE) EVERY NOW AND THEN AFTER PARKING THE CAR, AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THE LIGHTS ALL COME ON AS IF SOMEONE IS TRYING TO START IT. SOMETIMES IT'LL BARELY ROLL OVER. THE STARTER STARTS TO ENGAGE. IT'LL QUIT AND THEN GO INTO COMPLETE OFF MODE. SOMETIMES IT'LL ACTUALLY TRY TO START BUT CAN'T SINCE THE KEY IS IN THE OFF POSITION. IT WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO START REPEATEDLY SOMETIMES. I'VE BEEN KEEPING AN EYE ON IT AND NOW HAVE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION EVERY TIME I PARK THE CAR. THE SERVICE ANTI THEFT LIGHT CAME ON THE MOST RECENT TIME IT HAD HAPPENED. BUT IMMEDIATELY WENT AWAY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND HASN'T CAME BACK SINCE.

PARKED IT AT MY HOUSE WENT TO START IT AND IT LOST ALL POWER BUT THE FLASHERS STAYED ON. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE PASSER TWO WEEKS. I TALKED TO ANOTHER PERSON THAT HAD THE SAME CAR AND THEIRS DID THE SAME THING.

COMMON ISSUE WHERE AN UNDERBOOST EVEN HAPPENS DUE TO CRACK IN TURBO OR FAILED WASTEGATE, WHEN ON HIGHWAY CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WHEN SUDDENLY UNABLE TO MAINTAIN HIGHWAY SPEEDS, ALSO NEGATIBE BATTERY CABLE HAS COMMON ISSUE WHICH REDUCES VOLTAGE PASS THROUGH CAUSING TRACTION CONTROL AND STABIL-TRACK ISSUES WHICH CAN CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL OF VEHICLE IN HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS.

The driver immediately removed the ignition key to turn off the vehicle. During the failure, the brake pedal was being pressed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,597. The consumer stated she no longer owns this vehicle. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER EFFORT TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. Consumer no longer owns the vehicle.*JB
I HAVE A WATER PUMP LEAK I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY KEEP ADDING WATER SO MY VEHICLE WON'T RUN HOT AND MY OXYGEN SENSORS ARE BAD IT DOESN'T IN MOTION AND STATIONARY
VEHICLE IS OVERDRAWING BATTERY CURRENT WHEN MOTOR IS RUNNING CAUSING ELECTRICAL POWER LOSS AT ENGINE IDLE. LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER CAUSES ENGINE TO STALL WHILE IN TRAVEL LANES. ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY ARE VERIFIED FUNCTIONAL.
CAR IS NOT ACCELERATING PROPERLY. THIS MAKES FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS IN AREAS WITH HIGH SPEED LIMITS SUCH AS THE HIGHWAY.
THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT WILL COME ON AND TURN BACK OFF AND FLASH 'SERVICE AIRBAG' MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE ALSO REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT IN MY CAR TWICE IN THE PAST YEAR AND I HAVE TO REPLACE IT AGAIN.
HAD TO CHANGE DEF RESERVOIR AND ENGINE OIL PSI SOLENOID VALVE AND MY SIDE SERIVCE ALERT IN BROKEN TOO AND AT 26000 MILES I ASK FOR NEW CAR BECAUSE I HAD 7 REPLACEMENT PART PUT ON CAR I WAS DEINED NEW CAR
HAVING A COOLANT LEAK AND CAN'T FIND THE SOURCE ..HAD DYE PUT IN BY MECHANIC TOLD TO DRIVE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS ..WENT BACK AND EVERYTHING IS DRY NO LEAK DETECTED BUT LOOSING COOLANT ..FAN COMES ON AC SHUT OFF DUE TO ENGINE OVERHEATING..SITTING AND OR DRIVING

ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START-UP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HURD AUTO MALL - CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 1705 HARTFORD AVE, JOHNSTON, RI 02919, WHERE THE TECHNICIAN REPROGRAMMED THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE AND SERVICED THE WIRING HARNESS. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT RECENTLY THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE ENGINE WAS ACTING UP. IT FELT LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING THE GAS TO SHIFT GEARS. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THEY REPLACED THE KNOCK SENSOR AND DID A TUNE UP. THE ISSUE CONTINUED SO WE HAD TO TAKE IT BACK AGAIN. WE WAS TOLD THE PISTON MELTED AND PUT A HOLE IN THE BLOCK. WE BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW, HAVE TAKEN IT FOR ALL REPAIRS AND OIL CHANGES, THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 90,000 MILES. WE ARE BEING TOLD THESE CARS HAVE THESE ISSUES AND TO JOIN IN A LAWSUIT BECAUSE THE MOTOR NEEDS REPLACED.
I was sitting at a red light and my vehicle began to move forward with my foot on the brake. The vehicle began to increase in rpm's like i was pushing on the accelerator but i was not!! Later that day i went to the gm dealer to see what they could find and didn't find anything cause the computer had reset since i had shut the car off. Two days later the car did the exact same thing so i immediately drove to the car dealer. Told them how dangerous that was and i couldn't believe the car was acting like i was giving it more gas when i wasn't!! They hooked it up to the computer and found the problem this time. It had to do with a crack in my pollution canister. With that crack my computer thought my car needed more gas and would give it more gas. I can't believe they let a computer program give your car more gas and you have no control of it and without warning. The first time it did it i was not prepared for it and when the computer gave my car more gas it began to move into the intersection and almost caused a horrible accident. Since the dealer replaced the pollution canister i have not had any problems. I have warned everyone i know about what happened and to be prepared for it. It just amazes me that more people haven't been seriously hurt by this! Hopefully that crack that caused my problems doesn't happen to anyone else!!
SERPENTINE BELT SHREDDED DUE YOU FAULTY VALVE COVER/GASKET
NOT SURE WHAT'S WRONG. I'VE FIXED THINGS ALREADY LIKE MASS FLOW SENSOR, AIR FILTER, MOTOR MOUNTS A VALVE LEAK. CARS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE MECHANICS FOR MONTHS. CARS ENGINE SHUT OFF 2-3 TIMES WHILE DRIVING WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR!!!!!. ANOTHER TIME IT TURNED OFF RIGHT AFTER I STARTED IT UP. THE CAR IS UNSAFE!!!!!! I'VE HAD IT HAD 2-3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS. AND THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP. THE CAR NEVER TURNS OFF FOR ANYONE BUT ME. THIS PAST WEEKEND I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PICK UP MY CAR FROM ONE SHOP TO TAKE TO ANOTHER AND IT WOULDN'T START. THIS SHOP HAD THE CAR FOR A WEEK AND A HALF AND IT NEVER TURNED OFF UNTIL I WENT TO PICK IT UP. NOW THEY STILL CAN'T FIND WHAT'S CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I'VE SPENT 2 GRAND IN LABOR AND TOWS IN JUST THE LAST 3-4 MONTHS. I CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS!!!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!!!!!! *TR
EVERY SUMMER THE SAME PROBLEMS OCCUR. WHEN DRIVING UPWARDS ON AN INCLINE STREET THE CAR LOSES ALL POWER. PUMPING THE GAS GETS IT RESTARTED VERY SLOWLY. ALSO, IN HOT WEATHER, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ONTO A HIGHWAY THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY FOR A FEW SECONDS. THE DEALER'S TECH CLAIMS IT IS A DESIGN PROBLEM AND THERE IS NOTHING THE DEALER CAN DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
WHEN I WAS DRIVING AT 30 MPH MY WHEEL LOCKED UP AND A MESSAGES APPEARED ON MY DASH SAYING POWER STEERING FAIL. I HAD NO CONTROL OVER MY WHEEL AND THAT HAPPENED TWICE IN A 5 MINUTE DRIVE. MY WHEEL NOW HAS RESISTANCE WHEN TURNING. THE NEXT DAY WHEN TRYING TO START MY CAR IT STALLED, WHEN STARTED AGAIN A MESSAGE APPEARED ABOUT THE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM BEING ACTIVATED- I COULDN'T DRIVE MY CAR. WHEN I RESTARTED IT AGAIN ANOTHER MESSAGE APPEARED SAYING 'ROLL DRIVER WINDOW DOWN AND BACK UP'. THE SAME NIGHT I WAS DRIVING 5 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD AND EVERYTHING INSIDE OF MY CAR TURNED OFF- DASHBOARD, LIGHTS, RADIO, I'M PRETTY SURE MY CAR EVEN TURNED OFF FOR THAT SECOND AND THAT HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE SPAN OF A 5 MINUTE DRIVE, ALL WHILE MY WHEEL IS STILL RESISTING TO TURN. ON A DIAGNOSIS NOTHING APPEARS TO BE WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND I AM VERY CONCERNED
MESSAGE "A/C OFF, ENGINE TOO HOT" AND FAN RUNNING LIKE CRAZY. QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH TELLS ME THIS IS A POPULAR PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. MOST SUGGESTIONS SAID IT WOULD BE A SENSOR. CHANGING THE SENSOR WORKED FOR 3 DAYS BEFORE PROBLEM CAME BACK. JUST 6 MONTHS AGO I HAD TO REPLACE THE WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT HOUSING FOR AN OVERHEATING ISSUE AS WELL.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50-70 MPH. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GATES CHEVY WORLD (636 W MCKINLEY AVE, MISHAWAKA, IN 46545, (574) 256-3000) WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE WATER PUMP WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT LEARNED OF A TSB FOR SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT (14371B). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE SPECIAL COVERAGE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 55,000.*DT*JB
WHEN I DRIVE THE LIGHTS ON THE INSIDE WITH GO OFF AND MY CAR STOPS WHILE DRIVING OR TAKING TURNS. ONE TIME I OPENED THE HOOD AND TOUCH A HOSE OR HIRE AND IT CAME BACK ON. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO TRY AND TURN THE KEY WHILE IT STOPS WHILE DRIVING AND RESTART IT IN THE MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY OR TURN. *TR
I AM HAVE ISSUES WITH THE P0420 ERROR CODE. I TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NOT BELIEVING WHAT HE SAID DUE TO THE CAR BEING FAIRLY NEW. I WENT TO AUTO ZONE TO HAVE THE CODES READ AND OF COURSE THE CODE DISPLAYS WITH THE P0420 CODE. I SEE THAT THIS WAS A RECALL ON CERTAIN MODELS BUT DID NOT INCLUDE MY 2014 PER VIN CHECK.*DT*JB
I HAVE A 2014 CHEVROLET CRUZE LT. ON MAY 20TH 2020 MY DRIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER STOPPED WORKING. TOOK CAR TO A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT FIXED THE NEXT DAY. THEY REPLACED THE MOTOR TO THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS. NOT EVEN 2 MONTHS LATER ON JULY 9TH 2020 THE DRIVER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER GOES OUT AGAIN.
MY CAR CONTINUOUSLY LOSES COOLANT IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. IT BEGINS TO SMOKE AND THE ENGINE OVERHEATS. THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS MAKING A 30 MINUTE TRIP ACROSS TOWN.
